이사야 17:1-19:25

 이사야는 다메섹의 심판을 경고하면서, 구원의 하나님을 잊어버린 다메섹과 에브라임, 그리고 우상 숭배한 애굽이 멸망하게 될 것이라고 하였다. 그리고 야웨의 날에 애굽과 앗수르와 이스라엘로 대표되는 전 세계가 하나님께 돌아옴으로써 복을 받게 될 것이라고 예언하였다.
  
  다메섹에 대한 경고(17:1-17:14)    
 
  1. The burden of Damascus. Behold, Damascus is taken away from being a city, and it shall be a ruinous heap.
  2. The cities of Aroer are forsaken: they shall be for flocks, which shall lie down, and none shall make them afraid.
  3. The fortress also shall cease from Ephraim, and the kingdom from Damascus, and the remnant of Syria: they shall be as the glory of the children of Israel, saith the LORD of hosts.
  4. And in that day it shall come to pass, that the glory of Jacob shall be made thin, and the fatness of his flesh shall wax lean.
  5. And it shall be as when the harvestman gathereth the corn, and reapeth the ears with his arm; and it shall be as he that gathereth ears in the valley of Rephaim.
  1. 다마스쿠스에 이런 선언이 내려졌다. 이제 다마스쿠스는 도시의 모습을 잃어 돌무더기가 되고 말리라.
  2. 거기에 딸린 마을들은 영영 버림받아 짐승들이 거리낌없이 들끓고 마냥 뒹굴어도 쫓는 자 아무도 없으리라.
  3. 그리하여 다마스쿠스가 그 주권을 잃어 에브라임의 기댈 곳이 무너지리라. 이스라엘 자손의 영화가 사라지듯 시리아의 남은 자도 사라지리라. 이는 내 말이니 어김이 없다.
  4. 그 날이 오면, 야곱의 영화는 시들고 그 피둥피둥하던 몸이 야위리라.
  5. 농부가 밭에 있는 곡식을 베어들이고 그 이삭을 안아들일 때, 르바임 골짜기에서 떨어진 이삭을 주워 모을 때처럼 되리라.
  1. Yet gleaning grapes shall be left in it, as the shaking of an olive tree, two or three berries in the top of the uppermost bough, four or five in the outmost fruitful branches thereof, saith the LORD God of Israel.
  2. At that day shall a man look to his Maker, and his eyes shall have respect to the Holy One of Israel.
  3. And he shall not look to the altars, the work of his hands, neither shall respect that which his fingers have made, either the groves, or the images.
  4. In that day shall his strong cities be as a forsaken bough, and an uppermost branch, which they left because of the children of Israel: and there shall be desolation.
  5. Because thou hast forgotten the God of thy salvation, and hast not been mindful of the rock of thy strength, therefore shalt thou plant pleasant plants, and shalt set it with strange slips:
  1. 남은 자가 있다고 하여도 올리브를 떨고 나서 끝가지에 두세 알, 옆가지에 네댓 알 남아 있듯 하리라. 이스라엘의 하느님, 야훼께서 말씀하신다.
  2. 그 날이 오면, 사람들은 자기를 지으신 이를 우러르고 이스라엘의 거룩하신 이를 바라보리라.
  3. 제 손으로 만든 제단을 다시는 우러르지 아니하고 제 솜씨로 만든 아세라 목상과 분향제단을 바라보지 아니하리라.
  4. 그 날이 오면, 너의 도시들은 버림받아 쑥밭이 되리니, 마치 이스라엘 백성들 앞에서 버리고 도망친 히위족과 아모리족의 도시처럼 되리라.
  5. 너를 도우시는 하느님을 잊어버리고 네가 피신할 바위를 기억하지 않았으니 어찌 그렇게 되지 않으랴? 네가 아도니스 신의 동산을 꾸미고 다른 신의 포도 묘목을 심어
  1. In the day shalt thou make thy plant to grow, and in the morning shalt thou make thy seed to flourish: but the harvest shall be a heap in the day of grief and of desperate sorrow.
  2. Woe to the multitude of many people, which make a noise like the noise of the seas; and to the rushing of nations, that make a rushing like the rushing of mighty waters!
