역대하 31:1-32:33

 히스기야는 전국에 있는 우상을 없애고, 성전 일을 맡은 제사장과 레위인의 직책을 회복시킨 후 보수 규정을 마련하여 그 직책을 안정시켰다. 그리고 십일조와 예물의 효과적 관리 분배로 불필요한 낭비를 방지하였다. 또한 히스기야는 앗수르 왕 산헤립이 유다를 침략했지만 하나님의 도우심으로 그들을 물리쳤다.
  
  히스기야의 종교 개혁(31:1-31:21)    
 
  1. 이 모든 일이 끝나매 거기에 있는 이스라엘 무리가 나가서 유다 여러 성읍에 이르러 주상들을 깨뜨리며 아세라 목상들을 찍으며 유다와 베냐민과 에브라임과 므낫세 온 땅에서 산당들과 제단들을 제거하여 없애고 이스라엘 모든 자손이 각각 자기들의 본성 기업으로 돌아갔더라
  2. 히스기야가 제사장들과 레위 사람들의 반열을 정하고 그들의 반열에 따라 각각 그들의 직임을 행하게 하되 곧 제사장들과 레위 사람들에게 번제와 화목제를 드리며 여호와의 휘장 문에서 섬기며 감사하며 찬송하게 하고
  3. 또 왕의 재산 중에서 얼마를 정하여 여호와의 율법에 기록된 대로 번제 곧 아침과 저녁의 번제와 안식일과 초하루와 절기의 번제에 쓰게 하고
  4. 또 예루살렘에 사는 백성을 명령하여 제사장들과 레위 사람들 몫의 음식을 주어 그들에게 여호와의 율법을 힘쓰게 하라 하니라
  5. 왕의 명령이 내리자 곧 이스라엘 자손이 곡식과 포도주와 기름과 꿀과 밭의 모든 소산의 첫 열매들을 풍성히 드렸고 또 모든 것의 십일조를 많이 가져왔으며
  1. Now when all this was finished, all Israel who were present went out to the cities of Judah, broke the pillars in pieces, cut down the Asherim and pulled down the high places and the altars throughout all Judah and Benjamin, as well as in Ephraim and Manasseh, until they had destroyed them all. Then all the sons of Israel returned to their cities, each to his possession.
  2. And Hezekiah appointed the divisions of the priests and the Levites by their divisions, each according to his service, both the priests and the Levites, for burnt offerings and for peace offerings, to minister and to give thanks and to praise in the gates of the camp of the LORD.
  3. He also appointed the king's portion of his goods for the burnt offerings, namely, for the morning and evening burnt offerings, and the burnt offerings for the sabbaths and for the new moons and for the fixed festivals, as it is written in the law of the LORD.
  4. Also he commanded the people who lived in Jerusalem to give the portion due to the priests and the Levites, that they might devote themselves to the law of the LORD.
  5. As soon as the order spread, the sons of Israel provided in abundance the first fruits of grain, new wine, oil, honey and of all the produce of the field; and they brought in abundantly the tithe of all.
  1. 유다 여러 성읍에 사는 이스라엘과 유다 자손들도 소와 양의 십일조를 가져왔고 또 그들의 하나님 여호와께 구별하여 드릴 성물의 십일조를 가져왔으며 그것을 쌓아 여러 더미를 이루었는데
  2. 셋째 달에 그 더미들을 쌓기 시작하여 일곱째 달에 마친지라
  3. 히스기야와 방백들이 와서 쌓인 더미들을 보고 여호와를 송축하고 그의 백성 이스라엘을 위하여 축복하니라
  4. 히스기야가 그 더미들에 대하여 제사장들과 레위 사람들에게 물으니
  5. 사독의 족속 대제사장 아사랴가 그에게 대답하여 이르되 백성이 예물을 여호와의 전에 드리기 시작함으로부터 우리가 만족하게 먹었으나 남은 것이 많으니 이는 여호와께서 그의 백성에게 복을 주셨음이라 그 남은 것이 이렇게 많이 쌓였나이다
  1. The sons of Israel and Judah who lived in the cities of Judah also brought in the tithe of oxen and sheep, and the tithe of sacred gifts which were consecrated to the LORD their God, and placed them in heaps.
