- (다윗이 자기 아들 압살롬을 피할 때 지은 시) 여호와여, 나의 원수가 어찌 이렇게도 많습니까? 나를 대적하는 자가 너무나 많습니다.
- 그래서 많은 사람들이 하나님은 나를 돕지 않을 것이라고 말합니다.
- 그러나 여호와여, 주는 나의 방패시요 나의 영광이시며 나의 머리를 드시는 분이십니다.
- 내가 여호와께 부르짖으니 그가 거룩한 산에서 응답하시는구나.
- 내가 잘 자고 다시 깨었으니 밤새도록 여호와께서 지켜 주셨음이라.

- Lord, how are they increased that trouble me! many are they that rise up against me.
- Many there be which say of my soul, There is no help for him in God. Selah.
- But thou, O LORD, art a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter up of mine head.

- 수천만의 대적이 나를 포위할지라도 내가 두려워하지 않으리라.
- 여호와여, 일어나소서! 나의 하나님이시여, 나를 구하소서! 주께서는 내 원수들의 뺨을 치시며 그들의 이빨을 꺾어 놓지 않으셨습니까?
- 구원은 여호와께서 주시는 것입니다. 주의 백성에게 주의 복을 내리소서.
