- For this cause I Paul, the prisoner of Jesus Christ for you Gentiles,
- If ye have heard of the dispensation of the grace of God which is given me to you-ward:
- How that by revelation he made known unto me the mystery; (as I wrote afore in few words,
- Whereby, when ye read, ye may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ)
- Which in other ages was not made known unto the sons of men, as it is now revealed unto his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit;

- 그러므로 이방인 여러분들을 위하여 그리스도 예수의 포로가 된 나 바울로는 하느님께 기도 드립니다.
- 하느님께서 나에게 은총을 베풀어 여러분의 일꾼으로 삼으신 것을 여러분도 잘 알고 있습니다.
- 하느님께서는 당신의 심오한 계획을 나에게 계시해 주셨습니다. 이에 대해서는 내가 앞서 간단히 적은 바 있으므로
- 그것을 읽으면 여러분은 내가 그리스도에 관한 심오한 계획을 이해하고 있다는 것을 알 수 있을 것입니다.
- 지금은 하느님께서 성령의 힘을 빌려 그 심오한 계획을 당신의 거룩한 사도들과 예언하는 사람들에게 나타내 보이셨지만 전에는 지금처럼 인간에게 알려주시지 않았었습니다.

- That the Gentiles should be fellowheirs, and of the same body, and partakers of his promise in Christ by the gospel:
- Whereof I was made a minister, according to the gift of the grace of God given unto me by the effectual working of his power.
- Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ;
- And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ:
- To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God,

- 그 심오한 계획이란 이방인들도 복음을 듣고 그리스도 예수와 함께 살면서 유다인들과 함께 하느님의 축복을 받고 한 몸의 지체가 되어 하느님께서 약속하신 것을 함께 받는 사람들이 된다는 것입니다.
- 나는 하느님께서 거저 주신 은총을 받고 내 속에서 활동하시는 하느님의 능력에 힘입어 이 복음을 전하는 일꾼이 되었습니다.
- 나는 모든 성도들 중에서 가장 보잘것없는 사람입니다. 아니 그보다도 못한 사람입니다. 그런데도 하느님께서는 나에게 이 은총을 주셔서 헤아릴 수 없이 풍요하신 그리스도에 관한 복음을 이방인들에게 전하게 하셨고
- 또 만물의 창조주이신 하느님께서 과거에 감추고 계시던 심오한 계획을 어떻게 실현하시는지를 모든 사람에게 분명히 알려주게 하셨습니다.
- 이렇게 되어 결국 하늘에 있는 권세의 천신들과 세력의 천신들까지도 교회를 통하여 하느님의 무궁무진한 지혜를 알게 되는 것입니다.

- According to the eternal purpose which he purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord:
- In whom we have boldness and access with confidence by the faith of him.
- Wherefore I desire that ye faint not at my tribulations for you, which is your glory.
- For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
- Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named,

- 이 모든 것은 우리 주 그리스도 예수를 내세워 이루시려고 작정하신 하느님의 영원한 계획입니다.
- 우리는 그리스도를 믿음으로써 그분과 함께 살게 되어 확신을 가지고 서슴지 않고 하느님께 나아갈 수가 있습니다.
- 나는 지금 여러분에게 복음을 전하느라고 고통을 당하고 있지만 이것은 여러분에게 오히려 영광을 가져오는 것이니 나 때문에 낙심하는 일이 없기를 바랍니다.
- 나는 하늘과 땅에 있는 모든 가족에게 이름을 주신 하느님 아버지 앞에 무릎을 꿇고 기도 드립니다.

- That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man;
- That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,
- May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height;
- And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.
- Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,

- 넘쳐 흐르는 영광의 아버지께서 성령으로 여러분의 힘을 돋우어 내적 인간으로 굳세게 하여주시기를 빕니다.
- 그리고 아버지께서 여러분의 믿음을 보시고 그리스도로 하여금 여러분의 마음속에 들어가 사실 수 있게 하여주시기를 빕니다. 그래서 여러분이 사랑에 뿌리를 박고 사랑을 기초로 하여 살아감으로써
- 모든 성도들과 함께 하느님의 신비가 얼마나 넓고 길고 높고 깊은지를 깨달아 알고
- 인간의 모든 지식을 초월한 그리스도의 사랑을 알 수 있게 되기를 바랍니다. 이렇게 해서 여러분이 완성되고 하느님의 계획이 완전히 이루어지기를 빕니다.
- 하느님께서는 우리 안에서 힘차게 활동하시면서 우리가 바라거나 생각하는 것보다 훨씬 더 풍성하게 베풀어주실 수 있는 분이십니다.

- Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.

- 하느님께서 교회와 그리스도 예수를 통하여 세세무궁토록 영광을 받으시기를 빕니다. 아멘.
