에스겔 29:1-30:26

 하나님께서는 애굽이 바벨론에 의해 멸망되었다가 40년 후에 연약한 나라로 회복될 것이며, 애굽이 함락되는 날 그의 동맹국들도 함께 멸망할 것이라고 예고하셨다. 그리고 애굽의 멸망은 하나님께서 바벨론 왕의 팔을 강하게 붙드시고 바로의 팔을 꺾어 약하게 하신 결과라고 밝히셨다.
  
  애굽에 대한 심판(29:1-29:21)    
 
  1. In the tenth year, in the tenth month, in the twelfth day of the month, the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
  2. Son of man, set thy face against Pharaoh king of Egypt, and prophesy against him, and against all Egypt:
  3. Speak, and say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against thee, Pharaoh king of Egypt, the great dragon that lieth in the midst of his rivers, which hath said, My river is mine own, and I have made it for myself.
  4. But I will put hooks in thy jaws, and I will cause the fish of thy rivers to stick unto thy scales, and I will bring thee up out of the midst of thy rivers, and all the fish of thy rivers shall stick unto thy scales.
  5. And I will leave thee thrown into the wilderness, thee and all the fish of thy rivers: thou shalt fall upon the open fields; thou shalt not be brought together, nor gathered: I have given thee for meat to the beasts of the field and to the fowls of the heaven.
  1. 제십년 시월 십이일, 야훼께서 나에게 이런 말씀을 내리셨다.
  2. "너 사람아, 이집트 왕 파라오 쪽으로 얼굴을 돌리고 파라오와 온 이집트에 그들을 쳐 이르는 내 말을 전하여라.
  3. 너는 이렇게 말하여라. '주 야훼가 말한다. 이집트 왕 파라오야, 나 이제 너를 치리라. 나일 강 가운데 엎드려 있는 큰 악어야, 네가, 나일 강은 내 것이다, 내가 만들었다, 한다마는
  4. 나는 너의 턱을 고리로 꿰고 네 비늘에 나일 강 물고기들이 들러붙게 하리라. 네 비늘에 들러붙은 나일 강 물고기째 네가 살고 있는 나일 강 가운데서 너를 끌어 올리리라.
  5. 그리고 네가 사는 나일 강의 모든 물고기와 함께 너를 사막에 내동댕이치리니, 벌판에 쓰러져 있는 너를 거두어 묻어주는 자도 없을 것이다. 땅 위를 돌아다니는 짐승과 하늘을 날아다니는 새에게 너를 먹이로 주리라.
  1. And all the inhabitants of Egypt shall know that I am the LORD, because they have been a staff of reed to the house of Israel.
  2. When they took hold of thee by thy hand, thou didst break, and rend all their shoulder: and when they leaned upon thee, thou brakest, and madest all their loins to be at a stand.
  3. Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will bring a sword upon thee, and cut off man and beast out of thee.
  4. And the land of Egypt shall be desolate and waste; and they shall know that I am the LORD: because he hath said, The river is mine, and I have made it.
  5. Behold, therefore I am against thee, and against thy rivers, and I will make the land of Egypt utterly waste and desolate, from the tower of Syene even unto the border of Ethiopia.
  1. 그제야 이집트 주민이 모두 내가 야훼임을 알게 되리라. 너는 갈대밖에 못 되는 주제에 이스라엘 족속의 지팡이가 되려고 하였다.
  2. 그들이 손을 내밀어 붙잡자, 너는 부러지며 도리어 그들의 팔에 온통 상처를 내주었다. 그들이 너에게 의지하려고 하자, 너는 부러지며 그들의 허리까지 온통 휘청거리게 만들었다.
  3. 그러므로 주 야훼가 말한다. 내가 원수를 너에게 들여보내 사람과 짐승을 칼로 전멸시키리니,
  4. 이집트는 쑥밭이 되어 황폐해질 것이다. 그제야 사람들은 내가 야훼임을 알게 되리라. 이것은 그들이 나일 강은 내 것이다, 내가 만들었다, 죗값이다.
  5. 나 이제 네가 사는 나일 강을 치리라. 믹돌에서 스웨네를 거쳐 에티오피아 접경에 이르기까지 이집트를 황폐한 쑥밭으로 만들리라.
