- The words of Agur the son of Jakeh, even the prophecy: the man spake unto Ithiel, even unto Ithiel and Ucal,
- Surely I am more brutish than any man, and have not the understanding of a man.
- I neither learned wisdom, nor have the knowledge of the holy.
- Who hath ascended up into heaven, or descended? who hath gathered the wind in his fists? who hath bound the waters in a garment? who hath established all the ends of the earth? what is his name, and what is his son's name, if thou canst tell?
- Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him.

- 이 말씀은 야게의 아들 아굴의 잠언이니 그가 이디엘과 우갈에게 이른 것이니라
- 나는 다른 사람에게 비하면 짐승이라 내게는 사람의 총명이 있지 아니하니라
- 나는 지혜를 배우지 못하였고 또 거룩하신 자를 아는 지식이 없거니와
- 하늘에 올라갔다가 내려온 자가 누구인지, 바람을 그 장중에 모은 자가 누구인지, 물을 옷에 싼 자가 누구인지, 땅의 모든 끝을 정한 자가 누구인지, 그 이름이 무엇인지, 그 아들의 이름이 무엇인지 너는 아느냐
- 하나님의 말씀은 다 순전하며 하나님은 그를 의지하는 자의 방패시니라

- Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar.
- Two things have I required of thee; deny me them not before I die:
- Remove far from me vanity and lies: give me neither poverty nor riches; feed me with food convenient for me:
- Lest I be full, and deny thee, and say, Who is the LORD? or lest I be poor, and steal, and take the name of my God in vain.

- 너는 그 말씀에 더하지 말라 그가 너를 책망하시겠고 너는 거짓말 하는 자가 될까 두려우니라
- 내가 두가지 일을 주께 구하였사오니 나의 죽기 전에 주시옵소서
- 곧 허탄과 거짓말을 내게서 멀리 하옵시며 나로 가난하게도 마옵시고 부하게도 마옵시고 오직 필요한 양식으로 내게 먹이시옵소서
- 혹 내가 배불러서 하나님을 모른다 여호와가 누구냐 할까 하오며 혹 내가 가난하여 도적질하고 내 하나님의 이름을 욕되게 할까 두려워함이니이다
