이사야 14:1-16:14

 이사야는 하나님께서 이스라엘을 다시 택하셔서 압제하던 자들을 주관하게 하실 것이며, 안식의 날에 악행을 행하던 바벨론, 앗수르, 블레셋, 모압이 멸망받을 것이라고 예언하였다.
  
  이스라엘의 회복(14:1-14:32)    
 
  1. 여호와께서 이스라엘을 불쌍히 여기시고 다시 그들을 자기 백성으로 택하여 본래의 그들 땅에 살게 하실 것이며 외국 사람들도 그들과 함께 그 곳에 가서 살 것이다.
  2. 많은 나라가 이스라엘 사람들이 본국으로 돌아가는 것을 도울 것이며 그들의 땅에 살려고 온 자들은 이스라엘 사람의 종이 되어 그들을 섬기고 한때 이스라엘을 정복한 자들이 이스라엘에게 정복당할 것이며 이스라엘은 한때 자기들을 괴롭히던 자들을 다스릴 것이다.
  3. 여호와께서 자기 백성을 슬픔과 고통과 고역에서 해방시켜 안식을 주실 것이다.
  4. 그때 그들은 바빌론 왕을 조롱하며 이렇게 말할 것이다. '잔인한 왕이 쓰러졌구나. 네가 더 이상 아무도 괴롭히지 못할 것이다.
  5. 여호와께서 악한 통치자의 권력을 꺾어 버리셨다.
  1. The LORD will have compassion on Jacob; once again he will choose Israel and will settle them in their own land. Aliens will join them and unite with the house of Jacob.
  2. Nations will take them and bring them to their own place. And the house of Israel will possess the nations as menservants and maidservants in the LORD's land. They will make captives of their captors and rule over their oppressors.
  3. On the day the LORD gives you relief from suffering and turmoil and cruel bondage,
  4. you will take up this taunt against the king of Babylon: How the oppressor has come to an end! How his fury has ended!
  5. The LORD has broken the rod of the wicked, the scepter of the rulers,
  1. 네가 분노하여 여러 민족을 쳐서 괴롭히고 그들을 무자비하게 억압하여도 막을 자가 없었으나
  2. 이제는 온 세상이 평온을 되찾아 모든 사람이 기뻐서 노래하는구나.
  3. 전나무와 레바논의 백향목까지도 네가 망한 것을 보고 기뻐하며 '네가 쓰러졌으니 올라와서 우리를 벨 자가 없다.' 하는구나.
  4. 지옥의 거주자들이 너를 맞을 준비를 하느라고 야단들이다. 오래 전에 죽은 세상의 영웅들과 왕들이 다 일어서서
  5. 너를 보고 입을 모아 '너도 별 수 없이 우리처럼 연약하게 되었구나.' 하고 외칠 것이다.
  1. which in anger struck down peoples with unceasing blows, and in fury subdued nations with relentless aggression.
  2. All the lands are at rest and at peace; they break into singing.
  3. Even the pine trees and the cedars of Lebanon exult over you and say, "Now that you have been laid low, no woodsman comes to cut us down."
  4. The grave below is all astir to meet you at your coming; it rouses the spirits of the departed to greet you-- all those who were leaders in the world; it makes them rise from their thrones-- all those who were kings over the nations.
  5. They will all respond, they will say to you, "You also have become weak, as we are; you have become like us."
  1. 흥겨운 음악으로 인생을 즐기던 네 영화도 끝나고 이제는 네가 구더기를 깔고 지렁이를 담요처럼 덮게 되었구나.'
  2. 샛별과 같은 바빌론 왕아, 네가 하늘에서 떨어졌구나. 한때는 네가 여러 나라를 정복하더니 이제는 어째서 땅에 던져졌느냐?
  3. 너는 속으로 이런 말을 하였다. '내가 하늘에 올라가 하나님의 별들 위에 내 보좌를 높이리라. 내가 북극 집회 산에 앉을 것이며
  4. 가장 높은 구름 위에 올라 제일 높은 자와 같이 될 것이다.'
  5. 그러나 너는 지옥의 가장 깊은 구덩이에 빠질 것이며
  1. All your pomp has been brought down to the grave, along with the noise of your harps; maggots are spread out beneath you and worms cover you.
  2. How you have fallen from heaven, O morning star, son of the dawn! You have been cast down to the earth, you who once laid low the nations!
  3. You said in your heart, "I will ascend to heaven; I will raise my throne above the stars of God; I will sit enthroned on the mount of assembly, on the utmost heights of the sacred mountain.