  1. No foot of man shall pass through it, nor foot of beast shall pass through it, neither shall it be inhabited forty years.
  2. And I will make the land of Egypt desolate in the midst of the countries that are desolate, and her cities among the cities that are laid waste shall be desolate forty years: and I will scatter the Egyptians among the nations, and will disperse them through the countries.
  3. Yet thus saith the Lord GOD; At the end of forty years will I gather the Egyptians from the people whither they were scattered:
  4. And I will bring again the captivity of Egypt, and will cause them to return into the land of Pathros, into the land of their habitation; and they shall be there a base kingdom.
  5. It shall be the basest of the kingdoms; neither shall it exalt itself any more above the nations: for I will diminish them, that they shall no more rule over the nations.
  1. 사십 년 동안 빈들이 되어 사람의 발길도 닿지 않고 짐승도 지나가지 않을 것이다.
  2. 사십 년 동안 이집트는 쑥밭이 되어 황폐한 도시들 가운데 가장 황폐한 도시로 버려질 것이다. 나는 이집트 사람들을 여러 나라에 쫓아보내어 뭇 민족 틈에 흩어져 살게 하리라.
  3. 주 야훼가 말한다. 사십 년이 지나면, 뭇 민족 가운데 흩어져 사는 이집트 사람들을 내가 다시 모아들일 것이다.
  4. 이집트인 포로들을 도로 데려다가 고향인 바드로스에 정착시키겠지만 그러나 국력은 대단하지 않을 것이다.
  5. 어느 나라보다도 약해져서 다시는 뭇 민족 앞에 우쭐대지 못하리라. 인구가 줄어서 다른 민족들을 압박하지 못하게 되리라.
  1. And it shall be no more the confidence of the house of Israel, which bringeth their iniquity to remembrance, when they shall look after them: but they shall know that I am the Lord GOD.
  2. And it came to pass in the seven and twentieth year, in the first month, in the first day of the month, the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
  3. Son of man, Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon caused his army to serve a great service against Tyrus: every head was made bald, and every shoulder was peeled: yet had he no wages, nor his army, for Tyrus, for the service that he had served against it:
  4. Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will give the land of Egypt unto Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon; and he shall take her multitude, and take her spoil, and take her prey; and it shall be the wages for his army.
  5. I have given him the land of Egypt for his labour wherewith he served against it, because they wrought for me, saith the Lord GOD.
  1. 이스라엘 족속은 이것을 보고 이집트를 따르던 과거의 일이 잘못인 줄 알아 다시는 의지하지 아니할 것이다. 그제야 사람들은 내가 야훼임을 알게 되리라.'"
  2. 제이십칠년 정월 초하루, 야훼께서 나에게 말씀을 내리셨다.
  3. "너 사람아, 바빌론 왕 느부갓네살이 띠로를 함락시키려고 군대를 투입하여 머리털이 다 빠지고 어깨가 다 벗겨지도록 힘을 기울여보았지만, 그와 그의 군대는 띠로 원정에서 아무 보람도 얻지 못하였다.
  4. 그런즉 주 야훼가 말한다. 나 이제 바빌론 왕 느부갓네살에게 이집트를 넘겨주리라. 느부갓네살은 재물을 빼앗아가고 전리품을 거두어가며 노략질까지 해다가 자기 군인들에게 보수를 줄 것이다.
  5. 그가 나 때문에 띠로에서 애를 쓴 대가로 나는 이집트를 그에게 넘겨준다. 주 야훼가 하는 말이다.
  1. In that day will I cause the horn of the house of Israel to bud forth, and I will give thee the opening of the mouth in the midst of them; and they shall know that I am the LORD.
  1. 그 날에 내가 이스라엘 족속에게 영도자를 주면 너는 입이 열리어 백성들에게 말할 수 있게 될 것이다. 그제야 사람들은 내가 야훼임을 알게 되리라."
