에스겔 16:23-17:24

 하나님께서는 예루살렘의 죄악을 지적하시며 이로 인해 예루살렘이 수치를 당할 것이라고 말씀하셨다. 그러나 하나님의 은혜를 깨닫게 된 유다 백성들은 다시 회복시키고 그들과 영원한 언약을 세우시겠다고 약속하셨다. 또한 시드기야를 포도나무에, 느부갓네살 왕을 독수리에 비유하여 시드기야가 하나님의 명령을 어기고 바벨론을 배반하였기 때문에 유다가 멸망하게 될 것이라고 경고하셨다.
  
  유다에 임할 심판(16:23-16:63)    
 
  1. 나 여호와가 말한다. 너에게 화가 있을 것이다. 너는 그 모든 악을 행하고서도
  2. 너를 위해 우상의 신전을 짓고 모든 광장에 사당을 세웠다.
  3. 네가 길목마다 높은 사당을 세워 아름다움을 헌신짝처럼 내동댕이치고 지나가는 모든 자에게 몸을 바쳐 아주 난잡하게 음행하였다.
  4. 또 너는 너의 음란한 이웃인 이집트 사람들과 음행하여 나의 분노를 일으켰다.
  5. 그러므로 내가 손으로 너를 쳐서 네 영토를 줄이고 너를 미워하여 너의 더러운 행위를 역겹게 생각하는 블레셋 사람들에게 너를 넘겨 주었다.
  1. "Then it came about after all your wickedness ('Woe, woe to you!' declares the Lord GOD),
  2. that you built yourself a shrine and made yourself a high place in every square.
  3. "You built yourself a high place at the top of every street and made your beauty abominable, and you spread your legs to every passer-by to multiply your harlotry.
  4. "You also played the harlot with the Egyptians, your lustful neighbors, and multiplied your harlotry to make Me angry.
  5. "Behold now, I have stretched out My hand against you and diminished your rations. And I delivered you up to the desire of those who hate you, the daughters of the Philistines, who are ashamed of your lewd conduct.
  1. 네가 음욕이 차지 않아서 앗시리아 사람들과도 음행하고 그것도 부족하여
  2. 상업의 나라 바빌로니아 사람들과도 음행하였으나 너는 만족을 얻지 못하였다.
  3. 나 주 여호와가 말한다. 네가 뻔뻔스러운 창녀처럼 이 모든 일을 행하니 네가 정말 타락하였구나.
  4. 네가 모든 길목에 신전을 짓고 모든 광장에 높은 사당을 세우고서도 돈을 싫어하는 것을 보면 창녀 같지도 않다.
  5. 너는 사랑하는 남편을 두고 낯선 사람과 간음하는 음란한 아내이다.
  1. "Moreover, you played the harlot with the Assyrians because you were not satisfied; you played the harlot with them and still were not satisfied.
  2. "You also multiplied your harlotry with the land of merchants, Chaldea, yet even with this you were not satisfied."'"
  3. "How languishing is your heart," declares the Lord GOD, "while you do all these things, the actions of a bold-faced harlot.
  4. "When you built your shrine at the beginning of every street and made your high place in every square, in disdaining money, you were not like a harlot.
  5. "You adulteress wife, who takes strangers instead of her husband!
  1. 보통 창녀는 화대를 받는데 너는 너의 모든 연인들에게 선물을 주고 뇌물까지 주어 사방에서 너에게 몰려들어 너와 음행하게 하였다.
  2. 그러므로 너는 다른 창녀와는 다르다. 너를 따라다니면서 음행하자고 치근거리는 자는 아무도 없다. 그리고 너는 화대를 받는 것이 아니라 오히려 주기 때문에 다른 창녀와 같지 않다.
  3. 그러므로 너 창녀야, 나 여호와의 말을 들어라.
  4. 나 주 여호와가 말한다. 너는 네 정욕을 쏟고 네 연인과 음행함으로 네 나체를 드러내고 또 더러운 우상을 섬기며 네 자녀의 피를 그 우상에게 바쳤다.
  5. 그래서 네가 정을 주고받던 연인들과 네가 사랑하고 미워하던 모든 자들을 내가 사방에서 불러모아 그들 앞에서 너를 벌거벗겨 그들이 네 나체를 다 보게 할 것이다.
  1. "Men give gifts to all harlots, but you give your gifts to all your lovers to bribe them to come to you from every direction for your harlotries.
