이사야 9:1-10:34

 이사야는 하나님의 구원 역사를 이루시는 메시아의 도래와 그로 인한 해방의 기쁨을 묘사하였다. 메시아로 탄생할 한 아들은 곧 하나님이시며 다윗 왕국을 영원히 다스리실 평강의 왕이라고 예언하였다. 그리고 하나님의 경고에도 불구하고 완악한 이스라엘은 앗수르에 의해 심판을 받지만, 결국 교만해진 앗수르는 멸망하게 되고 하나님만 의지하는 자들은 보호를 받을 것이라고 예언하였다.
  
  메시아의 탄생과 사역(9:1-9:21)    
 
  1. 그러나 고통하는 자들에게는 언제나 절망과 어두움이 계속되는 것은 아니다. 스불론 땅과 납달리 땅이 한때는 하나님의 멸시를 받았으나 앞으로는 지중해 동쪽 요단강 서편의 이방 사람들이 사는 갈릴리가 영화롭게 될 것이다.
  2. 흑암 가운데 걸어다니던 백성이 큰 빛을 보았고 죽음의 그늘진 땅에 사는 사람들에게 빛이 비치었다.
  3. 이스라엘은 다시 번영을 누리게 될 것이며 추수할 때와 약탈물을 나눌 때와 같은 즐거움이 이 땅에 넘치리라.
  4. 하나님이 자기 백성을 묶고 있는 사슬과 그들을 치는 채찍을 꺾어 버리시고 옛날 미디안 군대를 쳐부수신 것처럼 그들을 괴롭히고 착취하는 나라를 쳐부수실 것이다.
  5. 그 영광스러운 평화의 날에는 전쟁터에서 사용된 모든 군화와 피 묻은 군복이 불에 소각될 것이다.
  1. Nevertheless, there will be no more gloom for those who were in distress. In the past he humbled the land of Zebulun and the land of Naphtali, but in the future he will honor Galilee of the Gentiles, by the way of the sea, along the Jordan-
  2. The people walking in darkness have seen a great light; on those living in the land of the shadow of death a light has dawned.
  3. You have enlarged the nation and increased their joy; they rejoice before you as people rejoice at the harvest, as men rejoice when dividing the plunder.
  4. For as in the day of Midian's defeat, you have shattered the yoke that burdens them, the bar across their shoulders, the rod of their oppressor.
  5. Every warrior's boot used in battle and every garment rolled in blood will be destined for burning, will be fuel for the fire.
  1. 한 아기가 태어났으니 우리에게 주신 아들이다. 그가 우리의 통치자가 되실 것이니 그 이름은 '위대한 스승', '전능하신 하나님', '영원히 계시는 아버지', '평화의 왕'이라 하리라.
  2. 그의 왕권은 한없이 신장되고 그의 나라는 언제나 평화로울 것이며 그가 다윗의 왕위에 앉아 그 나라를 굳게 세우고 공정함과 의로움으로 영원히 다스리실 것이다. 전능하신 여호와의 열심이 이것을 이루리라.
  3. 여호와께서 이스라엘, 곧 야곱의 후손들에게 심판을 선언하셨다.
  4. 에브라임과 사마리아에 사는 사람들과 이스라엘의 모든 사람들이 이것을 알 것이다. 이제 그들은 교만하고 거만하니 이렇게 말하고 있다.
  5. '벽돌이 무너졌으나 우리는 다듬은 돌로 다시 쌓을 것이며 뽕나무가 찍혔으나 우리는 백향목으로 그것을 대체하겠다.'
  1. For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
  2. Of the increase of his government and peace there will be no end. He will reign on David's throne and over his kingdom, establishing and upholding it with justice and righteousness from that time on and forever. The zeal of the LORD Almighty will accomplish this.
  3. The Lord has sent a message against Jacob; it will fall on Israel.
  4. All the people will know it-- Ephraim and the inhabitants of Samaria-- who say with pride and arrogance of heart,
  5. "The bricks have fallen down, but we will rebuild with dressed stone; the fig trees have been felled, but we will replace them with cedars."
  1. 그러므로 여호와께서 그들의 대적을 일으켜 그들을 치게 하셨으니
  2. 동쪽으로는 시리아 사람이며 서쪽으로는 블레셋 사람이다. 그들이 입을 벌려 이스라엘을 삼키려고 하는데도 여호와의 분노는 그치지 않고 그의 손은 펴진 채 그대로 있다.
