요한복음 2:1-2:25

 예수님은 가나의 혼인 잔치에서 물을 포도주로 변화시키는 이적을 행하심으로써 창조적 권능을 나타내셨다. 유월절에 예루살렘에 가신 예수님은 성전을 정결케 하셨으며, 표적을 구하는 유대인들에게 자신의 죽음과 부활을 예고하셨다.
  
  가나의 혼인 잔치(2:1-2:12)    
 
  1. And the third day there was a marriage in Cana of Galilee; and the mother of Jesus was there:
  2. And both Jesus was called, and his disciples, to the marriage.
  3. And when they wanted wine, the mother of Jesus saith unto him, They have no wine.
  4. Jesus saith unto her, Woman, what have I to do with thee? mine hour is not yet come.
  5. His mother saith unto the servants, Whatsoever he saith unto you, do it.
  1. 이틀 후에 갈릴리 가나에 결혼식이 있었다. 예수님의 어머니도 거기 계시고
  2. 예수님과 제자들도 초대를 받아가셨다.
  3. 그런데 포도주가 떨어졌다. 그래서 예수님의 어머니가 예수님께 '이 집에 포도주가 떨어졌구나.' 하자
  4. 예수님은 '어머니, 나와 무슨 관계가 있다고 그러십니까? 아직 내 때가 되지 않았습니다.' 하고 대답하셨다.
  5. 그러나 예수님의 어머니는 하인들에게 '무엇이든지 그가 시키는 대로 하여라.' 하고 일러 주었다.
  1. And there were set there six waterpots of stone, after the manner of the purifying of the Jews, containing two or three firkins apiece.
  2. Jesus saith unto them, Fill the waterpots with water. And they filled them up to the brim.
  3. And he saith unto them, Draw out now, and bear unto the governor of the feast. And they bare it.
  4. When the ruler of the feast had tasted the water that was made wine, and knew not whence it was: (but the servants which drew the water knew;) the governor of the feast called the bridegroom,
  5. And saith unto him, Every man at the beginning doth set forth good wine; and when men have well drunk, then that which is worse: but thou hast kept the good wine until now.
  1. 거기에는 유대인의 정결 의식에 사용되는 돌항아리 여섯 개가 놓여 있었는데 각각 물 두세 통 드는 크기였다.
  2. 예수님이 하인들에게 '항아리마다 물을 가득 채워라.' 하시자 그들은 아구까지 물을 가득 채웠다.
  3. 그리고 예수님이 하인들에게 '이제 떠다가 잔치 책임자에게 갖다 주어라.' 하시자 하인들은 그대로 하였다.
  4. 잔치 책임자는 물로 된 포도주를 맛보고 어디서 났는지 몰랐으나 그것을 떠 온 하인들은 알고 있었다. 잔치 책임자는 신랑을 불러
  5. '흔히 좋은 포도주를 먼저 내놓고 손님들이 취한 뒤에 그보다 못한 것을 내놓는데 당신은 지금까지 좋은 포도주를 남겨 두었군요' 하였다.
  1. This beginning of miracles did Jesus in Cana of Galilee, and manifested forth his glory; and his disciples believed on him.
  2. After this he went down to Capernaum, he, and his mother, and his brethren, and his disciples: and they continued there not many days.
  1. 예수님이 갈릴리 가나에서 처음으로 이런 기적을 행하여 그의 영광을 나타내시자 제자들은 예수님을 믿게 되었다.
  2. 그 후 예수님은 어머니와 형제들과 제자들과 함께 가버나움으로 내려가 거기서 며칠 동안 머무셨다.
 
  성전 정화(2:13-2:25)    
 
  1. And the Jews' passover was at hand, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem.
  2. And found in the temple those that sold oxen and sheep and doves, and the changers of money sitting:
  3. And when he had made a scourge of small cords, he drove them all out of the temple, and the sheep, and the oxen; and poured out the changers' money, and overthrew the tables;
  4. And said unto them that sold doves, Take these things hence; make not my Father's house an house of merchandise.
  5. And his disciples remembered that it was written, The zeal of thine house hath eaten me up.
  1. 유대인의 유월절이 다가오자 예수님은 예루살렘으로 올라가셨다.
  2. 예수님은 성전 안에 소와 양과 비둘기 파는 장사꾼들과 돈 바꿔 주는 사람들이 앉아있는 것을 보시고
  3. 노끈으로 채찍을 만들어 양과 소를 모두 성전에서 몰아내시고 돈 바꿔 주는 사람들의 돈을 쏟아 버리시며 그들의 상을 둘러엎으셨다.
  4. 그리고서 비둘기 파는 사람들에게 '이것들을 당장 치우고 앞으로는 내 아버지의 집을 장사하는 집으로 만들지 말아라.'하고 말씀하셨다.
  5. 그러자 제자들은 '주의 성전을 위하는 열심이 내 속에 불타오릅니다.'라고 쓰인 성경 말씀이 생각났다.
  1. Then answered the Jews and said unto him, What sign shewest thou unto us, seeing that thou doest these things?
  2. Jesus answered and said unto them, Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.
  3. Then said the Jews, Forty and six years was this temple in building, and wilt thou rear it up in three days?
  4. But he spake of the temple of his body.
  5. When therefore he was risen from the dead, his disciples remembered that he had said this unto them; and they believed the scripture, and the word which Jesus had said.
  1. 그때 유대인들이 나서서 예수님께 '당신은 무슨 권리로 이런 일을 하시오? 그만한 권리를 가졌다면 이것을 입증할 만한 기적을 우리에게 보여 주시오.' 하였다.
  2. 그래서 예수님은 그들에게 '이 성전을 헐어라. 내가 3일 안에 다시 세우겠다.' 하고 대답하셨다.
  3. 그러자 그들은 '46년이나 걸려 이 성전을 지었는데 당신이 3일 안에 세우겠다는 말씀이오?' 하고 따져 물었다.
  4. 그러나 예수님이 말씀하신 성전은 자신의 몸을 가리킨 것이었다.
  5. 제자들은 예수님이 죽으셨다가 부활하신 후에야 이 말씀을 기억하고 성경과 예수님이 하신 말씀을 믿게 되었다.
  1. Now when he was in Jerusalem at the passover, in the feast day, many believed in his name, when they saw the miracles which he did.
  2. But Jesus did not commit himself unto them, because he knew all men,
  3. And needed not that any should testify of man: for he knew what was in man.
  1. 예수님이 유월절 기간에 예루살렘에 계실 때 그분이 행하시는 기적을 보고 많은 사람들이 예수님을 믿었다.
  2. 그러나 예수님은 모든 사람을 알고 계셨기 때문에 자신을 그들에게 맡기지 않으셨으며
  3. 사람의 속 뜻을 아셨기 때문에 어떤 사람에 대해서 누구의 설명을 들으실 필요도 없었다.