  4. I will ascend above the tops of the clouds; I will make myself like the Most High."
  5. But you are brought down to the grave, to the depths of the pit.
  1. 그 곳에 있는 자들이 너를 자세히 보고 이렇게 말할 것이다. '이 사람이 천하를 뒤흔들며 세상 나라들을 벌벌 떨게 하던 자가 아니냐?
  2. 이 사람이 수많은 도시를 파괴하며 온 세상을 황무지로 만들고 포로들을 자기 나라로 돌려보내지 않던 자가 아니냐?'
  3. 그래도 세상의 모든 왕들은 의젓하게 자기 무덤에 누워 있으나
  4. 너는 무덤이 없어 네 시체는 쓸모없는 나뭇가지처럼 던져져 전쟁으로 죽은 군인들의 시체로 덮일 것이니 길바닥에서 짓밟히는 시체와 다를 바 없을 것이다.
  5. 네가 네 나라를 파멸시키고 네 백성을 죽였으므로 너는 다른 왕들처럼 장사되지 못할 것이며 너처럼 악을 행하는 자의 후손은 기억에서 영원히 사라질 것이다.
  1. Those who see you stare at you, they ponder your fate: "Is this the man who shook the earth and made kingdoms tremble,
  2. the man who made the world a desert, who overthrew its cities and would not let his captives go home?"
  3. All the kings of the nations lie in state, each in his own tomb.
  4. But you are cast out of your tomb like a rejected branch; you are covered with the slain, with those pierced by the sword, those who descend to the stones of the pit. Like a corpse trampled underfoot,
  5. you will not join them in burial, for you have destroyed your land and killed your people. The offspring of the wicked will never be mentioned again.
  1. 너희는 이 악한 왕의 아들들을 학살하여 그들이 다시 일어나 세상 나라들을 정복하며 도시들을 재건하지 못하게 하라.
  2. 전능하신 여호와께서 말씀하신다. '내가 바빌론을 쳐서 파멸시키고 그 이름은 물론 지금 살아 있는 생존자들과 그들의 자손들과 그 후손들까지 모조리 없애 버릴 것이다.
  3. 내가 또 바벨론을 늪이 많고 들짐승이 우글거리는 황폐한 땅으로 만들며 멸망의 빗자루로 그 땅을 쓸어 버릴 것이다. 이것은 전능한 나 여호와의 말이다.'
  4. 전능하신 여호와께서 맹세하시며 이렇게 말씀하셨다. '내가 계획한 것은 반드시 이루어질 것이며 내가 하기로 마음 먹은 것은 반드시 실행될 것이다.
  5. 내가 이스라엘 땅에서 앗시리아 사람을 파멸시키고 그들을 나의 산에서 짓밟을 것이며 내 백성을 앗시리아의 멍에와 그들의 무거운 짐에서 벗어나게 할 것이다.
  1. Prepare a place to slaughter his sons for the sins of their forefathers; they are not to rise to inherit the land and cover the earth with their cities.
  2. "I will rise up against them," declares the LORD Almighty. "I will cut off from Babylon her name and survivors, her offspring and descendants," declares the LORD.
  3. "I will turn her into a place for owls and into swampland; I will sweep her with the broom of destruction," declares the LORD Almighty.
  4. The LORD Almighty has sworn, "Surely, as I have planned, so it will be, and as I have purposed, so it will stand.
  5. I will crush the Assyrian in my land; on my mountains I will trample him down. His yoke will be taken from my people, and his burden removed from their shoulders."
  1. 이것이 온 세계에 대한 내 계획이니 내가 손을 펴서 세상 나라들을 벌할 것이다.'
  2. 전능하신 여호와께서 이렇게 하시기로 작정하셨으니 누가 그 계획을 좌절시킬 수 있겠는가? 그가 벌하시려고 손을 펴셨으니 누가 그것을 막을 수 있겠는가?
  3. 이것은 아하스왕이 죽던 해에 내가 받은 말씀이다.
  4. 블레셋 사람들아, 너희를 치던 막대기가 부러졌다고 기뻐하지 말아라. 뱀이 죽어도 그보다 더 무서운 독사가 있고 독사보다도 더 무서운 날아 다니는 불뱀이 있다.
  5. 여호와께서는 자기 백성의 가난한 자들에게 목자가 되셔서 그들을 안전하게 살게 하실 것이지만 너희 블레셋 사람들에게는 무서운 흉년이 들게 하여 살아 남는 자가 없게 하실 것이다.
