- At that time Jesus went on the sabbath day through the corn; and his disciples were an hungred, and began to pluck the ears of corn and to eat.
- But when the Pharisees saw it, they said unto him, Behold, thy disciples do that which is not lawful to do upon the sabbath day.
- But he said unto them, Have ye not read what David did, when he was an hungred, and they that were with him;
- How he entered into the house of God, and did eat the shewbread, which was not lawful for him to eat, neither for them which were with him, but only for the priests?
- Or have ye not read in the law, how that on the sabbath days the priests in the temple profane the sabbath, and are blameless?

- 그 때에 예수께서 안식일에 밀밭 사이로 가실쌔 제자들이 시장하여 이삭을 잘라 먹으니
- 바리새인들이 보고 예수께 고하되 보시오 당신의 제자들이 안식일에 하지 못할 일을 하나이다
- 예수께서 가라사대 다윗이 자기와 그 함께한 자들이 시장할 때에 한 일을 읽지 못하였느냐
- 그가 하나님의 전에 들어가서 제사장 외에는 자기나 그 함께한 자들이 먹지 못하는 진설병을 먹지 아니하였느냐
- 또 안식일에 제사장들이 성전 안에서 안식을 범하여도 죄가 없음을 너희가 율법에서 읽지 못하였느냐

- But I say unto you, That in this place is one greater than the temple.
- But if ye had known what this meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice, ye would not have condemned the guiltless.
- For the Son of man is Lord even of the sabbath day.
- And when he was departed thence, he went into their synagogue:
- And, behold, there was a man which had his hand withered. And they asked him, saying, Is it lawful to heal on the sabbath days? that they might accuse him.

- 내가 너희에게 이르노니 성전보다 더 큰이가 여기 있느니라
- 나는 자비를 원하고 제사를 원치 아니하노라 하신 뜻을 너희가 알았더면 무죄한 자를 죄로 정치 아니하였으리라
- 인자는 안식일의 주인이니라 하시니라
- 거기를 떠나 저희 회당에 들어가시니
- 한편 손 마른 사람이 있는지라 사람들이 예수를 송사하려 하여 물어 가로되 안식일에 병 고치는 것이 옳으니이까

- And he said unto them, What man shall there be among you, that shall have one sheep, and if it fall into a pit on the sabbath day, will he not lay hold on it, and lift it out?
- How much then is a man better than a sheep? Wherefore it is lawful to do well on the sabbath days.
- Then saith he to the man, Stretch forth thine hand. And he stretched it forth; and it was restored whole, like as the other.
- Then the Pharisees went out, and held a council against him, how they might destroy him.
- But when Jesus knew it, he withdrew himself from thence: and great multitudes followed him, and he healed them all;

- 예수께서 가라사대 너희 중에 어느 사람이 양 한 마리가 있어 안식일에 구덩이에 빠졌으면 붙잡아 내지 않겠느냐
- 사람이 양보다 얼마나 더 귀하냐 그러므로 안식일에 선을 행하는 것이 옳으니라 하시고
- 이에 그 사람에게 이르시되 손을 내밀라 하시니 저가 내밀매 다른 손과 같이 회복되어 성하더라
- 바리새인들이 나가서 어떻게 하여 예수를 죽일꼬 의논하거늘
- 예수께서 아시고 거기를 떠나가시니 사람이 많이 좇는지라 예수께서 저희 병을 다 고치시고

- And charged them that they should not make him known:
- That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying,
- Behold my servant, whom I have chosen; my beloved, in whom my soul is well pleased: I will put my spirit upon him, and he shall shew judgment to the Gentiles.
- He shall not strive, nor cry; neither shall any man hear his voice in the streets.
- A bruised reed shall he not break, and smoking flax shall he not quench, till he send forth judgment unto victory.

- 자기를 나타내지 말라 경계하셨으니
- 이는 선지자 이사야로 말씀하신바
- 보라 나의 택한 종 곧 내 마음에 기뻐하는바 나의 사랑하는 자로다 내가 내 성령을 줄터이니 그가 심판을 이방에 알게 하리라
- 그가 다투지도 아니하며 들레지도 아니하리니 아무도 길에서 그 소리를 듣지 못하리라
- 상한 갈대를 꺾지 아니하며 꺼져가는 심지를 끄지 아니하기를 심판하여 이길 때까지 하리니

- And in his name shall the Gentiles trust.

- 또한 이방들이 그 이름을 바라리라 함을 이루려 하심이니라
