이사야

  주전 8세기 전반기에 앗수르의 세력이 날로 강해지는 상황에서 이사야는 이스라엘과 유다, 그리고 주변 국가들의 죄악상을 고발하고 그들에게 임할 하나님의 심판을 선포한다. 더 나아가 이사야는 바벨론의 멸망과 이스라엘의 회복, 그리고 그리스도의 수난과 메시아 왕국에까지 예언을 확대시키고 있다,

  1장부터 39장까지는 유다의 우상 숭배와 부도덕함, 사회 부정 고발, 열국들에게 다가올 심판과 메시아의 예언을 기록하고 있다. 40장부터 66장까지에는 하나님의 구속적 사랑을 통해 이스라엘과 열국 중에 의로운 남은 자들을 회복시키신다는 약속과 메시아를 통한 구원을 예언하고 있다.

 

 

이사야 1:1-2:22

 이사야는 유다와 예루살렘에 관한 이상을 보았는데, 그 이상 가운데 야웨께서 그를 따르지 않는 이스라엘을 책망하셨다고 하였다. 그러나 이스라엘 백성들의 심각한 죄에도 불구하고 하나님께로 돌이켜 순종하면 용서함을 받을 수 있지만, 거역하면 심판을 받게 될 것이라고 하였다.
  
  패역한 족속(1:1-1:31)    
 
