욥기 10:1-12:25

 욥의 계속되는 한탄 가운데 나아마 사람 소발이 욥의 변명에 대해 공격하였다. 그는 하나님의 전능성을 내세워 하나님 앞에서 깨끗하다는 욥의 고백을 비난하면서 욥이 회개하면 용서를 받지만, 그렇지 않으면 무서운 결과가 올 것이라고 충고하였다. 이에 대하여 욥은 자신이 친구들의 조롱거리가 되었고 자신도 지혜와 명철이 하나님께 속한 것임을 알고 있다고 말하면서 그의 억울함을 호소하였다.
  
  욥의 기도(10:1-10:22)    
 
  1. 나는 삶에 지쳐 버렸다. 마음껏 불평도 해 보고 내 영혼의 괴로움을 털어놓아야겠다.
  2. 내가 하나님께 말하리라. '하나님이시여, 나를 죄인으로 단정하지 마시고 무엇 때문에 나를 죄인 취급하시는지 말씀해 주소서.
  3. 주의 손으로 직접 만드신 나는 학대하시고 멸시하시면서 악인의 책략을 너그럽게 보시는 것이 옳은 일이십니까?
  4. 주께서는 육신의 눈을 가지셨습니까? 어째서 사람이 보듯이 보십니까?
  5. 주의 날이 인생의 날처럼 짧습니까?
  1. "I loathe my own life; I will give full vent to my complaint; I will speak in the bitterness of my soul.
  2. "I will say to God, 'Do not condemn me; Let me know why You contend with me.
  3. 'Is it right for You indeed to oppress, To reject the labor of Your hands, And to look favorably on the schemes of the wicked?
  4. 'Have You eyes of flesh? Or do You see as a man sees?
  5. 'Are Your days as the days of a mortal, Or Your years as man's years,
  1. 무엇 때문에 주께서는 내 허물을 찾고 내 죄를 꼬치꼬치 밝혀내시려고 하십니까?
  2. 주는 나에게 죄가 없는 것도 아시고 주의 손에서 나를 벗어나게 할 자도 없다는 것을 잘 알고 게시지 않습니까?
  3. 주의 손으로 나를 빚어 만드시고 이제는 오히려 나를 없애 버릴 작정이십니까?
  4. 주여, 나를 흙으로 만드신 것을 기억하소서. 주께서는 나를 다시 티끌로 돌려보내시려고 하십니까
  5. 주는 나를 우유처럼 쏟아 부으시고 치이즈처럼 굳게 하셨습니다.
  1. That You should seek for my guilt And search after my sin?
  2. 'According to Your knowledge I am indeed not guilty, Yet there is no deliverance from Your hand.
  3. 'Your hands fashioned and made me altogether, And would You destroy me?
  4. 'Remember now, that You have made me as clay; And would You turn me into dust again?
  5. 'Did You not pour me out like milk And curdle me like cheese;
  1. 그리고서 나를 살과 가죽으로 입히시고 뼈와 힘줄로 얽어 매셨으며
  2. 나에게 생명을 주시고 사랑을 베푸셔서 주의 보살핌으로 내 영을 지키셨습니다.
  3. 그러나 나는 주께서 나를 지켜 보시다가 만일 내가 범죄하면 나를 죄인으로 인정하여 용서하지 않으실 것을 알고 있습니다.
  4. (13절과 같음)
  5. 내가 만일 악하다면 나에게 화가 미칠 것이지만 죄가 없다고 해도 내가 머리를 들 수 없는 것은 내가 수치감에 빠져 내 고통을 의식하기 때문입니다.
  1. Clothe me with skin and flesh, And knit me together with bones and sinews?
  2. 'You have granted me life and lovingkindness; And Your care has preserved my spirit.
  3. 'Yet these things You have concealed in Your heart; I know that this is within You:
  4. If I sin, then You would take note of me, And would not acquit me of my guilt.
  5. 'If I am wicked, woe to me! And if I am righteous, I dare not lift up my head. I am sated with disgrace and conscious of my misery.
  1. 내가 머리를 치켜들면 주께서는 사자처럼 나를 덮쳐 무서운 위력을 다시 나타내십니다.
  2. 주께서 증인을 번갈아 세워 나를 의롭게 하시며 나에게 대한 분노를 점점 더하시니 군대가 번갈아 나를 치는 것 같습니다.
  3. 그런데 주께서는 무엇때문에 나를 태어나게 하셨습니까? 내가 차라리 아무도 보기 전에 죽었으면 좋을뻔하였습니다.
  4. 그랬더라면 내가 생기지 않은 것과 같이 되어 태에서 바로 무덤으로 가고 말았을 것입니다.
  5. 나의 짧은 생이 거의 끝나지 않았습니까? 제발 좀 내버려 두십시오. 나는 잠시라도 평안한 시간을 갖고 싶습니다. 나는 곧 다시 돌아올 수 없는 곳으로 가게 될 것입니다.
  1. 'Should my head be lifted up, You would hunt me like a lion; And again You would show Your power against me.
  2. 'You renew Your witnesses against me And increase Your anger toward me; Hardship after hardship is with me.
  3. 'Why then have You brought me out of the womb? Would that I had died and no eye had seen me!
  4. 'I should have been as though I had not been, Carried from womb to tomb.'
  5. "Would He not let my few days alone? Withdraw from me that I may have a little cheer
  1. (20절과 같음)
  2. 그 곳은 어둡고 음산하며 죽음의 그늘이 져서 무질서하고 광명도 흑암과 같은 곳입니다.'
  1. Before I go--and I shall not return-- To the land of darkness and deep shadow,
  2. The land of utter gloom as darkness itself, Of deep shadow without order, And which shines as the darkness."
 