  2. In the third month they began to make the heaps, and finished them by the seventh month.
  3. When Hezekiah and the rulers came and saw the heaps, they blessed the LORD and His people Israel.
  4. Then Hezekiah questioned the priests and the Levites concerning the heaps.
  5. Azariah the chief priest of the house of Zadok said to him, "Since the contributions began to be brought into the house of the LORD, we have had enough to eat with plenty left over, for the LORD has blessed His people, and this great quantity is left over."
  1. 그 때에 히스기야가 명령하여 여호와의 전 안에 방들을 준비하라 하므로 그렇게 준비하고
  2. 성심으로 그 예물과 십일조와 구별한 물건들을 갖다 두고 레위 사람 고나냐가 그 일의 책임자가 되고 그의 아우 시므이는 부책임자가 되며
  3. 여히엘과 아사시야와 나핫과 아사헬과 여리못과 요사밧과 엘리엘과 이스마갸와 마핫과 브나야는 고나냐와 그의 아우 시므이의 수하에서 보살피는 자가 되니 이는 히스기야 왕과 하나님의 전을 관리하는 아사랴가 명령한 바이며
  4. 동문지기 레위 사람 임나의 아들 고레는 즐거이 하나님께 드리는 예물을 맡아 여호와께 드리는 것과 모든 지성물을 나눠 주며
  5. 그의 수하의 에덴과 미냐민과 예수아와 스마야와 아마랴와 스가냐는 제사장들의 성읍들에 있어서 직임을 맡아 그의 형제들에게 반열대로 대소를 막론하고 나눠 주되
  1. Then Hezekiah commanded them to prepare rooms in the house of the LORD, and they prepared them.
  2. They faithfully brought in the contributions and the tithes and the consecrated things; and Conaniah the Levite was the officer in charge of them and his brother Shimei was second.
  3. Jehiel, Azaziah, Nahath, Asahel, Jerimoth, Jozabad, Eliel, Ismachiah, Mahath and Benaiah were overseers under the authority of Conaniah and Shimei his brother by the appointment of King Hezekiah, and Azariah was the chief officer of the house of God.
  4. Kore the son of Imnah the Levite, the keeper of the eastern gate, was over the freewill offerings of God, to apportion the contributions for the LORD and the most holy things.
  5. Under his authority were Eden, Miniamin, Jeshua, Shemaiah, Amariah and Shecaniah in the cities of the priests, to distribute faithfully their portions to their brothers by divisions, whether great or small,
  1. 삼 세 이상으로 족보에 기록된 남자 외에 날마다 여호와의 전에 들어가서 그 반열대로 직무에 수종드는 자들에게 다 나눠 주며
  2. 또 그들의 족속대로 족보에 기록된 제사장들에게 나눠 주며 이십세 이상에서 그 반열대로 직무를 맡은 레위 사람들에게 나눠 주며
  3. 또 그 족보에 기록된 온 회중의 어린 아이들 아내들 자녀들에게 나눠 주었으니 이 회중은 성결하고 충실히 그 직분을 다하는 자며
  4. 각 성읍에서 등록된 사람이 있어 성읍 가까운 들에 사는 아론 자손 제사장들에게도 나눠 주되 제사장들의 모든 남자와 족보에 기록된 레위 사람들에게 나눠 주었더라
  5. 히스기야가 온 유다에 이같이 행하되 그의 하나님 여호와 보시기에 선과 정의와 진실함으로 행하였으니
  1. without regard to their genealogical enrollment, to the males from thirty years old and upward--everyone who entered the house of the LORD for his daily obligations--for their work in their duties according to their divisions;
  2. as well as the priests who were enrolled genealogically according to their fathers' households, and the Levites from twenty years old and upwards, by their duties and their divisions.
  3. The genealogical enrollment included all their little children, their wives, their sons and their daughters, for the whole assembly, for they consecrated themselves faithfully in holiness.
  4. Also for the sons of Aaron the priests who were in the pasture lands of their cities, or in each and every city, there were men who were designated by name to distribute portions to every male among the priests and to everyone genealogically enrolled among the Levites.