  3. The nations shall rush like the rushing of many waters: but God shall rebuke them, and they shall flee far off, and shall be chased as the chaff of the mountains before the wind, and like a rolling thing before the whirlwind.
  4. And behold at eveningtide trouble; and before the morning he is not. This is the portion of them that spoil us, and the lot of them that rob us.
  1. 심는 날부터 무럭무럭 자라게 하고 다음날 아침 거기에서 꽃을 피운다 하여도 병만 들면 거둘 것이 없으리니 그 슬픔 어찌하지 못하리라.
  2. 아, 많은 민족이 요란하되 뒤설레는 바다처럼 요란하구나. 부족들의 아우성 소리, 밀어닥치는 물결처럼 소란하구나.
  3. 하느님께서 호통을 치시니 멀리 도망치는 꼴이 산 위에서 바람에 날리는 검불 같고 회오리바람에 휘말리는 티끌 같구나.
  4. 해 질 때 갑자기 닥쳐온 두려움이 아침 해 뜨기 전에 가신 듯 사라진다. 이것이 우리를 약탈하던 자가 당할 운명이요 우리를 노략하던 자가 받을 몫이다.
 
  구스, 애굽에 대한 경고(18:1-19:25)    
 
  1. Woe to the land shadowing with wings, which is beyond the rivers of Ethiopia:
  2. That sendeth ambassadors by the sea, even in vessels of bulrushes upon the waters, saying, Go, ye swift messengers, to a nation scattered and peeled, to a people terrible from their beginning hitherto; a nation meted out and trodden down, whose land the rivers have spoiled!
  3. All ye inhabitants of the world, and dwellers on the earth, see ye, when he lifteth up an ensign on the mountains; and when he bloweth a trumpet, hear ye.
  4. For so the LORD said unto me, I will take my rest, and I will consider in my dwelling place like a clear heat upon herbs, and like a cloud of dew in the heat of harvest.
  5. For afore the harvest, when the bud is perfect, and the sour grape is ripening in the flower, he shall both cut off the sprigs with pruning hooks, and take away and cut down the branches.
  1. 아, 에티오피아의 강 건너편, 날벌레가 우글거리는 나라여!
  2. 특사를 왕골배에 태워 강물에 띄워 보내는 나라여! 걸음이 날랜 특사들아, 돌아가거라. 키 크고 털이 없는 민족에게로, 만인이 무서워하는 백성에게로, 강줄기가 여러 갈래 뻗은 땅에 사는 사람들에게로, 힘이 세어 남을 짓밟기 좋아하는 민족에게로 가거라.
  3. 세상의 모든 주민들아, 땅에 사는 사람들아, 이 산 저 산에 깃발이 오르거든 쳐다보아라. 나팔 소리 울리거든 잘 들어라.
  4. 야훼께서 나에게 말씀하신다. "태양은 말없이 비치며 열을 내고 이슬은 햇살이 따스운 가을철에도 조용히 내린다. 나도 내 처소에서 가만히 지켜보리라.
  5. 꽃이 피었다가 지고 포도알은 영글어 따려는 순간에 가지들이 낫으로 잘리고 순은 꺾이리니
  1. They shall be left together unto the fowls of the mountains, and to the beasts of the earth: and the fowls shall summer upon them, and all the beasts of the earth shall winter upon them.
  2. In that time shall the present be brought unto the LORD of hosts of a people scattered and peeled, and from a people terrible from their beginning hitherto; a nation meted out and trodden under foot, whose land the rivers have spoiled, to the place of the name of the LORD of hosts, the mount Zion.
  1. 모두 버려져 산새들과 들짐승들의 밥이 되리라. 독수리가 그것으로 여름을 나고 모든 들짐승이 그것으로 겨울을 나리라."
  2. 그 날이 오면, 키가 크고 털이 없는 민족, 강줄기가 여러 갈래로 뻗은 땅에 사는 민족, 힘이 세어 남을 짓밟기 좋아하는 민족, 만민이 무서워하는 백성에게서 만군의 야훼께 드릴 예물을 가진 자들이 만군의 야훼의 이름을 모신 시온 산으로 오리라.
