민수기 8:1-9:23

 하나님을 섬기기 위해 레위인은 죄로부터 정결케 되는 의식을 행하였다. 회막에서 봉사하는 레위인들의 연령은 25세부터 50세까지였다. 하나님께서는 이스라엘 자손들에게 유월절 행사를 지키도록 명령하셨고, 40년 광야 생활 동안 불과 구름 기둥으로 인도하셨다.
  
  레위인의 성결(8:1-8:26)    
 
  1. 여호와께서 모세에게 말씀하셨다.
  2. '너는 아론에게 등에 불을 켤 때 일곱 등잔이 등대 앞쪽을 비추게 하라고 말하라.'
  3. 그래서 아론은 여호와께서 모세에게 말씀하신 대로 하였다.
  4. 그 등대는 여호와께서 모세에게 보여 주신 양식대로 등대 받침에서부터 꽃모양의 장식과 줄기를 모두 금을 두들겨서 만든 것이었다.
  5. 여호와께서 모세에게 말씀하셨다.
  1. And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
  2. Speak unto Aaron and say unto him, When thou lightest the lamps, the seven lamps shall give light over against the candlestick.
  3. And Aaron did so; he lighted the lamps thereof over against the candlestick, as the LORD commanded Moses.
  4. And this work of the candlestick was of beaten gold, unto the shaft thereof, unto the flowers thereof, was beaten work: according unto the pattern which the LORD had shewed Moses, so he made the candlestick.
  5. And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
  1. '너는 레위인을 다른 이스라엘 사람과 구별하여 그들을 이런 식으로 깨끗하게 하라. 먼저 정결하게 하는 물을 그들에게 뿌린 다음 온 몸을 삭도로 밀게 하고 그들의 옷을 깨끗이 빨게 하라. 그러면 그들이 깨끗하게 될 것이다.
  2. (6절과 같음)
  3. 그리고 나서 그들에게 번제물로 수송아지 한 마리와 고운 밀가루에 기름 섞은 소제물을 가져오게 하고 너는 속죄제물로 수송아지 한 마리를 가져오너라.
  4. 그리고 모든 이스라엘 백성을 모은 다음 레위인을 성막 앞으로 나오게 하여 나 여호와 앞에 세우고 백성들이 그들에게 안수하게 하여라.
  5. (9절과 같음)
  1. Take the Levites from among the children of Israel, and cleanse them.
  2. And thus shalt thou do unto them, to cleanse them: Sprinkle water of purifying upon them, and let them shave all their flesh, and let them wash their clothes, and so make themselves clean.
  3. Then let them take a young bullock with his meat offering, even fine flour mingled with oil, and another young bullock shalt thou take for a sin offering.
  4. And thou shalt bring the Levites before the tabernacle of the congregation: and thou shalt gather the whole assembly of the children of Israel together:
  5. And thou shalt bring the Levites before the LORD: and the children of Israel shall put their hands upon the Levites:
  1. 그런 다음 아론은 레위인을 나 여호와에게 특별한 예물로 바쳐 그들이 내 일을 할 수 있게 해야 한다.
  2. 너는 레위인이 두 수송아지 머리에 손을 얹고 나면 한 마리는 속죄제물로, 다른 한 마리는 번제물로 나 여호와에게 바쳐 레위인을 위해 속죄하여라.
  3. 그리고 너는 레위인을 아론과 그의 아들들 앞에 세워 나에게 특별한 예물로 바쳐야 한다.
  4. 이와 같이 너는 이스라엘 백성 중에서 레위인을 구별하여 그들이 나에게 속하게 하라.
  5. 네가 레위인을 정결하게 하여 특별한 예물로 나에게 바친 후에야 그들이 성막에서 자기들의 직무를 수행할 수 있을 것이다.
  1. And Aaron shall offer the Levites before the LORD for an offering of the children of Israel, that they may execute the service of the LORD.
  2. And the Levites shall lay their hands upon the heads of the bullocks: and thou shalt offer the one for a sin offering, and the other for a burnt offering, unto the LORD, to make an atonement for the Levites.
  3. And thou shalt set the Levites before Aaron, and before his sons, and offer them for an offering unto the LORD.