  5. Thus Hezekiah did throughout all Judah; and he did what was good, right and true before the LORD his God.
  1. 그가 행하는 모든 일 곧 하나님의 전에 수종드는 일에나 율법에나 계명에나 그의 하나님을 찾고 한 마음으로 행하여 형통하였더라
  1. Every work which he began in the service of the house of God in law and in commandment, seeking his God, he did with all his heart and prospered.
 
  산헤립의 침략(32:1-32:33)    
 
  1. 이 모든 충성된 일을 한 후에 앗수르 왕 산헤립이 유다에 들어와서 견고한 성읍들을 향하여 진을 치고 쳐서 점령하고자 한지라
  2. 히스기야가 산헤립이 예루살렘을 치러 온 것을 보고
  3. 그의 방백들과 용사들과 더불어 의논하고 성 밖의 모든 물 근원을 막고자 하매 그들이 돕더라
  4. 이에 백성이 많이 모여 모든 물 근원과 땅으로 흘러가는 시내를 막고 이르되 어찌 앗수르 왕들이 와서 많은 물을 얻게 하리요 하고
  5. 히스기야가 힘을 내어 무너진 모든 성벽을 보수하되 망대까지 높이 쌓고 또 외성을 쌓고 다윗 성의 밀로를 견고하게 하고 무기와 방패를 많이 만들고
  1. After these acts of faithfulness Sennacherib king of Assyria came and invaded Judah and besieged the fortified cities, and thought to break into them for himself.
  2. Now when Hezekiah saw that Sennacherib had come and that he intended to make war on Jerusalem,
  3. he decided with his officers and his warriors to cut off the supply of water from the springs which were outside the city, and they helped him.
  4. So many people assembled and stopped up all the springs and the stream which flowed through the region, saying, "Why should the kings of Assyria come and find abundant water?"
  5. And he took courage and rebuilt all the wall that had been broken down and erected towers on it, and built another outside wall and strengthened the Millo in the city of David, and made weapons and shields in great number.
  1. 군대 지휘관들을 세워 백성을 거느리게 하고 성문 광장에서 자기 앞에 무리를 모으고 말로 위로하여 이르되
  2. 너희는 마음을 강하게 하며 담대히 하고 앗수르 왕과 그를 따르는 온 무리로 말미암아 두려워하지 말며 놀라지 말라 우리와 함께 하시는 이가 그와 함께 하는 자보다 크니
  3. 그와 함께 하는 자는 육신의 팔이요 우리와 함께 하시는 이는 우리의 하나님 여호와시라 반드시 우리를 도우시고 우리를 대신하여 싸우시리라 하매 백성이 유다 왕 히스기야의 말로 말미암아 안심하니라
  4. 그 후에 앗수르 왕 산헤립이 그의 온 군대를 거느리고 라기스를 치며 그의 신하들을 예루살렘에 보내어 유다 왕 히스기야와 예루살렘에 있는 유다 무리에게 말하여 이르기를
  5. 앗수르 왕 산헤립은 이같이 말하노라 너희가 예루살렘에 에워싸여 있으면서 무엇을 의뢰하느냐
  1. He appointed military officers over the people and gathered them to him in the square at the city gate, and spoke encouragingly to them, saying,
  2. "Be strong and courageous, do not fear or be dismayed because of the king of Assyria nor because of all the horde that is with him; for the one with us is greater than the one with him.
  3. "With him is only an arm of flesh, but with us is the LORD our God to help us and to fight our battles." And the people relied on the words of Hezekiah king of Judah.
  4. After this Sennacherib king of Assyria sent his servants to Jerusalem while he was besieging Lachish with all his forces with him, against Hezekiah king of Judah and against all Judah who were at Jerusalem, saying,
  5. "Thus says Sennacherib king of Assyria, 'On what are you trusting that you are remaining in Jerusalem under siege?
