	아모스 4:1-6:14 아모스는 바산의 암소들로 비유되는 북이스라엘의 상류층 사람들에 대한 심판을 선포한 후, 여러 재앙을 당해도 도무지 회개하지 않고 형식적으로만 하나님을 섬기는 북이스라엘의 전 국민에게 심판을 선포하였다. 그는 북이스라엘의 멸망에 대한 애가를 불렀으며, 피할 수 없는 야웨의 날의 심판을 알렸다.

	북이스라엘의 심판(4:1-6:14)

사마리아의 산에 있는 바산의 암소들아 이 말을 들으라 너희는 힘 없는 자를 학대하며 가난한 자를 압제하며 가장에게 이르기를 술을 가져다가 우리로 마시게 하라 하는도다

주 여호와께서 자기의 거룩함을 두고 맹세하시되 때가 너희에게 이를지라 사람이 갈고리로 너희를 끌어 가며 낚시로 너희의 남은 자들도 그리하리라

너희가 성 무너진 데를 통하여 각기 앞으로 바로 나가서 하르몬에 던져지리라 여호와의 말씀이니라

너희는 벧엘에 가서 범죄하며 길갈에 가서 죄를 더하며 아침마다 너희 희생을, 삼일마다 너희 십일조를 드리며

누룩 넣은 것을 불살라 수은제로 드리며 낙헌제를 소리내어 선포하려무나 이스라엘 자손들아 이것이 너희가 기뻐하는 바니라 주 여호와의 말씀이니라

Hear this word, ye kine of Bashan, that are in the mountain of Samaria, which oppress the poor, which crush the needy, which say to their masters, Bring, and let us drink.

The Lord GOD hath sworn by his holiness, that, lo, the days shall come upon you, that he will take you away with hooks, and your posterity with fishhooks.

And ye shall go out at the breaches, every cow at that which is before her; and ye shall cast them into the palace, saith the LORD.

Come to Bethel, and transgress; at Gilgal multiply transgression; and bring your sacrifices every morning, and your tithes after three years:

And offer a sacrifice of thanksgiving with leaven, and proclaim and publish the free offerings: for this liketh you, O ye children of Israel, saith the Lord GOD.

또 내가 너희 모든 성읍에서 너희 이를 깨끗하게 하며 너희의 각 처소에서 양식이 떨어지게 하였으나 너희가 내게로 돌아오지 아니하였느니라 여호와의 말씀이니라

또 추수하기 석 달 전에 내가 너희에게 비를 멈추게 하여 어떤 성읍에는 내리고 어떤 성읍에는 내리지 않게 하였더니 땅 한 부분은 비를 얻고 한 부분은 비를 얻지 못하여 말랐으매

두 세 성읍 사람이 어떤 성읍으로 비틀거리며 물을 마시러 가서 만족하게 마시지 못하였으나 너희가 내게로 돌아오지 아니하였느니라 여호와의 말씀이니라

내가 곡식을 마르게 하는 재앙과 깜부기 재앙으로 너희를 쳤으며 팥중이로 너희의 많은 동산과 포도원과 무화과나무와 감람나무를 다 먹게 하였으나 너희가 내게로 돌아오지 아니하였느니라 여호와의 말씀이니라

내가 너희 중에 전염병 보내기를 애굽에서 한 것처럼 하였으며 칼로 너희 청년들을 죽였으며 너희 말들을 노략하게 하며 너희 진영의 악취로 코를 찌르게 하였으나 너희가 내게로 돌아오지 아니하였느니라 여호와의 말씀이니라

And I also have given you cleanness of teeth in all your cities, and want of bread in all your places: yet have ye not returned unto me, saith the LORD.

And also I have withholden the rain from you, when there were yet three months to the harvest: and I caused it to rain upon one city, and caused it not to rain upon another city: one piece was rained upon, and the piece whereupon it rained not withered.

So two or three cities wandered unto one city, to drink water; but they were not satisfied: yet have ye not returned unto me, saith the LORD.

I have smitten you with blasting and mildew: when your gardens and your vineyards and your fig trees and your olive trees increased, the palmerworm devoured them: yet have ye not returned unto me, saith the LORD.

I have sent among you the pestilence after the manner of Egypt: your young men have I slain with the sword, and have taken away your horses; and I have made the stink of your camps to come up unto your nostrils: yet have ye not returned unto me, saith the LORD.

