역대하 26:1-28:27

 웃시야는 통치 초기에 하나님 보시기에 정직하게 행하여 형통케 되었으나, 후기에는 교만한 마음으로 제사장의 고유 역할인 성전의 분향 사역을 대신하려다가 하나님의 심판을 받아 문둥병으로 일생을 마쳤다. 요담은 하나님의 전 건축 사업에 힘썼으며, 바르게 행하여 강성하게 되었다. 그러나 그의 아들 아하스는 하나님 앞에서 우상 숭배를 행함으로써 하나님의 진노를 일으켰다.
  
  웃시야의 통치(26:1-26:23)    
 
  1. 유다 백성들은 16세의 웃시야를 그의 아버지 아마샤를 대신하여 왕으로 삼았다.
  2. 그의 아버지가 죽은 후에 웃시야는 엘랏을 재건하여 다시 유다 영토가 되게 하였다.
  3. 웃시야는 16세에 왕위에 올라 예루살렘에서 52년을 통치하였다. 그리고 그의 어머니는 예루살렘 사람 여골리야였다.
  4. 웃시야는 자기 아버지 아마샤를 본받아 여호와께서 보시기에 옳은 일을 하였으며

  1. Then all the people of Judah took Uzziah, who was sixteen years old, and made him king in place of his father Amaziah.
  2. He was the one who rebuilt Elath and restored it to Judah after Amaziah rested with his fathers.
  3. Uzziah was sixteen years old when he became king, and he reigned in Jerusalem fifty-two years. His mother's name was Jecoliah; she was from Jerusalem.
  4. He did what was right in the eyes of the LORD, just as his father Amaziah had done.
  5. He sought God during the days of Zechariah, who instructed him in the fear of God. As long as he sought the LORD, God gave him success.
  1. 웃시야는 블레셋 사람과 싸워 가드와 야브네와 아스돗성들을 점령하고 그 성벽들을 헐어 아스돗 일대와 그 밖에 블레셋 땅에 새로운 성들을 건축하였다.
  2. 하나님은 블레셋 사람과의 전쟁에서만 그를 도운 것이 아니라 구르-바알에 사는 아라비아 사람들과 그리고 마온 사람들과의 전쟁에서도 그를 도와 주셨다.
  3. 암몬 사람들이 웃시야에게 조공을 바치자 그의 세력은 대단히 막강해져서 그는 이집트에까지 널리 명성을 떨쳤다.
  4. 웃시야는 성 모퉁이문과 골짜기문과 성벽 모퉁이에 망대를 세워 예루살렘성을 한층 더 강화하였다.
  5. 그는 또 광야에도 요새화된 망대를 세우고 물웅덩이를 많이 팠는데 이것은 그가 저지대와 평야에 가축을 많이 기르고 있었기 때문이었다. 웃시야는 농사를 좋아하였으므로 백성들에게 산간 지대에 포도나무를 심고 비옥한 땅에는 농사를 짓도록 권장하였다.
  1. He went to war against the Philistines and broke down the walls of Gath, Jabneh and Ashdod. He then rebuilt towns near Ashdod and elsewhere among the Philistines.
  2. God helped him against the Philistines and against the Arabs who lived in Gur Baal and against the Meunites.
  3. The Ammonites brought tribute to Uzziah, and his fame spread as far as the border of Egypt, because he had become very powerful.
  4. Uzziah built towers in Jerusalem at the Corner Gate, at the Valley Gate and at the angle of the wall, and he fortified them.
  5. He also built towers in the desert and dug many cisterns, because he had much livestock in the foothills and in the plain. He had people working his fields and vineyards in the hills and in the fertile lands, for he loved the soil.
  1. 웃시야에게는 많은 전투 병력이 있었다. 이들의 기록 카드는 총사령관인 하나냐의 지시를 받아 서기관 여이엘과 그의 부관 마아세야가 취급하고 있었다.

  1. Uzziah had a well-trained army, ready to go out by divisions according to their numbers as mustered by Jeiel the secretary and Maaseiah the officer under the direction of Hananiah, one of the royal officials.
  2. The total number of family leaders over the fighting men was 2,600.
  3. Under their command was an army of 307,500 men trained for war, a powerful force to support the king against his enemies.
  4. Uzziah provided shields, spears, helmets, coats of armor, bows and slingstones for the entire army.
  5. In Jerusalem he made machines designed by skillful men for use on the towers and on the corner defenses to shoot arrows and hurl large stones. His fame spread far and wide, for he was greatly helped until he became powerful.
  1. 그러나 웃시야왕은 자기 세력이 막강해지자 마음이 교만해져서 패망길에 들어서고 말았다. 그는 그의 하나님 여호와께 범죄하고 아무나 들어갈 수 없는 여호와의 성전에 들어가 분향하려고 하였다.
  2. 그러자 대제사장 아사랴가 건장하고 용감한 제사장 80명을 데리고 왕을 따라 들어가서