  1. This is the plan determined for the whole world; this is the hand stretched out over all nations.
  2. For the LORD Almighty has purposed, and who can thwart him? His hand is stretched out, and who can turn it back?
  3. This oracle came in the year King Ahaz died:
  4. Do not rejoice, all you Philistines, that the rod that struck you is broken; from the root of that snake will spring up a viper, its fruit will be a darting, venomous serpent.
  5. The poorest of the poor will find pasture, and the needy will lie down in safety. But your root I will destroy by famine; it will slay your survivors.
  1. 블레셋 성들아, 통곡하라! 너희는 다 망하게 되었다. 잘 훈련된 군인들이 북쪽에서 구름떼처럼 몰려오고 있다.
  2. 우리가 블레셋 사신들에게 어떻게 대답하면 좋을까? 우리는 그들에게 여호와께서 시온을 세우시고 고통당하는 자기 백성이 거기서 피난처를 찾게 하실 것이라고 말하겠다.
  1. Wail, O gate! Howl, O city! Melt away, all you Philistines! A cloud of smoke comes from the north, and there is not a straggler in its ranks.
  2. What answer shall be given to the envoys of that nation? "The LORD has established Zion, and in her his afflicted people will find refuge."
 
  모압에 대한 경고(15:1-16:14)    
 
  1. 이것은 모압에 대한 말씀이다. 하룻밤에 모압의 아르성과 길성이 망하여 황폐할 것이다.
  2. 디본 사람들이 그들의 산당에 올라가 슬피 울며 모압 사람들이 느보와 메드바성의 운명에 대하여 통곡하는구나. 그들은 슬퍼서 자기들의 머리를 밀고 수염을 깎았으며
  3. 거리에서는 사람들이 굵은 삼베를 걸치고 다니며 옥상과 광장에서는 통곡하고 슬퍼하는 소리가 들려오고 있다.
  4. 헤스본과 엘르알레 사람들의 부르짖는 소리가 멀리 야하스까지 들리므로 모압의 가장 용감한 군인들까지도 두려워 떨며 낙심하고 있다.
  5. 모압을 생각하니 내 마음이 슬퍼지는구나. 그 백성들은 소알과 에글랏-슬리시야로 도망하고 루힛 비탈길로 올라가며 슬피 울고, 호로나임으로 가는 길에서 그들의 멸망을 탄식하고 있다.
  1. An oracle concerning Moab: Ar in Moab is ruined, destroyed in a night! Kir in Moab is ruined, destroyed in a night!
  2. Dibon goes up to its temple, to its high places to weep; Moab wails over Nebo and Medeba. Every head is shaved and every beard cut off.
  3. In the streets they wear sackcloth; on the roofs and in the public squares they all wail, prostrate with weeping.
  4. Heshbon and Elealeh cry out, their voices are heard all the way to Jahaz. Therefore the armed men of Moab cry out, and their hearts are faint.
  5. My heart cries out over Moab; her fugitives flee as far as Zoar, as far as Eglath Shelishiyah. They go up the way to Luhith, weeping as they go; on the road to Horonaim they lament their destruction.
  1. 니므림 시냇물이 마르고 그 시냇가의 풀이 시들어 푸른 것이 없어졌구나.
  2. 그래서 사람들이 짐을 꾸려 가지고 버드나무 시내를 건너가고 있다.
  3. 모압의 온 땅에 통곡 소리가 메아리치고 슬피 부르짖는 소리가 에글라임과 브엘-엘림에까지 들리며
  4. 디본 시내는 피로 붉게 물들었다. 그래도 하나님은 디본의 재앙을 더 내리실 것이다. 모압 피난민들과 그 땅에 남아 있는 사람들에게 피비린내 나는 살육이 있을 것이다.
  1. The waters of Nimrim are dried up and the grass is withered; the vegetation is gone and nothing green is left.
  2. So the wealth they have acquired and stored up they carry away over the Ravine of the Poplars.
  3. Their outcry echoes along the border of Moab; their wailing reaches as far as Eglaim, their lamentation as far as Beer Elim.
  4. Dimon's waters are full of blood, but I will bring still more upon Dimon -- a lion upon the fugitives of Moab and upon those who remain in the land.
 
 
  1. 모압 피난민들은 셀라에서 유다왕에게 양들을 선물로 보내고
  2. 아르논 강변에서 기다리며 보금자리에서 쫓겨난 새처럼 목적 없이 왔다갔다하는구나.
