열왕기상 14:1-15:34

 하나님의 경고에도 불구하고 우상 숭배의 죄악에서 떠나지 않는 여로보암에게 선지자 아히야는 왕과 그의 후손들이 하나님의 심판으로 비참하게 멸절될 것을 예언하였고, 그 예언대로 여로보암의 아들은 죽고 말았다. 한편 유다 왕 르호보암도 우상 숭배와 도덕적 타락에 빠짐으로써 애굽의 침략을 당하였고, 이후로 남북 왕조는 수많은 전쟁으로 국력이 피폐해 갔다.
  
  아히야의 예언(14:1-14:20)    
 
  1. 그때 여로보암의 아들 아비야가 병이 들었다.
  2. 그러자 여로보암이 자기 아내에게 말하였다. '당신은 왕의 아내라는 것을 아무도 눈치채지 못하게 변장하고 실로에 가서 예언자 아히야를 만나시오. 그는 내가 이스라엘의 왕이 될 것이라고 말해 준 사람이오.
  3. 당신은 갈 때 빵 10개와 약간의 과자와 꿀 한 병을 가지고 가서 우리 아들이 어떻게 될 것인지 물어 보시오. 그러면 그가 대답해 줄 것이오.'
  4. 그래서 여로보암의 아내는 실로에 있는 아히야의 집으로 갔는데 그는 나이가 많은 탓으로 눈이 어두워 제대로 보지 못하였다.
  5. 그러나 여호와께서는 여로보암의 아내가 병든 자기 아들의 일로 변장을 하고 그에게 오고 있다는 것과 또 그녀에게 대답할 말도 일러 주셨다.
  1. At that time Abijah son of Jeroboam became ill,
  2. and Jeroboam said to his wife, "Go, disguise yourself, so you won't be recognized as the wife of Jeroboam. Then go to Shiloh. Ahijah the prophet is there--the one who told me I would be king over this people.
  3. Take ten loaves of bread with you, some cakes and a jar of honey, and go to him. He will tell you what will happen to the boy."
  4. So Jeroboam's wife did what he said and went to Ahijah's house in Shiloh. Now Ahijah could not see; his sight was gone because of his age.
  5. But the LORD had told Ahijah, "Jeroboam's wife is coming to ask you about her son, for he is ill, and you are to give her such and such an answer. When she arrives, she will pretend to be someone else."
  1. 그래서 아히야는 그녀가 문으로 들어오는 발자국 소리를 듣고 말하였다. '여로보암왕의 부인, 들어오시오. 어째서 당신은 다른 사람인 체하시오? 당신에게 일러 줄 좋지 않은 말이 있소.

  5. 그러므로 내가 네 집안에 재앙을 내려 종이든 자유인이든 남자는 모조리 죽일 것이며 네 가족을 거름더미처럼 쓸어 버릴 것이다.
  1. So when Ahijah heard the sound of her footsteps at the door, he said, "Come in, wife of Jeroboam. Why this pretense? I have been sent to you with bad news.
  2. Go, tell Jeroboam that this is what the LORD, the God of Israel, says: 'I raised you up from among the people and made you a leader over my people Israel.
  3. I tore the kingdom away from the house of David and gave it to you, but you have not been like my servant David, who kept my commands and followed me with all his heart, doing only what was right in my eyes.
  4. You have done more evil than all who lived before you. You have made for yourself other gods, idols made of metal; you have provoked me to anger and thrust me behind your back.
  5. " 'Because of this, I am going to bring disaster on the house of Jeroboam. I will cut off from Jeroboam every last male in Israel--slave or free. I will burn up the house of Jeroboam as one burns dung, until it is all gone.
  1. 성에서 죽은 네 가족의 시체는 개가 먹을 것이며 들에서 죽은 네 가족의 시체는 공중의 새가 먹을 것이다. 이것은 나 여호와의 말이다.'
  2. 그리고서 아히야는 여로보암의 아내에게 다시 말하였다. '이제 당신은 집으로 돌아가시오. 당신이 성 안에 들어서는 즉시 당신의 아들은 죽을 것이며

