누가복음 5:29-6:11

 예수님께서는 세리 마태를 제자로 삼으신 것을 비방하는 자들에게 자신은 의인이 아닌 죄인을 불러 회개시키러 오셨다고 말씀하시고 자신을 안식일의 주인으로 천명하셨다.
  
  금식 논쟁(5:29-5:39)    
 
  1. And Levi made him a great feast in his own house: and there was a great company of publicans and of others that sat down with them.
  2. But their scribes and Pharisees murmured against his disciples, saying, Why do ye eat and drink with publicans and sinners?
  3. And Jesus answering said unto them, They that are whole need not a physician; but they that are sick.
  4. I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.
  5. And they said unto him, Why do the disciples of John fast often, and make prayers, and likewise the disciples of the Pharisees; but thine eat and drink?
  1. 레위는 자기 집에서 큰 잔치를 베풀고 예수를 모셨는데 그 자리에는 많은 세리들과 그 밖에 여러 사람이 함께 앉아 있었다.
  2. 이것을 본 바리사이파 사람들과 그들의 율법학자들은 못마땅하게 생각하여 예수의 제자들에게 "어찌하여 당신들은 세리와 죄인들과 어울려 먹고 마시는 것입니까?" 하고 트집을 잡았다.
  3. 예수께서 이 말을 들으시고 이렇게 대답하셨다. "건강한 사람에게는 의사가 필요하지 않으나 병자에게는 필요하다.
  4. 나는 의인을 불러 회개시키러 온 것이 아니라 죄인들을 불러 회개시키러 왔다."
  5. 이 말씀을 듣고 그들이 "요한의 제자들은 물론이요 바리사이파 사람들의 제자들까지도 자주 단식하며 기도하는데 어찌하여 당신의 제자들은 먹고 마시기만 합니까?" 하며 따지자
  1. And he said unto them, Can ye make the children of the bridechamber fast, while the bridegroom is with them?
  2. But the days will come, when the bridegroom shall be taken away from them, and then shall they fast in those days.
  3. And he spake also a parable unto them; No man putteth a piece of a new garment upon an old; if otherwise, then both the new maketh a rent, and the piece that was taken out of the new agreeth not with the old.
  4. And no man putteth new wine into old bottles; else the new wine will burst the bottles, and be spilled, and the bottles shall perish.
  5. But new wine must be put into new bottles; and both are preserved.
  1. 예수께서는 이렇게 대답하셨다. "너희는 잔칫집에 온 신랑의 친구들이 신랑과 함께 있는 동안에도 그들을 단식하게 할 수 있겠느냐?
  2. 이제 때가 오면 신랑을 빼앗길 것이니 그 때에는 그들도 단식을 할 것이다."
  3. 그리고 예수께서는 비유를 들어 말씀하셨다. "새 옷에서 조각을 찢어내어 헌 옷을 깁는 사람은 없다. 그렇게 하면 새 옷을 못쓰게 만들 뿐만 아니라 새 옷 조각이 헌 옷에 어울리지도 않을 것이다.
  4. 그리고 새 술을 헌 가죽부대에 담는 사람도 없다. 그렇게 하면 새 포도주가 부대를 터뜨릴 것이니 포도주는 쏟아지고 부대는 못쓰게 된다.
  5. 그러므로 새 포도주는 새 부대에 넣어야 한다.
  1. No man also having drunk old wine straightway desireth new: for he saith, The old is better.
  1. 또 묵은 포도주를 마셔본 사람은 '묵은 것이 더 좋다.' 하면서 새 것을 마시려 하지 않는다."
 
  안식일의 주인(6:1-6:11)    
 
  1. And it came to pass on the second sabbath after the first, that he went through the corn fields; and his disciples plucked the ears of corn, and did eat, rubbing them in their hands.
  2. And certain of the Pharisees said unto them, Why do ye that which is not lawful to do on the sabbath days?
  3. And Jesus answering them said, Have ye not read so much as this, what David did, when himself was an hungred, and they which were with him;
  4. How he went into the house of God, and did take and eat the shewbread, and gave also to them that were with him; which it is not lawful to eat but for the priests alone?
  5. And he said unto them, That the Son of man is Lord also of the sabbath.
  1. 어느 안식일에 예수께서 밀밭 사이를 지나가시게 되었다. 그 때에 제자들이 밀 이삭을 잘라서 손으로 비벼 먹었다.
  2. 이것을 본 바리사이파 사람 몇몇이 "당신들은 왜 안식일에 해서는 안 될 일을 하는 것입니까?" 하고 말하였다.
  3. 예수께서는 이렇게 물으셨다. "너희는 다윗의 일행이 굶주렸을 때에 다윗이 한 일을 읽어보지 못하였느냐?
  4. 다윗은 하느님의 집에 들어가 사제들밖에 먹을 수 없는 제단의 빵을 먹고 함께 있던 사람들에게도 주지 않았느냐?"
  5. 그리고 예수께서는 이렇게 말씀하셨다. "사람의 아들이 바로 안식일의 주인이다."
  1. And it came to pass also on another sabbath, that he entered into the synagogue and taught: and there was a man whose right hand was withered.
  2. And the scribes and Pharisees watched him, whether he would heal on the sabbath day; that they might find an accusation against him.
  3. But he knew their thoughts, and said to the man which had the withered hand, Rise up, and stand forth in the midst. And he arose and stood forth.
  4. Then said Jesus unto them, I will ask you one thing; Is it lawful on the sabbath days to do good, or to do evil? to save life, or to destroy it?
  5. And looking round about upon them all, he said unto the man, Stretch forth thy hand. And he did so: and his hand was restored whole as the other.
  1. 또 다른 안식일에 예수께서 회당에 들어가 가르치고 계셨는데 거기에 마침 오른손이 오그라든 사람이 있었다.
  2. 한편 율법학자들과 바리사이파 사람들은 예수께서 안식일에 병을 고쳐주시기만 하면 그를 고발하려고 지켜보고 있었다.
  3. 그러나 예수께서는 그들의 속셈을 아시고 손이 오그라든 사람에게 "일어나 가운데로 나와 서라." 하셨다. 그가 일어나 가운데로 나서자
  4. 예수께서 그들에게 "너희에게 한 가지 물어보겠다. 율법에 어떻게 하라고 하였느냐? 안식일에 착한 일을 하라고 하였느냐? 악한 일을 하라고 하였느냐? 사람을 살리라고 하였느냐? 죽이라고 하였느냐?"
  5. 이렇게 물으시며 그들을 모두 둘러보시고 나서 손이 오그라든 사람에게 "손을 펴라." 하셨다. 그가 손을 펴자 그 손이 이전처럼 성하게 되었다.
  1. And they were filled with madness; and communed one with another what they might do to Jesus.
  1. 그들은 잔뜩 화가 나서 예수를 어떻게 하면 좋을까 하고 서로 의논하였다.