내가 너희 중의 성읍 무너뜨리기를 하나님인 내가 소돔과 고모라를 무너뜨림 같이 하였으므로 너희가 불붙는 가운데서 빼낸 나무 조각 같이 되었으나 너희가 내게로 돌아오지 아니하였느니라 여호와의 말씀이니라

그러므로 이스라엘아 내가 이와 같이 네게 행하리라 내가 이것을 네게 행하리니 이스라엘아 네 하나님 만나기를 준비하라

보라 산들을 지으며 바람을 창조하며 자기 뜻을 사람에게 보이며 아침을 어둡게 하며 땅의 높은 데를 밟는 이는 그의 이름이 만군의 하나님 여호와시니라

I have overthrown some of you, as God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah, and ye were as a firebrand plucked out of the burning: yet have ye not returned unto me, saith the LORD.

Therefore thus will I do unto thee, O Israel: and because I will do this unto thee, prepare to meet thy God, O Israel.

For, lo, he that formeth the mountains, and createth the wind, and declareth unto man what is his thought, that maketh the morning darkness, and treadeth upon the high places of the earth, The LORD, The God of hosts, is his name.

이스라엘 족속아 내가 너희에게 대하여 애가로 지은 이 말을 들으라

처녀 이스라엘이 엎드러졌음이여 다시 일어나지 못하리로다 자기 땅에 던지움이여 일으킬 자 없으리로다

주 여호와께서 이와 같이 말씀하시되 이스라엘 중에서 천 명이 행군해 나가던 성읍에는 백 명만 남고 백 명이 행군해 나가던 성읍에는 열 명만 남으리라 하셨느니라

여호와께서 이스라엘 족속에게 이와 같이 말씀하시기를 너희는 나를 찾으라 그리하면 살리라

벧엘을 찾지 말며 길갈로 들어가지 말며 브엘세바로도 나아가지 말라 길갈은 반드시 사로잡히겠고 벧엘은 비참하게 될 것임이라 하셨나니

Hear ye this word which I take up against you, even a lamentation, O house of Israel.

The virgin of Israel is fallen; she shall no more rise: she is forsaken upon her land; there is none to raise her up.

For thus saith the Lord GOD; The city that went out by a thousand shall leave an hundred, and that which went forth by an hundred shall leave ten, to the house of Israel.

For thus saith the LORD unto the house of Israel, Seek ye me, and ye shall live:

But seek not Bethel, nor enter into Gilgal, and pass not to Beersheba: for Gilgal shall surely go into captivity, and Bethel shall come to nought.

너희는 여호와를 찾으라 그리하면 살리라 그렇지 않으면 그가 불 같이 요셉의 집에 임하여 멸하시리니 벧엘에서 그 불들을 끌 자가 없으리라

정의를 쓴 쑥으로 바꾸며 공의를 땅에 던지는 자들아

묘성과 삼성을 만드시며 사망의 그늘을 아침으로 바꾸시고 낮을 어두운 밤으로 바꾸시며 바닷물을 불러 지면에 쏟으시는 이를 찾으라 그의 이름은 여호와시니라

그가 강한 자에게 갑자기 패망이 이르게 하신즉 그 패망이 산성에 미치느니라

무리가 성문에서 책망하는 자를 미워하며 정직히 말하는 자를 싫어하는도다

Seek the LORD, and ye shall live; lest he break out like fire in the house of Joseph, and devour it, and there be none to quench it in Bethel.

Ye who turn judgment to wormwood, and leave off righteousness in the earth,

Seek him that maketh the seven stars and Orion, and turneth the shadow of death into the morning, and maketh the day dark with night: that calleth for the waters of the sea, and poureth them out upon the face of the earth: The LORD is his name:

That strengtheneth the spoiled against the strong, so that the spoiled shall come against the fortress.

They hate him that rebuketh in the gate, and they abhor him that speaketh uprightly.