  1. 이것은 웃시야와 요담과 아하스와 히스기야가 유다 왕이었을 당시 아모스의 아들 이사야가 유다와 예루살렘에 관해서 본 환상이다.
  2. 하늘이여, 들어라. 땅이여, 귀를 기울여라. 여호와께서 말씀하신다. '내가 기른 자식들이 나를 거역하였다.
  3. 소도 자기 주인을 알고 나귀도 자기 주인의 구유를 알건마는 이스라엘은 알지 못하고 내 백성은 깨닫지 못하는구나.'
  4. 슬프다 범죄한 나라여! 부패하고 악한 백성이여, 너희가 여호와를 저버리고 이스라엘의 거룩하신 하나님을 배신하였다.
  5. 너희가 벌을 더 받고 싶은가? 어째서 계속 거역하느냐? 너희 머리는 병들었고 마음은 약해졌으며
  1. The vision concerning Judah and Jerusalem that Isaiah son of Amoz saw during the reigns of Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz and Hezekiah, kings of Judah.
  2. Hear, O heavens! Listen, O earth! For the LORD has spoken: "I reared children and brought them up, but they have rebelled against me.
  3. The ox knows his master, the donkey his owner's manger, but Israel does not know, my people do not understand."
  4. Ah, sinful nation, a people loaded with guilt, a brood of evildoers, children given to corruption! They have forsaken the LORD; they have spurned the Holy One of Israel and turned their backs on him.
  5. Why should you be beaten anymore? Why do you persist in rebellion? Your whole head is injured, your whole heart afflicted.
  1. 발바닥에서 머리 끝까지 하나도 성한 곳이 없이 온통 상하고 터지고 맞은 자국뿐인데도 너희는 짜내고 약을 바르며 붕대를 감는 치료를 받지 못하였다.
  2. 너희 땅은 황폐하였고 너희 성들은 잿더미가 되었으며 외국 사람들이 너희가 지켜보는 데서 너희 토지를 빼앗아 황무지로 만들었고
  3. 겨우 예루살렘만 남아 포위를 당한 채 포도원이나 오이밭의 원두막처럼 되었다.
  4. 만일 전능하신 여호와께서 일부 생존자를 남겨 두지 않으셨더라면 우리는 소돔과 고모라처럼 되었을 것이다.
  5. 예루살렘아, 너희 관리와 백성들이 소돔과 고모라 사람들 같구나. 여호와께서 하시는 말씀을 들어라. 우리 하나님의 교훈에 귀를 기울여라.
  1. From the sole of your foot to the top of your head there is no soundness-- only wounds and welts and open sores, not cleansed or bandaged or soothed with oil.
  2. Your country is desolate, your cities burned with fire; your fields are being stripped by foreigners right before you, laid waste as when overthrown by strangers.
  3. The Daughter of Zion is left like a shelter in a vineyard, like a hut in a field of melons, like a city under siege.
  4. Unless the LORD Almighty had left us some survivors, we would have become like Sodom, we would have been like Gomorrah.
  5. Hear the word of the LORD, you rulers of Sodom; listen to the law of our God, you people of Gomorrah!
  1. '너희 수많은 제물이 나에게 무슨 소용이 있느냐? 나는 너희가 수양이나 짐승의 기름으로 드리는 제물에 이제 싫증이 났다. 나는 수송아지나 어린 양이나 수양의 피를 기뻐하지 않는다.
  2. 누가 너희에게 그런 것을 가져오라고 하였느냐? 너희는 내 마당만 밟을 뿐이다.
  3. 너희는 무가치한 제물을 더 이상 가져오지 말아라. 너희가 분향하는 것도 나는 싫어졌다. 너희가 초하루와 안식일과 그 밖의 명절을 지키고 종교적인 모임을 가지면서도 악을 행하는 것을 내가 차마 볼 수 없구나.
  4. 너희가 지키는 초하루와 그 밖에 지정된 명절을 내가 싫어하는 것은 그것이 오히려 나에게 짐이 되어 내가 감당하기에도 지쳤기 때문이다.
  5. 너희가 하늘을 향해 손을 들어도 내가 보지 않을 것이며 너희가 아무리 많이 기도할지라도 내가 듣지 않을 것이다. 너희 손에는 죄 없이 죽은 사람들의 피가 잔뜩 묻어 있다.
  1. "The multitude of your sacrifices-- what are they to me?" says the LORD. "I have more than enough of burnt offerings, of rams and the fat of fattened animals; I have no pleasure in the blood of bulls and lambs and goats.
  2. When you come to appear before me, who has asked this of you, this trampling of my courts?
  3. Stop bringing meaningless offerings! Your incense is detestable to me. New Moons, Sabbaths and convocations-- I cannot bear your evil assemblies.