  1. 히스기야가 너희를 꾀어 이르기를 우리 하나님 여호와께서 우리를 앗수르 왕의 손에서 건져내시리라 하거니와 이 어찌 너희를 주림과 목마름으로 죽게 함이 아니냐
  2. 이 히스기야가 여호와의 산당들과 제단들을 제거하여 버리고 유다와 예루살렘에 명령하여 이르기를 너희는 다만 한 제단 앞에서 예배하고 그 위에 분향하라 하지 아니하였느냐
  3. 나와 내 조상들이 이방 모든 백성들에게 행한 것을 너희가 알지 못하느냐 모든 나라의 신들이 능히 그들의 땅을 내 손에서 건져낼 수 있었느냐
  4. 내 조상들이 진멸한 모든 나라의 그 모든 신들 중에 누가 능히 그의 백성을 내 손에서 건져내었기에 너희 하나님이 능히 너희를 내 손에서 건지겠느냐
  5. 그런즉 이와 같이 너희는 히스기야에게 속지 말라 꾀임을 받지 말라 그를 믿지도 말라 어떤 백성이나 어떤 나라의 신도 능히 자기의 백성을 나의 손과 나의 조상들의 손에서 건져내지 못하였나니 하물며 너희 하나님이 너희를 내 손에서 건져내겠느냐 하였더라
  1. 'Is not Hezekiah misleading you to give yourselves over to die by hunger and by thirst, saying, "The LORD our God will deliver us from the hand of the king of Assyria"?
  2. 'Has not the same Hezekiah taken away His high places and His altars, and said to Judah and Jerusalem, "You shall worship before one altar, and on it you shall burn incense"?
  3. 'Do you not know what I and my fathers have done to all the peoples of the lands? Were the gods of the nations of the lands able at all to deliver their land from my hand?
  4. 'Who was there among all the gods of those nations which my fathers utterly destroyed who could deliver his people out of my hand, that your God should be able to deliver you from my hand?
  5. 'Now therefore, do not let Hezekiah deceive you or mislead you like this, and do not believe him, for no god of any nation or kingdom was able to deliver his people from my hand or from the hand of my fathers. How much less will your God deliver you from my hand?'"
  1. 산헤립의 신하들도 더욱 여호와 하나님과 그의 종 히스기야를 비방하였으며
  2. 산헤립이 또 편지를 써 보내어 이스라엘 하나님 여호와를 욕하고 비방하여 이르기를 모든 나라의 신들이 그들의 백성을 내 손에서 구원하여 내지 못한 것 같이 히스기야의 신들도 그의 백성을 내 손에서 구원하여 내지 못하리라 하고
  3. 산헤립의 신하가 유다 방언으로 크게 소리 질러 예루살렘 성 위에 있는 백성을 놀라게 하고 괴롭게 하여 그 성을 점령하려 하였는데
  4. 그들이 예루살렘의 하나님을 비방하기를 사람의 손으로 지은 세상 사람의 신들을 비방하듯 하였더라
  5. 이러므로 히스기야 왕이 아모스의 아들 선지자 이사야와 더불어 하늘을 향하여 부르짖어 기도하였더니
  1. His servants spoke further against the LORD God and against His servant Hezekiah.
  2. He also wrote letters to insult the LORD God of Israel, and to speak against Him, saying, "As the gods of the nations of the lands have not delivered their people from my hand, so the God of Hezekiah will not deliver His people from my hand."
  3. They called this out with a loud voice in the language of Judah to the people of Jerusalem who were on the wall, to frighten and terrify them, so that they might take the city.