  4. Thus shalt thou separate the Levites from among the children of Israel: and the Levites shall be mine.
  5. And after that shall the Levites go in to do the service of the tabernacle of the congregation: and thou shalt cleanse them, and offer them for an offering.
  1. 그들은 이스라엘의 모든 백성 가운데서 나에게 속한 자들이다. 내가 이스라엘의 모든 장남 대신 그들을 내 것으로 삼았다.
  2. 내가 이집트의 첫태생을 죽이던 때에 이스라엘의 첫태생을 내 것으로 구별해 놓았으니 이스라엘의 모든 장남과 처음 난 짐승은 다 내 것이다.
  3. 그래서 이스라엘의 모든 장남 대신 내가 레위인을 택하였다.
  4. 나는 그들을 아론과 그의 아들들에게 선물로 주어 이스라엘 백성을 대신하여 성막에서 일하게 하고 또 백성을 위해 속죄하게 하여 그들이 성소에 접근할 때 재앙을 당하는 일이 없도록 하였다.'
  5. 그래서 모세와 아론과 모든 이스라엘 백성은 여호와께서 모세에게 명령하신 대로 레위인들을 여호와께 바쳤다.
  1. For they are wholly given unto me from among the children of Israel; instead of such as open every womb, even instead of the firstborn of all the children of Israel, have I taken them unto me.
  2. For all the firstborn of the children of Israel are mine, both man and beast: on the day that I smote every firstborn in the land of Egypt I sanctified them for myself.
  3. And I have taken the Levites for all the firstborn of the children of Israel.
  4. And I have given the Levites as a gift to Aaron and to his sons from among the children of Israel, to do the service of the children of Israel in the tabernacle of the congregation, and to make an atonement for the children of Israel: that there be no plague among the children of Israel, when the children of Israel come nigh unto the sanctuary.
  5. And Moses, and Aaron, and all the congregation of the children of Israel, did to the Levites according unto all that the LORD commanded Moses concerning the Levites, so did the children of Israel unto them.
  1. 레위인들이 자신들을 깨끗하게 하고 옷을 빨아 입자 아론이 예물을 바치듯이 그들을 여호와께 바치고 그들을 위해 속죄하여 그들을 정결하게 하였다.
  2. 그때부터 레위인은 아론과 그의 아들들의 지시를 받아 성막에서 일하게 되었는데 이 모든 것은 여호와께서 모세에게 명령하신 대로 된 것이다.
  3. 여호와께서 모세에게 말씀하셨다.
  4. '레위인은 25세부터 성막에서 일하게 하고
  5. 50세가 되면 은퇴하게 하라.
  1. And the Levites were purified, and they washed their clothes; and Aaron offered them as an offering before the LORD; and Aaron made an atonement for them to cleanse them.
  2. And after that went the Levites in to do their service in the tabernacle of the congregation before Aaron, and before his sons: as the LORD had commanded Moses concerning the Levites, so did they unto them.
  3. And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
  4. This is it that belongeth unto the Levites: from twenty and five years old and upward they shall go in to wait upon the service of the tabernacle of the congregation:
  5. And from the age of fifty years they shall cease waiting upon the service thereof, and shall serve no more:
  1. 그 이후부터 다른 레위인의 성막 업무를 도울 수는 있으나 그들이 직접 그 일을 수행해서는 안 된다. 그러므로 너는 레위인의 직무를 규정해 주어라.'
  1. But shall minister with their brethren in the tabernacle of the congregation, to keep the charge, and shall do no service. Thus shalt thou do unto the Levites touching their charge.
 