  4. Your New Moon festivals and your appointed feasts my soul hates. They have become a burden to me; I am weary of bearing them.
  5. When you spread out your hands in prayer, I will hide my eyes from you; even if you offer many prayers, I will not listen. Your hands are full of blood;
  1. 너희는 자신을 씻어 깨끗이 하고 내 앞에서 너희 악을 버리고 죄된 생활을 청산하라.
  2. 선하게 사는 법을 배우고 정의를 추구하며 학대받는 자를 도와주고 고아를 보호하고 과부를 위해 변호하라.'
  3. 여호와께서 말씀하신다. '오너라. 우리 허심 탄회하게 이야기해 보자. 너희 죄가 주홍 같을지라도 눈과 같이 희게 될 것이며 진홍같이 붉을지라도 양털처럼 될 것이다.
  4. 너희가 기꺼이 순종하면 땅의 좋은 농산물을 먹을 것이지만
  5. 너희가 거역하고 불순종하면 칼날에 죽임을 당할 것이다. 이것은 나 여호와의 말이다.'
  1. wash and make yourselves clean. Take your evil deeds out of my sight! Stop doing wrong,
  2. learn to do right! Seek justice, encourage the oppressed. Defend the cause of the fatherless, plead the case of the widow.
  3. "Come now, let us reason together," says the LORD. "Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool.
  4. If you are willing and obedient, you will eat the best from the land;
  5. but if you resist and rebel, you will be devoured by the sword." For the mouth of the LORD has spoken.
  1. 신실하던 성이 어째서 창녀처럼 되었는가! 한때는 정의와 진리를 사랑하는 자들로 가득하더니 이제는 살인자들뿐이구나.
  2. 예루살렘아, 너는 한때 순은과 같았으나 이제는 쓸모없는 찌꺼기가 되었으며 전에는 좋은 포도주와 같았으나 이제는 그 포도주에 물이 섞였구나.
  3. 너의 지도자들은 반역자요, 도둑들과 한패이며 하나같이 뇌물과 선물받기를 좋아하고 고아와 과부의 억울한 문제를 해결해 주지 않는구나.
  4. 그러므로 너희는 전능하신 여호와, 능력 있는 이스라엘의 하나님이 하시는 말씀을 들어라. '내가 내 원수인 너희에게 복수할 것이니 너희가 더 이상 나를 괴롭히지 못할 것이다.
  5. 내가 너희를 용광로에 넣어 불순물을 제거하고 깨끗하게 할 것이며
  1. See how the faithful city has become a harlot! She once was full of justice; righteousness used to dwell in her-- but now murderers!
  2. Your silver has become dross, your choice wine is diluted with water.
  3. Your rulers are rebels, companions of thieves; they all love bribes and chase after gifts. They do not defend the cause of the fatherless; the widow's case does not come before them.
  4. Therefore the Lord, the LORD Almighty, the Mighty One of Israel, declares: "Ah, I will get relief from my foes and avenge myself on my enemies.
  5. I will turn my hand against you; I will thoroughly purge away your dross and remove all your impurities.
  1. 그 후에 내가 너희에게 이전처럼 지도자들과 지혜로운 조언자들을 줄 것이다. 그러면 예루살렘이 의롭고 신실한 성이라고 불려질 것이다.'
  2. 여호와는 의로우신 분이시므로 그는 예루살렘과 회개하고 돌아오는 모든 자들을 구원하실 것이다.
  3. 그러나 거역하고 범죄하는 자들은 다 패망하고 여호와를 저버리는 자도 망할 것이다.
  4. 너희는 상수리나무 아래와 동산에서 우상 섬기던 일로 부끄러움과 수치를 당하고
  5. 잎이 마른 상수리나무와 물 없는 동산과 같이 될 것이다.
  1. I will restore your judges as in days of old, your counselors as at the beginning. Afterward you will be called the City of Righteousness, the Faithful City."
  2. Zion will be redeemed with justice, her penitent ones with righteousness.
  3. But rebels and sinners will both be broken, and those who forsake the LORD will perish.
  4. "You will be ashamed because of the sacred oaks in which you have delighted; you will be disgraced because of the gardens that you have chosen.
  5. You will be like an oak with fading leaves, like a garden without water.
  1. 너희 중에 강한 자는 부싯깃과 같고 그의 행위는 불티와 같아서 함께 탈 것이나 끌 사람이 없을 것이다.
  1. The mighty man will become tinder and his work a spark; both will burn together, with no one to quench the fire."
 
