열왕기하 20:1-21:26

 히스기야는 불치병을 기도로 치료받고 생명을 15년 연장받는 기적을 체험하였지만, 바벨론 사절단 앞에서 자신의 부귀 영화를 자랑하는 교만한 행위를 나타냄으로써 이사야 선지자를 통해 유다 왕국의 멸망을 예고받았다. 히스기야의 뒤를 이은 므낫세와 아몬은 거듭된 하나님의 심판의 경고에도 불구하고 우상 숭배와 사악한 통치를 행하여 유다 멸망의 결정적인 원인을 제공하였다.
  
  히스기야의 생명 연장과 실수(20:1-20:21)    
 
  1. 이때 히스기야왕이 병들어 죽게 되었다. 그래서 아모스의 아들 이사야가 그에게 가서 이렇게 말하였다. '여호와께서는 왕이 회복되지 못할 것이므로 모든 것을 정리하고 죽을 준비를 하라고 말씀하셨습니다.'
  2. 그러자 히스기야는 얼굴을 벽 쪽으로 돌리고
  3. '여호와여, 내가 마음을 다하여 주를 성실하게 섬긴 일과 내가 주 앞에서 선하게 살려고 했던 것을 기억하소서.' 하고 기도하며 크게 통곡하였다.
  4. 이사야가 왕 앞에서 물러나 궁전 뜰 중앙을 나오기도 전에 여호와께서 그에게 말씀하셨다.
  5. '너는 내 백성의 지도자 히스기야에게 돌아가서 그의 조상 다윗의 하나님 나 여호와가 이렇게 말한다고 일러 주어라. 나는 네 기도를 들었고 네 눈물을 보았다. 내가 너를 고칠 것이며 너는 3일 만에 성전으로 올라갈 것이다.
  1. In those days Hezekiah became ill and was at the point of death. The prophet Isaiah son of Amoz went to him and said, "This is what the LORD says: Put your house in order, because you are going to die; you will not recover."
  2. Hezekiah turned his face to the wall and prayed to the LORD,
  3. "Remember, O LORD, how I have walked before you faithfully and with wholehearted devotion and have done what is good in your eyes." And Hezekiah wept bitterly.
  4. Before Isaiah had left the middle court, the word of the LORD came to him:
  5. "Go back and tell Hezekiah, the leader of my people, 'This is what the LORD, the God of your father David, says: I have heard your prayer and seen your tears; I will heal you. On the third day from now you will go up to the temple of the LORD.
  1. 내가 네 수명을 15년 더 연장할 것이며 너와 이 성을 앗시리아 왕의 손에서 구하고 나의 명예와 내 종 다윗을 위해 내가 이 성을 지키고 보호할 것이다.'
  2. 그리고서 이사야는 무화과를 가져오라고 지시하였다. 그래서 왕의 시종들이 그것을 으깨 가지고 왕의 종기에 붙이자 그 상처가 나았다.
  3. 그때 히스기야왕이 이사야에게 물었다. '여호와께서 나를 고치시고 내가 3일 만에 성전으로 올라가게 할 것이라고 말씀하셨는데 그것을 확증해 줄 만한 무슨 표적이 있습니까?'
  4. 여호와께서 약속하신 것을 지키시겠다는 표적을 왕에게 주실 것입니다. 왕은 해 그림자가 10도 앞으로 나아가는 것을 원하십니까? 아니면 10도 뒤로 물러가는 것을 원하십니까?'
  5. '그림자가 10도 앞으로 나아가기는 쉬운 일입니다. 그러므로 그 그림자를 10도 뒤로 물러가게 하십시오.'
  1. I will add fifteen years to your life. And I will deliver you and this city from the hand of the king of Assyria. I will defend this city for my sake and for the sake of my servant David.' "
  2. Then Isaiah said, "Prepare a poultice of figs." They did so and applied it to the boil, and he recovered.
  3. Hezekiah had asked Isaiah, "What will be the sign that the LORD will heal me and that I will go up to the temple of the LORD on the third day from now?"