  5. 또 여호와께서는 이스라엘을 쳐서 물에 흔들리는 갈대처럼 되게 할 것이며 그 백성을 그들의 조상들에게 준 이 좋은 땅에서 뿌리째 뽑아 유프라테스강 밖으로 흩어 버리실 것이오. 이것은 그들이 우상을 만들어 섬기므로 여호와를 노하게 하였기 때문이오.
  1. Dogs will eat those belonging to Jeroboam who die in the city, and the birds of the air will feed on those who die in the country. The LORD has spoken!'
  2. "As for you, go back home. When you set foot in your city, the boy will die.
  3. All Israel will mourn for him and bury him. He is the only one belonging to Jeroboam who will be buried, because he is the only one in the house of Jeroboam in whom the LORD, the God of Israel, has found anything good.
  4. "The LORD will raise up for himself a king over Israel who will cut off the family of Jeroboam. This is the day! What? Yes, even now.
  5. And the LORD will strike Israel, so that it will be like a reed swaying in the water. He will uproot Israel from this good land that he gave to their forefathers and scatter them beyond the River, because they provoked the LORD to anger by making Asherah poles.
  1. 여로보암왕은 자신이 범죄했을 뿐만 아니라 모든 백성들에게 죄를 짓게 하였으므로 여호와께서는 이스라엘을 버리실 것이오.'
  2. 그래서 여로보암의 아내가 디르사로 돌아가 자기 집 문 안으로 들어서자 그 아이는 즉시 죽고 말았다.
  3. 이스라엘 사람들은 여호와께서 예언자 아히야를 통해서 말씀하신 대로 그를 장사하고 슬퍼하였다.
  4. 그 밖에 여로보암이 행한 일 곧 그가 어떻게 싸웠으며 어떻게 다스렸는가 하는 것은 이스라엘 왕들의 역사책이 잘 기록되어 있다.
  5. 여로보암은 왕이 된 지 22년 만에 죽어 장사되었고 그의 아들 나답이 왕위를 계승하였다.
  1. And he will give Israel up because of the sins Jeroboam has committed and has caused Israel to commit."
  2. Then Jeroboam's wife got up and left and went to Tirzah. As soon as she stepped over the threshold of the house, the boy died.
  3. They buried him, and all Israel mourned for him, as the LORD had said through his servant the prophet Ahijah.
  4. The other events of Jeroboam's reign, his wars and how he ruled, are written in the book of the annals of the kings of Israel.
  5. He reigned for twenty-two years and then rested with his fathers. And Nadab his son succeeded him as king.
 
  유다의 우상 숭배(14:21-14:31)    
 
