- (다윗의 시) 여호와는 나의 빛, 나의 구원이시니 내가 누구를 두려워하리요? 여호와는 내 생명의 피난처이신데 내가 누구를 무서워하리요?
- 악한 내 원수들이 나를 치러 올지라도 발이 걸려 넘어지리라.
- 강한 군대가 나를 포위하고 진격해 올지라도 내가 두려워하지 않을 것이며 전쟁이 일어나 적군이 나를 칠지라도 내가 여전히 하나님을 의지하리라.
- 내가 여호와께 간청한 한 가지 일을 구하리니 내가 평생 여호와의 집에서 살며 그의 아름다움을 바라보고 성전에서 그를 묵상하는 일이다.
- 환난날에 여호와께서 나를 성전에 숨기시고 그의 처소에서 나를 안전하게 보호하시며 나를 높은 바위 위에 두시리라.

- The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?
- When the wicked, even mine enemies and my foes, came upon me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell.
- Though an host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear: though war should rise against me, in this will I be confident.
- One thing have I desired of the LORD, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to enquire in his temple.
- For in the time of trouble he shall hide me in his pavilion: in the secret of his tabernacle shall he hide me; he shall set me up upon a rock.