  4. Isaiah answered, "This is the LORD's sign to you that the LORD will do what he has promised: Shall the shadow go forward ten steps, or shall it go back ten steps?"
  5. "It is a simple matter for the shadow to go forward ten steps," said Hezekiah. "Rather, have it go back ten steps."
  1. 그래서 이사야가 여호와께 기도하자 여호와께서는 아하스왕이 만들어 놓은 일영표의 해 그림자가 10도 뒤로 물러가게 하셨다.
  2. 그때 발라단의 아들인 바빌로니아의 므로닥-발라단왕이 히스기야가 병들었다는 말을 듣고 문병 편지와 선물을 보냈다.
  3. 히스기야는 문병 온 사절들을 환영하고 그들에게 자기 창고에 있는 은과 금과 향품과 값진 기름과 그리고 무기고에 있는 모든 것을 다 보여 주었으며 궁전과 나라 안에 있는 소중한 것 중에 보여 주지 않은 것이 하나도 없었다.
  4. 그때 예언자 이사야가 히스기야왕에게 가서 물었다. '이 사람들이 왕에게 무슨 말을 하였으며 또 이들은 어디서 왔습니까?' '그들은 먼 나라 바빌로니아에서 왔습니다.'
  5. '그들이 궁전에서 무엇을 보았습니까?' '그들은 모든 것을 다 보았으며 궁전 창고에 있는 것 중에서 내가 그들에게 보여 주지 않은 것이 하나도 없습니다.'
  1. Then the prophet Isaiah called upon the LORD, and the LORD made the shadow go back the ten steps it had gone down on the stairway of Ahaz.
  2. At that time Merodach-Baladan son of Baladan king of Babylon sent Hezekiah letters and a gift, because he had heard of Hezekiah's illness.
  3. Hezekiah received the messengers and showed them all that was in his storehouses--the silver, the gold, the spices and the fine oil--his armory and everything found among his treasures. There was nothing in his palace or in all his kingdom that Hezekiah did not show them.
  4. Then Isaiah the prophet went to King Hezekiah and asked, "What did those men say, and where did they come from?" "From a distant land," Hezekiah replied. "They came from Babylon."
  5. The prophet asked, "What did they see in your palace?" "They saw everything in my palace," Hezekiah said. "There is nothing among my treasures that I did not show them."
  1. 그때 이사야가 히스기야왕에게 말하였다. '왕은 여호와의 말씀을 들으십시오.
  2. 여호와께서는 왕의 조상들이 오늘날까지 궁전 창고에 쌓아 둔 그 모든 것이 바빌로니아로 옮겨지고 하나도 남지 않을 것이며
  3. 또 왕의 아들 중 몇 사람이 끌려가 바빌로니아 왕의 궁전에서 내시가 될 것이라고 말씀하셨습니다.'
  4. 그러자 히스기야왕은 적어도 자기 시대에는 평화와 안전이 있을 것을 알고 '당신이 말한 여호와의 말씀은 다 좋습니다.' 하고 대답하였다.
  5. 그 밖에 히스기야왕이 행한 모든 일과 그의 업적과 또 그가 저수지와 수로를 만들어 물을 성 안으로 끌어들인 일은 유다왕들의 역사책에 기록되어 있다.
  1. Then Isaiah said to Hezekiah, "Hear the word of the LORD :
  2. The time will surely come when everything in your palace, and all that your fathers have stored up until this day, will be carried off to Babylon. Nothing will be left, says the LORD.
  3. And some of your descendants, your own flesh and blood, that will be born to you, will be taken away, and they will become eunuchs in the palace of the king of Babylon."
  4. "The word of the LORD you have spoken is good," Hezekiah replied. For he thought, "Will there not be peace and security in my lifetime?"
  5. As for the other events of Hezekiah's reign, all his achievements and how he made the pool and the tunnel by which he brought water into the city, are they not written in the book of the annals of the kings of Judah?
