욥기 32:1-33:33

 욥의 세 친구들은 그가 끝까지 결백을 주장하자 변론을 중단하였다. 그러자 이때 엘리후가 의롭다는 욥과 그를 정죄한 세 친구들을 공박하면서 세 친구들이 욥과의 변론에서 올바른 대답을 해주지 못했다고 지적하였다. 그리고 하나님은 사람보다 크시다고 하면서, 스스로 불의가 없다고 고백한 욥의 말은 의롭지 못하다고 하였다.
  
  엘리후의 발언(32:1-33:33)    
 
  1. 욥이 죄가 없음을 한결같이 주장하기 때문에 그 세 사람은 더 이상 대답을 하고 싶지 않아 말문을 닫았다.
  2. 그러자 람 집안의 부스 사람 바라겔의 아들인 엘리후가 참다 못해 화를 내고 나섰다. 이것은 욥이 하나님보다 자기를 더 의롭게 여기고 있기 때문이었다.
  3. 그리고 그는 욥의 세 친구들이 욥의 말에 대답도 못하면서 그를 죄인으로 단정하기 때문에 화가 나서 그들도 못마땅하게 생각하였다.
  4. 엘리후는 그들이 자기보다 나이가 많기 때문에 그들의 말이 끝날 때까지 기다렸던 것이다.
  5. 그러나 그는 그 세 사람이 더 이상 대답하지 못하는 것을 보고 화를 내며
  1. Then these three men ceased answering Job, because he was righteous in his own eyes.
  2. But the anger of Elihu the son of Barachel the Buzite, of the family of Ram burned; against Job his anger burned because he justified himself before God.
  3. And his anger burned against his three friends because they had found no answer, and yet had condemned Job.
  4. Now Elihu had waited to speak to Job because they were years older than he.
  5. And when Elihu saw that there was no answer in the mouth of the three men his anger burned.
  1. 이렇게 말하였다. '나는 젊고 당신들은 나이가 많기 때문에 사실 내가 참고 지금까지 내 의견을 말하지 않았소.
  2. 나는 나이 많은 자가 말을 하고 지식을 가르쳐야 할 것이라고 생각했으나
  3. 사실 사람을 지혜롭게 하는 것은 나이가 아니라 사람에게 지혜를 주시는 전능하신 하나님의 성령인 것 같소.
  4. (8절과 같음)
  5. 이제 내 말을 들어 보시오. 나도 내 의견을 말해 보겠소.
  1. So Elihu the son of Barachel the Buzite spoke out and said, "I am young in years and you are old; Therefore I was shy and afraid to tell you what I think.
  2. "I thought age should speak, And increased years should teach wisdom.
  3. "But it is a spirit in man, And the breath of the Almighty gives them understanding.
  4. "The abundant in years may not be wise, Nor may elders understand justice.
  5. "So I say, 'Listen to me, I too will tell what I think.'
  1. 내가 지금까지 기다리면서 당신들이 하는 말에 귀를 기울여 보았으나 당신들 가운데는 욥의 말을 반박할 사람이 아무도 없소
  2. (11절과 같음)
  3. 당신들은 '우리가 지혜를 깨달았다. 그를 이길 자는 사람이 아니라 하나님이시다!' 하고 말하지 마시오.
  4. 만일 욥이 나와 논쟁을 했다고 하면 나는 당신들처럼 그런 논리로 대답하지는 않았을 것이오
  5. 이제 당신들은 당황하여 아무 대답도 못하고 있소.
  1. "Behold, I waited for your words, I listened to your reasonings, While you pondered what to say.
  2. "I even paid close attention to you; Indeed, there was no one who refuted Job, Not one of you who answered his words.
  3. "Do not say, 'We have found wisdom; God will rout him, not man.'
  4. "For he has not arranged his words against me, Nor will I reply to him with your arguments.
  5. "They are dismayed, they no longer answer; Words have failed them.
  1. 당신들이 아무 말도 못하고 가만히 있으니 내가 어찌 보고만 있을 수 있겠소?
