- My son, if sinners entice thee, consent thou not.
- If they say, Come with us, let us lay wait for blood, let us lurk privily for the innocent without cause:
- Let us swallow them up alive as the grave; and whole, as those that go down into the pit:
- We shall find all precious substance, we shall fill our houses with spoil:
- Cast in thy lot among us; let us all have one purse:

- 그들은 너를 이렇게 꾀리라. "같이 가서 길목을 지키다가 피를 보자. 심심하니 길목에 숨었다가 무고한 사람을 덮쳐
- 죽음이 산 사람 삼키듯이, 구덩이가 사람을 통째로 빨아들이듯이 해치우고
- 온갖 값진 재물을 차지하자. 털어온 것으로 우리의 집을 그득 채우자.
- 우리와 한 통속이 되어 같이 먹고 같이 살자."
