- Therefore seeing we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we faint not;
- But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God.
- But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:
- In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.
- For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus' sake.

- 하느님의 자비에 힘입어 이 직분을 맡은 우리는 결코 낙심하지 않습니다.
- 우리는 드러내지 못할 창피스러운 일들을 다 버렸으며 간교한 행동도 하지 않았고 하느님의 말씀을 비뚤어지게 전하지도 않았습니다. 그리고 진리를 밝혀 드러내었으니 우리는 하느님 앞에나 모든 사람의 양심 앞에 우리 자신을 떳떳하게 내세울 수 있습니다.
- 우리가 전하는 복음이 가려졌다면 그것은 멸망하는 자들에게나 가려졌을 것입니다.
- 그들이 믿지 않는 것은 이 세상의 악신이 그들의 마음을 어둡게 했기 때문입니다. 그들은 하느님의 형상이신 그리스도의 영광스러운 복음의 빛을 보지 못하게 되었습니다.
- 우리가 선전하는 것은 우리 자신이 아닙니다. 예수 그리스도가 주님이시고 우리는 예수를 위해서 일하는 여러분의 종이라는 것을 선포하고 있습니다.

- For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.
- But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.
- We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair;
- Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed;
- Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body.

- '어둠에서 빛이 비쳐오너라.' 하고 말씀하신 하느님께서는 우리의 마음속에 당신의 빛을 비추어주셔서 그리스도의 얼굴에 빛나는 하느님의 영광을 깨달을 수 있게 해주셨습니다.
- 하느님께서는 질그릇 같은 우리 속에 이 보화를 담아주셨습니다. 이것은 그 엄청난 능력이 우리에게서 나오는 것이 아니라 하느님께로부터 나온다는 것을 보여주시려는 것입니다.
- 우리는 아무리 짓눌려도 찌부러지지 않고 절망 속에서도 실망하지 않으며
- 궁지에 몰려도 빠져 나갈 길이 있으며 맞아 넘어져도 죽지 않습니다.
- 이렇게 우리는 언제나 예수의 죽음을 몸으로 경험하고 있지만 결국 드러나는 것은 예수의 생명이 우리 몸 안에 살고 있다는 사실입니다.

- For we which live are alway delivered unto death for Jesus' sake, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our mortal flesh.
- So then death worketh in us, but life in you.
- We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak;
- Knowing that he which raised up the Lord Jesus shall raise up us also by Jesus, and shall present us with you.
- For all things are for your sakes, that the abundant grace might through the thanksgiving of many redound to the glory of God.

- 우리는 살아 있는 동안 언제나 예수를 위해서 죽음의 위험을 겪고 있습니다. 그것은 우리의 죽을 몸에 예수의 생명이 살아 있음을 드러내려는 것입니다.
- 이리하여 우리 속에서는 죽음이 설치고 여러분 속에서는 생명이 약동하고 있습니다.
- "나는 믿었다. 그러므로 나는 말하였다."라는 말씀이 성서에 기록되어 있습니다. 우리도 이와 똑같은 믿음의 정신을 가지고 믿고 또 말합니다.
- 그것은 주 예수를 다시 살리신 분이 예수와 함께 우리도 다시 살리시고 여러분과 함께 우리를 그분 곁에 앉히시리라는 것을 잘 알고 있기 때문입니다.
- 이것은 모두 여러분을 위한 것으로서 더 많은 사람들이 하느님의 은총을 받고 감사하는 마음이 넘쳐서 하느님께 영광이 되게 하려는 것입니다.
