- Now therefore hearken unto me, O ye children: for blessed are they that keep my ways.
- Hear instruction, and be wise, and refuse it not.
- Blessed is the man that heareth me, watching daily at my gates, waiting at the posts of my doors.
- For whoso findeth me findeth life, and shall obtain favour of the LORD.
- But he that sinneth against me wrongeth his own soul: all they that hate me love death.

- 날마다 내 집 문을 쳐다보고 내 집 문 앞에 지켜 서서 내 말을 듣는 사람은 복받으리라.
- 나를 얻으면 생명을 얻고 야훼의 은총을 받는다.
- 나를 붙잡지 않는 자는 제 목숨을 해치게 되고 나를 싫어하는 자는 죽음을 택하는 자들이다."
