이사야 37:1-38:22

 히스기야는 하나님께 훼방하는 말을 한 산헤립에 대해 기도하였고, 하나님께서는 산헤립과 더불어 앗수르 군을 멸하셨다. 그 후 히스기야가 병들어 죽게 되어 하나님께 기도하자, 하나님께서는 그의 기도에 응답하셔서 생명을 15년 연장시켜 주셨다. 이에 히스기야는 하나님께 감사의 찬양을 드렸다.
  
  하나님을 의뢰한 히스기야(37:1-37:38)    
 
  1. 히스기야 왕이 듣고 자기의 옷을 찢고 굵은 베 옷을 입고 여호와의 전으로 갔고
  2. 왕궁 맡은 자 엘리아김과 서기관 셉나와 제사장 중 어른들도 굵은 베 옷을 입으니라 왕이 그들을 아모스의 아들 선지자 이사야에게로 보내매
  3. 그들이 이사야에게 이르되 히스기야의 말씀에 오늘은 환난과 책벌과 능욕의 날이라 아이를 낳으려 하나 해산할 힘이 없음 같도다
  4. 당신의 하나님 여호와께서 랍사게의 말을 들으셨을 것이라 그가 그의 상전 앗수르 왕의 보냄을 받고 살아 계시는 하나님을 훼방하였은즉 당신의 하나님 여호와께서 혹시 그 말로 말미암아 견책하실까 하노라 그런즉 바라건대 당신은 이 남아 있는 자를 위하여 기도하라 하시더이다 하니라
  5. 그리하여 히스기야 왕의 신하들이 이사야에게 나아가매
  1. When King Hezekiah heard this, he tore his clothes and put on sackcloth and went into the temple of the LORD.
  2. He sent Eliakim the palace administrator, Shebna the secretary, and the leading priests, all wearing sackcloth, to the prophet Isaiah son of Amoz.
  3. They told him, "This is what Hezekiah says: This day is a day of distress and rebuke and disgrace, as when children come to the point of birth and there is no strength to deliver them.
  4. It may be that the LORD your God will hear the words of the field commander, whom his master, the king of Assyria, has sent to ridicule the living God, and that he will rebuke him for the words the LORD your God has heard. Therefore pray for the remnant that still survives."
  5. When King Hezekiah's officials came to Isaiah,
  1. 이사야가 그들에게 이르되 너희는 너희 주에게 이렇게 말하라 여호와께서 이같이 말씀하시되 너희가 들은 바 앗수르 왕의 종들이 나를 능욕한 말로 말미암아 두려워하지 말라
  2. 보라 내가 영을 그의 속에 두리니 그가 소문을 듣고 그의 고국으로 돌아갈 것이며 또 내가 그를 그의 고국에서 칼에 죽게 하리라 하셨느니라 하니라
  3. 앗수르 왕이 라기스를 떠났다 함을 듣고 랍사게가 돌아가다가 그 왕을 만나니 립나를 치고 있더라
  4. 그 때에 앗수르 왕이 구스 왕 디르하가의 일에 관하여 들은즉 사람들이 이르기를 그가 나와서 왕과 싸우려 한다 하는지라 이 말을 듣고 사자들을 히스기야에게 보내며 이르되
  5. 너희는 유다의 히스기야 왕에게 이같이 말하여 이르기를 너는 네가 신뢰하는 하나님이 예루살렘이 앗수르 왕의 손에 넘어가지 아니하리라 하는 말에 속지 말라
  1. Isaiah said to them, "Tell your master, 'This is what the LORD says: Do not be afraid of what you have heard--those words with which the underlings of the king of Assyria have blasphemed me.
  2. Listen! I am going to put a spirit in him so that when he hears a certain report, he will return to his own country, and there I will have him cut down with the sword.' "
  3. When the field commander heard that the king of Assyria had left Lachish, he withdrew and found the king fighting against Libnah.