  4. 이때 성전 향단 곁에서 분향하려고 향로를 잡고 있던 웃시야가 제사장에게 버럭 화를 내자 그 순간 그의 이마에는 갑자기 문둥병이 발생하였다.
  5. 대제사장 아사랴와 다른 모든 제사장들이 왕의 이마에 문둥병이 생긴 것을 보고 그를 성전에서 급히 쫓아내자 왕 자신도 여호와께서 자기를 벌하신 줄 알고 성전에서 급히 떠났다.
  1. But after Uzziah became powerful, his pride led to his downfall. He was unfaithful to the LORD his God, and entered the temple of the LORD to burn incense on the altar of incense.
  2. Azariah the priest with eighty other courageous priests of the LORD followed him in.
  3. They confronted him and said, "It is not right for you, Uzziah, to burn incense to the LORD. That is for the priests, the descendants of Aaron, who have been consecrated to burn incense. Leave the sanctuary, for you have been unfaithful; and you will not be honored by the LORD God."
  4. Uzziah, who had a censer in his hand ready to burn incense, became angry. While he was raging at the priests in their presence before the incense altar in the LORD's temple, leprosy broke out on his forehead.
  5. When Azariah the chief priest and all the other priests looked at him, they saw that he had leprosy on his forehead, so they hurried him out. Indeed, he himself was eager to leave, because the LORD had afflicted him.
  1. 이리하여 웃시야왕은 그가 죽는 날까지 문둥병자가 되어 다시는 성전에 들어가지 못하고 별궁에서 혼자 격리 생활을 하였다. 그래서 그의 아들 요담이 왕궁을 관리하고 나라 일을 맡아 다스렸다.
  2. 그 밖에 웃시야가 행한 모든 일은 아모스의 아들인 예언자 이사야가 자세히 기록하였다.
  3. 웃시야가 죽었을 때 그는 문둥병이 걸렸다는 이유로 왕들의 묘에 장사되지 못하고 그 곁에 있는 궁중 묘지에 장사되었다. 그리고 그의 아들 요담이 왕위를 계승하였다.
  1. King Uzziah had leprosy until the day he died. He lived in a separate house --leprous, and excluded from the temple of the LORD. Jotham his son had charge of the palace and governed the people of the land.
  2. The other events of Uzziah's reign, from beginning to end, are recorded by the prophet Isaiah son of Amoz.
  3. Uzziah rested with his fathers and was buried near them in a field for burial that belonged to the kings, for people said, "He had leprosy." And Jotham his son succeeded him as king.
 
  요담의 통치(27:1-27:9)    
 
  1. 요담은 25세에 왕위에 올라 예루살렘에서 16년을 통치하였다. 그리고 그의 어머니는 사독의 딸 여루사였다.
  2. 요담은 그의 아버지 웃시야의 선한 행실을 본받아 여호와께서 보시기에 옳은 일을 하였으며 그는 또 자기 아버지처럼 성전을 침범하여 죄를 짓는 일도 하지 않았다. 그러나 그의 백성들은 계속 죄를 짓고 있었다.
  3. 요담은 성전 북문을 건축하고 오벨이라는 예루살렘 지역의 성벽을 증축하였으며
  4. 또 유다 산중에 성을 건축하고 삼림 지대에 요새를 만들며 망대를 세웠다.
  5. 요담은 암몬 왕과 싸워 이겼기 때문에 그 후 3년 동안 매년 은 3,400킬로그램과 밀 약 980톤과 보리 약 980톤을 조공으로 거둬들였다.
  1. Jotham was twenty-five years old when he became king, and he reigned in Jerusalem sixteen years. His mother's name was Jerusha daughter of Zadok.
  2. He did what was right in the eyes of the LORD, just as his father Uzziah had done, but unlike him he did not enter the temple of the LORD. The people, however, continued their corrupt practices.
  3. Jotham rebuilt the Upper Gate of the temple of the LORD and did extensive work on the wall at the hill of Ophel.
  4. He built towns in the Judean hills and forts and towers in the wooded areas.
  5. Jotham made war on the king of the Ammonites and conquered them. That year the Ammonites paid him a hundred talents of silver, ten thousand cors of wheat and ten thousand cors of barley. The Ammonites brought him the same amount also in the second and third years.
  1. 요담은 그의 하나님 여호와 앞에서 바르게 살았으므로 강력한 왕이 되었다.
  2. 그 밖에 요담이 행한 일과 그 당시에 일어난 사건 및 전쟁 이야기는 이스라엘과 유다 왕들의 역사책에 기록되어 있다.
  3. 요담이 왕이 되었을 때는 그의 나이 25세였으며 그는 예루살렘에서 16년을 통치하였다.
  4. 그는 죽어 다윗성에 장사되었고 그의 아들 아하스가 왕위를 계승하였다.
  1. Jotham grew powerful because he walked steadfastly before the LORD his God.
  2. The other events in Jotham's reign, including all his wars and the other things he did, are written in the book of the kings of Israel and Judah.
  3. He was twenty-five years old when he became king, and he reigned in Jerusalem sixteen years.
  4. Jotham rested with his fathers and was buried in the City of David. And Ahaz his son succeeded him as king.
 
