- 왕의 표정에 생명이 달렸으니 그의 은총은 봄에 비를 내리는 구름과 같다.
- 지혜를 얻는 것이 금을 얻는 것보다 낫고 지식을 얻는 것이 은을 얻는 것보다 낫다.
- 정직한 사람의 길은 악을 피하므로 그 길을 걷는 자가 안전하다.
- 교만하면 패망하고 거만하면 넘어진다.
- 겸손한 마음으로 가난한 자와 함께 있는 것이 교만한 자와 함께 약탈물을 나누는 것보다 낫다.
