- And the LORD spake unto Moses and Aaron in the land of Egypt saying,
- This month shall be unto you the beginning of months: it shall be the first month of the year to you.
- Speak ye unto all the congregation of Israel, saying, In the tenth day of this month they shall take to them every man a lamb, according to the house of their fathers, a lamb for an house:
- And if the household be too little for the lamb, let him and his neighbour next unto his house take it according to the number of the souls; every man according to his eating shall make your count for the lamb.
- Your lamb shall be without blemish, a male of the first year: ye shall take it out from the sheep, or from the goats:

- 야훼께서 이집트 땅에서 모세와 아론에게 이르셨다.
- "너희는 이 달을 한 해의 첫 달로 삼고, 달수를 이 달에서 시작하여 계산하여라.
- 너희는 이스라엘의 모든 회중에게 알려라. 이 달 십일에 사람마다 한 가문에 한 마리씩, 한 집에 한 마리씩 새끼 양을 마련해 놓아라.
- 만일 식구가 적어 새끼 양 한 마리가 너무 많거든 한 사람이 먹을 분량을 생각하여 옆집에서 그만큼 사람을 불러다가 먹도록 하여라.
- 흠이 없는 일 년 된 수컷이면 양이든 염소든 상관없다.

- And ye shall keep it up until the fourteenth day of the same month: and the whole assembly of the congregation of Israel shall kill it in the evening.
- And they shall take of the blood, and strike it on the two side posts and on the upper door post of the houses, wherein they shall eat it.
- And they shall eat the flesh in that night, roast with fire, and unleavened bread; and with bitter herbs they shall eat it.
- Eat not of it raw, nor sodden at all with water, but roast with fire; his head with his legs, and with the purtenance thereof.
- And ye shall let nothing of it remain until the morning; and that which remaineth of it until the morning ye shall burn with fire.

- 너희는 그것을 이 달 십사일까지 두었다가 이스라엘 온 회중이 모여서 해 질 무렵에 잡도록 하여라.
- 그리고 그 피를 받아, 그것을 먹을 집의 좌우 문설주와 문 상인방에 바르라고 하여라.
- 그 날 밤에 고기를 불에 구워 누룩 없는 빵과 쓴 나물을 곁들여 먹도록 하는데,
- 날로 먹거나 삶아 먹어서는 안 된다. 머리와 다리와 내장도 반드시 불에 구워 먹어야 한다.
- 그것을 아침까지 남겨두어서도 안 된다. 아침까지 남은 것은 불에 살라버려야 한다.

- And thus shall ye eat it; with your loins girded, your shoes on your feet, and your staff in your hand; and ye shall eat it in haste: it is the LORD's passover.
- For I will pass through the land of Egypt this night, and will smite all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and beast; and against all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgment: I am the LORD.
- And the blood shall be to you for a token upon the houses where ye are: and when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you, when I smite the land of Egypt.
- And this day shall be unto you for a memorial; and ye shall keep it a feast to the LORD throughout your generations; ye shall keep it a feast by an ordinance for ever.
- Seven days shall ye eat unleavened bread; even the first day ye shall put away leaven out of your houses: for whosoever eateth leavened bread from the first day until the seventh day, that soul shall be cut off from Israel.

- 그것을 먹을 때는 허리에 띠를 띠고 발에는 신을 신고 손에는 지팡이를 잡고 서둘러 먹어야 한다. 이것이 나 야훼에게 드리는 과월절이다.
- 그 날 밤 나는 이집트 땅을 지나가면서 전국에 있는 맏이들을 사람이건 짐승이건 모조리 치리라. 또 이집트의 신들도 모조리 심판하리라. 나는 야훼다.
- 집에 피가 묻어 있으면, 그것이 너희가 있는 집이라는 표가 되리라. 나는 이집트 땅을 칠 때에 그 피를 보고 너희를 쳐죽이지 않고 넘어가겠다. 너희가 재앙을 피하여 살리라.
- 이 날이야말로 너희가 기념해야 할 날이니, 너희는 이 날을 야훼께 올리는 축제일로 삼아 대대로 길이 지키도록 하여라.
- 너희는 칠 일간 누룩 없는 빵을 먹어야 한다. 아예 첫날에 집 안에서 누룩을 말끔히 치워버려야 한다. 첫날부터 이렛날까지 누룩 든 빵을 먹는 자는 누구든지 이스라엘에서 제명된다.

- And in the first day there shall be an holy convocation, and in the seventh day there shall be an holy convocation to you; no manner of work shall be done in them, save that which every man must eat, that only may be done of you.
- And ye shall observe the feast of unleavened bread; for in this selfsame day have I brought your armies out of the land of Egypt: therefore shall ye observe this day in your generations by an ordinance for ever.
- In the first month, on the fourteenth day of the month at even, ye shall eat unleavened bread, until the one and twentieth day of the month at even.
- Seven days shall there be no leaven found in your houses: for whosoever eateth that which is leavened, even that soul shall be cut off from the congregation of Israel, whether he be a stranger, or born in the land.
- Ye shall eat nothing leavened; in all your habitations shall ye eat unleavened bread.

