- It is reported commonly that there is fornication among you, and such fornication as is not so much as named among the Gentiles, that one should have his father's wife.
- And ye are puffed up, and have not rather mourned, that he that hath done this deed might be taken away from among you.
- For I verily, as absent in body, but present in spirit, have judged already, as though I were present, concerning him that hath so done this deed,
- In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, when ye are gathered together, and my spirit, with the power of our Lord Jesus Christ,
- To deliver such an one unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus.

- 여러분 가운데 음행하는 자들이 있다는 소문이 파다합니다. 심지어는 제 아비의 처와 동거하는 자까지도 있다고 하는데 그런 일은 이교도들 사이에서도 볼 수 없는 일입니다.
- 그런 자들은 여러분의 모임에서 제거되어야 할 터인데도 그것을 슬퍼하기는커녕 오히려 잘난 체하다니 도대체 어떻게 된 일입니까?
- 나는 몸은 비록 멀리 떨어져 있지만 마음으로는 여러분과 함께 있습니다. 그래서 내가 여러분과 함께 있는 것과 다름없이 그런 짓을 한 자를 우리 주 예수의 이름으로 이미 단죄하였습니다.
- 그 때에 한자리에 모인 여러분과 나의 마음이 우리와 함께 계신 우리 주 예수의 권능으로
- 그런 자를 사탄에게 내어주어 그 육체를 멸망시키도록 판결한 것입니다. 그것은 주님의 날에 그의 영혼은 구원을 받도록 하려는 것입니다.

- Your glorying is not good. Know ye not that a little leaven leaveneth the whole lump?
- Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us:
- Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.
- I wrote unto you in an epistle not to company with fornicators:
- Yet not altogether with the fornicators of this world, or with the covetous, or extortioners, or with idolaters; for then must ye needs go out of the world.

- 여러분이 잘난 체하는 것은 옳지 않습니다. 적은 누룩이 온 반죽을 부풀게 한다는 것을 여러분은 알지 못합니까?
- 여러분은 낡은 누룩을 깨끗이 없애버리고 다시 순수한 반죽이 되어야 합니다. 그리스도께서 우리의 과월절 양으로서 희생되셨으므로 이제 여러분은 누룩 없는 반죽이 되었습니다.
- 그러므로 우리는 사악과 음행이라는 묵은 누룩을 가지고 과월절을 지내지 말고 순결과 진실이라는 누룩 없는 빵을 가지고 과월절을 지냅시다.
- 내가 여러분에게 쓴 편지에서 음란한 사람들과 사귀지 말라고 했지만
- 음행이나 탐욕이나 약탈이나 우상 숭배를 일삼는 이교도들과 전혀 사귀지 말라는 말은 아닙니다. 그렇게 하려면 여러분은 이 세상 밖으로 나가야 할 것입니다.

- But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat.
- For what have I to do to judge them also that are without? do not ye judge them that are within?
- But them that are without God judgeth. Therefore put away from among yourselves that wicked person.

- 내가 한 말은 만일 어떤 사람이 교인이라고 하면서도 음행을 일삼거나 탐욕을 부리거나 우상을 숭배하거나 남을 중상하거나 술취하거나 약탈하거나 한다면 그런 자와는 상종하지도 말고 음식을 함께 먹지도 말라는 것입니다.
- 교회 밖에 있는 사람들을 심판하는 것은 내가 할 일이 아닙니다. 여러분이 심판할 사람들은 교회 안에 있는 사람들이 아닙니까?
- 교회 밖에 있는 사람들은 하느님께서 심판하실 것입니다. 여러분은 여러분 가운데 있는 그 악한 자를 쫓아내십시오.
