	열왕기하 15:1-16:20 남유다는 아사랴와 요담의 선정을 통하여 비교적 안정을 누렸으나, 북이스라엘은 무려 다섯 명의 왕들(스가랴, 살룸, 므나헴, 브가히야, 베가)이 계속 악을 행하여 반역으로 정권을 교체하였고, 결국 하나님의 심판으로 멸망하였다. 또한, 남유다 왕들 중에서 드물게 사악했던 왕 아하스 왕은 우상을 숭배하는 가증한 죄를 범하였으며, 하나님의 징벌로 아람과 북이스라엘의 침공을 당했을 때는 하나님보다 앗수르 왕을 의지하는 죄악을 자행하였다.

	아사랴의 유다 통치(15:1-15:7)

이스라엘 왕 여로보암 제이십칠년에 유다 왕 아마샤의 아들 아사랴가 왕이 되니

그가 왕이 될 때에 나이가 십육 세라 예루살렘에서 오십이 년간 다스리니라 그의 어머니의 이름은 여골리야라 예루살렘 사람이더라

아사랴가 그의 아버지 아마샤의 모든 행위대로 여호와 보시기에 정직히 행하였으나

오직 산당은 제거하지 아니하였으므로 백성이 여전히 그 산당에서 제사를 드리며 분향하였고

여호와께서 왕을 치셨으므로 그가 죽는 날까지 나병환자가 되어 별궁에 거하고 왕자 요담이 왕궁을 다스리며 그 땅의 백성을 치리하였더라

In the twenty-seventh year of Jeroboam king of Israel, Azariah son of Amaziah king of Judah became king.

He was sixteen years old when he became king, and he reigned fifty-two years in Jerusalem; and his mother's name was Jecoliah of Jerusalem.

He did right in the sight of the LORD, according to all that his father Amaziah had done.

Only the high places were not taken away; the people still sacrificed and burned incense on the high places.

The LORD struck the king, so that he was a leper to the day of his death And he lived in a separate house, while Jotham the king's son was over the household, judging the people of the land.

아사랴의 남은 사적과 행한 모든 일은 유다 왕 역대지략에 기록되지 아니하였느냐

아사랴가 그의 조상들과 함께 자매 다윗 성에 그의 조상들과 함께 장사되고 그의 아들 요담이 대신하여 왕이 되니라

Now the rest of the acts of Azariah and all that he did, are they not written in the Book of the Chronicles of the Kings of Judah?

And Azariah slept with his fathers, and they buried him with his fathers in the city of David, and Jotham his son became king in his place.

	북이스라엘 왕들의 악정(15:8-15:31)

유다의 왕 아사랴의 제삼십팔년에 여로보암의 아들 스가랴가 사마리아에서 여섯 달 동안 이스라엘을 다스리며

그의 조상들의 행위대로 여호와 보시기에 악을 행하여 이스라엘로 범죄하게 한 느밧의 아들 여로보암의 죄에서 떠나지 아니한지라

야베스의 아들 살룸이 그를 반역하여 백성 앞에서 쳐죽이고 대신하여 왕이 되니라

스가랴의 남은 사적은 이스라엘 왕 역대지략에 기록되니라

여호와께서 예후에게 말씀하여 이르시기를 네 자손이 사 대 동안 이스라엘 왕위에 있으리라 하신 그 말씀대로 과연 그렇게 되니라

In the thirty-eighth year of Azariah king of Judah, Zechariah the son of Jeroboam became king over Israel in Samaria for six months.

He did evil in the sight of the LORD, as his fathers had done; he did not depart from the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, which he made Israel sin.

Then Shallum the son of Jabesh conspired against him and struck him before the people and killed him, and reigned in his place.

Now the rest of the acts of Zechariah, behold they are written in the Book of the Chronicles of the Kings of Israel.

This is the word of the LORD which He spoke to Jehu, saying, "Your sons to the fourth generation shall sit on the throne of Israel." And so it was.

유다 왕 웃시야 제삼십구년에 야베스의 아들 살룸이 사마리아에서 왕이 되어 한 달 동안 다스리니라

가디의 아들 므나헴이 디르사에서부터 사마리아로 올라가서 야베스의 아들 살룸을 거기에서 쳐죽이고 대신하여 왕이 되니라

살룸의 남은 사적과 그가 반역한 일은 이스라엘 왕 역대지략에 기록되니라

그 때에 므나헴이 디르사에서 와서 딥사와 그 가운데에 있는 모든 사람과 그 사방을 쳤으니 이는 그들이 성문을 열지 아니하였음이라 그러므로 그들이 그 곳을 치고 그 가운데에 아이 밴 부녀를 갈랐더라

유다 왕 아사랴 제삼십구년에 가디의 아들 므나헴이 이스라엘 왕이 되어 사마리아에서 십 년간 다스리며

Shallum son of Jabesh became king in the thirty-ninth year of Uzziah king of Judah, and he reigned one month in Samaria.