- 첫날 거룩한 모임을 열고 칠 일째 되는 날에도 거룩한 모임을 열어라. 그 날에는 그 동안 먹을 것을 장만하는 일말고는 어떤 일도 해서는 안 된다.
- 너희는 무교절 축제를 지켜야 한다. 이 날은 바로 내가 너희 군대를 이집트 땅에서 이끌어낸 날이니, 너희는 대대로 이 날을 영원한 축제일로 정하고 지키도록 하여라.
- 정월 십사일 저녁부터 이십일 저녁까지 너희는 누룩 없는 빵을 먹어야 한다.
- 칠 일간 너희 집 안에서 누룩이 눈에 띄어서는 안 된다. 누룩이 든 음식을 먹은 자는 외국에서 와 사는 사람이든지 본고장 태생이든지 이스라엘 회중에서 제명되리라.
- 누룩이 든 것은 아무것도 입에 대지 마라. 너희가 어디에 머물러 살든지 누룩 없는 빵만을 먹어야 한다."

- Then Moses called for all the elders of Israel, and said unto them, Draw out and take you a lamb according to your families, and kill the passover.
- And ye shall take a bunch of hyssop, and dip it in the blood that is in the bason, and strike the lintel and the two side posts with the blood that is in the bason; and none of you shall go out at the door of his house until the morning.
- For the LORD will pass through to smite the Egyptians; and when he seeth the blood upon the lintel, and on the two side posts, the LORD will pass over the door, and will not suffer the destroyer to come in unto your houses to smite you.
- And ye shall observe this thing for an ordinance to thee and to thy sons for ever.
- And it shall come to pass, when ye be come to the land which the LORD will give you, according as he hath promised, that ye shall keep this service.

- 모세는 이스라엘의 장로들을 모두 불러다가 말하였다. "당신들은 집집마다 양을 한 마리씩 끌어다가 과월절 제물로 잡으시오.
- 우슬초 묶음을 가져다가 대야에 받은 피를 묻혀 문 상인방과 좌우 문설주에 바르시오. 아침까지 아무도 문 밖으로 나가서는 안 되오.
- 야훼께서 이집트인들을 치며 지나가시다가 문 상인방과 좌우 문설주에 바른 피를 보시고는 그 문을 그냥 지나가시고 파괴자를 당신들의 집에 들여보내어 치게 하는 일이 없게 하실 것이오.
- 당신들은 이것을 당신과 당신의 후손들을 위하여 길이 정해 놓고 반드시 지켜야 하오.
- 당신들은 야훼께서 주시겠다고 약속하신 땅에 가게 되거든 이 예식을 지키시오.

- And it shall come to pass, when your children shall say unto you, What mean ye by this service?
- That ye shall say, It is the sacrifice of the LORD's passover, who passed over the houses of the children of Israel in Egypt, when he smote the Egyptians, and delivered our houses. And the people bowed the head and worshipped.
- And the children of Israel went away, and did as the LORD had commanded Moses and Aaron, so did they.
- And it came to pass, that at midnight the LORD smote all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, from the firstborn of Pharaoh that sat on his throne unto the firstborn of the captive that was in the dungeon; and all the firstborn of cattle.
- And Pharaoh rose up in the night, he, and all his servants, and all the Egyptians; and there was a great cry in Egypt; for there was not a house where there was not one dead.

- 당신들의 자녀들이 이것이 무슨 예식이냐고 묻거든
- 이것은 야훼께 드리는 과월절 제사라고 일러주시오. 이집트인을 치실 때 이집트에 있는 이스라엘 백성들의 집을 그냥 지나가시어 우리의 집을 건져주신 야훼께 드리는 것이라고 일러주시오." 이 말씀을 듣고 백성은 엎드려 예배를 드렸다.
- 이스라엘 백성은 돌아가서 야훼께서 모세와 아론에게 분부하신 대로 하였다.
- 한밤중에 야훼께서 이집트 땅에 있는 모든 맏이들을 모조리 쳐죽이셨다. 왕위에 오를 파라오의 맏아들을 비롯하여 땅굴에 갇힌 포로의 맏아들과 짐승의 맏배에 이르기까지 다 쳐죽이셨다.
- 그러자 파라오와 그의 신하와 백성이 한밤중에 모두 일어났다. 이집트에서는 곡성이 터졌다. 초상 나지 않은 집은 한 집도 없었던 것이다.