  1. 한편 솔로몬의 아들 르호보암이 유다 왕이 되었다. 그는 41세에 왕위에 올라 여호와께서 이스라엘의 모든 땅 중에서 경배받으실 곳으로 특별히 택한 성 예루살렘에서 17년을 통치하였다. 그리고 그의 어머니는 암몬 사람 나아마였다.
  2. 유다 백성들도 여호와께 범죄하여 그 조상들보다 여호와를 더 노하게 하였다.
  3. 그들도 역시 높은 산 언덕과 푸른 나무 아래에 산당과 돌기둥의 우상과 아세라 여신상을 세웠으며
  4. 또 그 땅의 우상 신전에는 남창들이 득실거렸다. 이와같이 유다 백성은 여호와께서 이스라엘 민족 앞에서 쫓아내신 이방 민족의 더러운 습성을 본받아 그대로 행하였다.
  5. 르호보암왕 5년에 이집트의 시삭왕이 예루살렘을 침략하여
  1. Rehoboam son of Solomon was king in Judah. He was forty-one years old when he became king, and he reigned seventeen years in Jerusalem, the city the LORD had chosen out of all the tribes of Israel in which to put his Name. His mother's name was Naamah; she was an Ammonite.
  2. Judah did evil in the eyes of the LORD. By the sins they committed they stirred up his jealous anger more than their fathers had done.
  3. They also set up for themselves high places, sacred stones and Asherah poles on every high hill and under every spreading tree.
  4. There were even male shrine prostitutes in the land; the people engaged in all the detestable practices of the nations the LORD had driven out before the Israelites.
  5. In the fifth year of King Rehoboam, Shishak king of Egypt attacked Jerusalem.
  1. 성전과 궁전의 모든 보물과 솔로몬이 만든 금방패를 모조리 약탈해 갔다.
  2. 그래서 르호보암왕은 대신 놋방패를 만들어 궁중 경비병들에게 주었는데
  3. 왕이 성전에 들어 갈 때마다 그들은 방패를 가지고 따라갔다가 다시 경비실로 가져왔다.
  4. 그 밖에 르호보암왕이 행한 모든 일은 유다 왕들의 역사책에 다 기록되어 있다.
  5. 그리고 르호보암과 여로보암 사이에는 끊임없는 전쟁이 있었다.
  1. He carried off the treasures of the temple of the LORD and the treasures of the royal palace. He took everything, including all the gold shields Solomon had made.
  2. So King Rehoboam made bronze shields to replace them and assigned these to the commanders of the guard on duty at the entrance to the royal palace.
  3. Whenever the king went to the LORD's temple, the guards bore the shields, and afterward they returned them to the guardroom.
  4. As for the other events of Rehoboam's reign, and all he did, are they not written in the book of the annals of the kings of Judah?
  5. There was continual warfare between Rehoboam and Jeroboam.
  1. 르호보암은 죽어 다윗성에 있는 그의 조상들의 묘에 장사되었다. 그의 어머니 이름은 나아마이며 암몬 사람이었다. 그의 아들 아비야가 왕위를 계승하였다.
  1. And Rehoboam rested with his fathers and was buried with them in the City of David. His mother's name was Naamah; she was an Ammonite. And Abijah his son succeeded him as king.
 
  아비얌, 아사의 유다 통치(15:1-15:24)    
 