  2. "Thus you are different from those women in your harlotries, in that no one plays the harlot as you do, because you give money and no money is given you; thus you are different."
  3. Therefore, O harlot, hear the word of the LORD.
  4. Thus says the Lord GOD, "Because your lewdness was poured out and your nakedness uncovered through your harlotries with your lovers and with all your detestable idols, and because of the blood of your sons which you gave to idols,
  5. therefore, behold, I will gather all your lovers with whom you took pleasure, even all those whom you loved and all those whom you hated So I will gather them against you from every direction and expose your nakedness to them that they may see all your nakedness.
  1. 간음하고 살인한 여인이 심문을 받는 것처럼 내가 너를 심문하고 분노와 질투로 너에게 피의 보복을 하겠다.
  2. 내가 너를 그들의 손에 넘겨줄 것이니 그들이 너의 신전과 높은 산당을 헐고 네 옷을 벗기며 패물을 빼앗고 너를 벌거벗긴 채 내버려 둘 것이다.
  3. 또 그들은 군중을 선동할 것이며 군중들은 너를 돌로 치고 칼로 난도질하며
  4. 너의 집에 불을 지르고 많은 여자들이 보는 앞에서 너를 벌할 것이다. 내가 너에게 창녀짓을 못하게 하겠다. 네가 다시는 연인들에게 화대를 주지 못할 것이다.
  5. 그러면 너에 대한 내 분노가 그치며 나의 질투심이 네게서 떠나고 내 마음이 안정되어 다시는 노하지 않을 것이다.
  1. "Thus I will judge you like women who commit adultery or shed blood are judged; and I will bring on you the blood of wrath and jealousy.
  2. "I will also give you into the hands of your lovers, and they will tear down your shrines, demolish your high places, strip you of your clothing, take away your jewels, and will leave you naked and bare.
  3. "They will incite a crowd against you and they will stone you and cut you to pieces with their swords.
  4. "They will burn your houses with fire and execute judgments on you in the sight of many women Then I will stop you from playing the harlot, and you will also no longer pay your lovers.
  5. "So I will calm My fury against you and My jealousy will depart from you, and I will be pacified and angry no more.
  1. 네가 어렸을 때를 기억하지 않고 이 모든 일로 내 분노를 일으켰으므로 네가 행한 대로 내가 너에게 갚아 주겠다. 네가 어째서 너의 모든 더러운 일에 음행까지 더하였느냐?
  2. 사람들이 너 예루살렘에 대하여 '그 어미에 그 딸'이란 속담을 인용하여 말할 것이다.
  3. 너는 남편과 자녀를 싫어한 어머니의 딸이며 그 남편과 자녀를 싫어한 언니의 동생이다. 너의 어머니는 헷 사람이요 너의 아버지는 아모리 사람이며
  4. 네 언니는 딸들을 거느리고 북쪽에 살고 있는 사마리아요 네 동생은 딸들과 함께 남쪽에 살고 있는 소돔이다.
  5. 너는 그들을 본받아 그들이 행한 것과 같은 더러운 일을 행하였을 뿐만 아니라 오히려 너의 행위는 그들보다 더 부패하였다.
  1. "Because you have not remembered the days of your youth but have enraged Me by all these things, behold, I in turn will bring your conduct down on your own head," declares the Lord GOD, "so that you will not commit this lewdness on top of all your other abominations.
  2. "Behold, everyone who quotes proverbs will quote this proverb concerning you, saying, 'Like mother, like daughter.'
  3. "You are the daughter of your mother, who loathed her husband and children. You are also the sister of your sisters, who loathed their husbands and children. Your mother was a Hittite and your father an Amorite.
  4. "Now your older sister is Samaria, who lives north of you with her daughters; and your younger sister, who lives south of you, is Sodom with her daughters.
  5. "Yet you have not merely walked in their ways or done according to their abominations; but, as if that were too little, you acted more corruptly in all your conduct than they.
  1. 살아 있는 나 주 여호와가 말하지만 네 동생 소돔과 그 딸들도 너와 네 딸들이 행한 것 같은 짓은 하지 않았다.
  2. 네 동생 소돔이 범한 죄는 그와 그 딸들이 먹을 것이 많고 아무 걱정 없이 태평 세월을 누리게 되자 그들의 마음이 교만하여 가난하고 불쌍한 자를 도와 주지 않은 것과
  3. 거만하여 내 앞에서 더러운 일을 행한 것이다. 그래서 너도 보았지만 내가 그들을 없애 버렸다.