  유월절(9:1-9:23)    
 
  1. 이스라엘 백성이 이집트를 떠나온 지 2년째가 되는 해 1월에 그들이 시나이 광야에 있을 때 여호와께서 모세에게 말씀하셨다.
  2. '이스라엘 백성은 매년 1월 8일 저녁부터 정해진 모든 규정대로 유월절을 지켜야 한다.'
  3. (2절과 같음)
  4. 모세가 이스라엘 백성에게 유월절을 지키라고 말하자
  5. 그들은 1월 14일 저녁에 시나이 광야에서 유월절을 지켜 여호와께서 모세에게 명령하신 대로 하였다.
  1. And the LORD spake unto Moses in the wilderness of Sinai, in the first month of the second year after they were come out of the land of Egypt, saying,
  2. Let the children of Israel also keep the passover at his appointed season.
  3. In the fourteenth day of this month, at even, ye shall keep it in his appointed season: according to all the rites of it, and according to all the ceremonies thereof, shall ye keep it.
  4. And Moses spake unto the children of Israel, that they should keep the passover.
  5. And they kept the passover on the fourteenth day of the first month at even in the wilderness of Sinai: according to all that the LORD commanded Moses, so did the children of Israel.
  1. 그러나 그들 가운데 어떤 사람들은 시체를 만져 더러워졌기 때문에 그 날 밤에 유월절을 지킬 수가 없었다. 그래서 그들은 모세와 아론에게 가서
  2. 우리가 비록 시체를 만져 더러워지기는 했지만 그렇다고 다른 사람들과 함께 정한 때에 여호와께 예물을 드리지 못하게 하는 이유는 무엇입니까?' 하고 따졌다.
  3. 그래서 모세는 '그 문제에 대해서 내가 여호와의 지시를 받을 때까지 기다리시오.' 하고 대답하였다.
  4. 그때 여호와께서 이스라엘 백성에게 이렇게 전하라고 모세에게 말씀하셨다.
  5. '너희나 너희 후손 가운데 어떤 사람이 시체를 만져 더러워졌거나 여행 중이라서 유월절을 지킬 수 없으면
  1. And there were certain men, who were defiled by the dead body of a man, that they could not keep the passover on that day: and they came before Moses and before Aaron on that day:
  2. And those men said unto him, We are defiled by the dead body of a man: wherefore are we kept back, that we may not offer an offering of the LORD in his appointed season among the children of Israel?
  3. And Moses said unto them, Stand still, and I will hear what the LORD will command concerning you.
  4. And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
  5. Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, If any man of you or of your posterity shall be unclean by reason of a dead body, or be in a journey afar off, yet he shall keep the passover unto the LORD.
  1. 그들은 한 달 후인 2월 14일 저녁에 그 명절을 지킬 수 있다. 그때 그들은 양고기와 누룩을 넣지 않은 빵과 쓴 나물을 함께 먹어야 하며
  2. 그것을 다음 날 아침까지 남겨 두거나 그 뼈를 꺾어서는 안 된다. 이와 같이 그들이 유월절을 지킬 때는 모든 규정에 따라야 한다.
  3. 그러나 어떤 사람이 의식상 깨끗하고 여행을 떠나지 않았는데도 유월절을 지키지 않으면 그는 이스라엘 백성 가운데서 제거될 것이다. 그가 정해진 때에 나 여호와에게 예물을 드리지 않았으므로 그 사람은 자기 죄에 대한 댓가를 받아야한다.
  4. 그리고 만일 너희 가운데 살고 있는 외국인이 유월절을 지키고 싶어하면 그도 똑같은 규정에 따라 지키게 하라. 너희 이스라엘 사람이든 외국인이든 유월절 규정은 동일하게 적용되어야 한다.'
  5. 성막이 세워진 날에 구름이 그 성막을 덮었으며 저녁에는 그 구름이 불같은 모양으로 변하여 아침까지 그대로 있었다. 이런 상태는 언제나 계속되었는데
  1. The fourteenth day of the second month at even they shall keep it, and eat it with unleavened bread and bitter herbs.
  2. They shall leave none of it unto the morning, nor break any bone of it: according to all the ordinances of the passover they shall keep it.
  3. But the man that is clean, and is not in a journey, and forbeareth to keep the passover, even the same soul shall be cut off from among his people: because he brought not the offering of the LORD in his appointed season, that man shall bear his sin.
  4. And if a stranger shall sojourn among you, and will keep the passover unto the LORD; according to the ordinance of the passover, and according to the manner thereof, so shall he do: ye shall have one ordinance, both for the stranger, and for him that was born in the land.
  5. And on the day that the tabernacle was reared up the cloud covered the tabernacle, namely, the tent of the testimony: and at even there was upon the tabernacle as it were the appearance of fire, until the morning.
  1. (15절과 같음)
  2. 이스라엘 백성은 구름이 성막에서 떠오르면 행진하고 구름이 다시 내려와 머물면 거기서 진을 쳤다.
  3. 이와 같이 그들은 여호와의 명령에 따라 행진하기도 하고 진을 치기도 하였으며 구름이 성막 위에 머물러 있는 동안에는 그들도 거기에 머물러 있었다.
  4. 그 구름이 성막 위에 오랫동안 머물러 있을 때에는 이스라엘 백성이 여호와의 명령에 순종하여 행진하지 않았으며
  5. 또 구름이 며칠 밖에 머물러 있지 않을 때에도 그들은 여호와의 명령에 따라 머물고 여호와의 명령에 따라 행진하였다.
  1. So it was alway: the cloud covered it by day, and the appearance of fire by night.
  2. And when the cloud was taken up from the tabernacle, then after that the children of Israel journeyed: and in the place where the cloud abode, there the children of Israel pitched their tents.
  3. At the commandment of the LORD the children of Israel journeyed, and at the commandment of the LORD they pitched: as long as the cloud abode upon the tabernacle they rested in their tents.
  4. And when the cloud tarried long upon the tabernacle many days, then the children of Israel kept the charge of the LORD, and journeyed not.
  5. And so it was, when the cloud was a few days upon the tabernacle; according to the commandment of the LORD they abode in their tents, and according to the commandment of the LORD they journeyed.
  1. 어떤 때는 그 구름이 단 하룻밤만 머물렀다가 이튿날 아침에 다시 떠오르기도 하였다. 그러나 그들은 밤낮을 가리지 않고 그 구름이 떠오르면 언제든지 행진하였다.
  2. 이틀이든 한 달이든 일 년이든 그 구름이 성막 위에 머물러 있을 때에는 이스라엘 백성이 진에 머물러 떠나지 않았으나 그 구름이 떠오르면 행진하였다.
  3. 이와 같이 그들은 여호와의 명령에 따라 진을 치기도 하고 행진도 하여 여호와께서 모세를 통해 지시하신 말씀에 순종하였다.
  1. And so it was, when the cloud abode from even unto the morning, and that the cloud was taken up in the morning, then they journeyed: whether it was by day or by night that the cloud was taken up, they journeyed.
  2. Or whether it were two days, or a month, or a year, that the cloud tarried upon the tabernacle, remaining thereon, the children of Israel abode in their tents, and journeyed not: but when it was taken up, they journeyed.
  3. At the commandment of the LORD they rested in the tents, and at the commandment of the LORD they journeyed: they kept the charge of the LORD, at the commandment of the LORD by the hand of Moses.
