욥기 37:1-38:41

 엘리후는 욥에게 자연을 통해 나타난 하나님의 위엄과 능력을 생각하라고 하였다. 그런데 그때 하나님께서 직접 개입하셔서 폭풍 가운데 욥에게 나타나셨다. 그리고 하나님은 욥에게 질문하시고 그의 답변을 요구하셨다.
  
  욥에게 말씀하시는 하나님(37:1-38:41)    
 
  1. 이것 때문에 내 마음이 떨리는구나.
  2. 하나님의 음성, 곧 그 입에서 나오는 천둥 소리를 들어라.
  3. 그는 먼저 번개를 쳐서 그 빛이 땅 끝까지 이르게 하시고
  4. 그 후에 그의 위엄 있는 음성으로 계속 우뢰 소리를 발하신다.
  5. 하나님은 신기한 방법으로 음성을 발하시고 우리가 이해할 수 없는 놀라운 일을 행하신다.
  1. "At this also my heart trembles, And leaps from its place.
  2. "Listen closely to the thunder of His voice, And the rumbling that goes out from His mouth.
  3. "Under the whole heaven He lets it loose, And His lightning to the ends of the earth.
  4. "After it, a voice roars; He thunders with His majestic voice, And He does not restrain the lightnings when His voice is heard.
  5. "God thunders with His voice wondrously, Doing great things which we cannot comprehend.
  1. 그는 명령 한 마디로 땅에 눈이 내리게 하시며 소나기와 폭우도 쏟아지게 하신다.
  2. 이렇게 해서 하나님이 사람들의 일손을 멈추게 하는 이유는 그가 지으신 모든 사람들이 그가 하시는 일을 깨달아 알도록 하기 위해서이다.
  3. 이때 짐승들은 숨을 곳을 찾아 거기서 머물게 된다.
  4. 남쪽에서 폭풍이 불고 북쪽에서 찬 바람이 불며
  5. 하나님의 입 기운에 물이 얼음으로 변한다.
  1. "For to the snow He says, 'Fall on the earth,' And to the downpour and the rain, 'Be strong.'
  2. "He seals the hand of every man, That all men may know His work.
  3. "Then the beast goes into its lair And remains in its den.
  4. "Out of the south comes the storm, And out of the north the cold.
  5. "From the breath of God ice is made, And the expanse of the waters is frozen.
  1. 그가 구름에 습기를 잔뜩 실어 그것을 사방 흩으시므로
  2. 그 구름은 하나님이 인도하는 대로 온 세상을 떠돌아다니면서 그가 명령하시는 것을 이 땅에 이행한다.
  3. 하나님은 그 구름으로 사람을 벌하기도 하시고 땅에 비를 내려 그의 사랑을 보여 주기도 하신다.
  4. 욥, 너는 이것을 듣고 가만히 서서 하나님이 행하시는 신기한 일을 한번 생각해 보아라.
  5. 너는 하나님이 어떻게 명령을 내려 구름에서 번개가 번쩍번쩍하게 하시는지 알고 있느냐?
  1. "Also with moisture He loads the thick cloud; He disperses the cloud of His lightning.
  2. "It changes direction, turning around by His guidance, That it may do whatever He commands it On the face of the inhabited earth.
  3. "Whether for correction, or for His world, Or for lovingkindness, He causes it to happen.
  4. "Listen to this, O Job, Stand and consider the wonders of God.
  5. "Do you know how God establishes them, And makes the lightning of His cloud to shine?
  1. 너는 구름이 균형을 잃지 않고 떠다니는 것과 안전한 지식을 가지신 분이 행하시는 놀라운 일을 이해할 수 있겠느냐?
  2. 남풍이 불어 땅이 고요할 때에 네가 더운 이유를 아느냐?
  3. 너 같으면 하늘을 펴서 하나의 거대한 놋거울처럼 단단하게 할 수 있겠느냐?
  4. 너는 우리가 하나님께 할 말을 가르쳐다오. 우리는 마음이 어두워서 무슨 말을 해야 할지 모르겠다.
  5. 내가 말하고 싶은 것을 어떻게 하나님께 말할 수 있겠느냐? 내가 무엇 때문에 그가 나를 삼켜 버리기를 바라겠느냐?
  1. "Do you know about the layers of the thick clouds, The wonders of one perfect in knowledge,
  2. You whose garments are hot, When the land is still because of the south wind?
  3. "Can you, with Him, spread out the skies, Strong as a molten mirror?
  4. "Teach us what we shall say to Him; We cannot arrange our case because of darkness.