 
 
  1. The burden of Egypt. Behold, the LORD rideth upon a swift cloud, and shall come into Egypt: and the idols of Egypt shall be moved at his presence, and the heart of Egypt shall melt in the midst of it.
  2. And I will set the Egyptians against the Egyptians: and they shall fight every one against his brother, and every one against his neighbour; city against city, and kingdom against kingdom.
  3. And the spirit of Egypt shall fail in the midst thereof; and I will destroy the counsel thereof: and they shall seek to the idols, and to the charmers, and to them that have familiar spirits, and to the wizards.
  4. And the Egyptians will I give over into the hand of a cruel lord; and a fierce king shall rule over them, saith the Lord, the LORD of hosts.
  5. And the waters shall fail from the sea, and the river shall be wasted and dried up.
  1. 이집트에 이런 선언이 내려졌다. 보아라, 야훼께서 빠른 구름을 타시고 이집트로 거둥하신다. 이집트의 우상들은 그 앞에서 벌벌 떨고 이집트 사람들의 간장은 녹아내린다.
  2. "내가 이집트 사람들 사이에 싸움을 붙이리니 동기간에 맞붙고, 이웃끼리 다투며 도시가 서로 맞서고 나라가 서로 갈려 싸우리라.
  3. 이렇게 이집트의 사기는 떨어지겠고 그들이 우상과 박수, 무당과 점쟁이에게 묻겠지만 내가 또한 그들의 계획을 혼란에 빠뜨리리라.
  4. 내가 이집트를 폭군의 손에 붙이면 그들이 포악한 왕의 지배를 받으리라." 주, 만군의 야훼께서 말씀하신다.
  5. 큰 물줄기의 물이 말라 강바닥은 드러나 갈라지고
  1. And they shall turn the rivers far away; and the brooks of defence shall be emptied and dried up: the reeds and flags shall wither.
  2. The paper reeds by the brooks, by the mouth of the brooks, and every thing sown by the brooks, shall wither, be driven away, and be no more.
  3. The fishers also shall mourn, and all they that cast angle into the brooks shall lament, and they that spread nets upon the waters shall languish.
  4. Moreover they that work in fine flax, and they that weave networks, shall be confounded.
  5. And they shall be broken in the purposes thereof, all that make sluices and ponds for fish.
  1. 개천에서는 썩는 냄새가 풍기며 이집트 땅 개울마다 물이 줄어 바닥이 나리니 갈대와 왕골은 시들고
  2. 강가의 풀은 마르리라. 강가에 심은 곡식도 모조리 말라 바람에 날려 자취도 없이 사라지리라.
  3. 고기잡이들도 탄식하리니 강에 낚시를 던지는 자들이 모두 슬퍼하고 물에 그물을 치는 자들이 낙담하리라.
  4. 모시를 생산하는 자들은 실망하고 실을 뽑아 천을 짜는 자들은 상심하리라.
  5. 옷을 만드는 자들은 울상을 짓고 품꾼들은 모두 풀이 꺾이리라.
  1. Surely the princes of Zoan are fools, the counsel of the wise counsellors of Pharaoh is become brutish: how say ye unto Pharaoh, I am the son of the wise, the son of ancient kings?
  2. Where are they? where are thy wise men? and let them tell thee now, and let them know what the LORD of hosts hath purposed upon Egypt.
  3. The princes of Zoan are become fools, the princes of Noph are deceived; they have also seduced Egypt, even they that are the stay of the tribes thereof.
  4. The LORD hath mingled a perverse spirit in the midst thereof: and they have caused Egypt to err in every work thereof, as a drunken man staggereth in his vomit.
  5. Neither shall there be any work for Egypt, which the head or tail, branch or rush, may do.
  1. 소안의 고관들은 어리석기 짝이 없고 파라오의 슬기롭다는 고문관들도 미욱한 것들, 그런데 어찌 너희가 파라오에게, "나는 현자의 문하생이요, 왕가의 후손입니다." 할 수 있겠느냐?
  2. 대체 너희 가운데 슬기롭다는 자들은 어디 있느냐? 만군의 야훼께서 이집트를 어떻게 하실는지 알릴 자가 있거든 말해 보아라.