  3. 그들이 유다 사람들에게 말한다. '우리가 어떻게 했으면 좋을지 가르쳐 주시오. 우리는 도망쳐 나온 피난민들입니다. 우리를 숨겨 보호해 주시고 사람들의 눈에 발각되지 않게 해 주십시오.
  4. 우리를 당신들의 땅에 머물게 해 주시고 우리를 죽이려고 하는 자들에게서 우리를 지켜 주십시오.' 탄압과 파멸이 그치고 침략자가 이 땅에서 사라질 것이며
  5. 한 왕위가 사랑으로 곧게 서고 다윗의 후손 중 하나가 왕위에 앉아 백성을 성실하게 다스릴 것이며 옳은 일을 신속히 수행하고 정의를 실현시킬 것이다.
  1. Send lambs as tribute to the ruler of the land, from Sela, across the desert, to the mount of the Daughter of Zion.
  2. Like fluttering birds pushed from the nest, so are the women of Moab at the fords of the Arnon.
  3. "Give us counsel, render a decision. Make your shadow like night-- at high noon. Hide the fugitives, do not betray the refugees.
  4. Let the Moabite fugitives stay with you; be their shelter from the destroyer." The oppressor will come to an end, and destruction will cease; the aggressor will vanish from the land.
  5. In love a throne will be established; in faithfulness a man will sit on it-- one from the house of David-- one who in judging seeks justice and speeds the cause of righteousness.
  1. 모압은 우리가 들은 소문대로 정말 교만하고 거만하구나. 그러나 아무리 모압이 잘난 척해도 그 교만은 헛된 것이다.
  2. 모압 사람들은 자기들이 당하는 고통 때문에 통곡할 것이며 길-하레셋에서 먹던 건포도빵을 생각하고 탄식하며 슬퍼할 것이다.
  3. 헤스본의 밭이 메마르고 십마의 포도나무가 말랐구나. 한때는 그 가지가 야셀에까지 뻗어 광야에 이르고 그 싹이 자라서 바다를 건넜는데 이제 적국의 통치자들이 그 좋은 가지를 꺾어 버렸구나.
  4. 그래서 내가 야셀을 위해 울듯이 십마의 포도나무를 생각하고 울리라. 헤스본아, 엘르알레야, 너희 여름 과실과 농작물이 못쓰게 되었으니 내가 눈물로 너희를 적시리라.
  5. 비옥한 땅에서 기뻐하고 즐거워하는 사람이 없을 것이며 포도원에서 기쁨으로 외치며 노래하는 소리가 없고 포도즙틀에서 포도를 밟을 사람이 없을 것이며 모든 즐거움 소리가 그칠 것이다.
  1. We have heard of Moab's pride-- her overweening pride and conceit, her pride and her insolence-- but her boasts are empty.
  2. Therefore the Moabites wail, they wail together for Moab. Lament and grieve for the men of Kir Hareseth.
  3. The fields of Heshbon wither, the vines of Sibmah also. The rulers of the nations have trampled down the choicest vines, which once reached Jazer and spread toward the desert. Their shoots spread out and went as far as the sea.
  4. So I weep, as Jazer weeps, for the vines of Sibmah. O Heshbon, O Elealeh, I drench you with tears! The shouts of joy over your ripened fruit and over your harvests have been stilled.
  5. Joy and gladness are taken away from the orchards; no one sings or shouts in the vineyards; no one treads out wine at the presses, for I have put an end to the shouting.
  1. 모압과 길-하레셋을 생각하니 내 마음이 슬퍼 창자가 끊어지는 것 같구나.
  2. 모압 사람들이 자기들의 신전에서 지칠 때까지 부르짖고 기도하여도 아무 소용이 없을 것이다.
  3. 모압에 대한 이 모든 것은 전에 여호와께서 이미 말씀하신 것이다.
  4. 그러나 여호와께서 다시 이렇게 말씀하신다. '3년 내에 모압의 모든 영화가 사라지고 수많은 사람들이 죽임을 당하며 힘없는 소수의 사람들만이 살아 남게 될 것이다.'
  1. My heart laments for Moab like a harp, my inmost being for Kir Hareseth.
  2. When Moab appears at her high place, she only wears herself out; when she goes to her shrine to pray, it is to no avail.
  3. This is the word the LORD has already spoken concerning Moab.
  4. But now the LORD says: "Within three years, as a servant bound by contract would count them, Moab's splendor and all her many people will be despised, and her survivors will be very few and feeble."
