- Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, to the saints which are at Ephesus, and to the faithful in Christ Jesus:
- Grace be to you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.
- Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:
- According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:
- Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,

- 하느님의 뜻을 따라 그리스도 예수의 사도가 된 나 바울로가 그리스도 예수를 진실하게 믿는 (에페소) 성도들에게 이 편지를 씁니다.
- 하느님 우리 아버지와 주 예수 그리스도께서 은총과 평화를 여러분에게 내려주시기를 빕니다.
- 우리 주 예수 그리스도의 아버지 하느님께 찬양을 드립니다. 하느님께서는 그리스도를 통해서 하늘의 온갖 영적 축복을 우리에게 베풀어주셨습니다.
- 우리를 그리스도와 함께 살게 하시려고 천지 창조 이전에 이미 우리를 뽑아주시고 당신의 사랑으로 우리를 거룩하고 흠없는 자가 되게 하셔서 당신 앞에 설 수 있게 하셨습니다.
- 하느님께서는 예수 그리스도를 통하여 우리를 당신의 자녀로 삼으시기로 미리 정하신 것입니다. 이것은 하느님께서 뜻하시고 기뻐하시는 일이었습니다.

- To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved.
- In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;
- Wherein he hath abounded toward us in all wisdom and prudence;
- Having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself:
- That in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him:

- 사랑하시는 아드님을 통하여 우리에게 거저 주신 이 영광스러운 은총에 대하여 우리는 하느님을 찬양할 수밖에 없습니다.
- 우리는 그리스도의 죽음으로 말미암아 죄를 용서받고 죄에서 구출되었습니다. 이렇게 하느님께서는 풍성한 은총으로
- 우리에게 온갖 지혜와 총명을 넘치도록 주셔서
- 당신의 심오한 뜻을 알게 해주셨습니다. 이것은 그리스도를 시켜 이루시려고 하느님께서 미리 세워놓으셨던 계획대로 된 것으로서
- 때가 차면 이 계획이 이루어져서 하늘과 땅에 있는 모든 것이 그리스도를 머리로 하고 하나가 될 것입니다.

- In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will:
- That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ.
- In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,
- Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.
- Wherefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus, and love unto all the saints,

- 모든 것을 뜻하신 대로 이루시는 하느님께서 당신의 계획을 따라 우리를 미리 정하시고 택하셔서 그리스도를 믿게 하셨습니다.
- 그러므로 맨 먼저 그리스도께 희망을 둔 우리는 하느님의 영광을 찬양할 수밖에 없습니다.
- 여러분도 그리스도를 통하여 여러분에게 구원을 가져다 주는 복음 곧 진리의 말씀을 듣고 믿어서 하느님의 백성이 되었습니다. 이것을 확인하는 표로 하느님께서는 여러분에게 약속하셨던 성령을 주셨습니다.
- 성령께서는 우리가 받을 상속을 보증해 주시고 하느님의 백성인 우리에게 완전한 자유를 누리게 하여주십니다. 그러므로 우리는 하느님의 영광을 찬양할 수밖에 없습니다.
- 나는 여러분이 주 예수를 충실히 믿으며 모든 성도들을 사랑한다는 소식을 듣고

- Cease not to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers;
- That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:
- The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,
- And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power,
- Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places,

- 기도할 때마다 언제나 여러분을 기억하며 하느님께 감사를 드리고 있습니다.
- 나는 우리 주 예수 그리스도의 하느님, 영광스러운 아버지께서 여러분에게 영적인 지혜와 통찰력을 내려주셔서 하느님을 참으로 알게 하시고
- 또 여러분의 마음의 눈을 밝혀주셔서 하느님의 백성이 된 여러분이 무엇을 바랄 것인지 또 성도들과 함께 여러분이 물려받을 축복이 얼마나 놀랍고 큰 것인지를 알게 하여주시기 바랍니다.
- 그리고 우리 믿는 사람들 속에서 강한 힘으로 활동하시는 하느님의 능력이 얼마나 위대한지를 여러분에게 알게 하여주시기를 빕니다.
- 하느님께서는 그 능력을 떨치시어 그리스도를 죽은 자들 가운데서 다시 살려내시고 하늘 나라에 불러 올리셔서 당신의 오른편에 앉히시고

- Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come:
- And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church,
- Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.

- 권세와 세력과 능력과 주권의 여러 천신들을 지배하게 하시고 또 현세와 내세의 모든 권력자들 위에 올려놓으셨습니다.
- 하느님께서는 만물을 그리스도의 발 아래 굴복시키셨으며 그분을 교회의 머리로 삼으셔서 모든 것을 지배하게 하셨습니다.
- 교회는 그리스도의 몸이며 만물을 완성하시는 분의 계획이 그 안에서 완전히 이루어집니다.