  3. 이 백성이 벌을 받고서도 뉘우치고 돌아와 전능하신 여호와를 찾지 않는구나.
  4. 그러므로 여호와께서 단 하루만에 이스라엘의 지도자들과 백성, 그리고 거짓말하는 예언자들을 쳐서 벌하실 것이다.
  5. (14절과 같음)
  1. But the LORD has strengthened Rezin's foes against them and has spurred their enemies on.
  2. Arameans from the east and Philistines from the west have devoured Israel with open mouth. Yet for all this, his anger is not turned away, his hand is still upraised.
  3. But the people have not returned to him who struck them, nor have they sought the LORD Almighty.
  4. So the LORD will cut off from Israel both head and tail, both palm branch and reed in a single day;
  5. the elders and prominent men are the head, the prophets who teach lies are the tail.
  1. 지도자들이 이 백성을 파멸의 길로 이끌어가고 있다.
  2. 이 백성들이 불경스럽고 악하며 더러운 말을 함부로 지껄여대므로 여호와께서 젊은 사람들을 기뻐하지 않으시고 고아와 과부를 불쌍히 여기지 않으실 것이다. 그래도 여호와의 분노가 그치지 않을 것이며 그의 손은 펴진 채 그대로 있을 것이다.
  3. 이 백성의 악은 가시와 엉겅퀴를 태우는 불과 같아서 연기가 치솟는 산불처럼 타오르고 있다.
  4. 전능하신 여호와의 분노로 이 땅이 새까맣게 타 버릴 것이며 백성들은 그 불의 연료가 될 것이다. 사람들이 자기 형제도 몰라보고 서로 아귀다툼을 하며 음식을 빼앗아 먹어도 굶주림을 채우지 못하여 결국 자기 자식까지 먹게 될 것이다.
  5. (19절과 같음)
  1. Those who guide this people mislead them, and those who are guided are led astray.
  2. Therefore the Lord will take no pleasure in the young men, nor will he pity the fatherless and widows, for everyone is ungodly and wicked, every mouth speaks vileness. Yet for all this, his anger is not turned away, his hand is still upraised.
  3. Surely wickedness burns like a fire; it consumes briers and thorns, it sets the forest thickets ablaze, so that it rolls upward in a column of smoke.
  4. By the wrath of the LORD Almighty the land will be scorched and the people will be fuel for the fire; no one will spare his brother.
  5. On the right they will devour, but still be hungry; on the left they will eat, but not be satisfied. Each will feed on the flesh of his own offspring :
  1. 므낫세가 에브라임을 치고 에브라임이 므낫세를 칠 것이며 그 두 지파가 합세하여 유다를 칠 것이다. 그래도 여호와의 분노가 그치지 않을 것이며 그의 손은 펴진 채 그대로 있을 것이다.
  1. Manasseh will feed on Ephraim, and Ephraim on Manasseh; together they will turn against Judah. Yet for all this, his anger is not turned away, his hand is still upraised.
 
  앗수르의 심판(10:1-10:34)    
 
  1. 악법을 만들어 내고 부정한 판결을 내리며
  2. 가난한 자의 권리를 박탈하여 정당한 재판을 받을 수 없게 하며 과부나 고아의 것을 약탈하는 자에게 화가 있을 것이다.
  3. 하나님이 너희를 벌하시고 먼 나라에서 재난이 밀어 닥칠 때 너희는 어떻게 하겠느냐? 너희가 누구에게 도움을 구하며 너희 재물을 어디에 감추어 두겠느냐?
  4. 전쟁에서 죽거나 포로로 끌려 갈 뿐이다. 그래도 여호와의 분노가 그치지 않을 것이며 그의 손은 펴진 채 그대로 있을 것이다.
  5. 여호와께서 말씀하셨다. '앗시리아는 내 분노의 막대기이며 그 군사력은 이 백성을 벌할 나의 무기이다.
  1. Woe to those who make unjust laws, to those who issue oppressive decrees,
  2. to deprive the poor of their rights and withhold justice from the oppressed of my people, making widows their prey and robbing the fatherless.
  3. What will you do on the day of reckoning, when disaster comes from afar? To whom will you run for help? Where will you leave your riches?
  4. Nothing will remain but to cringe among the captives or fall among the slain. Yet for all this, his anger is not turned away, his hand is still upraised.
