마태복음 25:31-26:13

 예수님께서는 양과 염소의 비유를 통해 최후의 심판을 경고하셨다. 이 때 대제사장들과 장로들은 예수님을 잡아 죽이기 위해 한창 의논하고 있었다. 한편 베다니에 오신 예수님에게 마리아는 향유를 부어 메시아의 장사를 예비하였다.
  
  심판의 경고(25:31-25:46)    
 
  1. 인자가 자기 영광으로 모든 천사와 함께 올 때에 자기 영광의 보좌에 앉으리니
  2. 모든 민족을 그 앞에 모으고 각각 구분하기를 목자가 양과 염소를 구분하는 것 같이 하여
  3. 양은 그 오른편에 염소는 왼편에 두리라
  4. 그 때에 임금이 그 오른편에 있는 자들에게 이르시되 내 아버지께 복 받을 자들이여 나아와 창세로부터 너희를 위하여 예비된 나라를 상속받으라
  5. 내가 주릴 때에 너희가 먹을 것을 주었고 목마를 때에 마시게 하였고 나그네 되었을 때에 영접하였고
  1. "When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, he will sit on his throne in heavenly glory.
  2. All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats.
  3. He will put the sheep on his right and the goats on his left.
  4. "Then the King will say to those on his right, 'Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world.
  5. For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in,
  1. 헐벗었을 때에 옷을 입혔고 병들었을 때에 돌보았고 옥에 갇혔을 때에 와서 보았느니라
  2. 이에 의인들이 대답하여 이르되 주여 우리가 어느 때에 주께서 주리신 것을 보고 음식을 대접하였으며 목마르신 것을 보고 마시게 하였나이까
  3. 어느 때에 나그네 되신 것을 보고 영접하였으며 헐벗으신 것을 보고 옷 입혔나이까
  4. 어느 때에 병드신 것이나 옥에 갇히신 것을 보고 가서 뵈었나이까 하리니
  5. 임금이 대답하여 이르시되 내가 진실로 너희에게 이르노니 너희가 여기 내 형제 중에 지극히 작은 자 하나에게 한 것이 곧 내게 한 것이니라 하시고
  1. I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.'
  2. "Then the righteous will answer him, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink?
  3. When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you?
  4. When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?'
  5. "The King will reply, 'I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.'
  1. 또 왼편에 있는 자들에게 이르시되 저주를 받은 자들아 나를 떠나 마귀와 그 사자들을 위하여 예비된 영원한 불에 들어가라
  2. 내가 주릴 때에 너희가 먹을 것을 주지 아니하였고 목마를 때에 마시게 하지 아니하였고
  3. 나그네 되었을 때에 영접하지 아니하였고 헐벗었을 때에 옷 입히지 아니하였고 병들었을 때와 옥에 갇혔을 때에 돌보지 아니하였느니라 하시니
  4. 그들도 대답하여 이르되 주여 우리가 어느 때에 주께서 주리신 것이나 목마르신 것이나 나그네 되신 것이나 헐벗으신 것이나 병드신 것이나 옥에 갇히신 것을 보고 공양하지 아니하더이까
  5. 이에 임금이 대답하여 이르시되 내가 진실로 너희에게 이르노니 이 지극히 작은 자 하나에게 하지 아니한 것이 곧 내게 하지 아니한 것이니라 하시리니
  1. "Then he will say to those on his left, 'Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels.
  2. For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink,
  3. I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me.'
  4. "They also will answer, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you?'
  5. "He will reply, 'I tell you the truth, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.'
  1. 그들은 영벌에, 의인들은 영생에 들어가리라 하시니라
  1. "Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life."
 
  향유 사건(26:1-26:13)    
 
  1. 예수께서 이 말씀을 다 마치시고 제자들에게 이르시되
  2. 너희가 아는 바와 같이 이틀이 지나면 유월절이라 인자가 십자가에 못 박히기 위하여 팔리리라 하시더라
  3. 그 때에 대제사장들과 백성의 장로들이 가야바라 하는 대제사장의 관정에 모여
  4. 예수를 흉계로 잡아 죽이려고 의논하되
  5. 말하기를 민란이 날까 하노니 명절에는 하지 말자 하더라
  1. When Jesus had finished saying all these things, he said to his disciples,
  2. "As you know, the Passover is two days away--and the Son of Man will be handed over to be crucified."
  3. Then the chief priests and the elders of the people assembled in the palace of the high priest, whose name was Caiaphas,
  4. and they plotted to arrest Jesus in some sly way and kill him.
  5. "But not during the Feast," they said, "or there may be a riot among the people."
  1. 예수께서 베다니 나병환자 시몬의 집에 계실 때에
  2. 한 여자가 매우 귀한 향유 한 옥합을 가지고 나아와서 식사하시는 예수의 머리에 부으니
  3. 제자들이 보고 분개하여 이르되 무슨 의도로 이것을 허비하느냐
  4. 이것을 비싼 값에 팔아 가난한 자들에게 줄 수 있었겠도다 하거늘
  5. 예수께서 아시고 그들에게 이르시되 너희가 어찌하여 이 여자를 괴롭게 하느냐 그가 내게 좋은 일을 하였느니라
  1. While Jesus was in Bethany in the home of a man known as Simon the Leper,
  2. a woman came to him with an alabaster jar of very expensive perfume, which she poured on his head as he was reclining at the table.
  3. When the disciples saw this, they were indignant. "Why this waste?" they asked.
  4. "This perfume could have been sold at a high price and the money given to the poor."
  5. Aware of this, Jesus said to them, "Why are you bothering this woman? She has done a beautiful thing to me.
  1. 가난한 자들은 항상 너희와 함께 있거니와 나는 항상 함께 있지 아니하리라
  2. 이 여자가 내 몸에 이 향유를 부은 것은 내 장례를 위하여 함이니라
  3. 내가 진실로 너희에게 이르노니 온 천하에 어디서든지 이 복음이 전파되는 곳에서는 이 여자가 행한 일도 말하여 그를 기억하리라 하시니라
  1. The poor you will always have with you, but you will not always have me.
  2. When she poured this perfume on my body, she did it to prepare me for burial.
  3. I tell you the truth, wherever this gospel is preached throughout the world, what she has done will also be told, in memory of her."
 
  아문(衙門, 26:3)  상급 관청의 총칭, 원뜻은 대제사장이 집무하는 건물
