- Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:
- And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
- And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
- Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh:
- So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors.

- "그런 재난의 기간이 지나면 곧 해가 어두워지고 달은 빛을 잃을 것이며 별들은 하늘에서 떨어지고 모든 천체가 흔들릴 것이다.
- 그러면 하늘에는 사람의 아들의 표징이 나타날 것이고 땅에서는 모든 민족이 가슴을 치며 울부짖을 것이다. 그 때에 사람들은 사람의 아들이 하늘에서 구름을 타고 권능을 떨치며 영광에 싸여 오는 것을 보게 될 것이다.
- 그리고 사람의 아들은 울려 퍼지는 나팔 소리와 함께 천사들을 보내어 그가 뽑은 사람들을 하늘 이 끝에서 저 끝까지 사방에서 불러모을 것이다."
- "무화과나무를 보고 배워라. 가지가 연해지고 잎이 돋으면 여름이 가까워진 것을 알게 된다.
- 이와 같이 너희도 이런 일들이 일어나는 것을 보거든 사람의 아들이 문 앞에 다가온 줄을 알아라.

- Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.
- Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.
- But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.
- But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
- For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark,

- 나는 분명히 말한다. 이 세대가 지나가기 전에 이 모든 일들이 일어나고야 말 것이다.
- 하늘과 땅은 사라질지라도 내 말은 결코 사라지지 않을 것이다."
- "그러나 그 날과 그 시간은 아무도 모른다. 하늘의 천사들도 모르고 아들도 모르고 오직 아버지만이 아신다.
- 노아 때의 일을 생각해 보아라. 사람의 아들이 올 때에도 바로 그럴 것이다.
- 홍수 이전의 사람들은 노아가 방주에 들어가던 날까지도 먹고 마시고 장가들고 시집가고 하다가

- And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
- Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.
- Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left.
- Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.
- But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up.

- 홍수를 만나 모두 휩쓸려 갔다. 그들은 이렇게 아무것도 모르고 있다가 홍수를 만났는데, 사람의 아들이 올 때에도 그러할 것이다.
- 그 때에 두 사람이 밭에 있다면 하나는 데려가고 하나는 버려둘 것이다.
- 또 두 여자가 맷돌을 갈고 있다면 하나는 데려가고 하나는 버려둘 것이다.
- 이렇게 너희의 주인이 언제 올지 모르니 깨어 있어라.
- 만일 도둑이 밤 몇 시에 올는지 집 주인이 알고 있다면 그는 깨어 있으면서 도둑이 뚫고 들어오지 못하게 할 것이다.

- Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.
- Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season?
- Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing.
- Verily I say unto you, That he shall make him ruler over all his goods.
- But and if that evil servant shall say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming;

- 사람의 아들도 너희가 생각지도 않은 때에 올 것이다. 그러니 너희는 늘 준비하고 있어라."
- "어떤 주인이 한 종에게 다른 종들을 다스리며 제때에 양식을 공급할 책임을 맡기고 떠났다면 어떻게 하여야 그 종이 과연 충성스럽고 슬기로운 종이겠느냐?
- 주인이 돌아올 때에 자기 책임을 다하고 있다가 주인을 맞이하는 종이 아니겠느냐? 그런 종은 행복하다.
- 나는 분명히 말한다. 주인은 모든 재산을 그에게 맡길 것이다.
- 그러나 그가 만일 악한 종이어서 속으로 주인이 더디 오려니 생각하고

- And shall begin to smite his fellowservants, and to eat and drink with the drunken;
- The lord of that servant shall come in a day when he looketh not for him, and in an hour that he is not aware of,
- And shall cut him asunder, and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

- 다른 종들을 때리고 술친구들과 함께 먹고 마시기만 한다면
- 생각지도 않은 날, 짐작도 못한 시간에 주인이 돌아와서 그 꼴을 보게 될 것이다.
- 주인은 그 종을 자르고 위선자들이 벌받는 곳으로 보낼 것이다. 거기에서 그는 가슴을 치며 통곡할 것이다."
