역대상 4:1-5:26

 유다의 추가적 족보와 열두 지파 중에서 시므온, 르우벤, 갓, 요단 동편 므낫세 반 지파의 족보가 기록되어 있다.
  
  유다와 시므온 지파의 족보(4:1-4:43)    
 
  1. The sons of Judah; Pharez, Hezron, and Carmi, and Hur, and Shobal.
  2. And Reaiah the son of Shobal begat Jahath; and Jahath begat Ahumai, and Lahad. These are the families of the Zorathites.
  3. And these were of the father of Etam; Jezreel, and Ishma, and Idbash: and the name of their sister was Hazelelponi:
  4. And Penuel the father of Gedor, and Ezer the father of Hushah. These are the sons of Hur, the firstborn of Ephratah, the father of Bethlehem.
  5. And Ashur the father of Tekoa had two wives, Helah and Naarah.
  1. 유다의 자손들은 베레스, 헤스론, 갈미, 훌, 소발이었으며
  2. 소발의 아들 르아야는 야핫의 아버지였고 야핫은 아후매와 라핫을 낳았으며 이들은 모두 소라에 살던 사람들의 조상이 되었다.

  3. And Coz begat Anub, and Zobebah, and the families of Aharhel the son of Harum.
  4. And Jabez was more honourable than his brethren: and his mother called his name Jabez, saying, Because I bare him with sorrow.
  5. And Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, Oh that thou wouldest bless me indeed, and enlarge my coast, and that thine hand might be with me, and that thou wouldest keep me from evil, that it may not grieve me! And God granted him that which he requested.
  1. 나아라는 그를 통해서 아훗삼, 헤벨, 데므니, 하아하스다리를 낳았고

  3. And the sons of Kenaz; Othniel, and Seraiah: and the sons of Othniel; Hathath.
  4. And Meonothai begat Ophrah: and Seraiah begat Joab, the father of the valley of Charashim; for they were craftsmen.
  5. And the sons of Caleb the son of Jephunneh; Iru, Elah, and Naam: and the sons of Elah, even Kenaz.
  1. 수하의 형인 글룹은 므힐을 낳았고 므힐은 에스돈을,

  3. And his wife Jehudijah bare Jered the father of Gedor, and Heber the father of Socho, and Jekuthiel the father of Zanoah. And these are the sons of Bithiah the daughter of Pharaoh, which Mered took.
  4. And the sons of his wife Hodiah the sister of Naham, the father of Keilah the Garmite, and Eshtemoa the Maachathite.
  5. And the sons of Shimon were, Amnon, and Rinnah, Benhanan, and Tilon. And the sons of Ishi were, Zoheth, and Benzoheth.
  1. 여할랄렐의 아들은 십, 시바, 디리아, 아사렐이었다.
  2. 에스라의 아들은 예델, 메렛, 에벨, 얄론이며 메렛은 이집트의 공주였던 비디아와 결혼하였고 비디아는 미리암, 삼매, 에스드모아의 창설자인 이스바를 낳았다. 그리고 메렛은 유다 지파 중에서 또 다른 여자를 아내로 삼아 자식을 보게 되었는데 그들은 그돌의 창설자인 예렛, 소고의 창설자인 헤벨, 사노아의 창설자인 여구디엘이었다.

  1. The sons of Shelah the son of Judah were, Er the father of Lecah, and Laadah the father of Mareshah, and the families of the house of them that wrought fine linen, of the house of Ashbea,
  2. And Jokim, and the men of Chozeba, and Joash, and Saraph, who had the dominion in Moab, and Jashubilehem. And these are ancient things.
  3. These were the potters, and those that dwelt among plants and hedges: there they dwelt with the king for his work.
  4. The sons of Simeon were, Nemuel, and Jamin, Jarib, Zerah, and Shaul:
  5. Shallum his son, Mibsam his son, Mishma his son.
  1. 유다의 아들인 셀라의 자손은 레가의 창설자인 엘, 마레사의 창설자인 라아다, 벧-아스베야에서 모시를 짜는 집안 사람들, 요김과 고세바 씨족들, 요아스, 그리고 베들레헴에서 정착하기 전에 모압을 다스렸던 사랍이었으며 이 이름들은 모두 고대 기록물에 의존한 것이다.

  2. And Shimei had sixteen sons and six daughters: but his brethren had not many children, neither did all their family multiply, like to the children of Judah.
  3. And they dwelt at Beersheba, and Moladah, and Hazarshual,
  4. And at Bilhah, and at Ezem, and at Tolad,
  5. And at Bethuel, and at Hormah, and at Ziklag,
  1. 미스마 이후의 혈통은 함무엘과 삭굴과 시므이로 이어졌다.