  3. 소안의 고관들은 바보짓만 하고 놉의 고관들은 제 꾀에 넘어가며 이집트를 망친 것은 각 지파의 지도층,
  4. 야훼께서 그들의 마음을 어지럽게 하시니 그들이 이집트 사람의 모든 일을 망치게 하여 마치 주정꾼이 토하면서 비틀거리는 것 같게 하였구나.
  5. 그러므로 이집트에서는 종려 같은 지도층에게나 갈대 같은 서민층에게나 만사에 되는 일이 없으리라.
  1. In that day shall Egypt be like unto women: and it shall be afraid and fear because of the shaking of the hand of the LORD of hosts, which he shaketh over it.
  2. And the land of Judah shall be a terror unto Egypt, every one that maketh mention thereof shall be afraid in himself, because of the counsel of the LORD of hosts, which he hath determined against it.
  3. In that day shall five cities in the land of Egypt speak the language of Canaan, and swear to the LORD of hosts; one shall be called, The city of destruction.
  4. In that day shall there be an altar to the LORD in the midst of the land of Egypt, and a pillar at the border thereof to the LORD.
  5. And it shall be for a sign and for a witness unto the LORD of hosts in the land of Egypt: for they shall cry unto the LORD because of the oppressors, and he shall send them a saviour, and a great one, and he shall deliver them.
  1. 그 날이 오면, 이집트 사람들은 만군의 야훼께서 자기들을 치시려고 팔을 휘두르시는 것을 보고 여인처럼 두려워하며 떨리라.
  2. 이집트 사람은 유다 땅이란 말만 들어도 두렵고, 만군의 야훼께서 이집트를 치실 계획을 세우신 것을 생각만 하여도 떨리리라.
  3. 그 날이 오면, 이집트 땅에서는 가나안 말을 하고 또 만군의 야훼께 충성을 맹세하는 도시가 다섯 개나 생길 터인데, 그 중에는 하헤레스라고 부르는 도시가 하나 있을 것이다.
  4. 그 날이 오면, 이집트 땅 한복판에 야훼를 섬기는 제단이 서겠고 그 국경선 가까이에는 야훼의 주권을 표시하는 돌기둥이 서리라.
  5. 이것이 이집트 땅에서 만군의 야훼를 나타내는 표와 증거가 되리니, 그들이 박해를 받아 야훼께 부르짖으면 그가 구원자를 보내시어 그들을 변호하시고 건져주시리라.
  1. And the LORD shall be known to Egypt, and the Egyptians shall know the LORD in that day, and shall do sacrifice and oblation; yea, they shall vow a vow unto the LORD, and perform it.
  2. And the LORD shall smite Egypt: he shall smite and heal it: and they shall return even to the LORD, and he shall be intreated of them, and shall heal them.
  3. In that day shall there be a highway out of Egypt to Assyria, and the Assyrian shall come into Egypt, and the Egyptian into Assyria, and the Egyptians shall serve with the Assyrians.
  4. In that day shall Israel be the third with Egypt and with Assyria, even a blessing in the midst of the land:
  5. Whom the LORD of hosts shall bless, saying, Blessed be Egypt my people, and Assyria the work of my hands, and Israel mine inheritance.
  1. 야훼께서 이렇게 당신을 이집트 사람에게 알리시면, 그 날에 이집트 사람이 야훼를 알고 희생제물과 예물을 드려 예배하며 야훼께 서약한 대로 바치리라.
  2. 야훼께서 이집트를 향하여 매를 드시더라도 그 뜻은 치는 데 있지 아니하고 고쳐주는 데 있다. 그러므로 그들이 야훼께 돌아오면 그 간구를 들어주시고 고쳐주실 것이다.
  3. 그 날에 이집트에서 아시리아로 가는 큰길이 트여 아시리아 사람과 이집트 사람이 서로 오가며 이집트 사람이 아시리아 사람과 함께 예배하리라.
  4. 그 날에 이스라엘은 이집트와 아시리아 다음의 셋째 번 나라가 되어 세상에서 복을 받으리라.
  5. 만군의 야훼께서 복을 주시며 이르시는 말씀을 들어라. "복을 받아라. 내 백성 이집트야, 내가 손수 만든 아시리아야, 나의 소유 이스라엘아!"
