- 이 책은 예수 그리스도께서 계시하신 일들을 기록한 책입니다. 하느님께서 곧 일어날 일들을 당신의 종들에게 보이시려고 그리스도에게 계시하셨고 그리스도께서는 당신의 천사를 당신의 종 요한에게 보내어 알려주셨습니다.
- 나 요한은 하느님의 말씀과 예수 그리스도께서 증언하신 것, 곧 내가 본 모든 것을 그대로 증언합니다.
- 이 예언의 말씀을 읽고 듣고 이 책에 기록되어 있는 대로 실천하는 사람들은 행복합니다. 그 일들이 성취될 때가 가까이 왔기 때문입니다.
- 나 요한은 아시아에 있는 일곱 교회에 이 편지를 씁니다. 지금 계시고 전에도 계셨고 또 장차 오실 그분과 그분의 옥좌 앞에 있는 일곱 영신께서,
- 그리고 진실한 증인이시며, 죽음으로부터 제일 먼저 살아나신 분이시며, 땅 위의 모든 왕들의 지배자이신 예수 그리스도께서 여러분에게 은총과 평화를 내려주시기를 빕니다. 우리를 사랑하신 나머지 당신의 피로써 우리를 죄에서 해방시켜 주시고

- The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave Him to show to His bond-servants, the things which must soon take place; and He sent and communicated it by His angel to His bond-servant John,
- who testified to the word of God and to the testimony of Jesus Christ, even to all that he saw.
- Blessed is he who reads and those who hear the words of the prophecy, and heed the things which are written in it; for the time is near.
- John to the seven churches that are in Asia: Grace to you and peace, from Him who is and who was and who is to come, and from the seven Spirits who are before His throne,
- and from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn of the dead, and the ruler of the kings of the earth To Him who loves us and released us from our sins by His blood--

- 우리로 하여금 한 왕국을 이루게 하시고 또 당신의 하느님 아버지를 섬기는 사제가 되게 하신 그분께서 영광과 권세를 영원 무궁토록 누리시기를 빕니다. 아멘.
- 그분은 구름을 타고 오십니다. 모든 눈이 그를 볼 것이며 그분을 찌른 자들도 볼 것입니다. 땅 위에서는 모든 민족이 그분 때문에 가슴을 칠 것입니다. 꼭 그렇게 될 것입니다. 아멘.
- 지금 계시고 전에도 계셨고 장차 오실 전능하신 주 하느님께서 "나는 알파요 오메가다." 하고 말씀하셨습니다.
- 여러분의 형제이며 함께 예수를 믿는 사람으로서 환난을 같이 겪고 한 나라의 백성으로서 같이 견디어온 나 요한은 하느님의 말씀을 전파하고 예수를 증언한 탓으로 파트모스라는 섬에 갇혀 있었습니다.
- 나는 주님의 날에 성령의 감동을 받고 내 뒤에서 울려오는 나팔 소리 같은 큰 음성을 들었습니다.

- and He has made us to be a kingdom, priests to His God and Father--to Him be the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.
- BEHOLD, HE IS COMING WITH THE CLOUDS, and every eye will see Him, even those who pierced Him; and all the tribes of the earth will mourn over Him. So it is to be. Amen.
- "I am the Alpha and the Omega," says the Lord God, "who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty."
- I, John, your brother and fellow partaker in the tribulation and kingdom and perseverance which are in Jesus, was on the island called Patmos because of the word of God and the testimony of Jesus.
- I was in the Spirit on the Lord's day, and I heard behind me a loud voice like the sound of a trumpet,

- 그 음성은 나에게 "네가 보는 것을 책으로 기록하여 에페소, 스미르나, 베르가모, 티아디라, 사르디스, 필라델피아, 라오디게이아 등 일곱 교회에 보내어라." 하고 말씀하셨습니다.
- 그래서 나는 누가 나에게 그런 말씀을 하시는지 알아보려고 돌아섰습니다. 돌아서서 보았더니 황금등경이 일곱 개 있었고
- 그 일곱 등경 한가운데에 사람같이 생긴 분이 서 계셨습니다. 그분은 발끝까지 내려오는 긴 옷을 입고 가슴에는 금띠를 띠고 계셨습니다.
- 그분의 머리와 머리털은 양털같이 또는 눈같이 희었으며 눈은 불꽃 같았고
- 발은 풀무불에 단 놋쇠 같았으며 음성은 큰 물 소리 같았습니다.

- saying, "Write in a book what you see, and send it to the seven churches: to Ephesus and to Smyrna and to Pergamum and to Thyatira and to Sardis and to Philadelphia and to Laodicea."
- Then I turned to see the voice that was speaking with me. And having turned I saw seven golden lampstands;
- and in the middle of the lampstands I saw one like a son of man, clothed in a robe reaching to the feet, and girded across His chest with a golden sash.
- His head and His hair were white like white wool, like snow; and His eyes were like a flame of fire.
- His feet were like burnished bronze, when it has been made to glow in a furnace, and His voice was like the sound of many waters.

- 오른손에는 일곱 별을 쥐고 계셨으며 입에서는 날카로운 쌍날칼이 나왔고 얼굴은 대낮의 태양처럼 빛났습니다.
- 나는 그분을 뵙자 마치 죽은 사람처럼 그분의 발 앞에 쓰러졌습니다. 그러자 그분은 나에게 오른손을 얹으시고 이렇게 말씀하셨습니다. "두려워하지 마라. 나는 처음과 마지막이고
- 살아 있는 존재이다. 나는 죽었었지만 이렇게 살아 있고 영원 무궁토록 살 것이다. 그리고 죽음과 지옥의 열쇠를 내 손에 쥐고 있다.
- 그러므로 너는 네가 이미 본 것과 지금 일어나고 있는 일들과 앞으로 일어날 일들을 기록하여라.
- 네가 보는 내 오른손의 일곱 별과 일곱 황금등경의 비밀은 다음과 같다. 일곱 별은 일곱 교회의 천사들이고 일곱 등경은 곧 일곱 교회이다.

- In His right hand He held seven stars, and out of His mouth came a sharp two-edged sword; and His face was like the sun shining in its strength.
- When I saw Him, I fell at His feet like a dead man And He placed His right hand on me, saying, "Do not be afraid; I am the first and the last,
- and the living One; and I was dead, and behold, I am alive forevermore, and I have the keys of death and of Hades.
- "Therefore write the things which you have seen, and the things which are, and the things which will take place after these things.
- "As for the mystery of the seven stars which you saw in My right hand, and the seven golden lampstands: the seven stars are the angels of the seven churches, and the seven lampstands are the seven churches.
