	신명기 26:12-28:14 모세는 하나님께 드려진 성물을 레위인과 객과 고아와 과부에게 주어 배불리 먹게 한 후 하나님께 기도하면서 그들에게 주어진 모든 것이 하나님에 의한 것임을 고백하게 했다. 그는 자신의 두번째 설교를 통하여 백성들에게 율법의 자세한 내용을 말한 후, 가나안에 들어간 뒤에 에발 산에 돌비들을 세우고 석회를 바른 다음 그 위에 율법을 기록할 것을 명령했다.

	십일조 규례(26:12-26:19)

When thou hast made an end of tithing all the tithes of thine increase the third year, which is the year of tithing, and hast given it unto the Levite, the stranger, the fatherless, and the widow, that they may eat within thy gates, and be filled;

Then thou shalt say before the LORD thy God, I have brought away the hallowed things out of mine house, and also have given them unto the Levite, and unto the stranger, to the fatherless, and to the widow, according to all thy commandments which thou hast commanded me: I have not transgressed thy commandments, neither have I forgotten them.

I have not eaten thereof in my mourning, neither have I taken away ought thereof for any unclean use, nor given ought thereof for the dead: but I have hearkened to the voice of the LORD my God, and have done according to all that thou hast commanded me.

Look down from thy holy habitation, from heaven, and bless thy people Israel, and the land which thou hast given us, as thou swarest unto our fathers, a land that floweth with milk and honey.

This day the LORD thy God hath commanded thee to do these statutes and judgments: thou shalt therefore keep and do them with all thine heart, and with all thy soul.

3년마다 한 번씩 여러분은 특별히 농작물의 십일조를 거두어 레위인과 외국인과 고아와 과부에게 주어 여러분의 성 안에서 먹고 살게 하십시오.

여러분은 그렇게 한 다음에 여러분의 하나님 여호와 앞에서 이렇게 말하십시오. '내가 주께서 명령하신 대로 모든 십일조를 레위인과 외국인과 고아와 과부에게 주어 십일조에 관한 주의 명령을 어기지 않았고 그것을 잊지도 않았습니다.

내가 슬픔을 당했을 때 십일조를 먹지 않았고 부정한 몸으로 그것을 만지지 않았으며 죽은 자에게 그것을 제물로 바치지도 않았습니다. 나는 나의 하나님 여호와께 순종하여 주께서 나에게 명령하신 모든 것을 그대로 다 실행하였습니다.

주의 거룩한 처소인 하늘에서 내려다 보시고 주의 백성 이스라엘에게 복을 주시며 또 주께서 우리 조상들에게 약속하신 대로 우리에게 주신 그 기름지고 비옥한 땅에 복을 내려 주소서.

여러분은 오늘 여호와 하나님이 여러분에게 주시는 이 모든 법과 규정을 마음과 정성을 다하여 충실히 지키십시오.

Thou hast avouched the LORD this day to be thy God, and to walk in his ways, and to keep his statutes, and his commandments, and his judgments, and to hearken unto his voice:

And the LORD hath avouched thee this day to be his peculiar people, as he hath promised thee, and that thou shouldest keep all his commandments;

And to make thee high above all nations which he hath made, in praise, and in name, and in honour; and that thou mayest be an holy people unto the LORD thy God, as he hath spoken.

오늘 여러분은 여호와를 여러분의 하나님으로 인정하고 또 그분에게 순종하며 그분이 명령하신 모든 법과 규정을 지키겠다고 약속하였습니다.

그리고 여호와께서도 약속하신 대로 여러분을 보배로운 자기 백성으로 인정하시고 여러분이 그분의 모든 명령을 지켜야 한다고 선언하셨습니다.

여호와께서는 여러분을 다른 민족보다 뛰어난 민족이 되게 하시고 칭찬과 명예와 영광을 얻게 하시며 약속하신 대로 여러분을 그분의 거룩한 백성이 되게 하실 것입니다.'

	에발 산의 제단(27:1-27:26)

And Moses with the elders of Israel commanded the people, saying, Keep all the commandments which I command you this day.

And it shall be on the day when ye shall pass over Jordan unto the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee, that thou shalt set thee up great stones, and plaister them with plaister:

And thou shalt write upon them all the words of this law, when thou art passed over, that thou mayest go in unto the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee, a land that floweth with milk and honey; as the LORD God of thy fathers hath promised thee.

Therefore it shall be when ye be gone over Jordan, that ye shall set up these stones, which I command you this day, in mount Ebal, and thou shalt plaister them with plaister.

And there shalt thou build an altar unto the LORD thy God, an altar of stones: thou shalt not lift up any iron tool upon them.

그리고서 모세는 이스라엘 지도자들과 함께 백성들에게 이렇게 명령하였다. '여러분은 내가 오늘 여러분에게 명령하는 모든 것을 지켜야 합니다.