  5. "Woe to the Assyrian, the rod of my anger, in whose hand is the club of my wrath!
  1. 내가 그를 보내 나를 노하게 한 나라를 치고 그 백성을 약탈하며 거리의 먼지처럼 짓밟아 버리려고 하였다.
  2. 그러나 앗시리아 황제는 내 뜻을 알지 못하고 다른 생각을 가지고 세계를 정복할 계획을 세우며
  3. 이렇게 말하고 있다. '나의 사령관들은 모두 왕이 아니냐?
  4. 나는 이미 갈로와 갈그미스, 하맛과 아르밧, 그리고 사마리아와 다마스커스를 정복하였다.
  5. 내 손길이 우상을 섬기는 나라에 이미 뻗쳤으며 그 우상들은 예루살렘과 사마리아 우상들보다도 월등하게 낫다.
  1. I send him against a godless nation, I dispatch him against a people who anger me, to seize loot and snatch plunder, and to trample them down like mud in the streets.
  2. But this is not what he intends, this is not what he has in mind; his purpose is to destroy, to put an end to many nations.
  3. 'Are not my commanders all kings?' he says.
  4. 'Has not Calno fared like Carchemish? Is not Hamath like Arpad, and Samaria like Damascus?
  5. As my hand seized the kingdoms of the idols, kingdoms whose images excelled those of Jerusalem and Samaria-
  1. 내가 사마리아와 그 우상들을 파괴했는데 예루살렘과 그 우상들은 파괴하지 못하겠느냐?'
  2. 그러므로 내가 시온산과 예루살렘에서 하고 있는 일을 다 마치면 앗시리아 황제의 교만과 자랑에 대하여 그를 벌할 것이다.
  3. 그는 이렇게 자랑하고 있다. '나는 내 힘과 지혜로 이 모든 일을 수행하였다. 나는 총명한 자이므로 여러 나라의 국경을 없애 버렸으며 그들의 재물을 약탈하고 그들의 왕들을 쳐서 복종시켰다.
  4. 내가 세상 나라들을 얻은 것이 새의 보금자리를 얻은 것 같아서 버려진 새알을 줍듯이 그들의 재물을 주워 모았으나 손짓을 하거나 입을 벌려 말 한마디 하는 자가 없었다.'
  5. 그러나 여호와께서는 이렇게 말씀하신다. '도끼가 그것을 휘두르는 사람보다 낫다고 자랑할 수 있겠느냐? 톱이 톱질하는 사람에게 잘난 척할 수 있느냐? 이것은 막대기가 자기를 드는 자를 치려 하며 몽둥이가 나무 아닌 사람을 휘두르려는 것과 같다.'
  1. shall I not deal with Jerusalem and her images as I dealt with Samaria and her idols?' "
  2. When the Lord has finished all his work against Mount Zion and Jerusalem, he will say, "I will punish the king of Assyria for the willful pride of his heart and the haughty look in his eyes.
  3. For he says: " 'By the strength of my hand I have done this, and by my wisdom, because I have understanding. I removed the boundaries of nations, I plundered their treasures; like a mighty one I subdued their kings.
  4. As one reaches into a nest, so my hand reached for the wealth of the nations; as men gather abandoned eggs, so I gathered all the countries; not one flapped a wing, or opened its mouth to chirp.' "
  5. Does the ax raise itself above him who swings it, or the saw boast against him who uses it? As if a rod were to wield him who lifts it up, or a club brandish him who is not wood!
  1. 그러므로 전능하신 여호와께서 교만한 앗시리아군에게 전염병을 보내 벌하실 것이니 그들의 모든 영화가 불에 소멸될 것이다.
  2. 이스라엘의 빛이 되시는 거룩하신 하나님은 불꽃과 같아서 단 하루 만에 가시와 엉겅퀴 같은 앗시리아군을 소멸하실 것이다.
  3. 아무리 앗시리아군이 막강하고 그 수가 많을지라도 그들은 병든 사람이 죽어 가듯이 전부 소멸될 것이며
  4. 혹시 살아 남는 자가 있다고 해도 그 수가 너무 적어서 아이라도 셀 수 있을 것이다.
  5. 그제서야 비로소 살아 남은 이스라엘 사람들이 더 이상 앗시리아군을 의지하지 않고 이스라엘의 거룩하신 하나님 여호와를 진심으로 신뢰할 것이다.