Then Menahem son of Gadi went up from Tirzah and came to Samaria, and struck Shallum son of Jabesh in Samaria, and killed him and became king in his place.

Now the rest of the acts of Shallum and his conspiracy which he made, behold they are written in the Book of the Chronicles of the Kings of Israel.

Then Menahem struck Tiphsah and all who were in it and its borders from Tirzah, because they did not open to him; therefore he struck it and ripped up all its women who were with child.

In the thirty-ninth year of Azariah king of Judah, Menahem son of Gadi became king over Israel and reigned ten years in Samaria.

여호와 보시기에 악을 행하여 이스라엘로 범죄하게 한 느밧의 아들 여로보암의 죄에서 평생 떠나지 아니하였더라

앗수르 왕 불이 와서 그 땅을 치려 하매 므나헴이 은 천 달란트를 불에게 주어서 그로 자기를 도와 주게 함으로 나라를 자기 손에 굳게 세우고자 하여

그 은을 이스라엘 모든 큰 부자에게서 강탈하여 각 사람에게 은 오십 세겔씩 내게 하여 앗수르 왕에게 주었더니 이에 앗수르 왕이 되돌아가 그 땅에 머물지 아니하였더라

므나헴의 남은 사적과 그가 행한 모든 일은 이스라엘 왕 역대지략에 기록되지 아니하였느냐

므나헴이 그의 조상들과 함께 자고 그의 아들 브가히야가 대신하여 왕이 되니라

He did evil in the sight of the LORD; he did not depart all his days from the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, which he made Israel sin.

Pul, king of Assyria, came against the land, and Menahem gave Pul a thousand talents of silver so that his hand might be with him to strengthen the kingdom under his rule.

Then Menahem exacted the money from Israel, even from all the mighty men of wealth, from each man fifty shekels of silver to pay the king of Assyria. So the king of Assyria returned and did not remain there in the land.

Now the rest of the acts of Menahem and all that he did, are they not written in the Book of the Chronicles of the Kings of Israel?

And Menahem slept with his fathers, and Pekahiah his son became king in his place.

유다의 왕 아사랴 제오십년에 므나헴의 아들 브가히야가 사마리아에서 이스라엘 왕이 되어 이 년간 다스리며

여호와께서 보시기에 악을 행하여 이스라엘로 범죄하게 한 느밧의 아들 여로보암의 죄에서 떠나지 아니한지라

그 장관 르말랴의 아들 베가가 반역하여 사마리아 왕궁 호위소에서 왕과 아르곱과 아리에를 죽이되 길르앗 사람 오십 명과 더불어 죽이고 대신하여 왕이 되었더라

브가히야의 남은 사적과 그가 행한 모든 일은 이스라엘 왕 역대지략에 기록되니라

유다의 왕 아사랴 제오십이년에 르말랴의 아들 베가가 이스라엘 왕이 되어 사마리아에서 이십 년간 다스리며

In the fiftieth year of Azariah king of Judah, Pekahiah son of Menahem became king over Israel in Samaria, and reigned two years.

He did evil in the sight of the LORD; he did not depart from the sins of Jeroboam son of Nebat, which he made Israel sin.

Then Pekah son of Remaliah, his officer, conspired against him and struck him in Samaria, in the castle of the king's house with Argob and Arieh; and with him were fifty men of the Gileadites, and he killed him and became king in his place.

Now the rest of the acts of Pekahiah and all that he did, behold they are written in the Book of the Chronicles of the Kings of Israel.

In the fifty-second year of Azariah king of Judah, Pekah son of Remaliah became king over Israel in Samaria, and reigned twenty years.

여호와께서 보시기에 악을 행하여 이스라엘로 범죄하게 한 느밧의 아들 여로보암의 죄에서 떠나지 아니하였더라

이스라엘 왕 베가 때에 앗수르 왕 디글랏 빌레셀이 와서 이욘과 아벨벳 마아가와 야노아와 게데스와 하솔과 길르앗과 갈릴리와 납달리 온 땅을 점령하고 그 백성을 사로잡아 앗수르로 옮겼더라

웃시야의 아들 요담 제이십년에 엘라의 아들 호세아가 반역하여 르말랴의 아들 베가를 쳐서 죽이고 대신하여 왕이 되니라

베가의 남은 사적과 그가 행한 모든 일은 이스라엘 왕 역대지략에 기록되니라

He did evil in the sight of the LORD; he did not depart from the sins of Jeroboam son of Nebat, which he made Israel sin.