  아하스의 통치(28:1-28:27)    
 
  1. 아하스는 20세에 왕위에 올라 예루살렘에서 16년을 통치하였다. 그러나 그는 그의 조상 다윗과 같지 않아 여호와께서 보시기에 옳은 일을 하지 않았다.
  2. 그는 이스라엘 왕들을 본받아 바알 우상을 만들어 섬기고
  3. 힌놈 골짜기에서 분향하며 여호와께서 이스라엘 백성 앞에서 쫓아내신 이방 민족들에 더러운 풍습을 본받아 심지어 자기 아들들까지 산채로 불태워 우상에게 제물로 바쳤으며

  5. 그러므로 그의 하나님 여호와께서는 그를 시리아 왕의 손에 넘겨 주셨다. 그래서 시리아군은 유다를 침략하여 수많은 백성을 포로로 잡아 다마스커스로 끌고 갔다. 또 여호와께서는 이스라엘 왕을 통해 그의 군대를 쳐서 많은 사상자를 내게 하셨는데
  1. Ahaz was twenty years old when he became king, and he reigned in Jerusalem sixteen years. Unlike David his father, he did not do what was right in the eyes of the LORD.
  2. He walked in the ways of the kings of Israel and also made cast idols for worshiping the Baals.
  3. He burned sacrifices in the Valley of Ben Hinnom and sacrificed his sons in the fire, following the detestable ways of the nations the LORD had driven out before the Israelites.
  4. He offered sacrifices and burned incense at the high places, on the hilltops and under every spreading tree.
  5. Therefore the LORD his God handed him over to the king of Aram. The Arameans defeated him and took many of his people as prisoners and brought them to Damascus. He was also given into the hands of the king of Israel, who inflicted heavy casualties on him.
  1. 르말랴의 아들 베가가 하루 동안에 유다군 12만 명을 죽였다. 이것은 그들이 그들 조상의 하나님 여호와를 버렸기 때문이었다.

