- Then was brought unto him one possessed with a devil, blind, and dumb: and he healed him, insomuch that the blind and dumb both spake and saw.
- And all the people were amazed, and said, Is not this the son of David?
- But when the Pharisees heard it, they said, This fellow doth not cast out devils, but by Beelzebub the prince of the devils.
- And Jesus knew their thoughts, and said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand:
- And if Satan cast out Satan, he is divided against himself; how shall then his kingdom stand?

- 그 때 사람들은 마귀가 들려 눈이 멀고 벙어리가 된 사람 하나를 예수께 데려왔다. 예수께서 그를 고쳐주시자 그는 말도 하고 보게도 되었다.
- 그러자 모든 군중이 깜짝 놀라며 "이 사람이 혹시 다윗의 자손이 아닐까?" 하고 수군거렸다.
- 그러나 바리사이파 사람들은 이 말을 듣고 '그는 마귀의 두목 베엘제불의 힘을 빌려 마귀를 쫓아내고 있는 것이다.' 하고 헐뜯었다.
- 예수께서 그들의 생각을 알아채시고 이렇게 말씀하셨다. "어느 나라든지 갈라져서 서로 싸우면 망하고 어느 동네나 집안도 갈라져서 서로 싸우면 지탱하지 못한다.
- 그러므로 사탄이 사탄을 쫓아낸다면 그 나라는 이미 갈라진 것이다. 그래서야 그 나라가 어떻게 유지되겠느냐?

- And if I by Beelzebub cast out devils, by whom do your children cast them out? therefore they shall be your judges.
- But if I cast out devils by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God is come unto you.
- Or else how can one enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he first bind the strong man? and then he will spoil his house.
- He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathereth not with me scattereth abroad.
- Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men.

- 또 내가 너희의 말대로 베엘제불의 힘을 빌려 마귀를 쫓아낸다고 하면 너희네 사람들은 누구의 힘으로 마귀를 쫓아낸다는 말이냐? 그러니 바로 그 사람들이 너희의 말이 그르다는 것을 지적할 것이다.
- 그러나 나는 하느님께서 보내신 성령의 힘으로 마귀를 쫓아내고 있다. 그러니 하느님의 나라는 이미 너희에게 와 있는 것이다.
- 또 누가 힘센 사람의 집에 들어가서 그 세간을 빼앗아가려면 먼저 그 힘센 사람을 묶어놓아야 하지 않겠느냐? 그래야 그 집을 털어갈 수 있을 것이다.
- 내 편에 서지 않는 사람은 나를 반대하는 사람이며, 나와 함께 모아들이지 않는 사람은 헤치는 사람이다.
- 그러므로 잘 들어라. 사람들이 어떤 죄를 짓거나 모독하는 말을 하더라도 그것은 다 용서받을 수 있지만 성령을 거슬러 모독한 죄만은 용서받지 못할 것이다.

- And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come.
- Either make the tree good, and his fruit good; or else make the tree corrupt, and his fruit corrupt: for the tree is known by his fruit.
- O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.
- A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things.
- But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.

- 또 사람의 아들을 거역해서 말하는 사람은 용서받을 수 있어도 성령을 거역해서 말하는 사람은 현세에서도 내세에서도 용서받지 못할 것이다."
- "좋은 열매를 얻으려거든 좋은 나무를 길러라. 나무가 나쁘면 열매도 나쁘다. 열매를 보아 나무를 알 수 있다.
- 이 독사의 족속들아! 그렇게 악하면서 어떻게 선한 말을 할 수 있겠느냐? 결국 마음에 가득 찬 것이 입으로 나오는 법이다.
- 선한 사람은 선한 것을 마음에 쌓아두었다가 선한 것을 내놓고 악한 사람은 악한 것을 마음에 쌓아두었다가 악한 것을 내놓는 것이 아니겠느냐.
- 잘 들어라. 심판 날이 오면 자기가 지껄인 터무니없는 말을 낱낱이 해명해야 될 것이다.

- For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.
- Then certain of the scribes and of the Pharisees answered, saying, Master, we would see a sign from thee.
- But he answered and said unto them, An evil and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given to it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas:
- For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.
- The men of Nineveh shall rise in judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: because they repented at the preaching of Jonas; and, behold, a greater than Jonas is here.

- 네가 한 말에 따라서 너는 옳은 사람으로 인정받게도 되고 죄인으로 판결받게도 될 것이다."
- 그 때에 율법학자와 바리사이파 사람 몇이 예수께 "선생님, 우리에게 기적을 보여주셨으면 합니다." 하고 말하자
- 예수께서 이렇게 말씀하셨다. "악하고 절개 없는 이 세대가 기적을 요구하지만 예언자 요나의 기적밖에는 따로 보여줄 것이 없다.
- 요나가 큰 바다 괴물의 뱃속에서 삼 주야를 지냈던 것같이 사람의 아들도 땅 속에서 삼 주야를 보낼 것이다.
- 심판 날이 오면 니느웨 사람들이 이 세대와 함께 일어나 이 세대를 단죄할 것이다. 그들은 요나의 설교만 듣고도 회개하였던 것이다. 그런데 여기에 요나보다 더 큰 사람이 있다.

- The queen of the south shall rise up in the judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: for she came from the uttermost parts of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and, behold, a greater than Solomon is here.
- When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest, and findeth none.
- Then he saith, I will return into my house from whence I came out; and when he is come, he findeth it empty, swept, and garnished.
- Then goeth he, and taketh with himself seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter in and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first. Even so shall it be also unto this wicked generation.
- While he yet talked to the people, behold, his mother and his brethren stood without, desiring to speak with him.

- 심판 날이 오면 남쪽 나라의 여왕도 이 세대와 함께 일어나 이 세대를 단죄할 것이다. 그는 솔로몬의 지혜를 들으려고 땅 끝에서 왔던 것이다. 그러나 여기에 솔로몬보다 더 큰 사람이 있다."
- "악령이 어떤 사람 안에 들어 있다가 그에게서 나오면 물 없는 광야에서 쉴 곳을 찾아 헤맨다. 그러다가 찾지 못하면
- '전에 있던 집으로 되돌아가야지.' 하면서 다시 돌아간다. 돌아가서 그 집이 비어 있을 뿐만 아니라 말끔히 치워지고 잘 정돈되어 있는 것을 보고
- 그는 다시 나와 자기보다 더 흉악한 악령 일곱을 데리고 들어가 자리잡고 산다. 그러면 그 사람의 형편은 처음보다 더 비참하게 된다. 이 악한 세대도 그렇게 될 것이다."
- 예수께서 아직 군중에게 말씀하고 계실 때에 예수의 어머니와 형제들이 밖에 와 서서 예수와 말씀을 나눌 기회를 찾고 있었다.

- Then one said unto him, Behold, thy mother and thy brethren stand without, desiring to speak with thee.
- But he answered and said unto him that told him, Who is my mother? and who are my brethren?
- And he stretched forth his hand toward his disciples, and said, Behold my mother and my brethren!
- For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother.

- 그래서 어떤 사람이 예수께 "선생님, 선생님의 어머님과 형제분들이 선생님과 이야기를 하시겠다고 밖에 서서 찾고 계십니다." 하고 알려드렸다.
- 예수께서는 말을 전해 준 사람에게 "누가 내 어머니이고 내 형제들이냐?" 하고 물으셨다.
- 그리고 제자들을 가리키시며 "바로 이 사람들이 내 어머니이고 내 형제들이다.
- 하늘에 계신 내 아버지의 뜻을 실천하는 사람이면 누구나 다 내 형제요 자매요 어머니이다." 하고 말씀하셨다.