너희가 힘없는 자를 밟고 그에게서 밀의 부당한 세를 거두었은즉 너희가 비록 다듬은 돌로 집을 건축하였으나 거기 거주하지 못할 것이요 아름다운 포도원을 가꾸었으나 그 포도주를 마시지 못하리라

너희의 허물이 많고 죄악이 무거움을 내가 아노라 너희는 의인을 학대하며 뇌물을 받고 성문에서 가난한 자를 억울하게 하는 자로다

그러므로 이런 때에 지혜자가 잠잠하나니 이는 악한 때임이니라

너희는 살려면 선을 구하고 악을 구하지 말지어다 만군의 하나님 여호와께서 너희의 말과 같이 너희와 함께 하시리라

너희는 악을 미워하고 선을 사랑하며 성문에서 정의를 세울지어다 만군의 하나님 여호와께서 혹시 요셉의 남은 자를 불쌍히 여기시리라

Forasmuch therefore as your treading is upon the poor, and ye take from him burdens of wheat: ye have built houses of hewn stone, but ye shall not dwell in them; ye have planted pleasant vineyards, but ye shall not drink wine of them.

For I know your manifold transgressions and your mighty sins: they afflict the just, they take a bribe, and they turn aside the poor in the gate from their right.

Therefore the prudent shall keep silence in that time; for it is an evil time.

Seek good, and not evil, that ye may live: and so the LORD, the God of hosts, shall be with you, as ye have spoken.

Hate the evil, and love the good, and establish judgment in the gate: it may be that the LORD God of hosts will be gracious unto the remnant of Joseph.

그러므로 주 만군의 하나님 여호와께서 이와 같이 말씀하시기를 사람이 모든 광장에서 울겠고 모든 거리에서 슬프도다 슬프도다 하겠으며 농부를 불러다가 애곡하게 하며 울음꾼을 불러다가 울게 할 것이며

모든 포도원에서도 울리니 이는 내가 너희 가운데로 지나갈 것임이라 여호와의 말씀이니라

화 있을진저 여호와의 날을 사모하는 자여 너희가 어찌하여 여호와의 날을 사모하느냐 그 날은 어둠이요 빛이 아니라

마치 사람이 사자를 피하다가 곰을 만나거나 혹은 집에 들어가서 손을 벽에 대었다가 뱀에게 물림 같도다

여호와의 날은 빛 없는 어둠이 아니며 빛남 없는 캄캄함이 아니냐

Therefore the LORD, the God of hosts, the LORD, saith thus; Wailing shall be in all streets; and they shall say in all the highways, Alas! alas! and they shall call the husbandman to mourning, and such as are skilful of lamentation to wailing.

And in all vineyards shall be wailing: for I will pass through thee, saith the LORD.

Woe unto you that desire the day of the LORD! to what end is it for you? the day of the LORD is darkness, and not light.

As if a man did flee from a lion, and a bear met him; or went into the house, and leaned his hand on the wall, and a serpent bit him.

Shall not the day of the LORD be darkness, and not light? even very dark, and no brightness in it?

내가 너희 절기들을 미워하여 멸시하며 너희 성회들을 기뻐하지 아니하나니

너희가 내게 번제나 소제를 드릴지라도 내가 받지 아니할 것이요 너희의 살진 희생의 화목제도 내가 돌아보지 아니하리라

네 노랫소리를 내 앞에서 그칠지어다 네 비파 소리도 내가 듣지 아니하리라

오직 정의를 물 같이, 공의를 마르지 않는 강 같이 흐르게 할지어다

이스라엘 족속아 너희가 사십 년 동안 광야에서 희생과 소제물을 내게 드렸느냐

I hate, I despise your feast days, and I will not smell in your solemn assemblies.

Though ye offer me burnt offerings and your meat offerings, I will not accept them: neither will I regard the peace offerings of your fat beasts.

Take thou away from me the noise of thy songs; for I will not hear the melody of thy viols.

But let judgment run down as waters, and righteousness as a mighty stream.

Have ye offered unto me sacrifices and offerings in the wilderness forty years, O house of Israel?

너희가 너희 왕 식굿과 기윤과 너희 우상들과 너희가 너희를 위하여 만든 신들의 별 형상을 지고 가리라

내가 너희를 다메섹 밖으로 사로잡혀 가게 하리라 그의 이름이 만군의 하나님이라 불리우는 여호와께서 말씀하셨느니라

But ye have borne the tabernacle of your Moloch and Chiun your images, the star of your god, which ye made to yourselves.

Therefore will I cause you to go into captivity beyond Damascus, saith the LORD, whose name is The God of hosts.