  소발의 첫번째 충고(11:1-11:20)    
 
  1. 그때 나아마 사람 소발이 이렇게 말하였다.
  2. '이런 말을 듣고도 대답하지 않을 사람이 있겠느냐? 그와 같이 말이 많다고 해서 옳다는 인정을 받겠느냐?
  3. 네가 자랑할 때 나는 잠자코 있어야만 하겠느냐? 네가 비웃으면 너를 부끄럽게 할 자가 없겠느냐?
  4. 너는 네가 믿고 생각하는 것이 옳다고 여기며 하나님 앞에서도 네가 순결하다고 주장하는구나!
  5. 하나님이 입을 열어 너에게 대답하시며
  1. Then Zophar the Naamathite answered,
  2. "Shall a multitude of words go unanswered, And a talkative man be acquitted?
  3. "Shall your boasts silence men? And shall you scoff and none rebuke?
  4. "For you have said, 'My teaching is pure, And I am innocent in your eyes.'
  5. "But would that God might speak, And open His lips against you,
  1. 지혜의 비밀을 너에게 알려 주시기 원한다. 지혜에는 인간이 이해하기에 너무 심오한 면이 있기 때문이다. 너는 하나님이 너에게 주신 벌이 네가 마땅히 받아야 할 것에 비해서 오히려 가벼운 것임을 알아야 한다.
  2. 네가 전능하신 하나님의 위대하심과 능력에 대한 깊이와 한계를 감히 측량할 수 있겠느냐?
  3. 그것이 하늘보다 높으니 네가 어찌하겠으며 지옥보다 깊으니 네가 어떻게 알겠느냐?
  4. 하나님의 위대하심은 땅보다도 넓고 바다보다도 깊다.
  5. 만일 하나님이 사람을 잡아 가두시고 재판을 하기 위해 법정을 여신다면 누가 감히 그를 막을 수 있겠느냐?
  1. And show you the secrets of wisdom! For sound wisdom has two sides Know then that God forgets a part of your iniquity.
  2. "Can you discover the depths of God? Can you discover the limits of the Almighty?
  3. "They are high as the heavens, what can you do? Deeper than Sheol, what can you know?
  4. "Its measure is longer than the earth And broader than the sea.
  5. "If He passes by or shuts up, Or calls an assembly, who can restrain Him?
  1. 하나님은 거짓된 사람을 아시므로 일일이 살피지 않고서도 악한 자들의 행동을 다 보고 계신다.
  2. 들나귀 새끼가 사람으로 태어날 수 있다면 어리석은 사람도 지혜롭게 될 수 있을 것이다.
  3. 네가 마음가짐을 바로하고 주를 향해 손을 들 때
  4. 네 손에 있는 죄를 떨어 버리고 네 집에 악이 머물지 못하게 하라
  5. 그러면 네가 부끄럽지 않게 얼굴을 들고 굳게 서서 두려워하지 않을 것이다.
  1. "For He knows false men, And He sees iniquity without investigating.
  2. "An idiot will become intelligent When the foal of a wild donkey is born a man.
  3. "If you would direct your heart right And spread out your hand to Him,
  4. If iniquity is in your hand, put it far away, And do not let wickedness dwell in your tents;
  5. "Then, indeed, you could lift up your face without moral defect, And you would be steadfast and not fear.
  1. 그때 너의 모든 괴로움은 빨리 흘러가는 물처럼 네 기억에서 사라질 것이다.
  2. 그리고 너의 삶은 대낮보다 더 밝고 어두움도 아침과 같을 것이다.
  3. 그렇게 되면 너는 희망이 있기 때문에 든든할 것이며 자신을 보살피면서 안전하게 쉴 수 있을 것이다.
  4. 또 네가 누워도 너를 두렵게 할 자가 없을 것이며 많은 사람이 도와 달라고 너를 찾아올 것이다.
  5. 그러나 악한 자들은 눈이 어두워 도망갈 곳을 찾지 못할 것이니 그들의 희망은 목숨이 끊어지는 것 바로 그것이다.'
  1. "For you would forget your trouble, As waters that have passed by, you would remember it.
  2. "Your life would be brighter than noonday; Darkness would be like the morning.
  3. "Then you would trust, because there is hope; And you would look around and rest securely.
  4. "You would lie down and none would disturb you, And many would entreat your favor.
  5. "But the eyes of the wicked will fail, And there will be no escape for them; And their hope is to breathe their last."
 