 
  애굽과 그 동맹국들의 파멸(30:1-30:26)    
 
  1. The word of the LORD came again unto me, saying,
  2. Son of man, prophesy and say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Howl ye, Woe worth the day!
  3. For the day is near, even the day of the LORD is near, a cloudy day; it shall be the time of the heathen.
  4. And the sword shall come upon Egypt, and great pain shall be in Ethiopia, when the slain shall fall in Egypt, and they shall take away her multitude, and her foundations shall be broken down.
  5. Ethiopia, and Libya, and Lydia, and all the mingled people, and Chub, and the men of the land that is in league, shall fall with them by the sword.
  1. 야훼께서 나에게 말씀을 내리셨다.
  2. "너 사람아, 내 말을 전해 주어라. '주 야훼가 말한다. 두려워 떨어라. 올 날이 오고야 말았다.
  3. 그 날이 들이닥쳤다. 야훼 거둥하는 날, 암담한 날, 뭇 민족이 망할 날이 들이닥쳤다.
  4. 이집트에 칼이 들어간다. 이집트에서 떼죽음이 나고 재물은 빼앗기고 주추가 무너지는 날, 에티오피아는 부들부들 떨리라.
  5. 이집트 동맹국 에티오피아와 리비야와 리디아 온 아람과 구브 백성이 함께 칼에 맞아 쓰러지리라.
  1. Thus saith the LORD; They also that uphold Egypt shall fall; and the pride of her power shall come down: from the tower of Syene shall they fall in it by the sword, saith the Lord GOD.
  2. And they shall be desolate in the midst of the countries that are desolate, and her cities shall be in the midst of the cities that are wasted.
  3. And they shall know that I am the LORD, when I have set a fire in Egypt, and when all her helpers shall be destroyed.
  4. In that day shall messengers go forth from me in ships to make the careless Ethiopians afraid, and great pain shall come upon them, as in the day of Egypt: for, lo, it cometh.
  5. Thus saith the Lord GOD; I will also make the multitude of Egypt to cease by the hand of Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon.
  1. 주 야훼가 말한다. 이집트를 지지하던 나라들이 쓰러지리라. 그토록 거만을 부리던 힘이 꺾이리라. 믹돌에서 스웨네에 이르기까지 사람들이 모두 칼에 맞아 쓰러지리라. 주 야훼가 하는 말이다.
  2. 세상에 이집트 같은 쑥밭이 다시 없고 그 도시들과 같은 폐허가 다시는 없으리라.
  3. 내가 이집트에 불을 놓고 이집트를 돕던 나라들을 다 부수어버리면, 그제야 사람들은 내가 야훼임을 알게 되리라.
  4. 그 날이 오면 이집트의 사절단이 배를 타고 내 앞에서 도망쳐 가리니, 안심하고 있던 에티오피아 사람들은 이것을 보고 놀랄 것이다. 이집트가 망하는 날, 에티오피아 사람들은 부들부들 떨 것이다. 그 날이 곧 온다.
  5. 주 야훼가 말한다. 나는 이집트 무리들을 처치해 버리리라. 바빌론 왕 느부갓네살의 손으로 처치해 버리리라.
  1. He and his people with him, the terrible of the nations, shall be brought to destroy the land: and they shall draw their swords against Egypt, and fill the land with the slain.
  2. And I will make the rivers dry, and sell the land into the hand of the wicked: and I will make the land waste, and all that is therein, by the hand of strangers: I the LORD have spoken it.
  3. Thus saith the Lord GOD; I will also destroy the idols, and I will cause their images to cease out of Noph; and there shall be no more a prince of the land of Egypt: and I will put a fear in the land of Egypt.
  4. And I will make Pathros desolate, and will set fire in Zoan, and will execute judgments in No.
  5. And I will pour my fury upon Sin, the strength of Egypt; and I will cut off the multitude of No.
  1. 뭇 민족들 가운데서도 가장 포악한 군대를 거느리고 가서 느부갓네살은 온 나라를 짓부수리라. 칼을 뽑아 들고 이집트에 쳐들어가, 온 땅을 주검으로 가득 채울 것이다.
  2. 나는 나일 강을 말리고, 그 땅을 악한들의 손에 넘겨주리라. 온 땅을 송두리째 침략자의 손을 빌려 부수어버리리라. 나 야훼가 선언하였다.