  1. 그는 죽어 자기 조상들 곁에 장사되었고 그의 아들 므낫세가 왕위를 계승하였다.
  1. Hezekiah rested with his fathers. And Manasseh his son succeeded him as king.
 
  므낫세의 악정과 심판 예고(21:1-21:26)    
 
  1. 므낫세는 12세에 왕위에 올라 예루살렘에서 55년을 통치하였다. 그리고 그의 어머니는 헵시바였다.
  2. 므낫세는 여호와께서 이스라엘 백성 앞에서 쫓아내신 이방 민족의 더러운 행위를 본받아 여호와께서 보시기에 악을 행하고
  3. 그의 아버지 히스기야가 헐어 버린 산당을 다시 세웠으며 이스라엘의 아합왕을 본받아 바알의 단을 쌓고 아세라 여신상을 세우며 하늘의 별들을 숭배하였다.
  4. 그리고 그는 여호와께서 경배를 받으시겠다고 말씀하신 성전에 이방 신의 단들을 쌓고
  5. 여전히 두 뜰에 하늘의 별들을 숭배하는 단들을 쌓았으며
  1. Manasseh was twelve years old when he became king, and he reigned in Jerusalem fifty-five years. His mother's name was Hephzibah.
  2. He did evil in the eyes of the LORD, following the detestable practices of the nations the LORD had driven out before the Israelites.
  3. He rebuilt the high places his father Hezekiah had destroyed; he also erected altars to Baal and made an Asherah pole, as Ahab king of Israel had done. He bowed down to all the starry hosts and worshiped them.
  4. He built altars in the temple of the LORD, of which the LORD had said, "In Jerusalem I will put my Name."
  5. In both courts of the temple of the LORD, he built altars to all the starry hosts.
  1. 자기 아들을 산 채로 불에 태워 이방 신에게 제물로 바쳤다. 그는 또 마술을 행하고 점장이와 무당과 영매를 찾아다녔으며 여호와께서 보시기에 많은 악을 행하여 그를 노하게 하였다.
  2. 그리고 그는 아세라 여신상을 만들어 성전 안에 세웠는데 여호와께서는 이 성전에 대하여 전에 다윗과 그의 아들 솔로몬에게 이렇게 말씀하셨다. '예루살렘의 이 성전은 이스라엘 모든 지파의 땅 중에서 내가 경배를 받을 곳으로 택한 장소이다.

  4. 그러나 유다 백성들은 여호와의 말씀을 듣지 않았고 므낫세의 꼬임에 빠져 여호와께서 이스라엘 백성들 앞에서 멸망시킨 이방 민족들보다 더 많은 악을 행하였다.
  5. 그래서 여호와께서는 예언자들을 통하여 이렇게 말씀하셨다.
  1. He sacrificed his own son in the fire, practiced sorcery and divination, and consulted mediums and spiritists. He did much evil in the eyes of the LORD, provoking him to anger.
  2. He took the carved Asherah pole he had made and put it in the temple, of which the LORD had said to David and to his son Solomon, "In this temple and in Jerusalem, which I have chosen out of all the tribes of Israel, I will put my Name forever.
  3. I will not again make the feet of the Israelites wander from the land I gave their forefathers, if only they will be careful to do everything I commanded them and will keep the whole Law that my servant Moses gave them."
  4. But the people did not listen. Manasseh led them astray, so that they did more evil than the nations the LORD had destroyed before the Israelites.
  5. The LORD said through his servants the prophets:
  1. '유다 왕 므낫세가 이처럼 더러운 일을 행하여 옛날 이 땅에 살던 아모리 사람들보다 더 많은 악을 행하고 우상으로 유다 백성을 죄의 길로 인도하였다.
  2. 그러므로 이스라엘의 하나님 나 여호와가 듣는 사람마다 깜짝 놀랄 무서운 재앙을 예루살렘과 유다에 내릴 것이다.