  1. Therefore, the Lord, the LORD Almighty, will send a wasting disease upon his sturdy warriors; under his pomp a fire will be kindled like a blazing flame.
  2. The Light of Israel will become a fire, their Holy One a flame; in a single day it will burn and consume his thorns and his briers.
  3. The splendor of his forests and fertile fields it will completely destroy, as when a sick man wastes away.
  4. And the remaining trees of his forests will be so few that a child could write them down.
  5. In that day the remnant of Israel, the survivors of the house of Jacob, will no longer rely on him who struck them down but will truly rely on the LORD, the Holy One of Israel.
  1. 이스라엘 백성의 수가 바다의 모래알처럼 많을지라도 남은 사람만 전능하신 하나님에게 돌아올 것이다. 그들에 대한 정당한 파멸이 선언되었으니
  2. (21절과 같음)
  3. 전능하신 주 여호와께서 이미 작정하신 대로 반드시 실행하실 것이다.
  4. 그러므로 전능하신 주 여호와께서 말씀하신다. '시온에 사는 내 백성들아, 앗시리아 사람들이 이집트 사람들을 본 받아 막대기로 너희를 때리고 몽둥이를 들어 너희를 칠지라도 그들을 두려워하지 말아라.
  5. 내가 곧 너희에 대한 분노를 그치고 그 분노로 앗시리아 사람을 벌할 것이다.
  1. A remnant will return, a remnant of Jacob will return to the Mighty God.
  2. Though your people, O Israel, be like the sand by the sea, only a remnant will return. Destruction has been decreed, overwhelming and righteous.
  3. The Lord, the LORD Almighty, will carry out the destruction decreed upon the whole land.
  4. Therefore, this is what the Lord, the LORD Almighty, says: "O my people who live in Zion, do not be afraid of the Assyrians, who beat you with a rod and lift up a club against you, as Egypt did.
  5. Very soon my anger against you will end and my wrath will be directed to their destruction."
  1. 전능한 나 여호와가 오렙 바위에서 미디안 사람을 쳐죽인 것처럼 그들을 칠 것이며 이집트를 벌한 것처럼 앗시리아를 벌할 것이다.
  2. 그 날에 내가 앗시리아의 압박에서 너희를 풀어 주겠다. 그들이 너희에게 지워 준 멍에가 부러져 더 이상 너희에게 짐이 되지 않을 것이다.'
  3. 앗시리아 왕이 아얏성을 점령하고 미그론을 지나 일부 장비를 믹마스에 두고
  4. 고개를 넘어 지금 게바에서 밤을 보내고 있으니 라마에 있는 사람들이 떨고 사울의 고향인 기브아 사람들은 달아나는구나.
  5. 갈림 사람들아, 큰 소리로 외쳐라! 라이사 사람들아, 들어라! 아나돗 사람들아, 너희 신세가 가련하구나!
  1. The LORD Almighty will lash them with a whip, as when he struck down Midian at the rock of Oreb; and he will raise his staff over the waters, as he did in Egypt.
  2. In that day their burden will be lifted from your shoulders, their yoke from your neck; the yoke will be broken because you have grown so fat.
  3. They enter Aiath; they pass through Migron; they store supplies at Micmash.
  4. They go over the pass, and say, "We will camp overnight at Geba." Ramah trembles; Gibeah of Saul flees.
  5. Cry out, O Daughter of Gallim! Listen, O Laishah! Poor Anathoth!
  1. 맛메나 사람들과 게빔 사람들이 살려고 달아나고 있으나
  2. 원수들은 이 날 놉에 머물다가 시온산인 예루살렘을 향하여 그들의 주먹을 휘두를 것이다.
  3. 전능하신 여호와께서 나뭇가지를 치듯이 그들을 쳐서 멸망시키실 것이니 교만한 그의 모든 대군이 다 쓰러질 것이며
  4. 전능하신 여호와의 도끼가 레바논의 빽빽한 숲과 같은 그들을 찍어 버릴 것이다.
  1. Madmenah is in flight; the people of Gebim take cover.
  2. This day they will halt at Nob; they will shake their fist at the mount of the Daughter of Zion, at the hill of Jerusalem.
  3. See, the Lord, the LORD Almighty, will lop off the boughs with great power. The lofty trees will be felled, the tall ones will be brought low.
  4. He will cut down the forest thickets with an ax; Lebanon will fall before the Mighty One.