  3. 주 야훼가 말한다. 내가 우상들을 없애버리고, 멤피스에서 신상을 집어치우고 이집트인으로서 수령이 될 자를 다 없애버리면 이집트는 두려움으로 가득 차리라.
  4. 나는 바드로스를 쑥밭으로 만들고 소안에 불을 놓고 노에 벌을 내리리라.
  5. 이집트의 성채인 신에 화풀이를 하고, 노의 무리들을 멸절시키리라.
  1. And I will set fire in Egypt: Sin shall have great pain, and No shall be rent asunder, and Noph shall have distresses daily.
  2. The young men of Aven and of Pibeseth shall fall by the sword: and these cities shall go into captivity.
  3. At Tehaphnehes also the day shall be darkened, when I shall break there the yokes of Egypt: and the pomp of her strength shall cease in her: as for her, a cloud shall cover her, and her daughters shall go into captivity.
  4. Thus will I execute judgments in Egypt: and they shall know that I am the LORD.
  5. And it came to pass in the eleventh year, in the first month, in the seventh day of the month, that the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
  1. 내가 이집트에 불을 놓으리라. 신의 성채들은 몸부림을 치고 노는 적에게 뚫리고 멤피스는 대낮에 함락되리라.
  2. 아웬과 비베셋에서 정병들은 칼에 맞아 쓰러지고, 주민들은 사로잡혀 가리라.
  3. 내가 이집트의 멍에를 거기에서 부수고, 그 거드럭거리던 세력을 꺾어버릴 때, 다흐반헤스는 대낮에 캄캄해지리라. 구름이 덮여 캄캄한 가운데 주민들은 사로잡혀 가리라.
  4. 내가 이렇게 이집트에 벌을 내리는 것을 보고서야 사람들은 내가 야훼임을 알게 되리라.'"
  5. 제십일년 정월 칠일 야훼께서 나에게 말씀을 내리셨다.
  1. Son of man, I have broken the arm of Pharaoh king of Egypt; and, lo, it shall not be bound up to be healed, to put a roller to bind it, to make it strong to hold the sword.
  2. Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against Pharaoh king of Egypt, and will break his arms, the strong, and that which was broken; and I will cause the sword to fall out of his hand.
  3. And I will scatter the Egyptians among the nations, and will disperse them through the countries.
  4. And I will strengthen the arms of the king of Babylon, and put my sword in his hand: but I will break Pharaoh's arms, and he shall groan before him with the groanings of a deadly wounded man.
  5. But I will strengthen the arms of the king of Babylon, and the arms of Pharaoh shall fall down; and they shall know that I am the LORD, when I shall put my sword into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he shall stretch it out upon the land of Egypt.
  1. "너 사람아, 나는 이집트 왕 파라오의 한 팔을 이미 부러뜨렸다. 그리고 힘을 내어 칼을 다시 잡을 수 있도록 약을 바르고 붕대를 감아 싸매지도 못하게 하였다.
  2. 주 야훼가 말한다. 내가 이제 이집트 왕 파라오를 쳐서 그의 남은 힘센 팔 하나마저 부러뜨려 그 손에서 칼이 떨어지게 하리라.
  3. 내가 이집트를 여러 나라에 쫓아내어 뭇 민족들 가운데 흩어져 살게 하리라.
  4. 바빌론 왕의 손에 나의 칼을 쥐어주고 그의 두 팔에 힘을 주어 파라오의 두 팔을 부러뜨리게 할 것이다. 파라오는 칼에 찔려 그의 앞에서 비명을 지르며 죽으리라.
  5. 바빌론 왕의 팔은 나에게서 힘을 얻겠지만, 파라오의 두 팔은 떨어져 나갈 것이다. 바빌론 왕이 내가 쥐어준 칼을 들고 이집트로 쳐들어가는 것을 보고서야 사람들은 내가 야훼임을 알게 되리라.
  1. And I will scatter the Egyptians among the nations, and disperse them among the countries; and they shall know that I am the LORD.
  1. 내가 이집트를 여러 나라에 쫓아내어 뭇 민족 가운데 흩어져 살게 하는 것을 보고서야 사람들은 내가 야훼임을 알게 되리라."