  4. Now Sennacherib received a report that Tirhakah, the Cushite king of Egypt , was marching out to fight against him. When he heard it, he sent messengers to Hezekiah with this word:
  5. "Say to Hezekiah king of Judah: Do not let the god you depend on deceive you when he says, 'Jerusalem will not be handed over to the king of Assyria.'
  1. 앗수르 왕들이 모든 나라에 어떤 일을 행하였으며 그것을 어떻게 멸절시켰는지 네가 들었으리니 네가 구원을 받겠느냐
  2. 나의 조상들이 멸하신 열방 고산과 하란과 레셉과 및 들라살에 있는 에덴 자손을 그 나라들의 신들이 건졌더냐
  3. 하맛 왕과 아르밧 왕과 스발와임 성의 왕과 헤나 왕과 이와 왕이 어디 있느냐 하라 하였더라
  4. 히스기야가 그 사자들의 손에서 글을 받아 보고 여호와의 전에 올라가서 그 글을 여호와 앞에 펴 놓고
  5. 여호와께 기도하여 이르되
  1. Surely you have heard what the kings of Assyria have done to all the countries, destroying them completely. And will you be delivered?
  2. Did the gods of the nations that were destroyed by my forefathers deliver them--the gods of Gozan, Haran, Rezeph and the people of Eden who were in Tel Assar?
  3. Where is the king of Hamath, the king of Arpad, the king of the city of Sepharvaim, or of Hena or Ivvah?"
  4. Hezekiah received the letter from the messengers and read it. Then he went up to the temple of the LORD and spread it out before the LORD.
  5. And Hezekiah prayed to the LORD :
  1. 그룹 사이에 계신 이스라엘 하나님 만군의 여호와여 주는 천하 만국에 유일하신 하나님이시라 주께서 천지를 만드셨나이다
  2. 여호와여 귀를 기울여 들으시옵소서 여호와여 눈을 뜨고 보시옵소서 산헤립이 사람을 보내어 살아 계시는 하나님을 훼방한 모든 말을 들으시옵소서
  3. 여호와여 앗수르 왕들이 과연 열국과 그들의 땅을 황폐하게 하였고
  4. 그들의 신들을 불에 던졌사오나 그들은 신이 아니라 사람의 손으로 만든 것일 뿐이요 나무와 돌이라 그러므로 멸망을 당하였나이다
  5. 우리 하나님 여호와여 이제 우리를 그의 손에서 구원하사 천하 만국이 주만이 여호와이신 줄을 알게 하옵소서 하니라
  1. "O LORD Almighty, God of Israel, enthroned between the cherubim, you alone are God over all the kingdoms of the earth. You have made heaven and earth.
  2. Give ear, O LORD, and hear; open your eyes, O LORD, and see; listen to all the words Sennacherib has sent to insult the living God.
  3. "It is true, O LORD, that the Assyrian kings have laid waste all these peoples and their lands.
  4. They have thrown their gods into the fire and destroyed them, for they were not gods but only wood and stone, fashioned by human hands.
  5. Now, O LORD our God, deliver us from his hand, so that all kingdoms on earth may know that you alone, O LORD, are God. "
  1. 아모스의 아들 이사야가 사람을 보내어 히스기야에게 이르되 이스라엘의 하나님 여호와께서 말씀하시되 네가 앗수르의 산헤립 왕의 일로 내게 기도하였도다 하시고
  2. 여호와께서 그에 대하여 이같이 이르시되 처녀 딸 시온이 너를 멸시하며 조소하였고 딸 예루살렘이 너를 향하여 머리를 흔들었느니라
  3. 네가 훼방하며 능욕한 것은 누구에게냐 네가 소리를 높이며 눈을 높이 들어 향한 것은 누구에게냐 곧 이스라엘의 거룩하신 이에게니라
  4. 네가 네 종을 통해서 주를 훼방하여 이르기를 내가 나의 허다한 병거를 거느리고 산들의 꼭대기에 올라가며 레바논의 깊은 곳에 이르렀으니 높은 백향목과 아름다운 향나무를 베고 또 그 제일 높은 곳에 들어가 살진 땅의 수풀에 이를 것이며
  5. 내가 우물을 파서 물을 마셨으니 내 발바닥으로 애굽의 모든 하수를 말리리라 하였도다
  1. Then Isaiah son of Amoz sent a message to Hezekiah: "This is what the LORD, the God of Israel, says: Because you have prayed to me concerning Sennacherib king of Assyria,
  2. this is the word the LORD has spoken against him: "The Virgin Daughter of Zion despises and mocks you. The Daughter of Jerusalem tosses her head as you flee.
