- 예수님이 성전에서 나가실 때 한 제자가 '선생님, 이것 좀 보십시오. 굉장한 돌이지요! 얼마나 훌륭한 건물입니까!' 하였다.
- 그래서 예수님은 그에게 '네가 이 건물을 보고 웅장하다고 하느냐? 그러나 돌 하나도 제대로 얹혀 있지 않고 다 무너져 내릴 것이다.' 하고 말씀하셨다.
- 예수님이 감람산에서 성전을 마주 보고 앉아 계실 때 베드로와 야고보와 요한과 안드레가 조용히 와서 물었다.
- '선생님, 언제 이런 일이 일어나겠습니까? 또 이 모든 일이 이루어지려고 할 때의 징조는 무엇입니까?'
- 그래서 예수님은 그들에게 이렇게 말씀하셨다. '아무에게도 속지 않도록 주의하라.

- As he was leaving the temple, one of his disciples said to him, "Look, Teacher! What massive stones! What magnificent buildings!"
- "Do you see all these great buildings?" replied Jesus. "Not one stone here will be left on another; every one will be thrown down."
- As Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives opposite the temple, Peter, James, John and Andrew asked him privately,
- "Tell us, when will these things happen? And what will be the sign that they are all about to be fulfilled?"
- Jesus said to them: "Watch out that no one deceives you.

- 많은 사람들이 내 이름으로 와서 '내가 그리스도이다.' 하고 말하며 많은 사람을 속일 것이다.
- 또 난리와 전쟁 소문을 들어도 두려워하지 말아라. 그런 일이 반드시 일어나야 하지만 끝은 아직 아니다.
- 민족과 민족이, 나라와 나라가 서로 맞서 싸울 것이며 곳곳에 지진과 기근이 있을 것이다. 그러나 이 모든 것은 고통의 시작에 지나지 않는다.
- 주의하여라. 너희는 법정에 넘겨지고 회당에서 매맞을 것이다. 그리고 나 때문에 너희가 총독들과 왕들 앞에 끌려갈 것이나 오히려 이것이 그들에게 나를 증거하는 기회가 될 것이다.
- 먼저 기쁜 소식이 모든 민족에게 전파되어야 한다.

- Many will come in my name, claiming, 'I am he,' and will deceive many.
- When you hear of wars and rumors of wars, do not be alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come.
- Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be earthquakes in various places, and famines. These are the beginning of birth pains.
- "You must be on your guard. You will be handed over to the local councils and flogged in the synagogues. On account of me you will stand before governors and kings as witnesses to them.
- And the gospel must first be preached to all nations.

- 너희는 끌려가 조사를 받을 때 무슨 말을 할까 걱정하지 말고 성령님이 일러 주시는 대로 말하여라. 말하는 분은 너희가 아니라 성령님이시다.
- 형제가 형제를, 아버지가 자식을 고발하여 죽게 할 것이며 자식들이 부모를 대적하여 죽게 할 것이다.
- 그리고 너희가 나 때문에 모든 사람에게 미움을 받을 것이나 끝까지 견디는 사람은 구원을 받을 것이다.

- Whenever you are arrested and brought to trial, do not worry beforehand about what to say. Just say whatever is given you at the time, for it is not you speaking, but the Holy Spirit.
- "Brother will betray brother to death, and a father his child. Children will rebel against their parents and have them put to death.
- All men will hate you because of me, but he who stands firm to the end will be saved.