  4. 사마리아는 네가 범한 죄의 절반도 행하지 않았다. 네가 그보다 더 더러운 짓을 하였으므로 네가 행한 그 모든 더러운 일에 비할 때 너의 언니와 동생이 오히려 의로운 것처럼 보인다.
  5. 네가 네 언니와 동생을 좋게 판단하도록 하였으니 너는 네 수치를 감당해야 하다. 네 죄가 그들보다 더 악하므로 그들이 너보다 의롭게 보인다. 네가 네 언니와 동생을 의롭게 보이도록 하였으므로 너는 부끄러움을 느끼고 네 수치를 감당하라.
  1. "As I live," declares the Lord GOD, "Sodom, your sister and her daughters have not done as you and your daughters have done.
  2. "Behold, this was the guilt of your sister Sodom: she and her daughters had arrogance, abundant food and careless ease, but she did not help the poor and needy.
  3. "Thus they were haughty and committed abominations before Me Therefore I removed them when I saw it.
  4. "Furthermore, Samaria did not commit half of your sins, for you have multiplied your abominations more than they. Thus you have made your sisters appear righteous by all your abominations which you have committed.
  5. "Also bear your disgrace in that you have made judgment favorable for your sisters. Because of your sins in which you acted more abominably than they, they are more in the right than you. Yes, be also ashamed and bear your disgrace, in that you made your sisters appear righteous.
  1. 그러나 내가 소돔과 그 딸들과 사마리아와 그 딸들을 회복시키고 너도 그들과 함께 회복시키겠다.
  2. 너는 네가 행한 모든 일에 대해서 부끄러움을 느낄 것이며 네가 당하는 수치가 그들에게 위로가 될 것이다.
  3. 너의 자매인 소돔과 그 딸들과 사마리아와 그 딸들이 이전 상태로 되돌아갈 것이며 너와 네 딸들도 이전 상태로 되돌아갈 것이다.
  4. 너는 교만하던 날에 네 동생 소돔을 언급조차 하지 않았다.
  5. 그 때는 네 악이 드러나기 전이었다. 이제 너는 에돔의 딸들과 블레셋 사람의 딸들과 네 주변에 있는 자들에게 멸시를 당하고 있다.
  1. "Nevertheless, I will restore their captivity, the captivity of Sodom and her daughters, the captivity of Samaria and her daughters, and along with them your own captivity,
  2. in order that you may bear your humiliation and feel ashamed for all that you have done when you become a consolation to them.
  3. "Your sisters, Sodom with her daughters and Samaria with her daughters, will return to their former state, and you with your daughters will also return to your former state.
  4. "As the name of your sister Sodom was not heard from your lips in your day of pride,
  5. before your wickedness was uncovered, so now you have become the reproach of the daughters of Edom and of all who are around her, of the daughters of the Philistines--those surrounding you who despise you.
  1. 너는 네가 행한 음란과 더러운 일이 대해서 그 댓가를 치러야 할 것이다.
  2. 나 주 여호와가 말한다. 네가 약속을 무시하고 계약을 깨뜨렸으므로 네가 행한 것만큼 내가 너에게 갚아 주겠다.
  3. 그러나 네가 어렸을 때 내가 너와 맺은 계약을 기억하고 너와 영원한 계약을 세우겠다.
  4. 네가 네 자매인 사마리아와 소돔을 맞아들이게 될 때 네 행위를 기억하고 부끄러움을 느낄 것이다. 내가 그들을 너에게 딸로 줄 것이나 너와 세운 계약 때문은 아니다.
  5. 내가 너와 새로운 계약을 세울 것이니 네가 나를 여호와인 줄 알 것이다.
  1. "You have borne the penalty of your lewdness and abominations," the LORD declares.
  2. For thus says the Lord GOD, "I will also do with you as you have done, you who have despised the oath by breaking the covenant.
  3. "Nevertheless, I will remember My covenant with you in the days of your youth, and I will establish an everlasting covenant with you.
  4. "Then you will remember your ways and be ashamed when you receive your sisters, both your older and your younger; and I will give them to you as daughters, but not because of your covenant.
