창세기 9:1-10:32

 하나님께서는 노아와 그 아들들에게 생육과 번성의 복을 주셨으며, 다시는 홍수로 세상을 심판하지 않겠다는 약속의 증거로 무지개를 주셨다. 후에 노아는 자신의 술 취해 벗은 모습을 보고 희롱거리로 만든 함의 자손 가나안을 저주하였다. 셈과 함과 야벳의 자손이 번창하여 각기 방언과 종족과 나라대로 살게 됨으로써 땅의 열국 백성이 나뉘었다.
  
  노아의 언약(9:1-9:29)    
 
  1. 하나님이 노아와 그의 아들들을 축복하여 이렇게 말씀하셨다. '너희는 자녀를 많이 낳고 번성하여 땅을 가득 채워라.
  2. 땅의 모든 짐승과 공중의 새와 땅에 기는 생물과 바다의 고기가 모두 너희를 두려워하고 무서워할 것이다. 이 모든 것은 내가 다 너희에게 준 것이다.
  3. 내가 곡식과 채소를 너희 식물로 준 것처럼 살아서 움직이는 모든 동물도 너희 식물로 주겠다.
  4. 그러나 너희는 고기를 생피가 들어 있는 그대로 먹어서는 안 된다.
  5. 살인은 금물이다. 사람은 나의 모습대로 창조되었으므로 사람을 죽인 짐승이나 인간은 반드시 죽여야 한다.
  1. And God blessed Noah and his sons and said to them, "Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth.
  2. "The fear of you and the terror of you will be on every beast of the earth and on every bird of the sky; with everything that creeps on the ground, and all the fish of the sea, into your hand they are given.
  3. "Every moving thing that is alive shall be food for you; I give all to you, as I gave the green plant.
  4. "Only you shall not eat flesh with its life, that is, its blood.
  5. "Surely I will require your lifeblood; from every beast I will require it. And from every man, from every man's brother I will require the life of man.

  2. 너희는 자녀를 많이 낳고 온 땅에 번성하여라'
  3. 하나님이 노아와 그의 아들들에게 다시 말씀하셨다.
  4. '이제 내가 너희와 너희 후손과
  5. 그리고 너희와 함께 배에서 나온 모든 새와 짐승과 땅의 모든 생물들에게 약속한다.
  1. "Whoever sheds man's blood, By man his blood shall be shed, For in the image of God He made man.
  2. "As for you, be fruitful and multiply; Populate the earth abundantly and multiply in it."
  3. Then God spoke to Noah and to his sons with him, saying,
  4. "Now behold, I Myself do establish My covenant with you, and with your descendants after you;
  5. and with every living creature that is with you, the birds, the cattle, and every beast of the earth with you; of all that comes out of the ark, even every beast of the earth.
  1. 내가 두 번 다시 홍수로 모든 생물을 멸종시키지 않겠다. 그러므로 온 땅을 휩쓰는 홍수가 다시는 없을 것이다.
  2. 내가 너희와 그리고 너희와 함께 있는 모든 생물들과 대대로 맺을 계약의 표는 이것이다.
  3. 내가 무지개를 구름 속에 두었으니 이것이 나와 세상 사이에 계약의 표가 될 것이다.
  4. 내가 땅에 구름을 보내 무지개가 구름 속에 나타나면
  5. 내가 너희와 모든 생물 사이에 맺은 계약을 기억하겠다. 홍수 때문에 생물이 전멸되는 일이 다시는 없을 것이다.
  1. "I establish My covenant with you; and all flesh shall never again be cut off by the water of the flood, neither shall there again be a flood to destroy the earth."
  2. God said, "This is the sign of the covenant which I am making between Me and you and every living creature that is with you, for all successive generations;