  4. They spoke of the God of Jerusalem as of the gods of the peoples of the earth, the work of men's hands.
  5. But King Hezekiah and Isaiah the prophet, the son of Amoz, prayed about this and cried out to heaven.
  1. 여호와께서 한 천사를 보내어 앗수르 왕의 진영에서 모든 큰 용사와 대장과 지휘관들을 멸하신지라 앗수르 왕이 낯이 뜨거워 그의 고국으로 돌아갔더니 그의 신의 전에 들어갔을 때에 그의 몸에서 난 자들이 거기서 칼로 죽였더라
  2. 이와 같이 여호와께서 히스기야와 예루살렘 주민을 앗수르 왕 산헤립의 손과 모든 적국의 손에서 구원하여 내사 사면으로 보호하시매
  3. 여러 사람이 예물을 가지고 예루살렘에 와서 여호와께 드리고 또 보물을 유다 왕 히스기야에게 드린지라 이 후부터 히스기야가 모든 나라의 눈에 존귀하게 되었더라
  4. 그 때에 히스기야가 병들어 죽게 되었으므로 여호와께 기도하매 여호와께서 그에게 대답하시고 또 이적을 보이셨으나
  5. 히스기야가 마음이 교만하여 그 받은 은혜를 보답하지 아니하므로 진노가 그와 유다와 예루살렘에 내리게 되었더니
  1. And the LORD sent an angel who destroyed every mighty warrior, commander and officer in the camp of the king of Assyria. So he returned in shame to his own land. And when he had entered the temple of his god, some of his own children killed him there with the sword.
  2. So the LORD saved Hezekiah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem from the hand of Sennacherib the king of Assyria and from the hand of all others, and guided them on every side.
  3. And many were bringing gifts to the LORD at Jerusalem and choice presents to Hezekiah king of Judah, so that he was exalted in the sight of all nations thereafter.
  4. In those days Hezekiah became mortally ill; and he prayed to the LORD, and the LORD spoke to him and gave him a sign.
  5. But Hezekiah gave no return for the benefit he received, because his heart was proud; therefore wrath came on him and on Judah and Jerusalem.
  1. 히스기야가 마음의 교만함을 뉘우치고 예루살렘 주민들도 그와 같이 하였으므로 여호와의 진노가 히스기야의 생전에는 그들에게 내리지 아니하니라
  2. 히스기야가 부와 영광이 지극한지라 이에 은금과 보석과 향품과 방패와 온갖 보배로운 그릇들을 위하여 창고를 세우며
  3. 곡식과 새 포도주와 기름의 산물을 위하여 창고를 세우며 온갖 짐승의 외양간을 세우며 양 떼의 우리를 갖추며
  4. 양 떼와 많은 소 떼를 위하여 성읍들을 세웠으니 이는 하나님이 그에게 재산을 심히 많이 주셨음이며
  5. 이 히스기야가 또 기혼의 윗샘물을 막아 그 아래로부터 다윗 성 서쪽으로 곧게 끌어들였으니 히스기야가 그의 모든 일에 형통하였더라
  1. However, Hezekiah humbled the pride of his heart, both he and the inhabitants of Jerusalem, so that the wrath of the LORD did not come on them in the days of Hezekiah.
  2. Now Hezekiah had immense riches and honor; and he made for himself treasuries for silver, gold, precious stones, spices, shields and all kinds of valuable articles,
  3. storehouses also for the produce of grain, wine and oil, pens for all kinds of cattle and sheepfolds for the flocks.
  4. He made cities for himself and acquired flocks and herds in abundance, for God had given him very great wealth.
  5. It was Hezekiah who stopped the upper outlet of the waters of Gihon and directed them to the west side of the city of David. And Hezekiah prospered in all that he did.
  1. 그러나 바벨론 방백들이 히스기야에게 사신을 보내어 그 땅에서 나타난 이적을 물을 때에 하나님이 히스기야를 떠나시고 그의 심중에 있는 것을 다 알고자 하사 시험하셨더라
  2. 히스기야의 남은 행적과 그의 모든 선한 일은 아모스의 아들 선지자 이사야의 묵시 책과 유다와 이스라엘 열왕기에 기록되니라
  3. 히스기야가 그의 조상들과 함께 누우매 온 유다와 예루살렘 주민이 그를 다윗 자손의 묘실 중 높은 곳에 장사하여 그의 죽음에 그에게 경의를 표하였더라 그의 아들 므낫세가 대신하여 왕이 되니라
  1. Even in the matter of the envoys of the rulers of Babylon, who sent to him to inquire of the wonder that had happened in the land, God left him alone only to test him, that He might know all that was in his heart.
  2. Now the rest of the acts of Hezekiah and his deeds of devotion, behold, they are written in the vision of Isaiah the prophet, the son of Amoz, in the Book of the Kings of Judah and Israel.
  3. So Hezekiah slept with his fathers, and they buried him in the upper section of the tombs of the sons of David; and all Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem honored him at his death. And his son Manasseh became king in his place.
