- The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. Corrupt are they, and have done abominable iniquity: there is none that doeth good.
- God looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, that did seek God.
- Every one of them is gone back: they are altogether become filthy; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.
- Have the workers of iniquity no knowledge? who eat up my people as they eat bread: they have not called upon God.
- There were they in great fear, where no fear was: for God hath scattered the bones of him that encampeth against thee: thou hast put them to shame, because God hath despised them.

- (다윗의 교훈시. 성가대 지휘자를 따라 '마할랏'이란 슬픈 곡조에 맞춰 부른 노래) 어리석은 사람은 그 마음에 '하나님이 없다.' 고 말한다. 그들이 부패하고 더러운 일을 행하니 선을 행하는 사람이 없구나.
- 하나님이 하늘에서 모든 인간을 굽어살피시며 지혜로운 사람과 하나님을 찾는 사람이 있는지 보려 하셨으나
- 다 잘못된 길로 갔으며 하나같이 더러워졌고 선을 행하는 사람이 없으니 하나도 없구나.
- 하나님이 물으신다. '악을 행하는 자들이 다 무식한가? 그들은 떡 먹듯이 내 백성을 약탈해 먹고 나를 부르지 않는구나.'
- 그들이 두려워할 것이 없는데도 크게 두려워하는 것은 하나님이 자기 백성을 친 원수들의 뼈를 흩으셨음이라. 하나님이 그들을 버리셨으므로 그들이 패배의 수치를 당하게 되었구나.