  2. 나도 내 생각을 한번 말해 봐야겠습니다.
  3. 내게도 할 말이 많은데 더 이상 참을 수 없군요.
  4. 내가 이대로 있다가는 내 가슴이 봉해 놓은 포도주나 새 가죽 부대처럼 터져 버리고 말 것 같소.
  5. 아무래도 내가 말을 해야 속이 후련할 것 같으니 내가 대답하겠소.
  1. "Shall I wait, because they do not speak, Because they stop and no longer answer?
  2. "I too will answer my share, I also will tell my opinion.
  3. "For I am full of words; The spirit within me constrains me.
  4. "Behold, my belly is like unvented wine, Like new wineskins it is about to burst.
  5. "Let me speak that I may get relief; Let me open my lips and answer.
  1. 나는 이 마당에 누구를 편들거나 누구에게 아첨하지 않을 것이오.
  2. 사실 나는 아첨할 줄도 모르는 사람이오. 내가 만일 그렇게 한다면 하나님이 즉시 나를 벌하실 것이오
  1. "Let me now be partial to no one, Nor flatter any man.
  2. "For I do not know how to flatter, Else my Maker would soon take me away.
 
 
  1. 욥, 이제 너는 내 말을 들어라.
  2. 내가 입을 여니 내 혀가 입 속에서 말을 하는구나.
  3. 내가 아는 것을 정직하고 진실하게 말하겠다.
  4. 하나님의 성령이 나를 만드셨고 전능하신 분의 숨결이 나에게 생명을 주셨다.
  5. 네가 내 말에 대답할 수 있으면 준비했다가 나에게 대답하고 반박하여라.
  1. "However now, Job, please hear my speech, And listen to all my words.
  2. "Behold now, I open my mouth, My tongue in my mouth speaks.
  3. "My words are from the uprightness of my heart, And my lips speak knowledge sincerely.
  4. "The Spirit of God has made me, And the breath of the Almighty gives me life.
  5. "Refute me if you can; Array yourselves before me, take your stand.
  1. 하나님 앞에서는 너와 내가 마찬가지이다. 우리는 모두 흙으로 창조된 자들이다.
  2. 그러므로 너는 나를 두려워할 이유가 없다. 나는 너를 억누르지 않을 것이다.
  3. 나는 네가 계속 이렇게 말하는 것을 들었다.
  4. 나는 깨끗하며 죄가 없고 허물도 없으며 잘못한 것이 아무것도 없다.
  5. 그런데도 하나님은 나를 칠 구실을 찾고 나를 원수처럼 대하시며
  1. "Behold, I belong to God like you; I too have been formed out of the clay.
  2. "Behold, no fear of me should terrify you, Nor should my pressure weigh heavily on you.
  3. "Surely you have spoken in my hearing, And I have heard the sound of your words:
  4. 'I am pure, without transgression; I am innocent and there is no guilt in me.
  5. 'Behold, He invents pretexts against me; He counts me as His enemy.
  1. 내 발에 쇠고랑을 채우시고 나의 모든 행동을 일일이 감시하신다.
  2. 그러나 내가 너에게 말하고 싶은 것은 네가 그런 식으로 하나님께 말하는 그 자체가 잘못되었다는 것이다. 하나님은 사람보다 더 위대하신 분이시다.
  3. 하나님이 사람의 말에 대답하지 않는다고 어째서 네가 그에게 불평하느냐?
  4. 하나님이 여러 가지 방법으로 계속 말씀하셔도 사람이 그의 말에 귀를 기울이지 않는다.
  5. 하나님은 사람이 밤에 깊이 잠들 때에도 꿈과 환상 가운데서 말씀하시며
  1. 'He puts my feet in the stocks; He watches all my paths.'
  2. "Behold, let me tell you, you are not right in this, For God is greater than man.
  3. "Why do you complain against Him That He does not give an account of all His doings?
  4. "Indeed God speaks once, Or twice, yet no one notices it.
