- Let the iniquity of his fathers be remembered with the LORD; and let not the sin of his mother be blotted out.
- Let them be before the LORD continually, that he may cut off the memory of them from the earth.
- Because that he remembered not to shew mercy, but persecuted the poor and needy man, that he might even slay the broken in heart.
- As he loved cursing, so let it come unto him: as he delighted not in blessing, so let it be far from him.
- As he clothed himself with cursing like as with his garment, so let it come into his bowels like water, and like oil into his bones.

- 야훼여, 이자들을 항상 눈앞에 두시고 이 땅에서 그들의 기억을 없애버리소서.
- 사랑을 베풀 생각은커녕 가난하고 가련한 자들을 들볶으며 마음이 상해 있는 사람을 목조릅니다.
- 남 저주하기를 좋아했으니, 그 저주를 자기가 받게 하소서. 남에게 복 빌어주기를 싫어했으니 그 복이 그를 떠나게 하소서.
- 저주를 옷처럼 둘렀으니, 그 저주가 뜨거운 물처럼 그 살 속 깊숙이, 뜨거운 기름처럼 뼛속 깊숙이 스며들게 하소서.

- Let it be unto him as the garment which covereth him, and for a girdle wherewith he is girded continually.
- Let this be the reward of mine adversaries from the LORD, and of them that speak evil against my soul.
- But do thou for me, O GOD the Lord, for thy name's sake: because thy mercy is good, deliver thou me.

- 저주가 옷처럼 그의 몸을 뒤덮고, 허리를 맨 띠처럼 풀어지지 않게 하소서.
- 나에게 악담하며 고소하던 자들이 야훼의 이러한 갚음을 받게 하소서.
- 야훼여, 당신 이름에 어울리게 나를 다루소서. 당신의 사랑은 어지시오니 나를 구하소서.
- 나는 가난하고 가련하오며 내 마음은 속속들이 아프옵니다.
- 기우는 석양처럼 이 몸은 기울어가고 메뚜기처럼 나는 휩쓸려 갑니다.

- My knees are weak through fasting; and my flesh faileth of fatness.

- 단식으로 두 무릎은 후들거리고 내 살은 기름기가 없어서 말라버렸습니다.
- 사람들에게는 놀림감이 되었고 나를 보는 이마다 머리를 설레설레 흔듭니다.