  1. 이스라엘의 여로보암왕 18년에 아비야가 유다 왕이 되어
  2. 예루살렘에서 3년을 통치하였다. 그리고 그의 어머니는 아비살롬의 손녀 마아가였다.
  3. 아비야는 자기 아버지가 행한 모든 죄를 그대로 행하고 그의 증조부 다윗과 같지 않아 자기 마음을 여호와께 완전히 바치지 못하였다.
  4. 그러나 그의 하나님 여호와께서는 다윗을 생각하여 그의 뒤를 이어 다스릴 아들을 주셔서 예루살렘을 안전하게 지키도록 하셨다.
  5. 이것은 다윗이 헷 사람 우리아의 일 외에는 평생 여호와 앞에서 옳은 일을 행하고 그의 명령을 하나도 어기지 않았기 때문이었다.
  1. In the eighteenth year of the reign of Jeroboam son of Nebat, Abijah became king of Judah,
  2. and he reigned in Jerusalem three years. His mother's name was Maacah daughter of Abishalom.
  3. He committed all the sins his father had done before him; his heart was not fully devoted to the LORD his God, as the heart of David his forefather had been.
  4. Nevertheless, for David's sake the LORD his God gave him a lamp in Jerusalem by raising up a son to succeed him and by making Jerusalem strong.
  5. For David had done what was right in the eyes of the LORD and had not failed to keep any of the LORD's commands all the days of his life--except in the case of Uriah the Hittite.
  1. 르호보암과 여로보암 사이에 끊임없는 전쟁이 있었는데
  2. 아비야와 여로보암 사이에도 항상 전쟁이 있었다. 그 밖에 아비야가 행한 일은 유다 왕들의 역사책에 기록되어 있다.
  3. 아비야는 죽어 다윗성에 장사되었고 그의 아들 아사가 왕위를 계승하였다.
  4. 이스라엘의 여로보암왕 20년에 아사가 유다 왕이 되어
  5. 예루살렘에서 41년을 통치하였다. 그리고 그의 할머니는 아비살롬의 손녀 마아가였다.
  1. There was war between Rehoboam and Jeroboam throughout Abijah's lifetime.
  2. As for the other events of Abijah's reign, and all he did, are they not written in the book of the annals of the kings of Judah? There was war between Abijah and Jeroboam.
  3. And Abijah rested with his fathers and was buried in the City of David. And Asa his son succeeded him as king.
  4. In the twentieth year of Jeroboam king of Israel, Asa became king of Judah,
  5. and he reigned in Jerusalem forty-one years. His grandmother's name was Maacah daughter of Abishalom.
  1. 아사는 그의 조상 다윗처럼 여호와께서 보시기에 옳은 일을 하였으며
  2. 그 땅에서 남창들을 모조리 추방하고 그의 선왕들이 만든 모든 우상을 제거하였다.
  3. 그는 또 자기 할머니 마아가가 더러운 아세라 우상을 만들었으므로 대왕 대비 자리에서 물러나게 하고 그 우상을 찍어 기드론 시냇가에서 불살라 버렸다.
  4. 아사는 비록 산당을 제거하지는 않았으나 그는 평생 동안 여호와께 성실하였으며
  5. 자기 아버지와 자신이 헌납한 은과 금과 그릇들을 모두 여호와의 성전에 갖다 두었다.
  1. Asa did what was right in the eyes of the LORD, as his father David had done.
  2. He expelled the male shrine prostitutes from the land and got rid of all the idols his fathers had made.
  3. He even deposed his grandmother Maacah from her position as queen mother, because she had made a repulsive Asherah pole. Asa cut the pole down and burned it in the Kidron Valley.
  4. Although he did not remove the high places, Asa's heart was fully committed to the LORD all his life.
  5. He brought into the temple of the LORD the silver and gold and the articles that he and his father had dedicated.
  1. 아사와 이스라엘의 바아사왕 사이에 끊임없는 전쟁이 있었다.
  2. 이스라엘의 바아사왕이 유다를 침략하여 아사왕이 거주하는 예루살렘의 출입로를 차단하려고 라마를 요새화하기 시작하였다.
  3. 그래서 아사왕은 성전의 창고와 궁전에 있는 은과 금을 모조리 끄집어내어 다브림몬의 아들이며 헤시온의 손자인 시리아의 벤-하닷왕에게 갖다주라고 자기 신하들을 다마스커스로 보내며 이런 전갈을 보냈다.
  4. '내 아버지와 당신의 아버지가 동맹을 맺었듯이 당신과 나 사이에도 동맹을 맺읍시다. 내가 보내는 이 은과 금은 당신에게 드리는 선물입니다. 이제 당신은 이스라엘의 바아사왕과 맺은 동맹을 끊고 그가 우리 영토에서 철수하게 해 주십시오.'
  5. 벤-하닷은 아사왕의 요구를 승낙하고 자기 군 지휘관들에게 지시하여 이스라엘 성들을 치게 하였는데 그들은 이욘, 단, 아벨-벧-마아가, 긴네렛 일대, 그리고 납달리 전 지역을 점령하였다.
  1. There was war between Asa and Baasha king of Israel throughout their reigns.
  2. Baasha king of Israel went up against Judah and fortified Ramah to prevent anyone from leaving or entering the territory of Asa king of Judah.
  3. Asa then took all the silver and gold that was left in the treasuries of the LORD's temple and of his own palace. He entrusted it to his officials and sent them to Ben-Hadad son of Tabrimmon, the son of Hezion, the king of Aram, who was ruling in Damascus.
  4. "Let there be a treaty between me and you," he said, "as there was between my father and your father. See, I am sending you a gift of silver and gold. Now break your treaty with Baasha king of Israel so he will withdraw from me."
  5. Ben-Hadad agreed with King Asa and sent the commanders of his forces against the towns of Israel. He conquered Ijon, Dan, Abel Beth Maacah and all Kinnereth in addition to Naphtali.
  1. 바아사왕은 이 소식을 듣고 라마의 요새화 작업을 중단하고 디르사로 돌아왔다.
  2. 그때 아사왕은 유다 전역에 명령을 내려 바아사가 라마를 요새화하는 데 사용하던 돌과 목재를 가져오게 하여 그것으로 베냐민 땅의 게바와 미스바를 요새화 하였다.
  3. 그 밖에 아사가 행한 모든 일과 그의 업적과 그가 성을 건축한 일은 유다 왕들의 역사책에 모두 기록되어 있다. 그러나 그가 늙었을 때에는 발에 병이 들었다.
  4. 아사는 죽어 다윗성에 있는 왕들의 묘에 장사되었고 그의 아들 여호사밧이 왕위를 계승하였다.
  1. When Baasha heard this, he stopped building Ramah and withdrew to Tirzah.
  2. Then King Asa issued an order to all Judah--no one was exempt--and they carried away from Ramah the stones and timber Baasha had been using there. With them King Asa built up Geba in Benjamin, and also Mizpah.
  3. As for all the other events of Asa's reign, all his achievements, all he did and the cities he built, are they not written in the book of the annals of the kings of Judah? In his old age, however, his feet became diseased.
  4. Then Asa rested with his fathers and was buried with them in the city of his father David. And Jehoshaphat his son succeeded him as king.
 