  3. Who is it you have insulted and blasphemed? Against whom have you raised your voice and lifted your eyes in pride? Against the Holy One of Israel!
  4. By your messengers you have heaped insults on the Lord. And you have said, 'With my many chariots I have ascended the heights of the mountains, the utmost heights of Lebanon. I have cut down its tallest cedars, the choicest of its pines. I have reached its remotest heights, the finest of its forests.
  5. I have dug wells in foreign lands and drunk the water there. With the soles of my feet I have dried up all the streams of Egypt.'
  1. 네가 어찌하여 듣지 못하였느냐 이 일들은 내가 태초부터 행한 바요 상고부터 정한 바로서 이제 내가 이루어 네가 견고한 성읍들을 헐어 돌무더기가 되게 하였노라
  2. 그러므로 그 주민들이 힘이 약하여 놀라며 수치를 당하여 들의 풀 같이, 푸른 나물 같이, 지붕의 풀 같이, 자라지 못한 곡초 같이 되었느니라
  3. 네 거처와 네 출입과 네가 나를 거슬러 분노함을 내가 아노라
  4. 네가 나를 거슬러 분노함과 네 오만함이 내 귀에 들렸으므로 내가 갈고리로 네 코를 꿰며 재갈을 네 입에 물려 너를 오던 길로 돌아가게 하리라 하셨나이다
  5. 왕이여 이것이 왕에게 징조가 되리니 올해는 스스로 난 것을 먹을 것이요 둘째 해에는 또 거기에서 난 것을 먹을 것이요 셋째 해에는 심고 거두며 포도나무를 심고 그 열매를 먹을 것이니이다
  1. "Have you not heard? Long ago I ordained it. In days of old I planned it; now I have brought it to pass, that you have turned fortified cities into piles of stone.
  2. Their people, drained of power, are dismayed and put to shame. They are like plants in the field, like tender green shoots, like grass sprouting on the roof, scorched before it grows up.
  3. "But I know where you stay and when you come and go and how you rage against me.
  4. Because you rage against me and because your insolence has reached my ears, I will put my hook in your nose and my bit in your mouth, and I will make you return by the way you came.
  5. "This will be the sign for you, O Hezekiah: "This year you will eat what grows by itself, and the second year what springs from that. But in the third year sow and reap, plant vineyards and eat their fruit.
  1. 유다 족속 중에 피하여 남은 자는 다시 아래로 뿌리를 박고 위로 열매를 맺으리니
  2. 이는 남은 자가 예루살렘에서 나오며 피하는 자가 시온 산에서 나올 것임이라 만군의 여호와의 열심이 이를 이루시리이다
  3. 그러므로 여호와께서 앗수르 왕에 대하여 이같이 이르시되 그가 이 성에 이르지 못하며 화살 하나도 이리로 쏘지 못하며 방패를 가지고 성에 가까이 오지도 못하며 흉벽을 쌓고 치지도 못할 것이요
  4. 그가 오던 길 곧 그 길로 돌아가고 이 성에 이르지 못하리라 나 여호와의 말이니라
  5. 대저 내가 나를 위하며 내 종 다윗을 위하여 이 성을 보호하며 구원하리라 하셨나이다 하니라
  1. Once more a remnant of the house of Judah will take root below and bear fruit above.
  2. For out of Jerusalem will come a remnant, and out of Mount Zion a band of survivors. The zeal of the LORD Almighty will accomplish this.