In the days of Pekah king of Israel, Tiglath-pileser king of Assyria came and captured Ijon and Abel-beth-maacah and Janoah and Kedesh and Hazor and Gilead and Galilee, all the land of Naphtali; and he carried them captive to Assyria.

And Hoshea the son of Elah made a conspiracy against Pekah the son of Remaliah, and struck him and put him to death and became king in his place, in the twentieth year of Jotham the son of Uzziah.

Now the rest of the acts of Pekah and all that he did, behold, they are written in the Book of the Chronicles of the Kings of Israel.

	요담, 아하스의 유다 통치(15:32-16:20)

이스라엘의 왕 르말랴의 아들 베가 제이년에 유다 왕 웃시야의 아들 요담이 왕이 되니

나이가 이십오 세라 예루살렘에서 십육 년간 다스리니라 그의 어머니의 이름은 여루사라 사독의 딸이더라

요담이 그의 아버지 웃시야의 모든 행위대로 여호와께서 보시기에 정직히 행하였으나

오직 산당을 제거하지 아니하였으므로 백성이 여전히 그 산당에서 제사를 드리며 분향하였더라 요담이 여호와의 성전의 윗문을 건축하니라

요담의 남은 사적과 그가 행한 모든 일은 유다 왕 역대지략에 기록되지 아니하였느냐

In the second year of Pekah the son of Remaliah king of Israel, Jotham the son of Uzziah king of Judah became king.

He was twenty-five years old when he became king, and he reigned sixteen years in Jerusalem; and his mother's name was Jerusha the daughter of Zadok.

He did what was right in the sight of the LORD; he did according to all that his father Uzziah had done.

Only the high places were not taken away; the people still sacrificed and burned incense on the high places He built the upper gate of the house of the LORD.

Now the rest of the acts of Jotham and all that he did, are they not written in the Book of the Chronicles of the Kings of Judah?

그 때에 여호와께서 비로소 아람 왕 르신과 르말랴의 아들 베가를 보내어 유다를 치게 하셨더라

요담이 그의 조상들과 함께 자매 그의 조상 다윗 성에 조상들과 함께 장사되고 그 아들 아하스가 대신하여 왕이 되니라

In those days the LORD began to send Rezin king of Aram and Pekah the son of Remaliah against Judah.

And Jotham slept with his fathers, and he was buried with his fathers in the city of David his father; and Ahaz his son became king in his place.

르말랴의 아들 베가 제십칠년에 유다의 왕 요담의 아들 아하스가 왕이 되니

아하스가 왕이 될 때에 나이가 이십 세라 예루살렘에서 십육 년간 다스렸으나 그의 조상 다윗과 같지 아니하여 그의 하나님 여호와께서 보시기에 정직히 행하지 아니하고

이스라엘의 여러 왕의 길로 행하며 또 여호와께서 이스라엘 자손 앞에서 쫓아내신 이방 사람의 가증한 일을 따라 자기 아들을 불 가운데로 지나가게 하며

또 산당들과 작은 산 위와 모든 푸른 나무 아래에서 제사를 드리며 분향하였더라

이 때에 아람의 왕 르신과 이스라엘의 왕 르말랴의 아들 베가가 예루살렘에 올라와서 싸우려 하여 아하스를 에워쌌으나 능히 이기지 못하니라

In the seventeenth year of Pekah the son of Remaliah, Ahaz the son of Jotham, king of Judah, became king.

Ahaz was twenty years old when he became king, and he reigned sixteen years in Jerusalem; and he did not do what was right in the sight of the LORD his God, as his father David had done.

But he walked in the way of the kings of Israel, and even made his son pass through the fire, according to the abominations of the nations whom the LORD had driven out from before the sons of Israel.

He sacrificed and burned incense on the high places and on the hills and under every green tree.

Then Rezin king of Aram and Pekah son of Remaliah, king of Israel, came up to Jerusalem to wage war; and they besieged Ahaz, but could not overcome him.

