- 청년들아, 이제 내 말을 들어라. 나의 가르침을 좇는 자들이 복이 있다.
- 나의 교훈을 듣고 지혜를 얻어라 그것을 버리지 말아라.
- 누구든지 내 말을 듣고 날마다 문 앞에서 나를 찾으며 문 밖에서 나를 기다리는 자는 복이 있다.
- 이것은 나를 얻는 자가 생명을 얻고 여호와께 은총을 받을 것이기 때문이다.
- 그러나 나를 얻지 못하는 자는 자기 자신을 해치는 자이며 나를 미워하는 자는 죽음을 사랑하는 자이다.'

- Now therefore hearken unto me, O ye children: for blessed are they that keep my ways.
- Hear instruction, and be wise, and refuse it not.
- Blessed is the man that heareth me, watching daily at my gates, waiting at the posts of my doors.
- For whoso findeth me findeth life, and shall obtain favour of the LORD.
- But he that sinneth against me wrongeth his own soul: all they that hate me love death.