화 있을진저 시온에서 교만한 자와 사마리아 산에서 마음이 든든한 자 곧 백성들의 머리인 지도자들이여 이스라엘 집이 그들을 따르는도다

너희는 갈레로 건너가 보고 거기에서 큰 하맛으로 가고 또 블레셋 사람의 가드로 내려가라 너희가 이 나라들보다 나으냐 그 영토가 너희 영토보다 넓으냐

너희는 흉한 날이 멀다 하여 포악한 자리로 가까워지게 하고

상아 상에 누우며 침상에서 기지개 켜며 양 떼에서 어린 양과 우리에서 송아지를 잡아서 먹고

비파 소리에 맞추어 노래를 지절거리며 다윗처럼 자기를 위하여 악기를 제조하며

Woe to them that are at ease in Zion, and trust in the mountain of Samaria, which are named chief of the nations, to whom the house of Israel came!

Pass ye unto Calneh, and see; and from thence go ye to Hamath the great: then go down to Gath of the Philistines: be they better than these kingdoms? or their border greater than your border?

Ye that put far away the evil day, and cause the seat of violence to come near;

That lie upon beds of ivory, and stretch themselves upon their couches, and eat the lambs out of the flock, and the calves out of the midst of the stall;

That chant to the sound of the viol, and invent to themselves instruments of musick, like David;

대접으로 포도주를 마시며 귀한 기름을 몸에 바르면서 요셉의 환난에 대하여는 근심하지 아니하는 자로다

그러므로 그들이 이제는 사로잡히는 자 중에 앞서 사로잡히리니 기지개 켜는 자의 떠드는 소리가 그치리라

만군의 하나님 여호와의 말씀이니라 주 여호와가 당신을 두고 맹세하셨노라 내가 야곱의 영광을 싫어하며 그 궁궐들을 미워하므로 이 성읍과 거기에 가득한 것을 원수에게 넘기리라 하셨느니라

한 집에 열 사람이 남는다 하여도 다 죽을 것이라

죽은 사람의 친척 곧 그 시체를 불사를 자가 그 뼈를 집 밖으로 가져갈 때에 그 집 깊숙한 곳에 있는 자에게 묻기를 아직 더 있느냐 하면 대답하기를 없다 하리니 그가 또 말하기를 잠잠하라 우리가 여호와의 이름을 부르지 못할 것이라 하리라

That drink wine in bowls, and anoint themselves with the chief ointments: but they are not grieved for the affliction of Joseph.

Therefore now shall they go captive with the first that go captive, and the banquet of them that stretched themselves shall be removed.

The Lord GOD hath sworn by himself, saith the LORD the God of hosts, I abhor the excellency of Jacob, and hate his palaces: therefore will I deliver up the city with all that is therein.

And it shall come to pass, if there remain ten men in one house, that they shall die.

And a man's uncle shall take him up, and he that burneth him, to bring out the bones out of the house, and shall say unto him that is by the sides of the house, Is there yet any with thee? and he shall say, No. Then shall he say, Hold thy tongue: for we may not make mention of the name of the LORD.

보라 여호와께서 명령하시므로 타격을 받아 큰 집은 갈라지고 작은 집은 터지리라

말들이 어찌 바위 위에서 달리겠으며 소가 어찌 거기서 밭 갈겠느냐 그런데 너희는 정의를 쓸개로 바꾸며 공의의 열매를 쓴 쑥으로 바꾸며

허무한 것을 기뻐하며 이르기를 우리는 우리의 힘으로 뿔들을 취하지 아니하였느냐 하는도다

만군의 하나님 여호와의 말씀이니라 이스라엘 족속아 내가 한 나라를 일으켜 너희를 치리니 그들이 하맛 어귀에서부터 아라바 시내까지 너희를 학대하리라 하셨느니라

For, behold, the LORD commandeth, and he will smite the great house with breaches, and the little house with clefts.

Shall horses run upon the rock? will one plow there with oxen? for ye have turned judgment into gall, and the fruit of righteousness into hemlock:

Ye which rejoice in a thing of nought, which say, Have we not taken to us horns by our own strength?

But, behold, I will raise up against you a nation, O house of Israel, saith the LORD the God of hosts; and they shall afflict you from the entering in of Hemath unto the river of the wilderness.
