- 주는 한때 환상으로 주의 신실한 종들에게 이렇게 말씀하셨습니다. '내가 용사에게 힘을 주고 백성 중에서 택한 자를 높였으니
- 내 종 다윗을 찾아 거룩한 기름을 부어 그를 왕으로 삼은 것이라.
- 내 손이 그를 붙들어 주고 내 팔이 그를 힘 있게 할 것이니
- 원수가 그를 착취하지 못하고 악인이 그를 괴롭히지 못하리라.
- 내가 그의 원수들을 박멸하고 그를 미워하는 자들을 모조리 죽이겠다.

- Then thou spakest in vision to thy holy one, and saidst, I have laid help upon one that is mighty; I have exalted one chosen out of the people.
- I have found David my servant; with my holy oil have I anointed him:
- With whom my hand shall be established: mine arm also shall strengthen him.
- The enemy shall not exact upon him; nor the son of wickedness afflict him.
- And I will beat down his foes before his face, and plague them that hate him.

- 내가 성실과 사랑으로 그와 함께 할 것이니 그가 내 이름으로 위대하게 되리라.
- 내가 그에게 지중해에서 유프라테스강까지 세력을 떨치게 할 것이니
- 그가 나를 불러 '주는 나의 아버지이며 나의 하나님이시요 내 구원의 반석이십니다.' 하리라.
- 내가 또 그를 내 맏아들로 삼고 세상에서 가장 위대한 왕이 되게 할 것이며
- 그를 항상 사랑할 것이니 그와 맺은 계약이 영원히 변치 않을 것이다.

- But my faithfulness and my mercy shall be with him: and in my name shall his horn be exalted.
- I will set his hand also in the sea, and his right hand in the rivers.
- He shall cry unto me, Thou art my father, my God, and the rock of my salvation.
- Also I will make him my firstborn, higher than the kings of the earth.
- My mercy will I keep for him for evermore, and my covenant shall stand fast with him.

- 내가 그 후손을 대대로 왕위에 앉혀 그의 나라가 끝없이 지속되게 하리라.

- His seed also will I make to endure for ever, and his throne as the days of heaven.
