- 선을 베풀 능력이 있거든 그것을 필요로 하는 자에게 베풀기를 주저하지 말며
- 너에게 가진 것이 있으면 네 이웃에게 '갔다가 다시 오너라. 내일 주겠다.' 라고 말하지 말아라.
- 너를 믿고 사는 네 이웃을 해하려고 계획하지 말며
- 남이 너를 해하지 않았거든 이유 없이 다투지 말아라.
- 난폭한 자를 부러워하지 말며 그의 어떤 행동도 본받지 말아라.

- Withhold not good from them to whom it is due, when it is in the power of thine hand to do it.
- Say not unto thy neighbour, Go, and come again, and to morrow I will give; when thou hast it by thee.
- Devise not evil against thy neighbour, seeing he dwelleth securely by thee.
- Strive not with a man without cause, if he have done thee no harm.
- Envy thou not the oppressor, and choose none of his ways.