당시에 아람의 왕 르신이 엘랏을 회복하여 아람에 돌리고 유다 사람을 엘랏에서 쫓아내었고 아람 사람이 엘랏에 이르러 거기에 거주하여 오늘까지 이르렀더라

아하스가 앗수르 왕 디글랏 빌레셀에게 사자를 보내 이르되 나는 왕의 신복이요 왕의 아들이라 이제 아람 왕과 이스라엘 왕이 나를 치니 청하건대 올라와 그 손에서 나를 구원하소서 하고

아하스가 여호와의 성전과 왕궁 곳간에 있는 은금을 내어다가 앗수르 왕에게 예물로 보냈더니

앗수르 왕이 그 청을 듣고 곧 올라와서 다메섹을 쳐서 점령하여 그 백성을 사로잡아 기르로 옮기고 또 르신을 죽였더라

아하스 왕이 앗수르의 왕 디글랏 빌레셀을 만나러 다메섹에 갔다가 거기 있는 제단을 보고 아하스 왕이 그 제단의 모든 구조와 제도의 양식을 그려 제사장 우리야에게 보냈더니

At that time Rezin king of Aram recovered Elath for Aram, and cleared the Judeans out of Elath entirely; and the Arameans came to Elath and have lived there to this day.

So Ahaz sent messengers to Tiglath-pileser king of Assyria, saying, "I am your servant and your son; come up and deliver me from the hand of the king of Aram and from the hand of the king of Israel, who are rising up against me."

Ahaz took the silver and gold that was found in the house of the LORD and in the treasuries of the king's house, and sent a present to the king of Assyria.

So the king of Assyria listened to him; and the king of Assyria went up against Damascus and captured it, and carried the people of it away into exile to Kir, and put Rezin to death.

Now King Ahaz went to Damascus to meet Tiglath-pileser king of Assyria, and saw the altar which was at Damascus; and King Ahaz sent to Urijah the priest the pattern of the altar and its model, according to all its workmanship.

아하스 왕이 다메섹에서 돌아오기 전에 제사장 우리야가 아하스 왕이 다메섹에서 보낸 대로 모두 행하여 제사장 우리야가 제단을 만든지라

왕이 다메섹에서 돌아와 제단을 보고 제단 앞에 나아가 그 위에 제사를 드리되

자기의 번제물과 소제물을 불사르고 또 전제물을 붓고 수은제 짐승의 피를 제단에 뿌리고

또 여호와의 앞 곧 성전 앞에 있던 놋제단을 새 제단과 여호와의 성전 사이에서 옮겨다가 그 제단 북쪽에 그것을 두니라

아하스 왕이 제사장 우리야에게 명령하여 이르되 아침 번제물과 저녁 소제물과 왕의 번제물과 그 소제물과 모든 국민의 번제물과 그 소제물과 전제물을 다 이 큰 제단 위에 불사르고 또 번제물의 피와 다른 제물의 피를 다 그 위에 뿌리라 오직 놋제단은 내가 주께 여쭐 일에만 쓰게 하라 하매

So Urijah the priest built an altar; according to all that King Ahaz had sent from Damascus, thus Urijah the priest made it, before the coming of King Ahaz from Damascus.

When the king came from Damascus, the king saw the altar; then the king approached the altar and went up to it,

and burned his burnt offering and his meal offering, and poured his drink offering and sprinkled the blood of his peace offerings on the altar.

The bronze altar, which was before the LORD, he brought from the front of the house, from between his altar and the house of the LORD, and he put it on the north side of his altar.

Then King Ahaz commanded Urijah the priest, saying, "Upon the great altar burn the morning burnt offering and the evening meal offering and the king's burnt offering and his meal offering, with the burnt offering of all the people of the land and their meal offering and their drink offerings; and sprinkle on it all the blood of the burnt offering and all the blood of the sacrifice But the bronze altar shall be for me to inquire by."

제사장 우리야가 아하스 왕의 모든 명령대로 행하였더라

아하스 왕이 물두멍 받침의 옆판을 떼내고 물두멍을 그 자리에서 옮기고 또 놋바다를 놋소 위에서 내려다가 돌판 위에 그것을 두며

또 안식일에 쓰기 위하여 성전에 건축한 낭실과 왕이 밖에서 들어가는 낭실을 앗수르 왕을 두려워하여 여호와의 성전에 옮겨 세웠더라

아하스가 행한 그 남은 사적은 유다 왕 역대지략에 기록되지 아니하였느냐

아하스가 그의 조상들과 함께 자매 다윗 성에 그 열조와 함께 장사되고 그의 아들 히스기야가 대신하여 왕이 되니라

So Urijah the priest did according to all that King Ahaz commanded.

Then King Ahaz cut off the borders of the stands, and removed the laver from them; he also took down the sea from the bronze oxen which were under it and put it on a pavement of stone.

The covered way for the sabbath which they had built in the house, and the outer entry of the king, he removed from the house of the LORD because of the king of Assyria.

Now the rest of the acts of Ahaz which he did, are they not written in the Book of the Chronicles of the Kings of Judah?

So Ahaz slept with his fathers, and was buried with his fathers in the city of David; and his son Hezekiah reigned in his place.
