마태복음 18:15-18:35

 예수께서 죄 지은 형제를 돌이키는 방법을 말씀하시고, 무자비한 종의 비유를 통해서 중심으로 형제를 용서해야 함을 교훈하셨다.
  
  범죄한 형제에 대한 태도(18:15-18:22)    
 
  1. 네 형제가 죄를 범하거든 가서 너와 그 사람과만 상대하여 권고하라 만일 들으면 네가 네 형제를 얻은 것이요
  2. 만일 듣지 않거든 한두 사람을 데리고 가서 두세 증인의 입으로 말마다 확증하게 하라
  3. 만일 그들의 말도 듣지 않거든 교회에 말하고 교회의 말도 듣지 않거든 이방인과 세리와 같이 여기라
  4. 진실로 너희에게 이르노니 무엇이든지 너희가 땅에서 매면 하늘에서도 매일 것이요 무엇이든지 땅에서 풀면 하늘에서도 풀리리라
  5. 진실로 다시 너희에게 이르노니 너희 중의 두 사람이 땅에서 합심하여 무엇이든지 구하면 하늘에 계신 내 아버지께서 그들을 위하여 이루게 하시리라
  1. "If your brother sins, go and show him his fault in private; if he listens to you, you have won your brother.
  2. "But if he does not listen to you, take one or two more with you, so that BY THE MOUTH OF TWO OR THREE WITNESSES EVERY FACT MAY BE CONFIRMED.
  3. "If he refuses to listen to them, tell it to the church; and if he refuses to listen even to the church, let him be to you as a Gentile and a tax collector.
  4. "Truly I say to you, whatever you bind on earth shall have been bound in heaven; and whatever you loose on earth shall have been loosed in heaven.
  5. "Again I say to you, that if two of you agree on earth about anything that they may ask, it shall be done for them by My Father who is in heaven.
  1. 두세 사람이 내 이름으로 모인 곳에는 나도 그들 중에 있느니라
  2. 그 때에 베드로가 나아와 이르되 주여 형제가 내게 죄를 범하면 몇 번이나 용서하여 주리이까 일곱 번까지 하오리이까
  3. 예수께서 이르시되 네게 이르노니 일곱 번뿐 아니라 일곱 번을 일흔 번까지라도 할지니라
  1. "For where two or three have gathered together in My name, I am there in their midst."
  2. Then Peter came and said to Him, "Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me and I forgive him? Up to seven times?"
  3. Jesus said to him, "I do not say to you, up to seven times, but up to seventy times seven.
 
  무자비한 종의 비유(18:23-18:35)    
 
  1. 그러므로 천국은 그 종들과 결산하려 하던 어떤 임금과 같으니
  2. 결산할 때에 만 달란트 빚진 자 하나를 데려오매
  3. 갚을 것이 없는지라 주인이 명하여 그 몸과 아내와 자식들과 모든 소유를 다 팔아 갚게 하라 하니
  4. 그 종이 엎드려 절하며 이르되 내게 참으소서 다 갚으리이다 하거늘
  5. 그 종의 주인이 불쌍히 여겨 놓아 보내며 그 빚을 탕감하여 주었더니
  1. "For this reason the kingdom of heaven may be compared to a king who wished to settle accounts with his slaves.
  2. "When he had begun to settle them, one who owed him ten thousand talents was brought to him.
  3. "But since he did not have the means to repay, his lord commanded him to be sold, along with his wife and children and all that he had, and repayment to be made.
  4. "So the slave fell to the ground and prostrated himself before him, saying, 'Have patience with me and I will repay you everything.'
  5. "And the lord of that slave felt compassion and released him and forgave him the debt.
  1. 그 종이 나가서 자기에게 백 데나리온 빚진 동료 한 사람을 만나 붙들어 목을 잡고 이르되 빚을 갚으라 하매
  2. 그 동료가 엎드려 간구하여 이르되 나에게 참아 주소서 갚으리이다 하되
  3. 허락하지 아니하고 이에 가서 그가 빚을 갚도록 옥에 가두거늘
  4. 그 동료들이 그것을 보고 몹시 딱하게 여겨 주인에게 가서 그 일을 다 알리니
  5. 이에 주인이 그를 불러다가 말하되 악한 종아 네가 빌기에 내가 네 빚을 전부 탕감하여 주었거늘
  1. "But that slave went out and found one of his fellow slaves who owed him a hundred denarii; and he seized him and began to choke him, saying, 'Pay back what you owe.'
  2. "So his fellow slave fell to the ground and began to plead with him, saying, 'Have patience with me and I will repay you.'
  3. "But he was unwilling and went and threw him in prison until he should pay back what was owed.
  4. "So when his fellow slaves saw what had happened, they were deeply grieved and came and reported to their lord all that had happened.
  5. "Then summoning him, his lord said to him, 'You wicked slave, I forgave you all that debt because you pleaded with me.
  1. 내가 너를 불쌍히 여김과 같이 너도 네 동료를 불쌍히 여김이 마땅하지 아니하냐 하고
  2. 주인이 노하여 그 빚을 다 갚도록 그를 옥졸들에게 넘기니라
  3. 너희가 각각 마음으로부터 형제를 용서하지 아니하면 나의 하늘 아버지께서도 너희에게 이와 같이 하시리라
  1. 'Should you not also have had mercy on your fellow slave, in the same way that I had mercy on you?'
  2. "And his lord, moved with anger, handed him over to the torturers until he should repay all that was owed him.
  3. "My heavenly Father will also do the same to you, if each of you does not forgive his brother from your heart."
 
  증참(證參, 18:16)  어떤 일을 증명하는 데 바탕이 되는 증거  
  탕감(蕩減, 18:32)  빚을 갚아 줌, 죄를 용서해 줌