  5. "Thus I will establish My covenant with you, and you shall know that I am the LORD,
  1. 네가 행한 모든 일을 내가 용서할 때에 너는 그 일을 기억하고 부끄러워서 다시는 네 입을 열지 못할 것이다. 이것은 나 주 여호와의 말이다.'
  1. so that you may remember and be ashamed and never open your mouth anymore because of your humiliation, when I have forgiven you for all that you have done," the Lord GOD declares.
 
  독수리와 포도나무 비유(17:1-17:24)    
 
  1. 여호와께서 나에게 말씀하셨다.
  2. '사람의 아들아, 너는 이 비유를 이스라엘 백성에게 말하고
  3. 나 주 여호와가 하는 말을 그들에게 알게 하라. '큰 날개와 긴 깃과 여러 가지 색깔의 많은 털을 가진 큰 독수리 한 마리가 있었는데 그것이 레바논으로 날아와서
  4. 백향목의 제일 위에 있는 연한 가지 하나를 꺾어 그것을 상인들의 도시로 가지고 가서 심었다.
  5. 또 그 독수리는 이스라엘 땅의 종자를 가져다가 수양버들처럼 물이 많은 물가의 옥토에 심었다.
  1. Now the word of the LORD came to me saying,
  2. "Son of man, propound a riddle and speak a parable to the house of Israel,
  3. saying, 'Thus says the Lord GOD, "A great eagle with great wings, long pinions and a full plumage of many colors came to Lebanon and took away the top of the cedar.
  4. "He plucked off the topmost of its young twigs and brought it to a land of merchants; he set it in a city of traders.
  5. "He also took some of the seed of the land and planted it in fertile soil He placed it beside abundant waters; he set it like a willow.
  1. 그것이 자라서 나지막하게 옆으로 퍼진 포도나무가 되어 그 가지는 독수리를 향하고 뿌리는 땅으로 뻗었으며 가지와 잎사귀가 무성하였다.
  2. 그런데 날개가 크고 털이 많은 또 다른 한 마리의 독수리가 있었다. 그 포도나무가 더 많은 물을 받으려고 그것이 심긴 자리에서 이 독수리를 향해 뿌리를 뻗고 가지를 뻗쳤다.
  3. 그 포도나무를 물가의 옥토에 심은 것은 그것이 가지를 내고 열매를 맺어서 훌륭한 포도나무가 되게 하기 위해서였다.
  4. 그러므로 나 주 여호와가 묻는다. 이 포도나무가 무성하게 잘 자라겠느냐? 그 처음 독수리가 뿌리를 뽑고 포도를 따며 가지를 꺾어 그 나무를 시들게 하고 연한 잎사귀를 다 마르게 하지 않겠느냐? 그 뿌리를 뽑는 데는 많은 사람이나 큰 힘이 필요하지 않을 것이다.
  5. 그것이 심겨졌다고 해서 무성하게 잘 자라겠느냐? 동풍이 불 때 그 자리에서 완전히 마르지 않겠느냐?'
  1. "Then it sprouted and became a low, spreading vine with its branches turned toward him, but its roots remained under it. So it became a vine and yielded shoots and sent out branches.
  2. "But there was another great eagle with great wings and much plumage; and behold, this vine bent its roots toward him and sent out its branches toward him from the beds where it was planted, that he might water it.
  3. "It was planted in good soil beside abundant waters, that it might yield branches and bear fruit and become a splendid vine."'
  4. "Say, 'Thus says the Lord GOD, "Will it thrive? Will he not pull up its roots and cut off its fruit, so that it withers--so that all its sprouting leaves wither? And neither by great strength nor by many people can it be raised from its roots again.
  5. "Behold, though it is planted, will it thrive? Will it not completely wither as soon as the east wind strikes it--wither on the beds where it grew?"'"
  1. 여호와께서 또 나에게 말씀하셨다.
  2. '너는 이 거역하는 백성들에게 이 비유가 무엇을 뜻하는지 아느냐고 물어 본 후에 나 여호와의 말을 이렇게 전하라. '바빌로니아 왕이 예루살렘으로 가서 왕과 그의 신하들을 바빌로니아로 끌어가고
  3. 왕족 중에 하나를 뽑아 그와 계약을 맺고 자기에게 충성할 것을 맹세하게 하였다. 그리고 그는 그 땅의 유능한 인재들을 다 끌어가
  4. 그 나라가 다시는 일어나지 못하게 하고 그 계약을 지켜야 간신히 생존하도록 하였다.
