- 우리가 바벨론의 여러 강변 거기에 앉아서 시온을 기억하며 울었도다
- 그 중의 버드나무에 우리가 우리의 수금을 걸었나니
- 이는 우리를 사로잡은 자가 거기서 우리에게 노래를 청하며 우리를 황폐하게 한 자가 기쁨을 청하고 자기들을 위하여 시온의 노래 중 하나를 노래하라 함이로다
- 우리가 이방 땅에서 어찌 여호와의 노래를 부를까
- 예루살렘아 내가 너를 잊을진대 내 오른손이 그의 재주를 잊을지로다

- By the rivers of Babylon we sat and wept when we remembered Zion.
- There on the poplars we hung our harps,
- for there our captors asked us for songs, our tormentors demanded songs of joy; they said, "Sing us one of the songs of Zion!"
- How can we sing the songs of the LORD while in a foreign land?
- If I forget you, O Jerusalem, may my right hand forget its skill .

- 내가 예루살렘을 기억하지 아니하거나 내가 가장 즐거워하는 것보다 더 즐거워하지 아니할진대 내 혀가 내 입천장에 붙을지로다
- 여호와여 예루살렘이 멸망하던 날을 기억하시고 에돔 자손을 치소서 그들의 말이 헐어 버리라 헐어 버리라 그 기초까지 헐어 버리라 하였나이다
- 멸망할 딸 바벨론아 네가 우리에게 행한 대로 네게 갚는 자가 복이 있으리로다
- 네 어린 것들을 바위에 메어치는 자는 복이 있으리로다

- May my tongue cling to the roof of my mouth if I do not remember you, if I do not consider Jerusalem my highest joy.
- Remember, O LORD, what the Edomites did on the day Jerusalem fell. "Tear it down," they cried, "tear it down to its foundations!"
- O Daughter of Babylon, doomed to destruction, happy is he who repays you for what you have done to us-
- he who seizes your infants and dashes them against the rocks.
