- O lord God of my salvation, I have cried day and night before thee:
- Let my prayer come before thee: incline thine ear unto my cry;
- For my soul is full of troubles: and my life draweth nigh unto the grave.
- I am counted with them that go down into the pit: I am as a man that hath no strength:
- Free among the dead, like the slain that lie in the grave, whom thou rememberest no more: and they are cut off from thy hand.

- 나의 기도를 들으시고 내가 부르짖는 소리에 귀를 기울이소서.
- 내 영혼이 너무 많은 고통에 시달려 내가 거의 죽게 되었습니다.
- 나는 곧 무덤에 들어갈 사람과 같이 되어 힘이 하나도 없습니다.
- 내가 죽은 자처럼 버려져 주의 기억에서 완전히 사라지고 주의 보호의 손길에서 끊어진 채 무덤에 누워 있는 살해당한 사람처럼 되었습니다.

- Thy wrath lieth hard upon me, and thou hast afflicted me with all thy waves. Selah.
- Thou hast put away mine acquaintance far from me; thou hast made me an abomination unto them: I am shut up, and I cannot come forth.
- Mine eye mourneth by reason of affliction: LORD, I have called daily upon thee, I have stretched out my hands unto thee.
- Wilt thou shew wonders to the dead? shall the dead arise and praise thee? Selah.

- 주는 나를 가장 깊은 웅덩이와 흑암 가운데 던져 넣으시고
- 주의 분노로 나를 무겁게 내리누르시며 주의 모든 파도로 나를 괴롭게 하셨습니다.
- 주는 내 친구들까지 나를 버리게 하셨으며 내가 그들에게 보기 싫은 놈이 되게 하셨으므로 내가 갇혀서 헤어날 수 없게 되었으며
- 내 눈마저 슬픔으로 쇠약해졌습니다. 여호와여, 내가 매일 주께 부르짖으며 주를 향해 손을 들고 기도합니다.
- 주께서 죽은 자에게 기적을 보이시겠습니까? 죽은 자가 일어나서 주를 찬양할 수 있겠습니까?