  5. "Shall it be told Him that I would speak? Or should a man say that he would be swallowed up?
  1. 바람이 하늘의 구름을 말끔히 씻어 가면 우리는 광채 때문에 태양을 제대로 볼 수가 없다.
  2. 마찬가지로 하나님이 금빛 찬란한 광채로 북쪽에서 나타나시면 우리는 그의 두려운 위엄 때문에 감히 그를 바라볼 수가 없다.
  3. 우리는 전능하신 하나님을 측량할 수가 없다. 그는 능력이 크고 모든 일에 의롭고 공정하신 분이시다.
  4. 그래서 사람들은 그를 두렵게 여기고 있다. 하나님은 마음에 스스로 지혜롭다고 생각하는 자를 무시하신다.'
  1. "Now men do not see the light which is bright in the skies; But the wind has passed and cleared them.
  2. "Out of the north comes golden splendor; Around God is awesome majesty.
  3. "The Almighty--we cannot find Him; He is exalted in power And He will not do violence to justice and abundant righteousness.
  4. "Therefore men fear Him; He does not regard any who are wise of heart."
 
 
  1. 그때 여호와께서 폭풍 가운데서 욥에게 말씀하셨다.
  2. '무식한 말로 내 뜻을 흐리게 하는 자가 누구냐?
  3. 이제 너는 남자답게 일어나 내가 묻는 말에 대답하라.
  4. 내가 땅에 기초를 놓을 때에 너는 어디 있었느냐? 네가 그렇게 많이 알면 한번 말해 보아라.
  5. 누가 그 크기를 정하였으며 누가 그 위에 측량줄을 대어 보았는지 너는 알고 있느냐?
  1. Then the LORD answered Job out of the whirlwind and said,
  2. "Who is this that darkens counsel By words without knowledge?
  3. "Now gird up your loins like a man, And I will ask you, and you instruct Me!
  4. "Where were you when I laid the foundation of the earth? Tell Me, if you have understanding,
  5. Who set its measurements? Since you know. Or who stretched the line on it?
  1. 땅의 기초를 받치고 있는 것이 무엇이냐? 새벽 별들이 함께 노래하며 하늘의 천사들이 기뻐 외치는 가운데 땅의 모퉁이 돌을 놓은 자가 누구냐?
  2. (6절과 같음)
  3. 바닷물이 깊은 곳에서 쏟아져 나올 때 누가 그 물을 막아 바다의 한계를 정하였느냐?
  4. 그때 구름으로 바다를 덮고 흑암으로 그것을 감싸며 해안으로 그 한계를 정하여 '네가 여기까지만 오고 그 이상은 넘어가지 못한다. 너 교만한 물결은 여기서 멈춰라' 하고 말한 자는 바로 나였다.
  5. (9절과 같음)
  1. "On what were its bases sunk? Or who laid its cornerstone,
  2. When the morning stars sang together And all the sons of God shouted for joy?
  3. "Or who enclosed the sea with doors When, bursting forth, it went out from the womb;
  4. When I made a cloud its garment And thick darkness its swaddling band,
  5. And I placed boundaries on it And set a bolt and doors,
  1. (9절과 같음)
  2. 네가 지금까지 한 번이라도 아침이 되라고 명령하여 동이 트게 한 적이 있느냐?
  3. 네가 땅 끝까지 새벽 빛이 비치게 하여 악인들이 악을 멈추게 한 일이 있느냐?
  4. 동이 트자 땅이 진흙이 도장을 친 것처럼 나타나고 그 모양은 주름잡힌 옷과 같으며
  5. 그 빛은 악인들에게 너무 밝아 그들의 폭행을 저지한다.
  1. And I said, 'Thus far you shall come, but no farther; And here shall your proud waves stop'?
  2. "Have you ever in your life commanded the morning, And caused the dawn to know its place,
  3. That it might take hold of the ends of the earth, And the wicked be shaken out of it?
  4. "It is changed like clay under the seal; And they stand forth like a garment.
  5. "From the wicked their light is withheld, And the uplifted arm is broken.
  1. 네가 바다 근원에 들어가 보았느냐? 네가 바다 밑바닥을 걸어 다녀 보았느냐?
  2. 죽음의 문이 너에게 나타난 적이 있으며 네가 사망의 그늘진 문을 본 적이 있느냐?
  3. 땅이 얼마나 넓은지 네가 이해할 수 있겠느냐? 네가 알면 나에게 말해 보아라.
  4. 빛은 어디서 오며 어두움의 근원은 무엇인지 네가 알고 있느냐?