  2. And their villages were, Etam, and Ain, Rimmon, and Tochen, and Ashan, five cities:
  3. And all their villages that were round about the same cities, unto Baal. These were their habitations, and their genealogy.
  4. And Meshobab, and Jamlech, and Joshah, the son of Amaziah,
  5. And Joel, and Jehu the son of Josibiah, the son of Seraiah, the son of Asiel,
  1. 벧-말가봇, 하살-수심, 벧-비리, 사아라임이었다.
  2. 그리고 이 밖에 그들이 살던 다른 성은 에담, 아인, 림몬, 도겐, 아산이었으며
  3. 또 그 성들의 주변 부락들은 바알랏까지 남서쪽으로 뻗어 있었다.
  4. 다음은 양떼를 먹일 목장을 찾아서 그들 골짜기 동쪽까지 이동했던 씨족 족장들의 이름이다. 그들은 메소밥, 야믈렉, 요사, 요엘, 예후, 엘료에내, 야아고바, 여소하야, 아사야, 아디엘. 여시미엘, 브나야, 시사였다. 시사는 시비의 아들이며 시비는 알론의 아들이고 알론은 여다야의 아들이었다. 그리고 여다야는 시므리의 아들이며 시므리는 스마야의 아들이었다.

  2. And Ziza the son of Shiphi, the son of Allon, the son of Jedaiah, the son of Shimri, the son of Shemaiah;
  3. These mentioned by their names were princes in their families: and the house of their fathers increased greatly.
  4. And they went to the entrance of Gedor, even unto the east side of the valley, to seek pasture for their flocks.
  5. And they found fat pasture and good, and the land was wide, and quiet, and peaceable; for they of Ham had dwelt there of old.

  5. 그들은 좋은 목장을 발견하였는데 그 땅은 안정되고 평화로운 곳이었으나 함의 후손들이 사는 땅이었다. 그래서 유다 왕 히스기야 때에 이 족장들은 그 땅을 침략하여 함의 후손들이 사는 집을 파괴하며 그 곳 주민을 학살하고 그 땅을 빼앗아 거기에 정착하였다.
  1. And these written by name came in the days of Hezekiah king of Judah, and smote their tents, and the habitations that were found there, and destroyed them utterly unto this day, and dwelt in their rooms: because there was pasture there for their flocks.
  2. And some of them, even of the sons of Simeon, five hundred men, went to mount Seir, having for their captains Pelatiah, and Neariah, and Rephaiah, and Uzziel, the sons of Ishi.
  3. And they smote the rest of the Amalekites that were escaped, and dwelt there unto this day.

  르우벤, 갓, 므낫세 지파의 족보(5:1-5:26)    
 
  1. Now the sons of Reuben the firstborn of Israel, (for he was the firstborn; but forasmuch as he defiled his father's bed, his birthright was given unto the sons of Joseph the son of Israel: and the genealogy is not to be reckoned after the birthright.
  2. For Judah prevailed above his brethren, and of him came the chief ruler; but the birthright was Joseph's:)
  3. The sons, I say, of Reuben the firstborn of Israel were, Hanoch, and Pallu, Hezron, and Carmi.
  4. The sons of Joel; Shemaiah his son, Gog his son, Shimei his son,
  5. Micah his son, Reaia his son, Baal his son,
  1. 야곱의 장남은 르우벤이었으나 그는 자기 아버지의 첩 중 하나와 잠자리를 같이하여 자기 아버지를 욕되게 하였기 때문에 장자권이 그의 이복 동생인 요셉에게로 돌아갔다. 그래서 공식상의 족보에는 르우벤을 장남으로 기재하지 않고 있다.
  2. 요셉이 비록 장자권을 얻긴 했으나 유다는 이스라엘에서 강력하고 영향력 있는 지파였기 때문에 다스리는 자가 유다 지파에서 나오게 된 것이다.
  3. 그리고 야곱의 맏아들이었던 르우벤에게는 네 아들이 있었는데 그들은 하녹, 발루, 헤스론, 갈미였다.
  4. 요엘의 후손들은 다음과 같다. 그의 아들은 스마야이며 그의 손자는 곡이요 그의 증손은 시므이였다.
  5. 또 시므이의 아들은 미가이며 그의 손자는 르아야였고 그의 증손은 바알이었다.
  1. Beerah his son, whom Tilgathpilneser king of Assyria carried away captive: he was prince of the Reubenites.
  2. And his brethren by their families, when the genealogy of their generations was reckoned, were the chief, Jeiel, and Zechariah,
  3. And Bela the son of Azaz, the son of Shema, the son of Joel, who dwelt in Aroer, even unto Nebo and Baalmeon:
  4. And eastward he inhabited unto the entering in of the wilderness from the river Euphrates: because their cattle were multiplied in the land of Gilead.
  5. And in the days of Saul they made war with the Hagarites, who fell by their hand: and they dwelt in their tents throughout all the east land of Gilead.
  1. 그리고 바알의 아들은 브에라였다. 그는 르우벤 지파의 지도자였으며 앗시리아의 디글랏-빌레셀왕에게 포로가 되었던 자이다.