  주께서 오실 날(2:1-2:22)    
 
  1. 이것은 유다와 예루살렘에 대하여 아모스의 아들 이사야가 하나님께 받은 말씀이다.
  2. 마지막 때에는 여호와의 성전이 있는 시온산이 세계에서 가장 유명한 산으로 알려질 것이며 수많은 민족들이 그리로 몰려들어
  3. 이렇게 말할 것이다. '자, 여호와의 산으로 올라가자. 이스라엘의 하나님이 계시는 성전으로 올라가자. 그가 우리에게 진리를 가르치실 것이며 우리는 그 진리대로 살 것이다.' 이것은 율법이 시온에서 나오고 여호와의 말씀이 예루살렘에서 나올 것이기 때문이다.
  4. 그가 모든 민족을 심판하고 국제 분쟁을 해결하실 것이니 사람들이 칼을 두들겨 보습을 만들고 창을 두들겨 낫을 만들 것이며 나라끼리 전쟁을 하거나 군사 훈련을 받는 일이 다시는 없을 것이다.
  5. 자, 야곱의 후손들아, 여호와의 빛 가운데 걸어가자.
  1. This is what Isaiah son of Amoz saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem:
  2. In the last days the mountain of the LORD's temple will be established as chief among the mountains; it will be raised above the hills, and all nations will stream to it.
  3. Many peoples will come and say, "Come, let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob. He will teach us his ways, so that we may walk in his paths." The law will go out from Zion, the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.
  4. He will judge between the nations and will settle disputes for many peoples. They will beat their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning hooks. Nation will not take up sword against nation, nor will they train for war anymore.
  5. Come, O house of Jacob, let us walk in the light of the LORD.
  1. 여호와께서 자기 백성인 야곱의 후손들을 버리신 것은 그들이 동방 사람들의 미신에 젖어 블레셋 사람들처럼 점치고 이방 사람들의 풍속을 따르기 때문이었다.
  2. 이스라엘에는 금은 보화가 가득하고 말과 전차도 얼마든지 있으며
  3. 우상도 많으므로 너희가 손으로 만든 것을 섬기고
  4. 모두 그 앞에 절하였다. 그러므로 하나님이 이 죄에 대하여 너희를 용서하지 않으실 것이다.
  5. 너희는 바위 틈이나 땅굴에 숨어 여호와의 분노와 그 위엄의 광채를 피하라.
  1. You have abandoned your people, the house of Jacob. They are full of superstitions from the East; they practice divination like the Philistines and clasp hands with pagans.
  2. Their land is full of silver and gold; there is no end to their treasures. Their land is full of horses; there is no end to their chariots.
  3. Their land is full of idols; they bow down to the work of their hands, to what their fingers have made.
  4. So man will be brought low and mankind humbled-- do not forgive them.
  5. Go into the rocks, hide in the ground from dread of the LORD and the splendor of his majesty!
  1. 교만한 자가 낮아지고 거만한 자의 콧대가 꺾이며 여호와께서만 높임을 받을 날이 오고 있다.
  2. 그 날에 전능하신 여호와께서 교만하고 거만하며 자만하는 자들을 모조리 낮추실 것이며
  3. 하늘 높이 치솟은 레바논의 백향목, 바산의 상수리나무,
  4. 높고 낮은 모든 산,
  5. 높은 망대와 성벽,
  1. The eyes of the arrogant man will be humbled and the pride of men brought low; the LORD alone will be exalted in that day.
  2. The LORD Almighty has a day in store for all the proud and lofty, for all that is exalted (and they will be humbled),
  3. for all the cedars of Lebanon, tall and lofty, and all the oaks of Bashan,
  4. for all the towering mountains and all the high hills,
  5. for every lofty tower and every fortified wall,
  1. 모든 무역선과 으리으리한 배들이 여호와의 진노를 피하지 못할 것이다.
  2. 그날에 교만하고 거만한 자들이 다 낮아지고 모든 우상도 사라질 것이며 여호와께서만 높임을 받으실 것이다.
  3. (17절과 같음)
  4. 여호와께서 일어나 땅을 진동시키실 때 사람들이 그의 영광과 위엄의 광채 때문에 무서워서 바위 동굴과 땅굴로 달아나 숨을 것이다.
  5. 그 날에 사람들은 자기들이 섬기려고 만든 금은 우상을 두더쥐와 박쥐에게 던지고
  1. for every trading ship and every stately vessel.
  2. The arrogance of man will be brought low and the pride of men humbled; the LORD alone will be exalted in that day,
  3. and the idols will totally disappear.
  4. Men will flee to caves in the rocks and to holes in the ground from dread of the LORD and the splendor of his majesty, when he rises to shake the earth.
  5. In that day men will throw away to the rodents and bats their idols of silver and idols of gold, which they made to worship.
  1. 동굴과 절벽 바위 틈에 들어가서 여호와의 무서운 진노를 피하려고 할 것이다.
  2. 너희는 보잘 것없는 사람을 의지하지 말아라. 숨결에 불과한 인간이 무슨 가치가 있느냐?
  1. They will flee to caverns in the rocks and to the overhanging crags from dread of the LORD and the splendor of his majesty, when he rises to shake the earth.
  2. Stop trusting in man, who has but a breath in his nostrils. Of what account is he?