  3. I set My bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a sign of a covenant between Me and the earth.
  4. "It shall come about, when I bring a cloud over the earth, that the bow will be seen in the cloud,
  5. and I will remember My covenant, which is between Me and you and every living creature of all flesh; and never again shall the water become a flood to destroy all flesh.
  1. 무지개가 구름 가운데 나타날 때마다 내가 그것을 보고 땅의 모든 생물과 맺은 나의 영원한 계약을 기억할 것이다.
  2. 이것이 바로 모든 생물과 맺은 계약의 표이다'
  3. 배에서 나온 노아의 아들들은 셈과 함과 야벳이었는데 함은 가나안의 아버지였다.
  4. 그리고 노아의 이 세 아들을 통해서 온 세상에 사람들이 퍼지게 되었다.
  5. 노아는 농사를 시작하여 포도나무를 심었다.
  1. "When the bow is in the cloud, then I will look upon it, to remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature of all flesh that is on the earth."
  2. And God said to Noah, "This is the sign of the covenant which I have established between Me and all flesh that is on the earth."
  3. Now the sons of Noah who came out of the ark were Shem and Ham and Japheth; and Ham was the father of Canaan.
  4. These three were the sons of Noah, and from these the whole earth was populated.
  5. Then Noah began farming and planted a vineyard.
  1. 하루는 그가 포도주를 마시고 취하여 자기 천막 안에서 벌거벗은 채 누워 있었다.
  2. 가나안의 아버지인 함이 자기 아버지의 나체를 보고 밖으로 나가서 그 사실을 두 형제에게 말하였다.
  3. 그러자 셈과 야벳이 옷을 가져다가 어깨에 메고 뒷걸음질쳐서 들어가 아버지의 나체를 덮어 주고 계속 얼굴을 돌린 채 아버지의 나체를 보지 않았다.
  4. 노아는 술이 깬 후에 함이 자기에게 한 일을 알고
  5. 이렇게 말하였다 '가나안은 저주를 받아 자기 형제들에게 가장 천한 종이 되리라.
  1. He drank of the wine and became drunk, and uncovered himself inside his tent.
  2. Ham, the father of Canaan, saw the nakedness of his father, and told his two brothers outside.
  3. But Shem and Japheth took a garment and laid it upon both their shoulders and walked backward and covered the nakedness of their father; and their faces were turned away, so that they did not see their father's nakedness.
  4. When Noah awoke from his wine, he knew what his youngest son had done to him.
  5. So he said, "Cursed be Canaan; A servant of servants He shall be to his brothers."
  1. 셈의 하나님 여호와를 찬양하라. 가나안은 셈의 종이 되기를 바라며
  2. 하나님이 야벳을 번창하게 하셔서 셈의 축복을 함께 누리게 하시고 가나안은 야벳의 종이 되기를 원하노라'
  3. 홍수 후에도 노아는 350년을 더 살다가
  4. 950세에 죽었다.
  1. He also said, "Blessed be the LORD, The God of Shem; And let Canaan be his servant.
  2. "May God enlarge Japheth, And let him dwell in the tents of Shem; And let Canaan be his servant."
  3. Noah lived three hundred and fifty years after the flood.
  4. So all the days of Noah were nine hundred and fifty years, and he died.
 