  3. And their brethren of the house of their fathers were, Michael, and Meshullam, and Sheba, and Jorai, and Jachan, and Zia, and Heber, seven.
  4. These are the children of Abihail the son of Huri, the son of Jaroah, the son of Gilead, the son of Michael, the son of Jeshishai, the son of Jahdo, the son of Buz;
  5. Ahi the son of Abdiel, the son of Guni, chief of the house of their fathers.
  1. 갓 지파는 르우벤 지파의 맞은편에 있는 바산 땅에서 동으로 멀리 살르가까지 흩어져 살았으며
  2. 요엘은 그 지파의 족장이었고 그 다음 인물은 사밤이며 그 다음은 야내와 사밧이었다.
  3. 또 그들의 친척인 다른 일곱 씨족의 족장들은 미가엘, 므슬람, 세바, 요래, 야간, 시아, 에벨이었다.
  4. 이들은 모두 후리의 아들인 아비하일의 후손들인데 그 조상들을 거슬러 올라가면 아비하일, 후리, 야로아, 길르앗, 미가엘, 여시새, 야도, 부스의 순서이다.
  5. 그리고 압디엘의 아들이며 구니의 손자인 아히는 그 씨족의 지도자가 되었고
  1. And they dwelt in Gilead in Bashan, and in her towns, and in all the suburbs of Sharon, upon their borders.
  2. All these were reckoned by genealogies in the days of Jotham king of Judah, and in the days of Jeroboam king of Israel.
  3. The sons of Reuben, and the Gadites, and half the tribe of Manasseh, of valiant men, men able to bear buckler and sword, and to shoot with bow, and skilful in war, were four and forty thousand seven hundred and threescore, that went out to the war.
  4. And they made war with the Hagarites, with Jetur, and Nephish, and Nodab.
  5. And they were helped against them, and the Hagarites were delivered into their hand, and all that were with them: for they cried to God in the battle, and he was intreated of them; because they put their trust in him.

  2. 이상은 유다의 요담왕과 이스라엘의 여로보암왕 당시에 족보에 기록된 것이다.

  4. 그들은 하갈, 여두르, 나비스, 노답 사람들에게 선전 포고를 한 다음
  5. 하나님을 신뢰하고 그에게 도움을 구하였다. 그래서 하나님은 그들의 기도를 들으시고 하갈 사람들과 그들의 동맹군을 그들 앞에서 패하게 하셨다.
  1. And they took away their cattle; of their camels fifty thousand, and of sheep two hundred and fifty thousand, and of asses two thousand, and of men an hundred thousand.
  2. For there fell down many slain, because the war was of God. And they dwelt in their steads until the captivity.
  3. And the children of the half tribe of Manasseh dwelt in the land: they increased from Bashan unto Baalhermon and Senir, and unto mount Hermon.
  4. And these were the heads of the house of their fathers, even Epher, and Ishi, and Eliel, and Azriel, and Jeremiah, and Hodaviah, and Jahdiel, mighty men of valour, famous men, and heads of the house of their fathers.
  5. And they transgressed against the God of their fathers, and went a whoring after the gods of the people of the land, whom God destroyed before them.
  1. 그들은 그 전쟁에서 낙타 50,000마리, 양 250,000마리, 당나귀 2,000마리를 빼앗고 적 100,000명을 생포하였다.
  2. 또 그들은 적을 수없이 죽였는데 이것은 하나님이 그들을 위해 싸워 주셨기 때문이었다. 이렇게 해서 그들은 포로로 잡혀갈 때까지 하갈 사람들의 땅에서 살았다.
  3. 요단강 동쪽의 므낫세 반 지파 사람들은 바산에서부터 바알-헤르몬과 스닐, 곧 헤르몬산에 이르는 땅 전역에 흩어져 살았으며 그들의 수는 대단히 많았다.
  4. 그리고 그들 씨족의 족장들은 에벨, 이시, 엘리엘, 아스리엘, 예레미야, 호다위야, 야디엘이었으며 이들은 모두 용사의 지도자로서의 명성을 떨쳤다.
  5. 그러나 그들은 그들 조상의 하나님께 진실하지 못하고 오히려 하나님이 멸망시킨 여러 민족의 신들을 섬기고 범죄하였다.
  1. And the God of Israel stirred up the spirit of Pul king of Assyria, and the spirit of Tilgathpilneser king of Assyria, and he carried them away, even the Reubenites, and the Gadites, and the half tribe of Manasseh, and brought them unto Halah, and Habor, and Hara, and to the river Gozan, unto this day.
  1. 그러므로 하나님은 디글랏-빌레셀이라고도 알려진 앗시리아 왕 불에게 그 땅을 침략하도록 하였다. 그래서 그는 르우벤 지파와 갓 지파와 므낫세 반 지파 사람들을 포로로 잡아가서 할라, 하볼, 하라, 그리고 고산 강변에서 살도록 했는데 그들은 오늘날까지도 그 곳에 살고 있다.