  5. "In a dream, a vision of the night, When sound sleep falls on men, While they slumber in their beds,
  1. 그들의 귀를 열어 그 말씀을 듣게 하시고 경고하여 그들을 놀라게 하신다.
  2. 하나님이 이렇게 하시는 것은 사람을 잘못된데서 돌이키시고 그들이 교만하지 않게 하기 위해서이다.
  3. 하나님은 사람이 멸망하도록 버려 두지 않으시고 그 생명을 죽음에서 구해 내신다.
  4. 또 하나님은 사람을 깨우치기 위해서 그에게 질병과 고통을 주시는 때도 있다.
  5. 이럴 경우 사람은 입맛을 잃어 아무리 맛있는 음식이라도 쳐다보기가 싫어지며
  1. Then He opens the ears of men, And seals their instruction,
  2. That He may turn man aside from his conduct, And keep man from pride;
  3. He keeps back his soul from the pit, And his life from passing over into Sheol.
  4. "Man is also chastened with pain on his bed, And with unceasing complaint in his bones;
  5. So that his life loathes bread, And his soul favorite food.
  1. 그의 몸은 점점 쇠약해져서 뼈와 가죽만 남게 되고
  2. 결국 그는 죽음 직전에 이르게 된다.
  3. 만일 이때 하나님의 수많은 천사 중 하나가 그 사람의 중재자로 나타나서 그에게 옳은 길을 보여 준다면
  4. 하나님은 그를 불쌍히 여겨 천사에게 '그를 살려 주어라. 그를 죽게 해서는 안 된다. 내가 그의 몸값을 찾았다.' 하고 말씀하실 것이다.
  5. 그러면 그의 몸이 젊은 시절과 마찬가지로 다시 회복될 것이다.
  1. "His flesh wastes away from sight, And his bones which were not seen stick out.
  2. "Then his soul draws near to the pit, And his life to those who bring death.
  3. "If there is an angel as mediator for him, One out of a thousand, To remind a man what is right for him,
  4. Then let him be gracious to him, and say, 'Deliver him from going down to the pit, I have found a ransom';
  5. Let his flesh become fresher than in youth, Let him return to the days of his youthful vigor;
  1. 그리고 그가 하나님에 기도하면 하나님은 그의 기도를 듣고 그를 기쁘게 받아들일 것이며 그는 또 기쁨으로 하나님을 뵈올 수 있고 하나님도 그와의 의로운 관계를 회복시킬 것이다.
  2. 그러면 그는 '내가 범죄하였으나 하나님은 나를 살려 주셨다.
  3. 그가 나를 죽지 않게 하셨으므로 내가 다시 살아 빛을 보게 되었구나.' 하고 사람들에게 말하게 될 것이다.
  4. 하나님이 사람에게 이런 일을 두 번 세 번 거듭 되풀이하시는 이유는
  5. 그 영혼을 구원하여 그를 생명의 빛 가운데서 살게 하기 위해서이다.
  1. Then he will pray to God, and He will accept him, That he may see His face with joy, And He may restore His righteousness to man.
  2. "He will sing to men and say, 'I have sinned and perverted what is right, And it is not proper for me.
  3. 'He has redeemed my soul from going to the pit, And my life shall see the light.'
  4. "Behold, God does all these oftentimes with men,
  5. To bring back his soul from the pit, That he may be enlightened with the light of life.
  1. 욥, 너는 내가 하는 말에 조용히 귀를 기울여라. 내가 좀더 말하겠다.
  2. 만일 네가 할 말이 있거든 하여라. 나는 너의 의로운 점을 인정해 주고 싶다
  3. 그러나 할 말이 없으면 조용히 내 말을 들어라. 내가 너에게 지혜를 가르치겠다.'
  1. "Pay attention, O Job, listen to me; Keep silent, and let me speak.
  2. "Then if you have anything to say, answer me; Speak, for I desire to justify you.
  3. "If not, listen to me; Keep silent, and I will teach you wisdom."