  5. 너는 빛과 어두움의 범위가 얼마나 되는지 알고 있으며 그 근원까지 가는 길을 아느냐?
  1. "Have you entered into the springs of the sea Or walked in the recesses of the deep?
  2. "Have the gates of death been revealed to you, Or have you seen the gates of deep darkness?
  3. "Have you understood the expanse of the earth? Tell Me, if you know all this.
  4. "Where is the way to the dwelling of light? And darkness, where is its place,
  5. That you may take it to its territory And that you may discern the paths to its home?
  1. 네가 나이를 많이 먹었으니 알고 있을지도 모르겠다.
  2. 너는 눈 창고에 가 본 일이 있으며 우박 창고를 본 일이 있느냐?
  3. 나는 이것들을 환난 때나 전쟁시를 위해서 저장해 놓았다.
  4. 너는 빛이 확산되는 지점과 동풍이 땅으로 흩어지는 지점에 가 본 일이 있느냐?
  5. 폭우가 흘러 내려가는 골짜기 길을 누가 만들었으며 번개가 다니는 길을 누가 만들었느냐?
  1. "You know, for you were born then, And the number of your days is great!
  2. "Have you entered the storehouses of the snow, Or have you seen the storehouses of the hail,
  3. Which I have reserved for the time of distress, For the day of war and battle?
  4. "Where is the way that the light is divided, Or the east wind scattered on the earth?
  5. "Who has cleft a channel for the flood, Or a way for the thunderbolt,
  1. 누가 사람이 살지 않는 곳에 비를 내리며
  2. 메마른 땅을 축축하게 하여 풀이 나게 하는가?
  3. 비에게도 아비가 있느냐? 이슬 방울은 누가 낳았느냐?
  4. 얼음과 서리의 어미는 누구냐?
  5. 이것 때문에 물이 돌같이 굳어지고 해면이 얼게 된다.
  1. To bring rain on a land without people, On a desert without a man in it,
  2. To satisfy the waste and desolate land And to make the seeds of grass to sprout?
  3. "Has the rain a father? Or who has begotten the drops of dew?
  4. "From whose womb has come the ice? And the frost of heaven, who has given it birth?
  5. "Water becomes hard like stone, And the surface of the deep is imprisoned.
  1. 네가 묘성을 한데 묶어 놓을 수 있으며 오리온 별자리의 띠를 풀어 놓을 수 있겠느냐?
  2. 네가 계절마다 제때에 별을 이끌어낼 수 있으며 곰자리를 인도할 수 있겠느냐?
  3. 네가 하늘의 법칙을 알고 그 법칙이 땅에 적용될 수 있도록 하겠느냐?
  4. 너는 구름에게 큰 소리로 명령하여 그것이 비가 되어 네 위에 내리게 할 수 있겠느냐?
  5. 네가 번개를 보내 그것으로 네가 가리키는 곳을 치게 할 수 있느냐?
  1. "Can you bind the chains of the Pleiades, Or loose the cords of Orion?
  2. "Can you lead forth a constellation in its season, And guide the Bear with her satellites?
  3. "Do you know the ordinances of the heavens, Or fix their rule over the earth?
  4. "Can you lift up your voice to the clouds, So that an abundance of water will cover you?
  5. "Can you send forth lightnings that they may go And say to you, 'Here we are'?
  1. 누가 마음에 지혜와 깨닫는 마음을 주었느냐?
  2. 구름을 셀 수 있을 만큼 지혜로운 자가 누구며 하늘의 물병을 쏟아
  3. 먼지나 티끌이 덩어리가 되게 할 수 있는 자가 누구냐?
  4. 너는 사자들이 굴에 엎드려 있거나 숲속에 누워 기다리고 있을 때 그들의 먹이를 사냥하여 그 새끼들의 굶주린 배를 채워 줄 수 있겠느냐?
  5. (39절과 같음)
  1. "Who has put wisdom in the innermost being Or given understanding to the mind?
  2. "Who can count the clouds by wisdom, Or tip the water jars of the heavens,
  3. When the dust hardens into a mass And the clods stick together?
  4. "Can you hunt the prey for the lion, Or satisfy the appetite of the young lions,
  5. When they crouch in their dens And lie in wait in their lair?
  1. 까마귀 새끼가 배가 고파 버둥거리며 나를 향해 부르짖을 때 그것들을 위해서 먹을 것을 마련해 주는 자가 누구냐?
  1. "Who prepares for the raven its nourishment When its young cry to God And wander about without food?
