- (아삽의 교훈시) 하나님이시여, 어째서 우리를 이처럼 버리셨습니까? 어째서 주의 백성에게 분노하십니까?
- 주께서 오래 전에 택하시고 노예 생활에서 구하셔서 주의 지파가 되게 하신 주의 백성을 기억하시며 한때 주께서 계셨던 시온산도 기억하소서.
- 완전히 폐허가 된 이 곳을 돌아보소서. 우리 원수들이 성소에 있는 것을 모두 파괴해 버렸습니다.
- 주의 원수들이 주의 성소에서 승리의 함성을 올리며 승리의 상징으로 그 곳에 자기들의 기를 세웠습니다.
- 그들은 도끼를 휘둘러 벌목하는 사람과 같습니다.

- O God, why have You rejected us forever? Why does Your anger smoke against the sheep of Your pasture?
- Remember Your congregation, which You have purchased of old, Which You have redeemed to be the tribe of Your inheritance; And this Mount Zion, where You have dwelt.
- Turn Your footsteps toward the perpetual ruins; The enemy has damaged everything within the sanctuary.
- Your adversaries have roared in the midst of Your meeting place; They have set up their own standards for signs.
- It seems as if one had lifted up His axe in a forest of trees.

- 그들이 도끼와 망치로 성소의 조각품을 모조리 때려부수고
- 주의 성소를 불사르며 주께서 경배받으시는 신성한 곳을 더럽혔습니다.
- 그들은 모조리 부숴 버리겠다고 생각하며 하나님을 섬기는 회당을 전부 불살라 버렸습니다.
- 우리가 주의 백성임을 보여 줄 표적이 아무것도 없으며 이젠 예언자도 없고 이런 상태가 얼마동안 계속될지 우리 가운데 아는 자도 없습니다.
- 하나님이시여, 원수들이 언제까지 주를 비웃겠습니까? 원수들이 주의 이름을 영원히 모욕할 것입니까?

- And now all its carved work They smash with hatchet and hammers.
- They have burned Your sanctuary to the ground; They have defiled the dwelling place of Your name.
- They said in their heart, "Let us completely subdue them." They have burned all the meeting places of God in the land.
- We do not see our signs; There is no longer any prophet, Nor is there any among us who knows how long.
- How long, O God, will the adversary revile, And the enemy spurn Your name forever?