  5. 그러고도 여러분은 유다와 예루살렘에서 끌고 온 이 사람들을 노예로 삼으려고 합니다. 여러분도 여러분의 하나님 여호와께 범죄한 적이 없습니까?
  1. In one day Pekah son of Remaliah killed a hundred and twenty thousand soldiers in Judah--because Judah had forsaken the LORD, the God of their fathers.
  2. Zicri, an Ephraimite warrior, killed Maaseiah the king's son, Azrikam the officer in charge of the palace, and Elkanah, second to the king.
  3. The Israelites took captive from their kinsmen two hundred thousand wives, sons and daughters. They also took a great deal of plunder, which they carried back to Samaria.
  4. But a prophet of the LORD named Oded was there, and he went out to meet the army when it returned to Samaria. He said to them, "Because the LORD, the God of your fathers, was angry with Judah, he gave them into your hand. But you have slaughtered them in a rage that reaches to heaven.
  5. And now you intend to make the men and women of Judah and Jerusalem your slaves. But aren't you also guilty of sins against the LORD your God?
  1. 여러분은 내 말을 들으십시오! 이 사람들은 여러분의 형제요 자매들입니다. 이들을 다 돌려보내십시오. 그렇지 않으면 여호와께서 분노하셔서 여러분을 벌하실 것입니다.'
  2. 그러자 에브라임의 지도자 몇 사람도 이스라엘군의 처사에 반대하고 나섰다. 그들은 요하난의 아들 아사랴, 무실레못의 아들 베레갸, 살룸의 아들 여히스기야, 하들래의 아들 아마사였다.
  3. 그들은 군인들에게 이렇게 외쳤다. '당신들은 이 포로들을 이리로 끌어들이지 못합니다! 우리가 이미 범죄한 것도 많아서 여호와의 진노를 피할 길이 없는데 또 이 일로 당신들은 우리의 죄를 더하려고 하시오?'
  4. 그래서 군인들은 포로들과 전리품을 백성들과 그 지도자들에게 넘겨 주었다.
  5. 그러자 에브라임의 네 지도자들은 전리품을 인계받아 그것으로 벗은 자에게 옷을 입히고 필요한 대로 그들에게 신과 음식과 포도주를 주고 또 상처에 기름을 발라 치료해 주며 노약자는 나귀에 태워 모든 포로들을 종려나무 성인 여리고에까지 데리고 가서 그 가족들에게 넘겨 준 후에 그들은 사마리아로 돌아왔다.
  1. Now listen to me! Send back your fellow countrymen you have taken as prisoners, for the LORD's fierce anger rests on you."
  2. Then some of the leaders in Ephraim--Azariah son of Jehohanan, Berekiah son of Meshillemoth, Jehizkiah son of Shallum, and Amasa son of Hadlai--confronted those who were arriving from the war.
  3. "You must not bring those prisoners here," they said, "or we will be guilty before the LORD. Do you intend to add to our sin and guilt? For our guilt is already great, and his fierce anger rests on Israel."
  4. So the soldiers gave up the prisoners and plunder in the presence of the officials and all the assembly.
  5. The men designated by name took the prisoners, and from the plunder they clothed all who were naked. They provided them with clothes and sandals, food and drink, and healing balm. All those who were weak they put on donkeys. So they took them back to their fellow countrymen at Jericho, the City of Palms, and returned to Samaria.
  1. 그때 아하스왕이 앗시리아 왕에게 원병을 요청하였다.
  2. 이것은 에돔 사람들이 다시 유다를 침략하며 많은 사람들을 생포해 갔기 때문이었다.
  3. 또 이와 때를 같이하여 블레셋 사람도 저지대의 성들과 남쪽 네겝 지역의 성들을 침략하고 벧-세메스, 아얄론, 그데롯, 소고, 딤나, 김소, 그리고 이들 성들의 주변 부락들을 점령하여 거기서 살았다.
  4. 이와 같이 여호와께서는 아하스왕의 범죄로 유다를 형편없이 낮추셨다. 이것은 그가 유다 백성들에게 악을 조장하고 여호와께 신실하지 못했기 때문이었다.
  5. 앗시리아의 디글랏-빌레셀왕이 도착하였으나 그는 아하스왕을 돕기는커녕 오히려 그를 괴롭혔다.
  1. At that time King Ahaz sent to the king of Assyria for help.
  2. The Edomites had again come and attacked Judah and carried away prisoners,
  3. while the Philistines had raided towns in the foothills and in the Negev of Judah. They captured and occupied Beth Shemesh, Aijalon and Gederoth, as well as Soco, Timnah and Gimzo, with their surrounding villages.
  4. The LORD had humbled Judah because of Ahaz king of Israel, for he had promoted wickedness in Judah and had been most unfaithful to the LORD.
  5. Tiglath-Pileser king of Assyria came to him, but he gave him trouble instead of help.
  1. 그래서 아하스왕은 성전과 궁전과 장관들의 집에서 금은 보물을 가져와 그에게 주었지만 그것도 아무 소용이 없었다.
  2. 아하스왕은 그처럼 어려운 때에 더욱 여호와께 범죄하였다.
  3. 그는 자기를 친 다마스커스 신들에게 제사를 드리며 이 신들이 시리아 왕들을 도왔으므로 자기도 그 신들에게 제사하면 그들이 자기를 도울 것으로 생각하였다. 그러나 그 신들은 오히려 아하스와 그 백성이 패망한 원인이 되고 말았다.
  4. 이뿐 아니라 아하스왕은 성전 비품들을 모아 때려 부수고 성전 문을 못박아 거기서 아무도 예배드리지 못하도록 하였으며 예루살렘 곳곳에 이방 신들의 제단을 쌓고
  5. 또 유다의 각 성에도 산당을 세우고 다른 신들에게 분향하여 그 조상의 하나님 여호와를 더욱 노하게 하였다.
  1. Ahaz took some of the things from the temple of the LORD and from the royal palace and from the princes and presented them to the king of Assyria, but that did not help him.
  2. In his time of trouble King Ahaz became even more unfaithful to the LORD.
  3. He offered sacrifices to the gods of Damascus, who had defeated him; for he thought, "Since the gods of the kings of Aram have helped them, I will sacrifice to them so they will help me." But they were his downfall and the downfall of all Israel.
  4. Ahaz gathered together the furnishings from the temple of God and took them away. He shut the doors of the LORD's temple and set up altars at every street corner in Jerusalem.
  5. In every town in Judah he built high places to burn sacrifices to other gods and provoked the LORD, the God of his fathers, to anger.
  1. 그 밖에 아하스가 행한 모든 일은 유다와 이스라엘 왕들의 역사책에 자세히 기록되어 있다.
  2. 그는 죽어 예루살렘 성에 장사되었으나 유다 왕들의 묘에는 장사되지 못하였다. 아하스가 죽은 후에 그의 아들 히스기야가 왕위를 계승하였다.
  1. The other events of his reign and all his ways, from beginning to end, are written in the book of the kings of Judah and Israel.
  2. Ahaz rested with his fathers and was buried in the city of Jerusalem, but he was not placed in the tombs of the kings of Israel. And Hezekiah his son succeeded him as king.
