- (다윗의 시. 성가대 지휘자를 따라 부른 노래) 하나님이시여, 내가 호소하는 소리를 들으시고 원수의 위협에서 나의 생명을 보호하소서.
- 악인들의 음모와 악한 군중으로부터 나를 지켜 주소서.
- 그들이 자기들의 혀를 칼처럼 날카롭게 하고 독한 말을 화살처럼 겨냥하여
- 숨어서 갑자기 죄 없는 자를 쏘고서도 두려워하지 않습니다.
- 그들이 악한 일에 서로 격려하고 함께 모여서 덫 놓을 곳을 의논하며, '누가 그것을 볼 수 있겠는가?' 하는구나.

- Hear my voice, O God, in my prayer: preserve my life from fear of the enemy.
- Hide me from the secret counsel of the wicked; from the insurrection of the workers of iniquity:
- Who whet their tongue like a sword, and bend their bows to shoot their arrows, even bitter words:
- That they may shoot in secret at the perfect: suddenly do they shoot at him, and fear not.
- They encourage themselves in an evil matter: they commune of laying snares privily; they say, Who shall see them?