  나답, 바아사의 이스라엘 통치(15:25-15:34)    
 
  1. 유다의 아사왕 2년에 여로보암의 아들 나답이 이스라엘의 왕이 되어 2년 동안 통치하였다.
  2. 그는 자기 아버지처럼 여호와께 범죄하고 이스라엘 백성을 죄의 길로 인도하였다.
  3. 잇사갈 지파 사람인 아히야의 아들 바아사가 음모를 꾸며 자기 군대와 함께 블레셋 땅의 깁브돈성을 포위하고 있던 나답을 쳐죽이고
  4. 유다의 아사왕 3년에 이스라엘의 왕이 되었다.
  5. 그리고 그는 왕이 된 즉시 여로보암의 집안에 속한 사람들을 한 사람도 남기지 않고 모조리 죽였는데 이것은 여호와께서 실로 사람 예언자 아히야를 통해 말씀하신 것과 같이 되었다.
  1. Nadab son of Jeroboam became king of Israel in the second year of Asa king of Judah, and he reigned over Israel two years.
  2. He did evil in the eyes of the LORD, walking in the ways of his father and in his sin, which he had caused Israel to commit.
  3. Baasha son of Ahijah of the house of Issachar plotted against him, and he struck him down at Gibbethon, a Philistine town, while Nadab and all Israel were besieging it.
  4. Baasha killed Nadab in the third year of Asa king of Judah and succeeded him as king.
  5. As soon as he began to reign, he killed Jeroboam's whole family. He did not leave Jeroboam anyone that breathed, but destroyed them all, according to the word of the LORD given through his servant Ahijah the Shilonite-
  1. 이런 일이 일어난 것은 여로보암이 범죄하고 이스라엘 백성을 죄의 길로 인도하여 여호와를 노하게 하였기 때문이었다.
  2. 나답이 행한 모든 일은 이스라엘 왕들의 역사책에 기록되어 있다.
  3. 그리고 아사와 이스라엘의 바아사왕 사이에는 끊임없는 전쟁이 있었다.
  4. 유다의 아사왕 3년에 아히야의 아들 바아사가 이스라엘의 왕이 되어 디르사에서 24년을 통치하였다.
  5. 그도 여로보암처럼 여호와께 범죄하고 이스라엘을 죄의 길로 인도하였다.
  1. because of the sins Jeroboam had committed and had caused Israel to commit, and because he provoked the LORD, the God of Israel, to anger.
  2. As for the other events of Nadab's reign, and all he did, are they not written in the book of the annals of the kings of Israel?
  3. There was war between Asa and Baasha king of Israel throughout their reigns.
  4. In the third year of Asa king of Judah, Baasha son of Ahijah became king of all Israel in Tirzah, and he reigned twenty-four years.
  5. He did evil in the eyes of the LORD, walking in the ways of Jeroboam and in his sin, which he had caused Israel to commit.