여러분이 요단강을 건너 여러분의 하나님 여호와께서 주시는 기름지고 비옥한 땅에 들어갈 때 에발산에 큰 돌들을 세우고 석회를 칠한 다음 이 모든 법과 규정을 거기에 기록하십시오.

(2절과 같음)

그리고 여러분은 거기서 여러분의 하나님 여호와를 위해 철 연장을 사용하지 말고 다듬지 않은 자연석으로 제단을 쌓고 여러분의 하나님 여호와께 불로 태워 바치는 번제를 드려야 합니다.

Thou shalt build the altar of the LORD thy God of whole stones: and thou shalt offer burnt offerings thereon unto the LORD thy God:

And thou shalt offer peace offerings, and shalt eat there, and rejoice before the LORD thy God.

And thou shalt write upon the stones all the words of this law very plainly.

And Moses and the priests the Levites spake unto all Israel, saying, Take heed, and hearken, O Israel; this day thou art become the people of the LORD thy God.

Thou shalt therefore obey the voice of the LORD thy God, and do his commandments and his statutes, which I command thee this day.

또 여러분은 거기서 화목제를 드리고 여러분의 하나님 여호와 앞에서 먹고 즐거워하십시오.

여러분은 그 돌들 위에 이 율법의 모든 말씀을 분명하게 기록해 두어야 합니다.'

그런 다음 모세는 레위 제사장들과 함께 이스라엘 백성에게 이렇게 말하였다. '이스라엘 백성 여러분, 귀를 기울이고 잘 들으십시오. 여러분은 오늘 여러분의 하나님 여호와의 백성이 되었습니다.

그러므로 여러분의 하나님 여호와께 순종하고 오늘 내가 여러분에게 가르친 명령과 규정을 지켜야 합니다.'

And Moses charged the people the same day, saying,

These shall stand upon mount Gerizim to bless the people, when ye are come over Jordan; Simeon, and Levi, and Judah, and Issachar, and Joseph, and Benjamin:

And these shall stand upon mount Ebal to curse; Reuben, Gad, and Asher, and Zebulun, Dan, and Naphtali.

And the Levites shall speak, and say unto all the men of Israel with a loud voice,

Cursed be the man that maketh any graven or molten image, an abomination unto the LORD, the work of the hands of the craftsman, and putteth it in a secret place. And all the people shall answer and say, Amen.

바로 그 날 모세는 백성들에게 이렇게 명령하였다.

'여러분이 요단강을 건너가면 시므온 지파, 레위 지파, 유다 지파, 잇사갈 지파, 요셉 지파, 베냐민 지파는 축복을 선포하기 위해 그리심산에 서고

르우벤 지파, 갓 지파, 아셀 지파, 스불론 지파, 단 지파, 납달리 지파는 저주를 선포하기 위해 에발산에 서십시오.

그리고 레위 사람들이 큰 소리로 백성에게 다음과 같이 외치면 백성들은 '아멘' 하고 대답하십시오.

레위 사람: '나무나 돌이나 쇠로 우상을 만들어 몰래 섬기는 자는 하나님의 저주를 받을 것이다. 여호와께서는 이런 우상을 미워하신다.' 백성: '아멘!'

Cursed be he that setteth light by his father or his mother. And all the people shall say, Amen.

Cursed be he that removeth his neighbour's landmark. And all the people shall say, Amen.

Cursed be he that maketh the blind to wander out of the way. And all the people shall say, Amen.

Cursed be he that perverteth the judgment of the stranger, fatherless, and widow. And all the people shall say, Amen.

Cursed be he that lieth with his father's wife; because he uncovereth his father's skirt. And all the people shall say, Amen.

레위 사람: '자기 부모를 얕보고 멸시하는 자는 저주를 받을 것이다.' 백성: '아멘!'

레위 사람: '자기 이웃의 땅 경계석을 옮기는 자는 저주를 받을 것이다.' 백성: '아멘!'

레위 사람: '소경에게 길을 잘못 인도하는 자는 저주를 받을 것이다.' 백성: '아멘!'

레위 사람: '외국인과 고아와 과부의 재판을 공정하게 하지 않는 자는 저주를 받을 것이다.' 백성: '아멘!'

레위 사람: '자기 아버지의 첩과 잠자리를 같이하여 그의 아버지를 욕되게 하는 자는 저주를 받을 것이다.' 백성: '아멘!'

Cursed be he that lieth with any manner of beast. And all the people shall say, Amen.

Cursed be he that lieth with his sister, the daughter of his father, or the daughter of his mother. And all the people shall say, Amen.

Cursed be he that lieth with his mother in law. And all the people shall say, Amen.

Cursed be he that smiteth his neighbour secretly. And all the people shall say, Amen.

Cursed be he that taketh reward to slay an innocent person. And all the people shall say, Amen.

레위 사람: '짐승과 음란한 짓을 하는 자는 저주를 받을 것이다.' 백성: '아멘!'