  지상에 퍼진 민족들(10:1-10:32)    
 
  1. 노아의 아들인 셈과 함과 야벳의 자손들은 이렇다. 이들은 홍수 후에 여러 아들을 낳았는데
  2. 야벳의 아들은 고멜, 마곡, 마대, 야완, 두발, 메섹, 디라스,
  3. 고멜의 아들은 아스그나스, 리밧, 도갈마,
  4. 야완의 아들은 엘리사, 다시스, 깃딤, 도다님이었다.
  5. 이들 야벳의 자손들은 종족과 언어와 나라별로 섬과 해안 지역에 흩어져 살았으며 이들이 바로 해양 민족의 조상들이 되었다.
  1. Now these are the records of the generations of Shem, Ham, and Japheth, the sons of Noah; and sons were born to them after the flood.
  2. The sons of Japheth were Gomer and Magog and Madai and Javan and Tubal and Meshech and Tiras.
  3. The sons of Gomer were Ashkenaz and Riphath and Togarmah.
  4. The sons of Javan were Elishah and Tarshish, Kittim and Dodanim.
  5. From these the coastlands of the nations were separated into their lands, every one according to his language, according to their families, into their nations.
  1. 함의 아들은 구스, 미스라임, 붓, 가나안이며
  2. 구스의 아들은 스바, 하윌라, 삽다, 라아마, 삽드가이고 라아마의 아들은 스바와 드단이었다.
  3. 구스는 또 니므롯이라는 아들을 낳았는데 그는 세상에서 최초의 정복자였다.
  4. 그는 여호와를 무시하는 힘센 사냥꾼이었으므로 '니므롯처럼 여호와를 무시하는 힘 센 사냥꾼'이라는 유행어까지 생기게 되었다.
  5. 처음에 그의 나라는 시날 땅의 바벨, 에렉, 악갓, 갈레에서 시작되었다.
  1. The sons of Ham were Cush and Mizraim and Put and Canaan.
  2. The sons of Cush were Seba and Havilah and Sabtah and Raamah and Sabteca; and the sons of Raamah were Sheba and Dedan.
  3. Now Cush became the father of Nimrod; he became a mighty one on the earth.
  4. He was a mighty hunter before the LORD; therefore it is said, "Like Nimrod a mighty hunter before the LORD."
  5. The beginning of his kingdom was Babel and Erech and Accad and Calneh, in the land of Shinar.
  1. 거기서 그는 앗시리아로 가서 니느웨, 르호봇-일, 갈라,
  2. 그리고 니느웨와 갈라 사이의 큰 성 레센을 건설하였다
  3. 미스라임은 루딤, 아나밈, 르하빔, 납두힘,
  4. 바드루심, 가슬루힘, 갑도림을 낳았으며 블레셋 사람들은 가슬루힘의 후손들이었다.
  5. 가나안은 장남 시돈과 헷을 낳았으며
  1. From that land he went forth into Assyria, and built Nineveh and Rehoboth-Ir and Calah,
  2. and Resen between Nineveh and Calah; that is the great city.
  3. Mizraim became the father of Ludim and Anamim and Lehabim and Naphtuhim
  4. and Pathrusim and Casluhim (from which came the Philistines) and Caphtorim.
  5. Canaan became the father of Sidon, his firstborn, and Heth
  1. 그는 또 여부스족, 아모리족, 기르가스족,
  2. 히위족, 알가족, 신족,
  3. 아르왓족, 스말족, 하맛족의 조상이 되었다. 그 후 가나안 자손들은 여러 부족으로 흩어져 살았는데
  4. 그들의 경계선은 시돈에서부터 그랄을 지나 가사까지, 그리고 소돔, 고모라, 아드마, 스보임을 지나 라사까지였다.
  5. 이들 함의 후손들은 종속과 언어와 지방과 나라별로 흩어져 살았다.
  1. and the Jebusite and the Amorite and the Girgashite
  2. and the Hivite and the Arkite and the Sinite
  3. and the Arvadite and the Zemarite and the Hamathite; and afterward the families of the Canaanite were spread abroad.
  4. The territory of the Canaanite extended from Sidon as you go toward Gerar, as far as Gaza; as you go toward Sodom and Gomorrah and Admah and Zeboiim, as far as Lasha.
  5. These are the sons of Ham, according to their families, according to their languages, by their lands, by their nations.
  1. 야벳의 형이었던 셈은 히브리 사람의 조상이 되었다.
  2. 그의 아들은 엘람, 앗수르, 아르박삿, 룻, 아람이었으며
  3. 아람의 아들은 우스, 훌, 게델, 메섹이었고
  4. 아르박삿은 셀라를 낳았으며 셀라는 에벨을 낳았고
  5. 에벨은 두 아들을 낳아 그 중 하나의 이름을 벨렉이라 하였다. 이것은 그 당시에 세상 사람들이 나누어졌기 때문이었다. 그리고 벨렉의 동생은 욕단이었다.
  1. Also to Shem, the father of all the children of Eber, and the older brother of Japheth, children were born.
  2. The sons of Shem were Elam and Asshur and Arpachshad and Lud and Aram.
  3. The sons of Aram were Uz and Hul and Gether and Mash.
  4. Arpachshad became the father of Shelah; and Shelah became the father of Eber.
  5. Two sons were born to Eber; the name of the one was Peleg, for in his days the earth was divided; and his brother's name was Joktan.
  1. 욕단은 알모닷, 셀렙, 하살마웻, 예라,
  2. 하도람, 우살, 디글라,
  3. 오빌, 아비마엘, 스바,
  4. 오발, 하윌라, 요밥을 낳았다.
  5. 이들이 사는 땅은 메사에서부터 동쪽 산간 지역 스발까지였다
  1. Joktan became the father of Almodad and Sheleph and Hazarmaveth and Jerah
  2. and Hadoram and Uzal and Diklah
  3. and Obal and Abimael and Sheba
  4. and Ophir and Havilah and Jobab; all these were the sons of Joktan.
  5. Now their settlement extended from Mesha as you go toward Sephar, the hill country of the east.
  1. 이들 셈의 후손들은 종족과 언어와 지방과 나라별로 흩어져 살았다.
  2. 이상의 모든 사람들은 다 노아의 후손들이며 이들은 홍수 후에 여러 나라와 민족으로 나누어졌다.
  1. These are the sons of Shem, according to their families, according to their languages, by their lands, according to their nations.
  2. These are the families of the sons of Noah, according to their genealogies, by their nations; and out of these the nations were separated on the earth after the flood.
 
  편만(遍滿, 9:7)  널리 퍼져 가득 참  
  영걸(英傑, 10:8)  강력한 세력을 지닌 자, 영웅 호걸