- And he called for Moses and Aaron by night, and said, Rise up, and get you forth from among my people, both ye and the children of Israel; and go, serve the LORD, as ye have said.
- Also take your flocks and your herds, as ye have said, and be gone; and bless me also.
- And the Egyptians were urgent upon the people, that they might send them out of the land in haste; for they said, We be all dead men.
- And the people took their dough before it was leavened, their kneadingtroughs being bound up in their clothes upon their shoulders.
- And the children of Israel did according to the word of Moses; and they borrowed of the Egyptians jewels of silver, and jewels of gold, and raiment:

- 파라오는 밤중에 모세와 아론을 불러들여 말하였다. "너도 이스라엘 백성도 어서 내 백성에게서 떠나가거라. 너희가 말하던 대로 가서 야훼를 예배하여라.
- 너희가 요구한 대로 양도 소도 모두 끌고 가거라. 그리고 나를 위하여 복을 빌어다오."
- 이집트인들도 자기네가 모두 떼죽음을 당하는 줄 알고 이스라엘 백성에게 어서 떠나달라고 재촉하였다.
- 그들은 빵 반죽이 부풀기도 전에 그릇째 옷에 싸서 어깨에 둘러메고 나섰다.
- 이스라엘 백성은 모세가 일러준 대로 이집트인들에게 은붙이와 금붙이와 옷을 내라고 하였다.

- And the LORD gave the people favour in the sight of the Egyptians, so that they lent unto them such things as they required. And they spoiled the Egyptians.
- And the children of Israel journeyed from Rameses to Succoth, about six hundred thousand on foot that were men, beside children.
- And a mixed multitude went up also with them; and flocks, and herds, even very much cattle.
- And they baked unleavened cakes of the dough which they brought forth out of Egypt, for it was not leavened; because they were thrust out of Egypt, and could not tarry, neither had they prepared for themselves any victual.
- Now the sojourning of the children of Israel, who dwelt in Egypt, was four hundred and thirty years.

- 야훼께서는 이스라엘 백성으로 하여금 이집트인들에게 환심을 사도록 하셨으므로 이집트인들은 무엇이든지 달라는 대로 내어주었다. 이렇게 그들은 이집트인들을 털었다.
- 마침내 이스라엘 백성은 라므세스를 떠나 수꼿으로 향했는데, 딸린 식구를 빼고 장정만도 육십만 가량이 되었다.
- 그 밖에도 많은 잡식구들이 따라 나섰고 소와 양 등 가축들도 떼지어 따랐다.
- 그들은 이집트에서 가지고 나온 누룩 없는 빵 반죽으로 과자를 구워야 했다. 이집트에서 경황없이 나오느라고 먹을 것을 미처 장만하지 못했던 것이다.
- 이스라엘 백성이 이집트에 머무른 것은 사백삼십 년 동안이었다.

- And it came to pass at the end of the four hundred and thirty years, even the selfsame day it came to pass, that all the hosts of the LORD went out from the land of Egypt.
- It is a night to be much observed unto the LORD for bringing them out from the land of Egypt: this is that night of the LORD to be observed of all the children of Israel in their generations.
- And the LORD said unto Moses and Aaron, This is the ordinance of the passover: There shall no stranger eat thereof:
- But every man's servant that is bought for money, when thou hast circumcised him, then shall he eat thereof.
- A foreigner and an hired servant shall not eat thereof.

- 마침내 사백삼십 년이 끝나던 바로 그 날에 야훼의 군대는 모두 이집트 땅에서 빠져 나왔다.
- 그 날 밤, 야훼께서 그들을 이집트 땅에서 이끌어내시려고 밤새워 가며 지켜주셨으므로 이스라엘의 모든 백성은 대대로 야훼를 생각하며 이 밤을 새워야 하는 것이다.
- 야훼께서 모세와 아론에게 이르셨다. "과월절을 지키는 규칙은 이러하다. 외국인은 아무도 제물을 같이 먹지 못한다.
- 다만 돈을 주고 사들인 종으로서 할례를 받은 자이면 같이 먹을 수 있다.
- 머슴이나 몸붙여 사는 사람도 같이 먹지 못한다.

- In one house shall it be eaten; thou shalt not carry forth ought of the flesh abroad out of the house; neither shall ye break a bone thereof.
- All the congregation of Israel shall keep it.
- And when a stranger shall sojourn with thee, and will keep the passover to the LORD, let all his males be circumcised, and then let him come near and keep it; and he shall be as one that is born in the land: for no uncircumcised person shall eat thereof.
- One law shall be to him that is homeborn, and unto the stranger that sojourneth among you.
- Thus did all the children of Israel; as the LORD commanded Moses and Aaron, so did they.

- 어느 집이든지 한 집에서 먹어야지 고기를 가지고 집 밖으로 나가면 안 된다. 뼈를 꺾어도 안 된다.
- 이스라엘 회중은 누구나 과월절 축제를 지켜야 한다.
- 너에게 몸붙여 사는 사람으로서 야훼께 과월절 제물을 드리려면 남자는 할례를 받아야 한다. 그러면 함께 먹을 수 있고 같은 본토민처럼 되는 것이다. 할례받지 않은 사람은 절대로 같이 먹을 수 없다.
- 본토민이든 너희에게 몸붙여 사는 사람이든 이 법 앞에서는 동등하다."
- 이스라엘의 온 백성이 야훼께서 모세와 아론에게 분부하신 대로 하였다.

- And it came to pass the selfsame day, that the LORD did bring the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt by their armies.
|
- 바로 이 날에 야훼께서는 부대를 편성하여 이스라엘 백성을 이집트 땅에서 이끌어내셨던 것이다.