  3. 내가 사마리아와 아합의 집안을 벌한 것처럼 예루살렘을 벌하고 그릇을 깨끗이 씻어 엎듯이 예루살렘을 깨끗이 쓸어 버릴 것이다.
  4. 나는 또 살아 남은 자들을 저버리고 그들을 원수들에게 넘겨 주어 약탈을 당하게 할 것이다.
  5. 이것은 그들이 이집트에서 나온 그들 조상의 시대부터 오늘날까지 내 앞에서 악을 행하여 나를 노하게 하였기 때문이다.'
  1. "Manasseh king of Judah has committed these detestable sins. He has done more evil than the Amorites who preceded him and has led Judah into sin with his idols.
  2. Therefore this is what the LORD, the God of Israel, says: I am going to bring such disaster on Jerusalem and Judah that the ears of everyone who hears of it will tingle.
  3. I will stretch out over Jerusalem the measuring line used against Samaria and the plumb line used against the house of Ahab. I will wipe out Jerusalem as one wipes a dish, wiping it and turning it upside down.
  4. I will forsake the remnant of my inheritance and hand them over to their enemies. They will be looted and plundered by all their foes,
  5. because they have done evil in my eyes and have provoked me to anger from the day their forefathers came out of Egypt until this day."
  1. 므낫세는 유다 백성들에게 우상을 섬기게 하여 여호와 앞에서 범죄하도록한 그 죄 외에도 죄 없는 사람들을 수없이 죽여 예루살렘의 거리를 온통 피로 물들게 하였다.
  2. 그 밖에 므낫세가 행한 모든 일과 그가 범한 죄는 유다 왕들의 역사책에 기록되어 있다.
  3. 그는 죽어 웃사의 동산에 장사되었고 그의 아들 아몬이 왕위를 계승하였다.
  4. 아몬은 22세에 왕위에 올라 예루살렘에서 2년을 통치하였다. 그리고 그의 어머니는 욧바 사람인 하루스의 딸 므술레멧이었다.
  5. 그는 자기 아버지처럼 여호와께서 보시기에 악을 행하고
  1. Moreover, Manasseh also shed so much innocent blood that he filled Jerusalem from end to end--besides the sin that he had caused Judah to commit, so that they did evil in the eyes of the LORD.
  2. As for the other events of Manasseh's reign, and all he did, including the sin he committed, are they not written in the book of the annals of the kings of Judah?
  3. Manasseh rested with his fathers and was buried in his palace garden, the garden of Uzza. And Amon his son succeeded him as king.
  4. Amon was twenty-two years old when he became king, and he reigned in Jerusalem two years. His mother's name was Meshullemeth daughter of Haruz; she was from Jotbah.
  5. He did evil in the eyes of the LORD, as his father Manasseh had done.
  1. 자기 아버지의 모든 행위를 그대로 본받아 자기 아버지가 섬기던 우상을 숭배하였으며
  2. 그 조상의 하나님 여호와를 저버리고 그의 명령에 불순종하였다.
  3. 그의 신하들이 반역을 일으켜 그를 궁전에서 살해하자
  4. 유다 백성들이 왕을 살해한 사람들을 다 죽이고 왕자 요시야를 왕으로 세웠다.
  5. 그 밖에 아몬이 행한 모든 일은 유다 왕들의 역사책에 기록되어 있다.
  1. He walked in all the ways of his father; he worshiped the idols his father had worshiped, and bowed down to them.
  2. He forsook the LORD, the God of his fathers, and did not walk in the way of the LORD.
  3. Amon's officials conspired against him and assassinated the king in his palace.
  4. Then the people of the land killed all who had plotted against King Amon, and they made Josiah his son king in his place.
  5. As for the other events of Amon's reign, and what he did, are they not written in the book of the annals of the kings of Judah?
  1. 그는 웃사의 동산에 있는 자기 묘에 장사되었고 그의 아들 요시야가 왕위를 계승하였다.
  1. He was buried in his grave in the garden of Uzza. And Josiah his son succeeded him as king.
