- 그때 내 영혼이 여호와를 즐거움으로 삼고 그의 구원을 인하여 기뻐하리라.
- 나의 전 존재가 외치리라. '여호와여, 주와 같은 자가 누구입니까? 주는 약한 자를 강한 자에게서 보호하시고 가난한 자를 약탈자로부터 지키십니다.'
- 악한 자들이 일어나 거짓 증언을 하며 내가 알지도 못한 일로 나를 비난하는구나.
- 그들이 나에게 선을 악으로 갚으니 내 영혼이 낙심하여 죽을 지경이라.
- 그들이 병들었을 때에 내가 굵은 베옷을 입고 금식하며 그들을 위해 안타깝게 부르짖었더니 내 기도가 헛되이 돌아왔구나.

- And my soul shall be joyful in the LORD: it shall rejoice in his salvation.
- All my bones shall say, LORD, who is like unto thee, which deliverest the poor from him that is too strong for him, yea, the poor and the needy from him that spoileth him?
- False witnesses did rise up; they laid to my charge things that I knew not.
- They rewarded me evil for good to the spoiling of my soul.
- But as for me, when they were sick, my clothing was sackcloth: I humbled my soul with fasting; and my prayer returned into mine own bosom.

- 내가 마치 내 부모나 친구나 형제가 죽은 것처럼 그들을 위해 슬퍼하였으나
- 내가 어려움에 빠졌을 때는 그들이 다 기뻐하며 내가 알지 못하는 가운데 그들이 함께 모여 나를 헐뜯고 계속 비방하고 있다.
- 그들이 잔치 자리에서도 조롱을 일삼는 경건치 못한 자들처럼 나를 향해 이를 가는구나.

- I behaved myself as though he had been my friend or brother: I bowed down heavily, as one that mourneth for his mother.
- But in mine adversity they rejoiced, and gathered themselves together: yea, the abjects gathered themselves together against me, and I knew it not; they did tear me, and ceased not:
- With hypocritical mockers in feasts, they gnashed upon me with their teeth.