  3. "Therefore this is what the LORD says concerning the king of Assyria: "He will not enter this city or shoot an arrow here. He will not come before it with shield or build a siege ramp against it.
  4. By the way that he came he will return; he will not enter this city," declares the LORD.
  5. "I will defend this city and save it, for my sake and for the sake of David my servant!"
  1. 여호와의 사자가 나가서 앗수르 진중에서 십팔만 오천인을 쳤으므로 아침에 일찍이 일어나 본즉 시체뿐이라
  2. 이에 앗수르의 산헤립 왕이 떠나 돌아가서 니느웨에 거주하더니
  3. 자기 신 니스록의 신전에서 경배할 때에 그의 아들 아드람멜렉과 사레셀이 그를 칼로 죽이고 아라랏 땅으로 도망하였으므로 그의 아들 에살핫돈이 이어 왕이 되니라
  1. Then the angel of the LORD went out and put to death a hundred and eighty-five thousand men in the Assyrian camp. When the people got up the next morning--there were all the dead bodies!
  2. So Sennacherib king of Assyria broke camp and withdrew. He returned to Nineveh and stayed there.
  3. One day, while he was worshiping in the temple of his god Nisroch, his sons Adrammelech and Sharezer cut him down with the sword, and they escaped to the land of Ararat. And Esarhaddon his son succeeded him as king.
 
  히스기야의 치유(38:1-38:22)    
 
  1. 그 때에 히스기야가 병들어 죽게 되니 아모스의 아들 선지자 이사야가 나아가 그에게 이르되 여호와께서 이같이 말씀하시기를 너는 네 집에 유언하라 네가 죽고 살지 못하리라 하셨나이다 하니
  2. 히스기야가 얼굴을 벽으로 향하고 여호와께 기도하여
  3. 이르되 여호와여 구하오니 내가 주 앞에서 진실과 전심으로 행하며 주의 목전에서 선하게 행한 것을 기억하옵소서 하고 히스기야가 심히 통곡하니
  4. 이에 여호와의 말씀이 이사야에게 임하여 이르시되
  5. 너는 가서 히스기야에게 이르기를 네 조상 다윗의 하나님 여호와께서 이같이 말씀하시기를 내가 네 기도를 들었고 네 눈물을 보았노라 내가 네 수한에 십오 년을 더하고
  1. In those days Hezekiah became ill and was at the point of death. The prophet Isaiah son of Amoz went to him and said, "This is what the LORD says: Put your house in order, because you are going to die; you will not recover."
  2. Hezekiah turned his face to the wall and prayed to the LORD,
  3. "Remember, O LORD, how I have walked before you faithfully and with wholehearted devotion and have done what is good in your eyes." And Hezekiah wept bitterly.
  4. Then the word of the LORD came to Isaiah:
  5. "Go and tell Hezekiah, 'This is what the LORD, the God of your father David, says: I have heard your prayer and seen your tears; I will add fifteen years to your life.
  1. 너와 이 성을 앗수르 왕의 손에서 건져내겠고 내가 또 이 성을 보호하리라
  2. 이는 여호와께로 말미암는 너를 위한 징조이니 곧 여호와께서 하신 말씀을 그가 이루신다는 증거이니라
  3. 보라 아하스의 해시계에 나아갔던 해 그림자를 뒤로 십 도를 물러가게 하리라 하셨다 하라 하시더니 이에 해시계에 나아갔던 해의 그림자가 십 도를 물러가니라
  4. 유다 왕 히스기야가 병들었다가 그의 병이 나은 때에 기록한 글이 이러하니라
  5. 내가 말하기를 나의 중년에 스올의 문에 들어가고 나의 여생을 빼앗기게 되리라 하였도다
  1. And I will deliver you and this city from the hand of the king of Assyria. I will defend this city.
  2. " 'This is the LORD's sign to you that the LORD will do what he has promised:
  3. I will make the shadow cast by the sun go back the ten steps it has gone down on the stairway of Ahaz.' " So the sunlight went back the ten steps it had gone down.