  5. 그러나 유다왕이 바빌로니아 왕을 배반하고 말과 군대를 얻기 위해 이집트로 사절단을 보냈다. 그가 이런 일을 행하고 과연 성공하겠느냐? 그가 계약을 어기고서 어떻게 무사할 수 있겠느냐?
  1. Moreover, the word of the LORD came to me, saying,
  2. "Say now to the rebellious house, 'Do you not know what these things mean?' Say, 'Behold, the king of Babylon came to Jerusalem, took its king and princes and brought them to him in Babylon.
  3. 'He took one of the royal family and made a covenant with him, putting him under oath He also took away the mighty of the land,
  4. that the kingdom might be in subjection, not exalting itself, but keeping his covenant that it might continue.
  5. 'But he rebelled against him by sending his envoys to Egypt that they might give him horses and many troops Will he succeed? Will he who does such things escape? Can he indeed break the covenant and escape?
  1. 살아 있는 나 주 여호와가 말하지만 그가 자기를 왕으로 세운 바빌로니아 왕에게 한 맹세를 무시하고 그와 맺은 계약을 어겼으므로 바빌로니아 땅에서 죽고 말 것이다.
  2. 적군이 많은 생명을 죽이려고 토성을 쌓고 흉벽을 세우는 그런 전쟁에서는 아무리 막강한 군대를 가진 이집트 왕이라 할지라도 그를 도와 주지 못할 것이다.
  3. 그는 자기가 한 맹세와 계약을 깨뜨리고 이 모든 일을 행하였으므로 피하지 못할 것이다.
  4. 그러므로 살아 있는 나 주 여호와가 말한다. 그가 내 이름으로 맹세하고 계약한 것을 깨뜨렸으므로 내가 반드시 그를 벌할 것이다.
  5. 내가 그물을 던져 그를 잡아 끌고 바빌로니아로 가서 나를 배신한 죄를 거기서 심문할 것이니
  1. 'As I live,' declares the Lord GOD, 'Surely in the country of the king who put him on the throne, whose oath he despised and whose covenant he broke, in Babylon he shall die.
  2. 'Pharaoh with his mighty army and great company will not help him in the war, when they cast up ramps and build siege walls to cut off many lives.
  3. 'Now he despised the oath by breaking the covenant, and behold, he pledged his allegiance, yet did all these things; he shall not escape.'"
  4. Therefore, thus says the Lord GOD, "As I live, surely My oath which he despised and My covenant which he broke, I will inflict on his head.
  5. "I will spread My net over him, and he will be caught in My snare Then I will bring him to Babylon and enter into judgment with him there regarding the unfaithful act which he has committed against Me.
  1. 그의 정예병들이 다 칼에 죽을 것이며 살아 남은 자들은 사방으로 흩어질 것이다. 그때 너희는 이것을 말한 자가 나 여호와임을 알게 될 것이다.
  2. 나 주 여호와가 말한다. 내가 백향목 꼭대기에서 연한 가지를 꺾어 이스라엘의 가장 높은 산에 심겠다. 그것이 자라서 가지가 무성하고 열매를 맺어 훌륭한 백향목이 될 것이며 갖가지 새들이 그 아래 깃들고 거기서 보금자리를 찾아 살 것이다.
  3. (22절과 같음)
  4. 들의 모든 나무들이 나 여호와는 높은 나무를 낮추고 낮은 나무를 높이며 푸른나무를 말리고 마른나무를 무성하게 하는 줄 알 것이다. 나 여호와가 말했으니 내가 반드시 이룰 것이다.'
  1. "All the choice men in all his troops will fall by the sword, and the survivors will be scattered to every wind; and you will know that I, the LORD, have spoken."
  2. Thus says the Lord GOD, "I will also take a sprig from the lofty top of the cedar and set it out; I will pluck from the topmost of its young twigs a tender one and I will plant it on a high and lofty mountain.
  3. "On the high mountain of Israel I will plant it, that it may bring forth boughs and bear fruit and become a stately cedar. And birds of every kind will nest under it; they will nest in the shade of its branches.
  4. "All the trees of the field will know that I am the LORD; I bring down the high tree, exalt the low tree, dry up the green tree and make the dry tree flourish. I am the LORD; I have spoken, and I will perform it."