  욥의 답변(12:1-12:25)    
 
  1. 그래서 욥이 이렇게 대답하였다.
  2. '참으로 너희들만 사람인 체하는데 너희들이 죽으면 지혜도 함께 죽고 말겠구나!
  3. 하지만 나에게도 너희 못지 않은 지각이 있다. 내가 너희보다 못한 것이 무엇인가? 너희가 말한 그 정도는 누구든지 다 아는 사실이다.
  4. 하나님께 부르짖어 응답받은 내가 내 친구들에게 웃음거리가 되고 말았구나. 너희는 의롭고 흠 없는 나를 지금 비웃고 있다.
  5. 평안하게 사는 자는 재앙당한 자를 멸시하고 재앙은 곧 넘어지려는 자를 기다리고 있구나.
  1. Then Job responded,
  2. "Truly then you are the people, And with you wisdom will die!
  3. "But I have intelligence as well as you; I am not inferior to you. And who does not know such things as these?
  4. "I am a joke to my friends, The one who called on God and He answered him; The just and blameless man is a joke.
  5. "He who is at ease holds calamity in contempt, As prepared for those whose feet slip.
  1. 강도가 번영을 누리며 살고 하나님을 노하게 하는 자가 무사하나 그들은 자기들의 힘을 신으로 삼는 자들이다.
  2. 이제 짐승들에게 물어 보아라. 그것들이 너를 가르칠 것이다. 공중의 새들에게 물어 보아라. 그것들이 너에게 말할 것이다.
  3. 땅에게 말해 보아라. 그것이 너를 가르칠 것이며 바다의 고기도 너에게 일러 줄 말이 있을 것이다.
  4. 이것들 중에 그 어느 것이 여호와의 손이 행하신 일을 모르겠느냐?
  5. 만물의 생명과 전 인류의 호흡이 하나님의 손에 달려 있다.
  1. "The tents of the destroyers prosper, And those who provoke God are secure, Whom God brings into their power.
  2. "But now ask the beasts, and let them teach you; And the birds of the heavens, and let them tell you.
  3. "Or speak to the earth, and let it teach you; And let the fish of the sea declare to you.
  4. "Who among all these does not know That the hand of the LORD has done this,
  5. In whose hand is the life of every living thing, And the breath of all mankind?
  1. 입으로 음식 맛을 알듯이 귀로 말을 들으면 깨닫지 못하겠느냐?
  2. 늙은 자에게는 지혜가 있고 장수하는 자에게는 통찰력이 있다.
  3. 그러나 참된 지혜와 능력은 하나님의 것이며 예지와 통찰력도 그의 것이다.
  4. 하나님이 헐면 누가 세울 수 있으며 하나님이 가두신 자를 누가 풀어 놓을 수 있겠는가?
  5. 하나님이 비를 내리지 않으시면 땅이 곧 메마르고 폭우를 보내시면 땅이 물난리를 겪는다.
  1. "Does not the ear test words, As the palate tastes its food?
  2. "Wisdom is with aged men, With long life is understanding.
  3. "With Him are wisdom and might; To Him belong counsel and understanding.
  4. "Behold, He tears down, and it cannot be rebuilt; He imprisons a man, and there can be no release.
  5. "Behold, He restrains the waters, and they dry up; And He sends them out, and they inundate the earth.
  1. 그에게는 능력과 지혜가 있고 속이고 속는 자도 그에게 속하였다.
  2. 하나님은 지혜로운 자들의 지혜를 빼앗아 가시며 재판관들을 어리석은 자로 만드시고
  3. 왕들이 백성들에게 채운 쇠고랑을 풀어 그들의 허리에 채우시며
  4. 제사장들이 맨몸으로 끌려가게 하시고 권력 있는 자들을 뒤엎어 버리시며
  5. 신뢰받는 자들의 말문을 막으시고 늙은 자들의 지혜를 빼앗아 가신다.
  1. "With Him are strength and sound wisdom, The misled and the misleader belong to Him.
  2. "He makes counselors walk barefoot And makes fools of judges.
  3. "He loosens the bond of kings And binds their loins with a girdle.
  4. "He makes priests walk barefoot And overthrows the secure ones.
  5. "He deprives the trusted ones of speech And takes away the discernment of the elders.
  1. 그는 또 귀족들을 멸시하시며 강한 자들을 약하게 하시고
  2. 어두운 가운데서 은밀한 것을 드러내시며 죽음의 그늘도 빛 가운데로 이끌어내신다.
  3. 그는 나라를 흥하게도 하시고 망하게도 하시며 광대하게도 하시고 아주 사라지게도 하신다.
  4. 하나님은 세상 통치자들의 총명을 뺏으시고 그들을 길 없는 거친 들에서 방황하게 하시며
  5. 빛 없이 어두운 곳을 더듬게 하시고 술 취한 사람같이 비틀거리게 하신다.
  1. "He pours contempt on nobles And loosens the belt of the strong.
  2. "He reveals mysteries from the darkness And brings the deep darkness into light.
  3. "He makes the nations great, then destroys them; He enlarges the nations, then leads them away.
  4. "He deprives of intelligence the chiefs of the earth's people And makes them wander in a pathless waste.
  5. "They grope in darkness with no light, And He makes them stagger like a drunken man.