  4. A writing of Hezekiah king of Judah after his illness and recovery:
  5. I said, "In the prime of my life must I go through the gates of death and be robbed of the rest of my years?"
  1. 내가 또 말하기를 내가 다시는 여호와를 뵈옵지 못하리니 산 자의 땅에서 다시는 여호와를 뵈옵지 못하겠고 내가 세상의 거민 중에서 한 사람도 다시는 보지 못하리라 하였도다
  2. 나의 거처는 목자의 장막을 걷음 같이 나를 떠나 옮겨졌고 직공이 베를 걷어 말음 같이 내가 내 생명을 말았도다 주께서 나를 틀에서 끊으시리니 조석간에 나를 끝내시리라
  3. 내가 아침까지 견디었사오나 주께서 사자 같이 나의 모든 뼈를 꺾으시오니 조석간에 나를 끝내시리라
  4. 나는 제비 같이, 학 같이 지저귀며 비둘기 같이 슬피 울며 내 눈이 쇠하도록 앙망하나이다 여호와여 내가 압제를 받사오니 나의 중보가 되옵소서
  5. 주께서 내게 말씀하시고 또 친히 이루셨사오니 내가 무슨 말씀을 하오리이까 내 영혼의 고통으로 말미암아 내가 종신토록 방황하리이다
  1. I said, "I will not again see the LORD, the LORD, in the land of the living; no longer will I look on mankind, or be with those who now dwell in this world.
  2. Like a shepherd's tent my house has been pulled down and taken from me. Like a weaver I have rolled up my life, and he has cut me off from the loom; day and night you made an end of me.
  3. I waited patiently till dawn, but like a lion he broke all my bones; day and night you made an end of me.
  4. I cried like a swift or thrush, I moaned like a mourning dove. My eyes grew weak as I looked to the heavens. I am troubled; O Lord, come to my aid!"
  5. But what can I say? He has spoken to me, and he himself has done this. I will walk humbly all my years because of this anguish of my soul.
  1. 주여 사람이 사는 것이 이에 있고 내 심령의 생명도 온전히 거기에 있사오니 원하건대 나를 치료하시며 나를 살려 주옵소서
  2. 보옵소서 내게 큰 고통을 더하신 것은 내게 평안을 주려 하심이라 주께서 내 영혼을 사랑하사 멸망의 구덩이에서 건지셨고 내 모든 죄를 주의 등 뒤에 던지셨나이다
  3. 스올이 주께 감사하지 못하며 사망이 주를 찬양하지 못하며 구덩이에 들어간 자가 주의 신실을 바라지 못하되
  4. 오직 산 자 곧 산 자는 오늘 내가 하는 것과 같이 주께 감사하며 주의 신실을 아버지가 그의 자녀에게 알게 하리이다
  5. 여호와께서 나를 구원하시리니 우리가 종신토록 여호와의 전에서 수금으로 나의 노래를 노래하리로다
  1. Lord, by such things men live; and my spirit finds life in them too. You restored me to health and let me live.
  2. Surely it was for my benefit that I suffered such anguish. In your love you kept me from the pit of destruction; you have put all my sins behind your back.
  3. For the grave cannot praise you, death cannot sing your praise; those who go down to the pit cannot hope for your faithfulness.
  4. The living, the living--they praise you, as I am doing today; fathers tell their children about your faithfulness.
  5. The LORD will save me, and we will sing with stringed instruments all the days of our lives in the temple of the LORD.
  1. 이사야가 이르기를 한 뭉치 무화과를 가져다가 종처에 붙이면 왕이 나으리라 하였고
  2. 히스기야도 말하기를 내가 여호와의 전에 올라갈 징조가 무엇이냐 하였더라
  1. Isaiah had said, "Prepare a poultice of figs and apply it to the boil, and he will recover."
  2. Hezekiah had asked, "What will be the sign that I will go up to the temple of the LORD ?"