레위 사람: '친자매든 이복 자매든 자기 자매와 성관계를 하는 자는 저주를 받을 것이다.' 백성: '아멘!'

레위 사람: '자기 장모와 잠자리를 같이하는 자는 저주를 받을 것이다.' 백성: '아멘!'

레위 사람: '남을 암살하는 자는 저주를 받을 것이다.' 백성: '아멘!'

레위 사람: '죄 없는 사람을 죽이려고 뇌물을 받는 자는 저주를 받을 것이다.' 백성: '아멘!'

Cursed be he that confirmeth not all the words of this law to do them. And all the people shall say, Amen.

레위 사람: '이 모든 율법을 지키지 않는 자는 저주를 받을 것이다.' 백성: '아멘!'

	순종으로 인한 축복(28:1-28:14)

And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the LORD thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth:

And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God.

Blessed shalt thou be in the city, and blessed shalt thou be in the field.

Blessed shall be the fruit of thy body, and the fruit of thy ground, and the fruit of thy cattle, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep.

Blessed shall be thy basket and thy store.

'만일 여러분이 여호와의 하나님 여호와께 순종하고 내가 오늘 여러분에게 가르치는 여호와의 모든 명령을 충실히 지키면 여러분의 하나님 여호와께서 여러분을 세계에서 가장 뛰어난 민족이 되게 하실 것입니다.

만일 여러분이 여러분의 하나님 여호와께 순종하면 다음과 같은 복을 받게 될 것입니다.

여러분이 가정에서도 복을 받고 일터에서도 복을 받을 것이며

자손이 번성하고 농사가 잘 되고 가축이 증식하며

먹을 것이 풍성할 것입니다.

Blessed shalt thou be when thou comest in, and blessed shalt thou be when thou goest out.

The LORD shall cause thine enemies that rise up against thee to be smitten before thy face: they shall come out against thee one way, and flee before thee seven ways.

The LORD shall command the blessing upon thee in thy storehouses, and in all that thou settest thine hand unto; and he shall bless thee in the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.

The LORD shall establish thee an holy people unto himself, as he hath sworn unto thee, if thou shalt keep the commandments of the LORD thy God, and walk in his ways.

And all people of the earth shall see that thou art called by the name of the LORD; and they shall be afraid of thee.

그리고 여러분이 하는 일마다 복을 받아 다 잘 될 것입니다.

여호와께서는 여러분을 치러 오는 여러분의 원수들을 여러분 앞에서 패하게 하실 것입니다. 그래서 그들이 여러분을 공격하려고 떼를 지어 쳐들어왔다가 사방 뿔뿔이 흩어져 달아날 것입니다.

여호와께서 여러분이 하는 모든 일에 복을 주셔서 여러분의 창고가 가득 차게 하실 것입니다. 이와 같이 여호와께서는 여러분에게 주실 땅에서 여러분을 축복하실 것입니다.

만일 여러분이 여러분의 하나님 여호와께 순종하고 그분이 명령하신 모든 것을 지키면 여호와께서 약속하신 대로 여러분을 그의 거룩한 백성이 되게 하실 것입니다.

그러면 세상의 모든 민족이 여호와께서 여러분을 자기 백성으로 택한 것을 보고 여러분을 두려워할 것입니다.

And the LORD shall make thee plenteous in goods, in the fruit of thy body, and in the fruit of thy cattle, and in the fruit of thy ground, in the land which the LORD sware unto thy fathers to give thee.

The LORD shall open unto thee his good treasure, the heaven to give the rain unto thy land in his season, and to bless all the work of thine hand: and thou shalt lend unto many nations, and thou shalt not borrow.

And the LORD shall make thee the head, and not the tail; and thou shalt be above only, and thou shalt not be beneath; if that thou hearken unto the commandments of the LORD thy God, which I command thee this day, to observe and to do them:

And thou shalt not go aside from any of the words which I command thee this day, to the right hand, or to the left, to go after other gods to serve them.

여호와께서는 여러분에게 주겠다고 여러분의 조상들에게 약속하신 땅에서 여러분에게 많은 자녀와 수많은 가축과 풍성한 농작물을 주실 것이며

또 하늘 문을 열어서 철따라 단비를 내려 곡식이 잘 되게 하시고 여러분이 하는 모든 일에 복을 주실 것입니다. 그러면 여러분이 많은 민족에게 빌려 주기는 해도 빌리지는 않을 것입니다.

만일 여러분이 오늘 내가 여러분에게 가르치는 여호와의 모든 명령을 듣고 지키면 여호와께서 여러분을 머리가 되게 하고 꼬리가 되게 하지 않을 것이며 언제나 여러분을 높여 주실 것입니다.

그러므로 여러분은 무슨 일이 있어도 오늘 내가 여러분에게 전하는 여호와의 명령을 떠나 다른 신을 섬기거나 경배해서는 안 됩니다.
